Terrible experience. No one ever answers the phone. My daughter's teacher was awful. My daughter would beg me not to go. It was tough because i had already paid.
She said once she asked to use the bathroom and the teacher wouldn't let her. She said the teacher would get mad at them for everything and when my daughter asked for help with a back bend, the teacher wouldn't help.
We thought about moving teachers but my daughter just doesn't want to go back because of the experience. Don't waste your money.

It was very important that if our daughter was going to spend a lot of hours practicing, that she be in an environment that emphasized safe skill development, had supportive coaches, and a fun atmosphere. GTC/Salt Lake Twisters is all of those things. She truly enjoys all her time there!

My daughter has been at twisters for 2 years in their compulsory program. We came from another gym in south Jordan after having a bad experience. I cannot say enough about the staff at Twisters! The coaching has been excellent. My daughter took second place all around in her division in the state comp last year. More importantly to me though, she absolutely loves going to gym. The staff have carefully cultivated a gym-wide vibe of positivity and team spirit. Everyone is in it to win it but cares about the entire team. Drama has been discouraged and minimal. The culture is just incredible. It was super important to me that my daughter be in a place of uplift and goodness since she spends so much time there. I love that I can trust that. Again, can’t say enough!

We have been at GTC for over 8 years now. It is truly my daughter’s second home and she has loved her experience developing through the program. She is happy and excited to go every day and loves her coaches. It has been a very positive and professional atmosphere, and we have been very happy with her progress!

We absolutely love Salt Lake Twisters! Our daughter has been going here since she was 2 (she’s 11 now!), and it truly feels like her second home. The coaches are fantastic — they’ve helped her grow so much over the years, not just in gymnastics, but in confidence too.
Aimee at the front desk is the best — always so friendly and helpful, and she makes everyone feel welcome the moment they walk in.
This place is more than just a gym to us. It’s a second family, and we’re so thankful to be part of such an amazing community!

This gym is such an incredible place for kids to come and explore gymnastics or be involved competitively. We have two daughters: 1 started here when she was 4 (wish we found the gym earlier) and another started at 3! Our now 7 year old is in level 3 and I can’t say enough great things about the coaches, program leadership and managers. They are all supportive, wonderful people who truly get to know the gymnasts. They help build skills like confidence, motivation and commitment. We honestly wouldn’t take our girls elsewhere! We also have hosted several birthday parties here! You get the whole gym to yourself and the price is very affordable. Come check it out!

Our daughter started at Salt Lake Twisters this past summer, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience so far! She’s made incredible progress in just a few months and looks forward to every practice. The coaches are positive, skilled, and truly invested in helping each gymnast grow and build confidence. The environment is both fun and encouraging, and it’s been amazing to see her passion for gymnastics really take off. We’re so grateful we found this gym — highly recommend Salt Lake Twisters.

GTC had the best staff and coaches! They are super thoughtful and caring while being able to teach quality gymnastics. I have kids that participate in both rec and comp programs. It is great to have a gym that can cater to individual needs. We especially enjoy the competitive culture where development and being a good teammate is encouraged over a highly internal team competitive culture.

My daughter is on a team here and it’s been amazing. They accepted her with open arms from day one. I’ve seen her gain so much confidence in the short time she’s been here and that says a lot. Aimee, Ashley, Courtney, Emma, Rachel…. They’re all amazing!

We had been coming weekly for 2 years, with little progress in skills my daughter cannot do a cartwheel on her own, coach's cant coordinate to cover classes effectively. Final straw was my daughter who got trampled in warmups by a much bigger classmate and the coaches really could have cared less.

We have two daughters that practice at GTC. The staff is professional, efficient, and we feel safe having our kids there. Other (tumbling) gyms that we’ve been to either felt unsafe, like there was so much wasted time for setting up equipment by teachers, or there was too much repetition, two reasons our energetic girls got bored during classes. At GTC the pace is fast, practice routines are varied enough that it stays interesting, and the girls are responsible for moving mats and equipment, keeping them busy, building responsibility and strength. Great gym.

My daughter is on L3. She started in the babies tumble class. We left for 2 months bc my child was getting discouraged by her skill level bars. We weren’t gone for more than 3 weeks before she started asking to return. I took her to a gym that focuses solely on tumbling. She would only wear her GTC leotards at the new gym, and always reminded them that she was a “GTC gymnast”. This is no shade to that gym. They were a phenomenal tumbling gym. GTC is simply the gym for my gymnast. Her time away brought her back more encouraged and ready to push through the mental blocks and insecurities. She competes now and is loving every aspect of the process - whether she places or not. That’s all a former athlete can ask.

We had my daughter’s 9 year old birthday party here and it was fanatic! I’ve taken my daughter here for classes as well and she’s really liked them. The only downside is they don’t always answer their phones or call back so that’s kind of frustrating. But still, they’re a great business.

GTC is practically my daughters second home, and she loves it there, always excited for training, even though she’s there almost everyday it’s never enough! We've been attending GTC for five years and it has been a phenomenal experience. The coaches are great and spend quality time with my gymnast. She moved from recreation to the team a few years ago. Her growth in gymnastics is awesome to watch. She spends 10+ hours in the gym each week and still asks to have her birthday party there!

I also highly recommend the summer camp. It's how we found GTC. The camp is well managed, offers extended day care, and is extremely reasonably priced.

* Just an update to my review* We have moved over to baileys gymnastics and they are so amazing with my daughter. Very friendly Very engaged. They actually teach my daughter step by step how to do the excersises. She feels very welcome and opened up and made friends right away. The shyness, hesitation and confusion she was showing at gtc( due to the lack of friendly engaging leadership) disappeared on her first day at the new gym.So for anyone looking for a new place where there kid will be happy I highly recommend baileys gymnastics.*

Wouldnt recommend. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because it is a very nice gym. Other than that im not impressed. my daughter has been going for a couple months and so far not great. I agree with other people on here. The people arent very friendly or welcoming. my daughter is brand new at this and there was no formal introduction or anything really. Her first instructor was rude to her and I always see a new instructor everytime we go. They do not seem very friendly or engaged. They dont give any specific instruction and when my daughter needs help she is ignored while the instructor talks to other kids around her and my daughter just stands there not knowing what to do. For example they were doing back flips her second day in class...my daughter hasnt done a backflip a day in her life and they didnt give her any instruction as to how to do a backflip. I was listening today in class and my daughter asked for more help as to what exactly she was supposed to be doing and the instructor told her I dont care just pick a move run down the line for all I care just hurry up because we are running behind...so much for instruction. I think we will be looking for a new school next month.

Stay away. Not a strong program in terms of teaching: "teachers" are not attentive at all, seem annoyed with the students, do not offer specific corrections, and generally don't seem to be paying very much attention. My daughter noticed this poor attitude immediately and it's clear from the viewing stands, too. I was very disappointed as the gym set up is impressive and "looks great." The front desk people, however, do seem engaged and interested in what's best for students -- but this positive attitude was not carried over into the actual instruction.

My daughter has enjoyed her beginner gymnastics class with Isabel in the fall. She gets 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ She is so good with the kids. I would highly recommend gymnastics with Isabel.

ON THE OTHER HAND THE TUMBLING INSTRUCTORS ARE RUDE. THEY DO NOT PAY ATTENTION TO THE KIDS AT ALL. MY DAUGHTER TUMBLED OFF OF THE RUNWAY INTO A POLE AND THE INSTRUCTOR DIDN'T BOTHER TO SEE IF SHE WAS OKAY. I CAUGHT THAT SAME INSTRUCTOR ROLLING HER EYES AT MY DAUGHTER WITH AN ANNOYED LOOK ON HER FACE WHEN MY DAUGHTER HAD A QUESTION. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TUMBLING HERE SOLELY BASED ON THE INSTRUCTORS.

I started my daughter, Molly, a Time GTC when she was 4 years old. She had a tough time with me leaving her when she first started in the recreation gym classes. I remember one specific lesson, I tried dropping her off and she just cried and cried (pretty hysterically). Coach Kristie came over to talk to Molly and myself and I was SO IMPRESSED with how professional she was. Molly calmed down quick and was able to pull herself together and finish the class without another tear. I LOVED coach Kristie for the way she pushed the girls to do tough things, kept them on task, and was able to do it in a loving way.
Now Molly is training level 4 competitively and our experience with her all of her coaches has been incredible. Randi, Saige and Wendy and helped Molly so much. I HAVE ALL GOOD THINGS TO SAY. Molly’s a 6 year old and is at the gym 16 hours a week and CAN’T GET ENOUGH. She is learning such valuable skills for her gymnastics and life. Her confidence, determination, goal oriented aspects are nothing but impressive to me considering she is a 6 year old. I would recommend this facility 100%. LOVE GTC!

I would never recommend anyone to this facility to anyone.
This has been a terrible experience and a huge waste of money. We signed our 2 year old up so he would be able to interact with other children his age and to get to have fun tumbling. The teachers have been terrible and speak down to the kids. We saw one of the teachers push another 3 year old girl off of the balance beam and then asked the girl, "why can't you do anything right?". These kids are not there to become olympic athletes and the way that girl was treated is ridiculous. The last time our son finished a class, he got out and said he didn't want to go to gymnastics anymore because teacher wasn't nice to me. I understand that 2 - 3 year old children have a lot of energy and don't do everything that you ask them to, but none of the kids I have watched in the class are disrespectful or bad. These teachers should not be responsible for toddlers. If I could rate this experience with zero stars I would.

My daughter just enrolled into gymnastics class this session (winter 2018). It is her first time doing gymnastics. There wasn't much of a welcome on her first day (actually--none at all) and nobody told us where to go or what to expect. This wasn't great considering I have an anxious daughter. No teacher introduction either. I also have no idea what curriculum is that my daughter is learning. At the end of the session, what should she be able to do? I have no idea because nobody talks to us before or after class to let us know what she does well and what she will learn. It is expensive so I would expect some communication with the parent about the child's progress, etc.

That being said--the facility is nice and my daughter has a great time. She likes her coach. And, because there aren't a lot of options out there, this will do! So far, our experience has been average. Not great, not bad.

Yikes. If you want your 5-6 year old children bullied and called names and snapped at, then this is your place ! The coach is awful. My daughters coach was fine, but From he viewing platform I have witnessed ridiculous, childish and unnerving behavior from an adult coach to her class. I am speechless. She needs anger management and a new occupation not working with children. I understand that gymnastics is about discipline. But it is also about building confidence. And this is not a priority for her.
