About the Club

Saratoga Springers specializes in tumbling and cheerleading instruction for boys and girls ages 2 and up.

For over 14 years Saratoga Springers has helped thousands of students learn and master their tumbling skills, prepare for dance tryouts, cheerleading tryouts, and even audition for musical theater!

Our team of coaches are previous and current cheerleaders, dancers or gymnasts. We believe that the best way to teach are by hands-on instruction and physical demonstration. We take pride that our team can perform what we are teaching.

Nice and affordable. My daughter loves her cheer sessions and is learning quite a bit. I like that it’s a month-to-month payment plan and that children get to learn a routine and showcase what they learned in a show.

This review is for tumbling tots. Our experience was that there is a difference in quality depending on whether Kara is teaching or one of her teenage coaches. Kara brings a lot of energy and does a lot of coaching, stopping to correct hand position or have kids try again, etc. Her teenage coaches are talented gymnasts but not necessarily the same level of teachers.

Pros: Kara was responsive and easy to work with. Class always started on time. Equipment and gym in good repair.

I also liked that I could put my two toddlers who are 16 months apart in the same class.

Cons: when Kara is not helping teach, the coaching isn't the same level of quality. We went for the last 3 months of the school year and Kara probably taught about half the time, maybe a little more. The other times still had value, especially interspersed with the higher quality coaching and direction when Kara teaches.

Overall, it was a positive experience for my daughters and we are grateful to coach Kara and coach Addie for providing it.

Kara is hands down the best coach my daughter has ever been to for tumbling. She not only helped her with form and skills, but mindset and confidence.

We did a bungee exercise class here and it was so fun! Maria was a great instructor—her class was so fun and you couldn’t even tell you are working out. Highly recommended giving it a try!

Horrible customer service, and lack of training with staff on how to properly give correct information to potential new tumblers. 👎

We love it. My girls were in gymnastics for 4 years previously and never got a back handspring. My one daughter got hers after 2 mths of springers. Small classes and more individualized attention make them awesome!

Owner Kara (aka, Coach K) is very personable, relatable, a superlative instructor, cares deeply about the success of her students, and is willing to go the extra mile for her students and their achievements!

I have been following Saratoga Springers for years and would definitely recommend it! I took classes there as a pre-teen and my siblings (6, 9, 12) have been taking her classes since they were toddlers and love going to tumbling class! The studio itself is very clean, and has great equipment. What really makes Saratoga Springers unique is the owner and her staff. Kara is passionate and so patient with the little ones. They are great with all age groups keeping classes fun and engaging while still helping them learn a ton. They do a great job balancing the learning rate of different kids in the class and helping everyone keep up. Kara's staff are well trained and do a fantastic job making sure the kids are having fun in a safe environment. Something I love about Saratoga Springers is how dedicated they are to helping kids develop a passion for tumbling and encouraging them to live an active life style! If you have been thinking about enrolling your kiddos or yourself in classes go do it. You won't regret it!

Overall, I'm just really underwhelmed with this place. The building is nice and the equipment is clean and well taken care of. That is the upside. But as for the classes, they're kind of a mess. The main teacher, Kara, is hardly ever there. She has a bunch of teenage girls teaching the classes, which would be fine, but they never seem to know what they're doing. They just kind of wing it as they go, and the class gets chaotic and crazy. Granted, my daughter is in the 2-4 year-old's class, so it can be a bit chaotic anyway. But the lack of guidance doesn't help. And the class seems to be too large (for that age group) for the number of teachers to really assist the kids. Today they seemed to give up, and literally played Duck, Duck, Goose for 10 of the 30 minutes of class. Really? I pay for my child to come play Duck, Duck, Goose? We can play that at home. We won't be returning for the fall classes, and I wouldn't recommend this place to friends.

This place is such a disappointment! There's a ridiculously strong spirit of negativity & catty competition. Registration is so unbelievably disorganized - I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry! You stand outside in a line for hours (we even got there 30 minutes early!). For us, we were the first to be put on the waitlist... The reward for all the time spent waiting? A massive email goes out to everyone on the waitlist at the same time. Whoever responds the fastest gets a spot. (Sign-up genius...please learn it!) I will not support a business that proudly disrespects its clients & their time, & which teaches our children to be disorganized & unkind. Even if the location is convenient, there are much better, kinder, more organized coaches & facilities around here (like the legacy center).

Our daughter has been a Saratoga Springer for over a year now, and she loves it! She is only 5, but she has progressed in her tumbling and gymnastic skills so much in the last year--and we look forward to continuing to see her progress. Kara and her team are committed to providing each student with the attention and coaching they need as an individual.

Also, we are super excited about the new location at the Crossroads. Thanks, Saratoga Springers!

Our kids have taken tumbling and cheer from Kara Barney for years. She and her staff are loving, kind, encouraging pros that have taught our kids so much more than tumbling. I highly recommend this gym to anyone that is looking for a coach that will push your kids to accomplish their goals, (whether they are interested in making a cheer team or just learning a back handspring) while building confidence and strength. I could not recommend them enough!
