We’ve been at this karate dojo for 6+ years now. My two boys have grown and learned so much while being there. It’s been so fun to watch them learn and progress as the years have gone on. I am so glad I signed my son up for this Dojo! He has had so much fun! The Sensei’s are so kind and fun. My son totally looks up to them! They have so many fun things planned throughout the year. Mother’s Day week where moms get to come and be on the mat with your kid, and same with Father’s Day!
They also incorporate things at home that have to do with good behaviors and that helps motivate my son to be obedient at home! He has learned so much and wants to continue is journey with Karate! I’m so glad we found a sport he enjoys at an awesome place!

We started karate for our two boys for different reasons. One of them needed some disciplined focus and somewhere to channel all of his energy, the other needed some strength training to support his joints that was a no impact to low impact sport. We wanted something more than your typical rec center class. This studio has met each of my boys where they needed to be met, and each have excelled in their own way. The coaches are good at knowing that you can train them on an individual level and see great results. Dax and Te have done so much for my boys. We joined karate thinking it was a non-compete sport, but at this location, kids can be competitive if they want to. The instructors all train and compete at world class level, and they pass that knowledge on to their students. I thought one of my boys would be able to reach some of those levels, but worried the other would have to move at a slower pace with his joints and limitations. However, with the right training and coaching, they are both now competing on their demo team and surpassing my expectations for the school and what we were getting into. We are grateful for their approach to all things and the place they have given our boys to train. We were expecting a weekly little class for our boys to go and get some good movement in and now they are having the time of their life, hitting goals and training for their black belts.

The lessons are great. The kids are nice. The teachers are good at teaching. However, the communication is awful. They do not have enough time to communicate and seem almost bothered when concerns are brought up. They have a lot of “I don’t knows”. I’m keeping my son in because he loves it, but as a parent, this place is extremely frustrating to deal with.

Bait & Switch. Graduated my daughter to the black belt class in front of the entire class. Did not state it would be an additional 3 YEAR contract, @ $189 a month. Said she could go back to her former class, but how humiliating for my 11 year old daughter? We would be open to 6 months, to a year but three years?! And not even communicating that before hand? As of today she’s discontinuing classes out of principal. With 6 months left on our current contract at $140 a month. I thought martial arts founding principals were about integrity?

My daughter attended the Jr. classes for 3 years. The instructors, especially Dax, were really great with her and working on her level to make it easier to learn and feel confidence in herself. She really enjoyed how many female leaders were involved, which helped boost her confidence even more. They do a great job of finding ways to keep the kids engaged and having fun (from playing games, to having ticket prizes, fun friendly competitions, etc.). I'd be lying if I said my daughter isn't a more confident child after having taken these classes.

I’m writing this review because we love everything there is about this business and the people here. Dax is super amazing with my son who is now a brown belt but also my 3 year old son who isn’t even in the karate classes and still includes him. Dax, Té , and Brooke at the front desk have completely changed my son in helping him grow up, being confident, getting better grades, listening, helping out around the house, being goofy but also respectful when needed, and also determined. They are amazing role models for my kids and just make us feel like family there. You will not regret signing your kids up for classes here, it helps with all aspects in their life. Justice the owner is also super cool and professional all at once, you can tell that he has accomplished a lot in life and through his karate journey, they have all the experience to make your kid the best he can be. I would refer anyone I know to them. If I could give 100 star rating I would.

My kids had been getting classes for 3 years. I was asked to cancel the class due to relocating to a different state. We had noticed a month and a half prior about leaving, but they kept charging us. I emailed them several times, but they didn't respond to my email at all. They still change on my credit card, and I have to dispute the change every time! I’m feeling distraught with their account system. The teacher is great and the teachers were well cared for my kids, but their account system is terrible! They communicate well when they need to charge money, but they don't respond whenever we need a refund. I hope they become more ethnic and treat the students as a mentor, not the money!

While I know no child is going to be trained one on one, my son made little to no progress in the 10 months he attended. He had some fun, but we stopped going with several months left of the year we paid for. I would not rate so low, but my credit card was charged several times without authorization during the year. And I Just received a text that the tuition charge declined?? We haven’t been to the studio since November and clearly have no intention of paying another full year, and yet you attempted to charge the card???? Dishonest practice and attempted theft.

This is a great and flexible studio. We have attended since it's opening and my kids have benefited beyond my words could say. They have confidence in themselves and value their lives and others. They have physically become stronger and mentally grown more capable. Warning it is impossible to get out of the contract if things don’t work out for your kids! We decided to try out karate for my five-year-old. The first month was pretty good and free. Decided to it to give it a try to see if It could become great. However afternoons did not work for my son and he spent much of class waiting in line :-( we had to give it up but the contract is IMPOSSIBLE to get out of we ended up paying for 11 months of karate that we never did. The credit is only good for a year and can’t be transferred to another studio or towards karate gear or anything else :-( While the instructors are good, and the studio is very responsive, If this doesn’t fit your schedule or it’s not something your child desires to continue be warned that you will pay for the full year regardless :-(

Teachers are fine here but their business practices are objectionable. They require a year (or more) commitment with a signed contract and won't work with families to end contracts early. Their tuition is based on the entire year and if you don't pay up front then they charge interest on the monthly payments. Although, they didn't inform me about the interest charges, I only found out about them when I re-read the contract I had signed (after requesting a copy multiple times!) hoping to find a way out.

My son really enjoys going here, but they advertise one price but one decided to go, hit us with a 10% finance charge. The only way to get around it is to pay an entire year up front. Myself, I am not into pursuing 10% for a karate lesson. A cheap way to track on extra money.

Fantastic, positive, balanced experience for our son. I love that they emphasize life skills, education, and tying those things together to the study of martial arts and physical development. It's a philosophy that many more youth sports could embrace on a deeper level.
