I have followed Anne for several years. Her programming is excellent. She varies the workouts so that every part of the body is addressed, and always has alternative movements if you can’t perform a certain exercise. She is very patient and provides constructive feedback on form. She is the best trainer I have ever had.
Just an update. I have had some medical challenges over the past year, and Anne has been helping me regain strength and stamina. Her style of teaching really helps me keep striving for improvement. She is the best! BTW, the other folks have been very supportive and on my journey back.
No matter what your situation is, I believe Anne can help you improve how you move and feel, not to mention improving your strength. Thanks again Anne!!

Anne delivers real results that have helped in all aspects of my life and activities! Her programming is incredibly thoughtful and intentional, and is designed to progressively build strength, endurance, and overall fitness. Stout is a great place for people of all levels and interests to come and work on our fitness. The group classes consist of various levels of fitness and strength ranging from beginners learning form to superior athletes and everyone has a great time working together and pushing each other in a positive manner. The groups are super fun and friendly with people of all ages coming together to suffer and grow.

I've been training at Stout for the past 5 months, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Anne is a true pro! She helped me correct my form with snatches and swings, significantly improved my press, and has all but eliminated my lower back pain. Anne also opened my eyes to a lot of interesting squat/lunge variations and tons of cool kettlebell complexes to try.
Anne's expertise and attention to detail are unmatched. She creates a welcoming and inclusive environment that makes everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their fitness level. The gym itself is cool and well-equipped, catering to all your strength and conditioning needs.

Dropped in for a class with Anne at STOUT today and had a great experience! Clean gym, quality equipment, friendly coach and members, and a great small group atmosphere. Anne delivered clear applicable cues and coaching. It was a strength-focused workout, so heavy weights were moved and paired nicely with engaging accessory movements. It was challenging, without being gimmicky. I will be back!

Can't really say enough good things about this place. If you want to make friends you'll find some here. If you want to work out and be left alone there's a spot. The programming is top notch. In less than 3 months my chronic back pain was gone. Attention to form and quality while building strength. Lots of variation and progression. Also, Anne's kind of cool I guess.

I was in the worst shape I have been in and in my 40's started at Stout, 3?months ago. I am physically stronger, much happier, and have even been able to start running again thanks to the training I have received over the past three months. The environment is very relaxed and welcoming, which I have been grateful for.
Anne is very smart in her workouts focusing on the whole body and giving options if you need them. She is also very concerned with form ensuring everyone in the gym is working out efficiently and effectively.

I have been attending Stout conditioning for a little over a year. The instructor Anne has built a fun, competitive and supportive community.
Anne provides excellent direction and demonstration of moves. She strategically plans each days workout and takes all skill levels in to account. She is more than happy to work with a variety of fitness levels and will make the appropriate modifications when needed (this reduces injury) to ensure personal success.
I would absolutely recommend Stout conditioning to anyone who wants to increase their fitness, have fun and be a part of a family feel community!

Best. Gym. Ever.
I am not sure you can even call this is a gym, it's more of a community. Anne, our fearless leader, creates and cultivates the most thought out programming. She is well oiled machine of workouts that have very to no little boundaries. She asks us to show up and do the work, maybe laugh a bit and in return we keep coming back for more. We aren't a cult of black and white photos, maybe just a bunch of weirdos who enjoy satanic workouts and listening to DMX at 9AM on a Tuesday morning. We simply are the best, because we are coached by the best. As someone who has been in the SLC gym scene for 10+ years, this isn't a gym of fad diets, workouts or programming. This a gym built by a leader who is continuously pushing us, pushing her own education, and continues to push the limits. Everyone has a place at the STOUT table, you just have to be brave enough to take the chair and have a seat.

Anne is an amazing coach and a total badass. I've done private sessions, group classes, and remote programming with her, and I'd recommend her to anyone. Her training style has a serious focus on form, and she always offers alternative movements to accommodate my injuries and issues. Stout is an amazing gym and the instructor Anne is an even more amazing coach. She is a subject matter expert in all thing’s Kettlebell, barbell, functional strength, motivation and has a wonderful way of pushing you to be your strongest / most capable self. The culture at her gym is very positive, fun and empowering. Her workouts are always unique and challenging.
After some major injuries I was scared to do any barbell work despite really loving it. Anne taught me all the proper techniques to lift safety and has allowed me to get back to barbell lifting with a robust foundation of core strength. I now have a much more positive relationship with lifting/exercise and general body image. Thanks Anne, you’re the best!

I became a part of the Stout community about a month ago, after encouragement from family members that Anne was the best personal trainer they had experienced. I have experienced serious past injuries and want to get strong, while being safe and decided to give Stout a try. Anne is helping me to reach my goals at my pace, all the while watching my form and helping me to prevent further injury. Anne is extremely knowledgeable towards sustainable movements and provides correction and suggests alternatives to movements. Starting group classes can be intimidating but Anne takes time to explain new things and is very patient when learning new movements. As someone that didn't enjoy working out much when I was younger, I now enjoy going into the gym for the social aspect and the physical aspect.

I came to STOUT to round out some of the deficiencies in strength and mobility I was noticing after only running for the last few years. It has been a great decision in more ways than one. While I have improved my strength, flexibility and overall conditioning, the best part of STOUT has been the community this gym has offered me. I have been training with Anne, owner of STOUT, in some capacity since 2014! My adult fitness journey has truly been shaped by her and her impeccable programming...I keep getting stronger and more fit as I approach 40 years old this year! As a Physical Therapist myself, I understand the importance of quality of movement and focus on form, functional movement patterns and proper exercise dosage. Anne has nailed this on the head with her thoughtful programming with a perfect mix of cardio, kettlebells, Olympic and Power weightlifting, body weight movement and flexibility training.
