Visiting SLC, SLPY made pop in classes easy by offering an affordable beginner package and simple online scheduling. I thought I knew yoga but these classes took it to the next level. Instructors are detailed, encouraging and patient with all practice levels. I highly recommend if you are ready to power up your yoga experience.

After hitting my 100 classes at Salt Lake Power Yoga, I have only amazing things to say. What started as a workout has become so much more, a place to nourish both my body and mind. The community here is incredible, and over the past year it’s truly become my safe space. So grateful for every breath, every pose, and every person who makes this place feel like a second home.

I was so excited but didn’t match the website description about the service. Like if you get the intro course for $50 then on the website it says 2 weeks but after i signed it it turned to be 10 days on email then on the app you literally unable to book your classes in 7 days.

I didn’t want to fight for it bcz the classes were poorly ventilated, if u get a class after the afternoon OMG just the sweat and the nasty armpit smell starts from the very first door u open to that building which was the 2 floors down. I thought ok it was just today it happened to be then it happened 3 times. I understand it’s the hot yoga and stuff but after every class i observed the teachers they don’t open the window or sth after the class even on the hallway. The machine that is making the room hot is taking the air inside the room and recycles it. Not having any kind of ventilation is literally robbing us of our oxygen. Directly relating to our performance and how quickly we will get tired. I’m already iron deficient like most women. So

Lastly the studio wasn’t big enough bcz literally it’s hard to stretch when it’s fully packed plus the teachers should have mic bcz with many people’s breath difficult to hear the instructions. Also I rented the mats one day bcz i forgot my own. It was dirty and smelling awful.

A really wonderful place… discovered salt lake power yoga on a whim with the block party that they were doing with other local exercise studios (torrent cycle + peak 45) and it ended up being my favorite part of the day! I’ve gone to three different instructors classes and they’ve all been great. Beautiful studio and great vibes! Totally recommend.

Absolutely LOVED my first visit to SLPY! The MELT class was amazing and Stephanie is an incredible instructor. Given I am a newbie, I was nervous. Stephanie has such a warm energy and helped everyone in the class to enjoy and push themselves to their individual comfort level. Such a welcoming environment! I'm hooked and can't wait to go again - highly recommend.

The workout is good but I echo another comment about no warm-up and experiencing tightness in the lower back. I also noticed each class has the exact same flow for the power flow. Some are in a slightly different order. After a couple of classes, I would be unhappy to be paying for a membership that has the exact flow each time.

Salt Lake Power Yoga is a great studio. I began practicing here knowing absolutely nothing about yoga, I would follow what the people around me were doing because I did not know the name of the yoga poses until eventually, I began to understand and know the yoga poses. The instructors were welcoming and gave me cues on how to better my poses. I have now been with the studio for about 3 years and I can say it has been a great experience or me. I love Dillion’s Sunday class, it’s definitely not the easiest of practices. It’s one of the harder ones (not for the faint of heart) but it’s one of the best! (recommended) I keep going back most Sundays. Nothing better than a good power flow to end and start the week at the same time, seriously. Quinn has a great pace to his flows and I enjoy them very much. Sarah S is very good, great practice. And Krissi is also one of my new favorites, she has great transitions to the poses, great practice. To further my personal practice, I did Yoga Teacher Training and Salt Lake Power Yoga this last 2024 Spring and that was an incredible experience, The training was a well-rounded program that instructed on Baron Baptiste’s Journey into power yoga sequence, breath, mediation, history of yoga, the human body, presence, mindfulness, love, touch and assist… I had a great experience with an incredible group of Yogis, some of which are now teaching at Salt Lake Power Yoga. So, these new, freshly yoga teacher trained Yoga instructors are well prepared and knowledgeable and with teaching practice will only get better at their craft. Been to other yoga studios and sure they are great, yet Salt Lake Power Yoga is the studio for me, it has been since I started to practice yoga there a few years back.

I've been attending classes regularly for the past four years at SLPY and have found a yoga studio that feels like home. I was incredibly nervous on day one about putting myself into this unknown situation, half-naked in a room full of strangers. All it took was a few minutes of one class for me to get me hooked. I've done other variations of hot yoga, but this location and community feels local and is if the roots of the place run deep. I frequent Dillion and Sarah's classes, both are phenomenal, but every instructor brings a personality and a liveliness to the practice. In the over 200 times I've been, I've never left with anything but a good feeling. The studio is located in a funky glass volume hovering above the building below. As you ascend into the space with amazing views of the mountains, you leave you behind the stressors of the day and can melt into caring for your body and mind. Every season is something different, and yet the same. In winter, it's the only place that can warm my toes. In summer, leaving the sweat bath brings a new appreciation for the slightly cooler temperatures outside. I give this place my full hearted stamp of approval.

Upon entering the space, you’re warmly greeted by cordial staff, setting a welcoming tone for your experience. As you proceed to the studio, you’re treated to a breathtaking view of the Wasatch mountains. The space is beautiful and clean, enhancing the sense of tranquility.

Outstanding instructors guide you through your practice in a perfectly heated studio, maintained at 98.6 degrees—the ideal temperature for your body to warm up and move fluidly. The studio offers a variety of classes, each led by amazing instructors. Dillicious provides an incredible range of practices, from detox, power flow to express and melt practices that leave you feeling rejuvenated and invigorated.

SLPY is truly a beautiful place to practice. If you love yoga, you will love SLPY.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Salt Lake Power Yoga, to say the least. I initially signed up for a one-year membership with an understanding that it would automatically end after the designated period. However, my frustration began when I continued to be billed monthly well beyond the contract's end date.

Upon contacting the studio multiple times, I was met with inconsistent responses and unprofessionalism. Initially, I was told someone would get in touch with me, which took multiple attempts to achieve. When I finally spoke with a representative, they claimed their policies had changed and that they had emailed me about these changes. Let me be crystal clear: I have never received any such emails — my inbox only contains promotional messages and receipts for billing charges that should have ceased.

Their suggestion was that I check their Instagram for policy updates which not only is impractical but also wholly unprofessional for a business of their stature. A reputable organization should always communicate policy changes through official channels such as their website or direct email correspondence.

After escalating the issue to their headquarters, I was promised a resolution — to stop the charges and investigate a refund. It has now been nearly a month since our last interaction, and surprise, surprise, I've heard nothing back. Their blatant disregard for honoring contracts and their customers' time is utterly disgraceful.

Due to the lack of accountability, failure to honor the original contract terms, and inadequate customer service exhibited by Salt Lake Power Yoga are simply unacceptable. I strongly advise potential customers to beware of their misleading practices and unreliable customer support.

I really love that Salt Lake Power Yoga has lots of community events. Their free outdoor events in the summer drew me in and reminded me how much I like yoga. Hot yoga is generally too expensive for me to afford. But through following them on Insta I have been able to find some deals on passes and classes. They have affordable community classes every weekday. I love that I can access this community and a really high-end yoga experience on my budget. Their instructors are really fantastic too. This is a small studio tucked away on the second floor of an older office building. Beware— it is NOT easy to find, and parking is even harder. After the fact, I was told “if you get a parking ticket in this specific lot we will cover it- in the adjacent lot, we will not”— which is to highlight how difficult and convoluted the parking situation is, which isn’t detailed on their website.

The studio is heated, which I personally love. The power sequence was the exact same in each class, even though I took two different ones.

The studio has a beautiful view of the mountains, which was centering and grounding and 10/10. The studio itself is older and offers no amenities besides shampoo/conditioner in the two small showers (no towels, no visible water fountain, no face or hand towels, no working paper towel dispenser, etc). Either a $5 or $8 charge to rent a mat and a yoga towel, depending who rang me up (and despite the promise that your first rental is free).

The patrons of the studio seemed friendly enough with one another, but a real sticking point to me was the lack on welcoming or inclusivity by the yoga instructors or employees of the studio itself. I made it known on multiple occasions that I was new and visiting, unfamiliar with the space, etc. and no one bothered to ask or engage me in any way, despite my attempts to be friendly. The most specific encounters where it felt the least welcoming were with the yoga instructor herself (Sarah), whom I had as a teacher twice in less than 24 hours and on both accounts tried to have small talk with. To be clear- she was very willing to talk to regulars, but definitely not someone new. I would not recommend this studio if you are visiting and looking for a place to feel welcomed.

Super grateful I survive every class in a puddle of sweat and tears. I am so addicted to the defeat I feel after each class that I keep going back, you couldn’t keep me away if you tried!! Lol

Seriously tho, classes are really challenging and all the teachers are amazing. This place is body positive and a good place to practice being challenged in your yoga skills. Probably the hardest yoga I have ever done in my whole life and I love it. Some days I feel defeated and others I feel like I’ve risen to the occasion— but regardless of the outcome I always walk out with a smile for challenging myself to do something that is both positive and hard.

Sign up for the trial— you’ll become addicted just like me and my boyfriend have. See you in class!!

SLPY has been my go-to yoga studio since sometime. I’ve gone here on and off since 2019. I like that they offer yoga classes that are power packed and short (45 mins) as well as the usual (60 mins) and long ones (75 mins).
They also have some other classes - dance and powerFit(equipment) for people who like a variety of options.
Some of my favorite yoga teachers there - Sarah, Dillion and Greg.
During summer they organize yoga at the Capitol and Library - which is free for everyone! These are conducted out in the open and are refreshing.

Nice staff, quality teachers, easy parking in back, good hot yoga spot that does the job. Def recommend if you wanna sweat and stretch. Def challenging if you want to amp it.

The studio space itself is gorgeous, mats and towels and everything is provided. There is a spectacular view of the mountains and there are many class options. Granted I was just visiting SLC but I've practiced vinyasa for several years and I had a lot of trouble with the instructors starting a flow right away without doing any kind of warm up (chest, shoulder, core openers). The class I took also had several students new to the practice and the instructor gave them little to no guidance. The flows themselves had several poses that would be a lot of strain on the lower back with no release. A friend of mine has practiced here occasionally and commented that each time she's practiced here, she experiences intense pain on her low back after. Something that has never happened to us in the numerous places we have practiced together.

The community at Salt Lake Power Yoga is excellent! As a new transplant from the east coast, one of the first things I wanted to find was a yoga ‘home’. I tried a variety of studios in the area and although i had never done hot yoga before, this place had the warmest and most welcoming staff. I also found the practitioners to be equally as pleasant. In terms of the classes, with different instructors you do get a different experience so i would suggesting trying several to find which classes you enjoy the most. All have a general pattern from Sun A to Sun B into standing poses then working your way to the mat to finish with inversion before final resting pose so there is familiarity between teachers - some give a much wider array of poses in the session. The longer sessions are fantastic although I general hit the early morning or lunch sessions. Certainly worth a few classes to get the experience!

I love the studio, the teachers, and the community they create. Starting into yoga is intimidating. From day one I have felt, not just welcome, but cared for. And now, almost two years later, I hate missing a day. I get so much fulfillment out of the practice. They offer more than just yoga practices and I’ve just started taking some of the meditation classes. I’m feeling better than ever!

Do not take Julie Freeds morning class. The energy in there is horrible. As is she. Very rude and not well versed in Yoga teaching. I’d say more practice hours are a good idea. Worst yoga class I’ve taken in years. The other classes are quite good this was my only bad experience

As everyone has stated, this is probably the best studio in Salt Lake City. I never really liked regular yoga that much, but the heat helps your muscles/joints open up so much more. And the sweat if very detoxifying.

Ah where do I begin. I've been practicing here for a few years and couldn't love it more. Such lively, humble and supportive instructors that bring so much value to this community. Carly Brooke Snow's wednesday class is like my church- I need it on a weekly basis. Greg Galloway's presence and energy is the most positive and uplifting. His classes are challenging but in the best way possible and I never regret going. And finally, Holly and Shalee came into the local business I work at today and I was very giddy and excited about the news of meeting my niece soon as my sister is scheduled to have her baby today. I asked if they had any recommendations for being supportive in the delivery room and to keep my sister grounded- Shalee handed me her own grounding oil that she uses and said I could have it to help my sister today. It is moments like this and human interactions that are a plenty at this studio. beyond grateful for this supportive community.

The teaching team is amazing. I always feel welcome even when I come by myself. I love their summer classes outside of the main building (roof top yoga, City Creek yoga by fountain, etc.) They offer free classes, which gives you a chance to get to know the team. One time there was almost 600 people on the roof top of the library. You would think it will be annoying to be so close next to somebody else, but trust me it was so much fun to watch sunset with all of them! Must at least try. They are the Best in salt Lake!

I never enjoyed yoga until SLPY. The instructors are great. Parinaz and Misty will challenge even the most experienced yogi. Great traveling yogi deals and early morning classes make this the perfect studio to visit while in SLC.

This is the best place I have found for hot yoga. The instructors are incredibly friendly and the class will kick your but! The best advice I received from a friend was don't just take this class once commit to three times and you will be hooked!

This is my favorite studio in the Salt Lake Valley. My favorite teachers are Misty and Carly! They know how to work you while still enabling a mentally calming practice. Jen does a wonderful job at managing the studio and demonstrating compassion to fellow teachers and students. I would HIGHLY recommend this place. The heat can be a little much at first, but give it a chance of going to at least five classes or so.

I love, love, love this studio! I have been a member of other yoga studios and SLPY is my favorite! Everyone who works here really strives to create a sense of community and acceptance. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and work patiently with students to help them learn poses correctly. They encourage us to try harder for better results in our practice. SLPY offers many variations of yoga classes for all types/levels as well as sculpting classes that will leave you breathless!

I have lived in Salt Lake for about 2 years now and have been to several different studios trying to find the right one to fit me and my practice. My first experience at Salt Lake Power Yoga was last summer during teacher training, and I instantly loved everything about it. Not only is the studio clean and organized, but the view is incredible. I have truly enjoyed each class with each teacher... all of them bringing something fun and different to my practice, while encouraging to make it about me and what my body needs. There is something so gratifying and powerful about hot sweaty yoga that really sets a great tone for the rest of my day, and life in general! I will continue to practice here as often as possible.

As someone that was apprehensive to try yoga at first, I loved SLPY from my first experience. The nice atmosphere made me think it may be somewhat pretentious and I could not have been more wrong. The owners and teachers are some of the most welcoming people I've ever met. Jen, Marc and Kerry know what it means to make someone feel welcomed and appreciated as a client. Although my exposure to yoga may be somewhat limited, my exposure to branding and community is not. They are doing all the right things to build an amazing brand and an amazing community!

Salt Lake Power Yoga is definitely one of my favorite SLC studios. Great mountain views, clean facility, knowledgeable teachers and I always get a good workout. I wasn't too interested in hot yoga before this studio since I only knew about Bikram Yoga as being the "hot type." Love having power yoga in a heated setting.
