I was a member at the old Gym at city creek. When they moved locations, there was a huge gap before the new one opened. They said to email Cathy about canceling if you didn’t want to continue. I found a different gym and emailed her to cancel. That was last August. I am STILL being charged every month and have sent several follow up emails with no response. This is predatory. This is unprofessional. Don’t trust them.

The new location is definitely a big of a departure from the old location… the space is truly expansive and much less crowded than the previous old one.

The equipment is still plentiful but interestingly there’s no pull up bar to be found. Additionally- the pool is gone so definitely be careful on what you see on the photos as most the content is from the old gym in city center

This gym closed down after I signed up for a membership last year (and paid lots of fees) and now one year later they started charging my card again for 2 months now…. This is not an honest gym. Pretty bummed I have to go to the lengths of disputing charges.

They didn't inform that the gym is going to close and I took a membership a month before we got the news, I paid an unnecessary membership fee at this place

Not impressed with this gym. There’s always equipment broken, it’s overcrowded, there was a stair master that was broken for 6+ months and instead of fixing or replacing it, they just let it sit there forever then removed it altogether. Pretty sure the hot tub has sat broken for like a year. We just recently found out that they will be changing locations—and have no idea when they will reopen again. Nobody received an email notification about this, just a paper sign at check in saying that they would “freeze our accounts and then unfreeze when they reopen”. Which it me, is super unethical. Everybody now has to find a different gym to go to, for who knows how long, and then they’re just going to start charging everyone again without notice? They should at least let people cancel their membership on the spot. We don’t even get a full last month because they are closing on the 25th. Who knows if the new location will work well for most people. The only reason we go to this gym is the convenience factor. That’s it.

Out of town gym goer. The space and amenities are super nice and large, also nice being able to buy a day pass, but very poor gym etiquette by their regular customers.

Someone spit out gum in the dark steam room and left it (although plus they have a steam room) and it glued to my shorts. Some generally passive aggressive behavior in the locker room between a regular local and someone that was new.

Suggest to try the gym if you are able to keep to yourself and are ok with generally bad vibes.

This isn't a real gym. If you take your training seriously, you'll find it severely lacking. Real gyms have multiple squat racks/power cages, tons of barbells, weightlifting stations, olympic rings, etc, and that just isn't the case here. They also have holes in the padding on the useless machines they fill every space with, lol. The crazy thing is they charge 70 a month despite the fact that you're basically stuck doing bodyweight movements if you want to be productive.

Do not give your money to this gym. They are owned by Paramount Acceptance which is a notoriously nefarious company. They are known for not actually canceling your membership when you cancel and they will keep charging you. That's what happened to us and many others. There's even a class action lawsuit open against them right now. The facilities are not worth it, trust me. There's plenty of other gyms in the SLC area that are way better like Ironground. They're amazing and locally owned! Again, beware of The Gym. I strongly advise you to not give them your business.

I live in a small town, so anytime I go to a big city I like to get a day pass at a local gym. I would give the Gym at City Creek 5/5 stars. It has very good equipment, very clean, spacious and friendly staff. I stayed for a long time and did a full body workout which was awesome, because I just finished a great dinner and I'm going to eat some ice cream. My only issue is that when I arrived there was one guy more jacked than me, plus he had a very good tan. In addition, he had a full head of hair and I am bald. But, I have been hitting my legs pretty hard due to a shoulder injury and honestly, my legs were better than his. In addition, I was several inches taller. He left halfway through my workout so I could stop bro flexing next to him and the rest of my workout was even better. This Gym rocks.

The following review is my own opinion and no one else’s. I have to say this because reportedly the manager has a habit of screaming at people who leave bad reviews, and kicking them out (which says a lot about their business practices), and I don’t want people I care about to be harassed along with me.

I’ve been going here for about a year and have watched it become more and more disgusting. The locker rooms are so gross. I feel like I need to take a shower after I shower. One time, I decided to track how long it took the gym to clean up a dirty wet towel on the shower floor. It was three days. The grout is black. It smells. Lockers frequently lock you out, which is of all things one of the lesser inconveniences.

The cardio equipment is constantly broken. There are like only four working treadmills. Most of the stair climbers are broken. They’ve started locking all the rooms, so it’s difficult to find a spot to do stretches/abs.

I say these things because they seem easily fixable, and I truly hope they change it. Just like charge $5 more for an additional cleaner or something…

2 stars for location and the pool, which is good. Front desk staff is nice. Also, potential pro, it’s easy to get out of your contract. Just leave a bad review, and you’ll get out in no time at all. (:

It's a good gym with nice amenities. The location is great except for the crowded elevator that takes forever to get you up to the third floor. The free classes are great. Better customer service and equipment would make this a great gym. I enjoyed going here for several years but I've switched because it's no longer the closest gym to my home.

When my partner and I toured the space, we were told the yoga/dance studio would be unlocked and available for use. This was important to us because we are both dancers. Less than a month in, they changed that and started locking the space. When we talked to Cathy, the GM, about how important the use of that space was to our decision to choose this gym, she basically said we were SOL. When we wasked for our sign up fee back, as we had been members less than 1 month, we were denied that as well. Not down with the bait and switch, nor the willingness to make it up to us.

Decent equipment although the benches fill up at peak times. Very nice pool although I haven’t actually used it. Only offer one towel which gets soaking if you go in the steam and then want to shower, also don’t have smaller hand towels to use while you workout. They have body wash in the showers but no shampoo or conditioner. For the price it’s definitely decent value but don’t expect an experience on par with Equinox, but then again it’s much less expensive.

[UPDATE]: sad to see some business owners are trapped in a small village mindset. Starting this year,Membership numbers increased beyond reasonable and now it takes about 20 minutes of waiting time to use any equipment. With the large numbers came the lower standards as staff couldn’t keep up with cleaning etc.
rather than using the opportunity of booming in SLC to turn this gym into a 5 star exclusive, it started to feel like planet fitness on steroids ( with extra charge of course).

Old review:
Overall well equipped and maintained. Friendly staff who provide help with a smile when needed. That being said, the gym could benefit from additional cleaning of shower areas and organizing the machines to remove the ones no one uses and only taking space

Once my gym membership at Metro Fitness was voided due to closure, The Gym at City Creek took on my membership and made me feel welcome.

What this gym may lack.. in ease of elevator use and separated basketball/racquetball courts in a different building, it EXCELS in LOTS of equipment, clean facility and a staff that really cares about the members. I've noticed past reviews about poorly maintained equipment, but with CLAIRE on the job, things are so clean. She works hard, taking pride and ownership in how how these machines look along with so many other things. Great hire!

The other day, I was welcomed as I walked out of the elevator by DILLAN, "On behalf of Cathy and the entire Staff, Happy Birthday!". WOW! It made my birthday. TIM is always so friendly and helpful, when members lock themselves out of lockers or forget a combination... and always has a smile .. even when the Bucs lose. The Front Desk Manager is on top of it! JUSTIN in sales does so many little things behind the scenes and ROGER is top notch maintenance.

Cathy has done a tremendous job bringing things up to speed where needed. She took a chance at making the Metro Fitness Members feel at home and it's paid off.

Thanks for helping me become healthier and happier. At The Gym at City Creek, I'm not just a number.

Pros: No VASA bros 😁... at least I haven't encountered any.
Fairly clean gym.
Most of the employees are pleasant and helpful.
The swimming pool is surprisingly warm and the hot tub is nice.

Cons: the basketball court is in a completely separate building, that you must be escorted to in order to enter.
Closed on Sundays.
The elevator situation (accessing the gym itself) is a headache, especially during peak hours.
Guests are charged $20, which counts towards their membership, for a first time visit.

For the cost it's a total rip off! The management has really hurt the gym. Used to be really good now they don't trust in tech at all (have to manually enter the bar code), write signs all over on notebook paper, don't actually fix anything that break (showers have been broken for months) and keep the gym dirty on a daily.

I started coming here about 3 years ago when “fitness” was a trend. I was looking for something different than the rest and something that would work. I was immediately paired with their head trainer adrienne and my “gym” experience has changed me since then. Adrienne specifically has given me the results I already dreamed about and This gym provides so much more than good equipment. Their staff is modern and knows what they’re doing and their facility is beautiful. If you are disappointed with your workout routine, you need to try the gym. But I would sign up for Adrienne if you’re looking for the best!

I love the gym! I feel like this is the first gym I’ve been to that isn’t packed, and I actually have space to workout. The staff is so friendly and always willing to help. Adrienne is my trainer and has helped me with a knee injury. I felt like I wasn’t able to even workout with it, but she’s helped me find alternatives to stay active. She’s been amazing, and so fun to work with. The gym is very well kept and I appreciate the quick to fix equipment or whatever it may be. LOVE IT!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!
- Dirty Gym
- Filthy Steam Room (smells like sewage all the time)
- Unmaintained equipment, broken machines and free weights
- Elevators to gym are constantly out of order, requiring you to walk
from one end of the mall to the other just to get to the gym
- Unprofessional and unethical General Manager (Cathy)
- Not worth the price

I have been a member of this gym for nearly two years. The Gym has been on a steady downward spiral ever since I joined. I have not once been overly impressed with any aspect of this facility. The equipment is always in disrepair. Free weights and machines are damaged from wear and tear and never maintained or replaced. The steam room is gross and smells of sewage. Many of the lockers are broken and jam when trying to open them or lock them. Sanitation stations are often empty of wipes and there is no way to sanitize equipment before or after use.

The biggest problem is the management. More specifically, the general manager, Cathy. Cathy canceled my membership after my husband made and honest and thorough review of THE GYM online. Cathy called my husband and said that she could not have negative reviews online, and for that reason she was canceling the membership.

After some research into other reviews of THE GYM, this reaction to negative reviews from CUSTOMERS appears to be a normal practice. It seems that Cathy has terminated the memberships of others who have left truthful reviews of her business.

I understand that the past two years have been difficult for business, especially gyms. However, I believe that it is completely unacceptable to treat paying customers the way that it seems many here have been treated.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSNIESS TO ANYONE AND CAUTION ANYONE WHO JOINS. THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS AVAILIBLE THAT ARE LESS EXPENSIVE AND WILL PROVIDE A BETTER EXPERINCE.

★ 1

Update: because of this review the manager Cathy called me and cancelled my membership "because it is a small business and she can't have reviews like that" so rather than improve their services she just cancels people that call them out on what needs improvements. I know several others that she has done this too after they have left similar reviews.

Likely canceling and going to a different gym. This location costs quite a bit for what they have to offer. The men's showers have missing ceiling tiles that would allow someone from up above to see into the showers. The steam room and saunas are filthy, smell foul, and have visible reside dripping from the walls. Faucets are often out of order and drinking fountains are missing buttons and will stay running if you don't smack them. Lockers often fail and you have to ask someone to go to the front desk for you.

Equipment is constantly broken and missing padding. Cardio equipment is the worst and I often have to change machines several times before finding one that works.

Trainers are incredibly inconsiderate and will take space and equipment from customers not training with them. One female trainer uses the preacher bicep curl machine as a coat rack while she trains in other parts of the gym.

The tipping point for me was when I asked for two towels because I don't want to sit in the nasty sauna and use the same towel to use after I shower off. They wanted to charge $10 for the additional towel. After paying over $100 a month for a membership I feel an additional towel should not be a big deal. When I asked the manager about it she was willing to lose two members rather than just give me an extra towel.

Hoping things start getting repaired and cleaned otherwise it's worth the 5 extra minutes for me to drive to Lifetime Fitness

This Gym makes cancelling nearly impossible.
For the good half of February and all of March I’ve been over the phone with the employees here at The Gym at City Creek trying to cancel my membership. One such employee told me they had cancelled and stopped automatic payment then I get a call from Paramount saying I’m overdue for my payment and have multiple late fees.
Then the next few weeks I am on and off the phone trying to cancel and waive these fees but only told without understanding or sympathy that’s it’s just “policy”.
Save your money and time and go to Planet Fitness or Vasa, way better service, more affordable and cancellation isn’t nearly as impossible as The Gym at City Creek makes it. Spent nearly $300 dollars only to be treated less than a valued client. Seriously hated this experience.

If you want to pay a lot of money for equipment that is run down then this is the place! Machines were falling apart and the benches were in terrible condition.
I may also add that my husband expressed that he was feeling a bit uncomfortable with the way men were acting in the locker room. He spoke to someone about it and they made a joke about it. So so unprofessional and highly priced for nothing. I wouldn’t recommend getting a gym membership here.

This location charged me almost $1000 after I cancelled my membership!!!

Last year, I went to the gym, filled out my form and cancelled my membership. But when I checked my credit history last month, they have been charging my credit card for 1 year for $74, monthly! I reached out them almost 2 months ago by email and phone call, but their manager Abigail was never in the gym!!!! I called them over and over again, but still no response. And over email, their manager is very mean and refuses to refund my money because she was “never able to find a copy of a cancellation form.” So basically they lost the cancellation form their own employee filled out, and are charging ME for it! This gym is charging me 74 dollars a month, and still using a paper system for cancellations, that they lose and refuse a refund for?!

I'm not even talking about how the machines are always broken and old, and elevator is always broken, too. Vasa gym is much better, and you can cancel online, and they've never charged me when they weren't supposed to.

This gym’s manager has no business ethics. This is the ugly truth.

I have had a pass to The Gym for 2 years now. Though the staff rotates frequently, their best staff members have been there the whole time and seem to be the "core" employees. Everyone has always been friendly and helpful. I love this gym because it has a great location, good facilities, and is not overcrowded. The only negative is that the times the pool is accessible are split with The Regent residents, but most of the time that is not an issue at all. Upscale and in the heart of downtown, The Gym blows Vasa out of the water.

I agree with some of the lower star reviews on here, and I wish that I didn't. For what you pay in sign up fees and monthly dues, you'd expect to see functioning equipment and lockers, a clean facility, and really stellar classes.
The caliber and variety of their classes has really diminshed over the years. I remember days where people would be lined up outside classrooms for 30+ minutes just to ensure they had a spot in the class. Now, it feels like the classes are a bit of an afterthought and not as fun as they used to be.
Even with a discounted rate that I get through my job, I really don't think it's THAT worth it to be a member there anymore. Maybe 5 years ago....but not so much now.
While I haven't been a member since 2015, I have utilized day passes to train with friends, and not much has improved.

I'm editing a review I posted earlier where I couldn't reach anyone at the gym by phone and gave a 2 star rating. I also had another issue just trying to get a locker. I'm jumping my rating to 4 stars because I just had an employee at the gym who stepped up and did an awesome job of helping with everything to get me situated. I have a very hectic schedule, so those small things really matter as I have zero time to juggle them. Just one person like that, can make a big difference in a business, and earns mine. The Gym has been great. But there are a few staff that really make the experience top notch. One employee in particular, Ryan, definitely makes this true. He is always cheerful, confident, positive and helpful. He's a pleasant face and personality to encounter at any juncture of your Gym visit.

The Gym is great - a little crowded during certain hours and treadmills are a bit finicky but the amenities are awesome and the location is perfect. I've been a gym member there for fours year now because they have everything I need in a perfect downtown location. The staff is also great - Ryan is a stand up guy, always checking us in and getting our towels ready before we even reach the front desk. Everyone is helpful and friendly but Ryan really stands above the crowd.

I’ve been a member of the gym for over two years and have been using Adrienne Jones as my personal trainer for over a year. I enjoy the group fitness classes offered during the day and evening. I’ve loved my time training with Adrienne. She has helped me make so much progress, she is committed to the success of her clients and is helpful in every way possible. I only wish I had the time to spend every day training with her!

I just want to say how great it has been to work with Adrienne Jones as my personal trainer. She is exceptional at tailoring each workout to the person she trains. Plus, her classes are challenging, yet consistent with her training style. She gives options for people's abilities, so they enjoy coming to her class. Love her! Thanks!

The Gym is great, love using their pool, it's always clean and well maintained. The amenities and lifting equipment have always been in fine condition. Staff are all great, Ryan is a standout among them, super nice and helpful every day I check in at the front desk. Only downside is the music, they must have the same 20 songs looped 24/7, bring your headphones!

The gym has a lot of great things going for it. Love the sauna, hot tub, and pool. I'd like to use the courts more but don't as of now. Variety including rowers and CrossFit equipment are fun too. Not overcrowded but due to the emphasis on cardio machines that are never full things like bench press stations and cable machines can get clogged. A lot of the staff is great! People like Ryan that know your name, have you checked in before you're out of the elevator, and towel ready to go create a great environment. Honestly gotta say the music needs some updating though. Same genre and same songs all the time get real old..

I can’t believe there aren’t any reviews about how hot this gym is!!!!! I would rather run outside in July then run in the gym . I am also lost in their system so I have to explain that they won’t be able to find me every time I go in to workout . This is becoming so frustrating !! Great, uncrowded spot for working out during the lunch hour. Vast selection of machines, free weights, classes, ect. to help you find the best fitness strategy for you. Loving the racquetball courts at the moment. Though this is the case, you'll have to weigh out your options as this place is a bit spendy. As my work covers most of the membership cost it's a no-brainer, but full paying customers might be put off by some of the broken equipment (or not working hot water heater this week).

The women's locker room is never clean. I complained when I first joined, thinking it was a fluke but I've now seen that the employees really don't care to take care of the facilities. It's really too bad because the location is ideal for those who work at city creek. The staff turnover is extremely high, so it feels like no one cares to do a good job.

**UPDATE**

Took a year off my membership, came back to see if anything had changed. The GOOD NEWS: The ladies locker room genuinely does seem cleaner, at least for the two weeks I’ve been back. THE BAD NEWS: No hot water for the last two days. I’ll let ya’ll know when it’s finally fixed haha.

If you are looking for a GYM downtown this is it! I have been to the other gyms in SLC and this is the best of all. So clean and with great equipment. The GYM is conveniently located and easy to pop in an out.

I like the Gym, and when people ask where I workout during lunch I say....the Gym. The staff are friendly, and happy to help where they can. I like the lockers and no need to bring you own lock. There are several rooms for classes and there is always an open treadmill or stationary bike. My employer subsidizes the membership so I feel like the price is totally worth it. Also the adjacent building with racquetball courts seals the deal.

In town from Austin for Christmas week and stopped by The Gym for a workout. Nice place, friendly staff, clean environment and considerable amount of free weights and Freemotion/Hammer Strength-type equipment. I've been with Golds for 13 years but, if I lived in SLC, as there are zero Golds in the SLC/downtown area, The Gym would be my home gym. Keep up the good work!

Reading some of these negative reviews here, I didn't see evidence of any of these compliants, and I'm quite discerning.

I’ve been to a lot of gym and this one has been my favorite. It may be more expensive than other gyms but you truly get what you pay for here. Pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, racket ball courts, punching bags and a basketball court. And that doesn’t even begin to name all the awesome features this gym includes. Perfect location to run errands after the gym or get a bite to eat. I’ve heard some guest say that management doesn’t fix things in the fastest time frame, but I don’t ever see things broken at The Gym. Also even during peak hours it’s never packed full of people ( love that! ) parking is free for the first 2 hours. I’ve gone over before but you only have to pay $2 for each additional hour. Unless you go shopping and get a validation for your car. All in all I think this is the best gym in the SLC valley.

Bathrooms look like a $15 membership gym, their soap is the cheapest you will ever use in your life. It looks like they try to cut down the price on everything, forget about the foamy soap from 2 years ago.
It is very embarrassing to see that this gym charges so much and offers so little, did I mentioned about the disposable toilet seat covers? Non existing toilet seat covers.

I have been an on-again/off-again member of The Gym at City Creek for a few years now. Probably more off than on but that has never been due to the facilities, employees, or management.

This gym is the perfect balance between Planet Fitness and a dedicated strength training facility. There are plenty of cardio and weight machines and a very large selection of free weights and benches. I do wish that there were a few more cages and benches for high-traffic times but I think that it speaks highly of the quality of the gym that it remains packed in the early evenings. There are other, more affordable options out there, after all.

Some of the negative reviews on Google and Yelp shed light on some areas for improvement that I feel management, particularly Cathy Waters, are directly tackling. Equipment was, in the past, frequently in disrepair but the repair/replace cycle has steadily improved and, if anything, is a minor inconvenience. The front-desk staff have always been incredibly friendly and warm, though I do wish they spent more time in the evenings keeping the plates organized.

However, I do think that the biggest opportunity that they have is to modernize their billing process so that they are less reliant on paper copies when you first sign-up. This issue may have already been resolved, but I hope that the security risks of writing down financial information to be entered into the system later are acknowledged and remedied.

What an expensive disappointment! I knew I was paying for location when I changed gym's to be closer to work. I pay three times as much for a membership at The Gym, and I was willing to pay the difference for convenience. So far it's been nothing but frustration and attitude. The management needs to take a class on customer service and people skills. Don't stand behind the front desk if you don't want patrons to look to you for assistance. The equipment is in need of a serious upgrade. Why they have so many cardio machines that no one uses and only a few of the ones that people actually use must have been a negotiation with the vendor and not for the people actually paying the bills. I've had the unfortunate experience of calling the front desk twice for information twice now... the staff is confused, unorganized, not trained and needs instruction on how to answer the phone and how to route calls. If you have to leave a message for the manager, don't expect a call back.
This facility could be amazing, if it got an overhaul starting with management.

I really can't say enough about The Gym. Other than I found the name weirdly ambiguous when they first came onto the scene, I haven't been able to find many, if any complaints. Aside from accidentally locking myself out of my locker after showering (and I will complain that there isn't a direct phone line from the locker rooms to the front desk, for the random stranded naked dude...) I don't have any complaints.

The facility is top-notch. The equipment is superb. I'm a big fan of the classes (particularly Cycle) and they have all that I need and more. But, checking the box on the facility and equipment is really just the price of admission. Where a place with the audacity to own the moniker of "THE GYM" really shines, is with the people. Their customer service is amazing. Beyond reproach really. So friendly from the moment you walk out of the elevator, through the classes, and eventually to the point that you lock yourself out of your locker, they're just a great bunch of people. If you're like me, being greeted with that smile and warm service is sometimes the difference maker on all of those not-so-motivated days.

Quick shout out to my personal trainer. (And yes, this is the first time in my life that I’ve had a personal trainer. Not just because I’m in dire need of the training and assistance, but also because I’ve felt confident enough in the people here, that I was confident in the investment.) The whole training team is legit. Seriously. And, my guy, Gabe Juarez, is the top of the heap. Seriously knows his stuff and maintains the balance between professional skillset and knowledge enough to kick me in the ass when I need it, but also chill enough that he treats me not just as a client, but someone he’s genuinely interested in seeing make improvements. In short, he invests in me at least as much as I invest in myself. The whole “The Gym” team does.

It's unfortunate you cannot leave a zero star review. I have never encountered such incompetence at an establishment.. probably ever. Not even the DMV. The staff is completely incompetent. In every way imaginable. I could spend all day breaking out every single visit and how you are never greeting (you exit the elevator as the entrance DIRECTLY in front of the front desk). The staff doesn't even know how to work their computer systems and with the lack of total knowledge I am even wondering IF they have a "system". Simple requests, like a receipt or a statement is an impossibility. Literally. Which they say they have no way of providing basic RECEIPTS! If you reach out needing anything, update your payment details, make changes to your membership.. expect the most difficult process ever and that is after you finally get a response. It has taken me over a month going back and forth with a request my 6 year old niece could handle in 10 minutes. Over a month and I still have no resolve..

The Gym itself is overpriced and the hours around holidays (I'm not talking Christmas or Thanksgiving) I'm talking everything including Valentines Day they close for or close insanely early. And naturally, they are closed on Sunday.

I will be taking my $100+/month elsewhere.

I can't WAIT until someone opens another gym downtown to compete with this junk show!

Pros:
* This place has every peice of equipment you could think of
* Never too crowded
* Never had to wait on equipment
* Never had to deal with gym horrors like someone doing curls in the squat rack; people who are here are here to train
* Spa, sauna, and swimming all good
* Wonderful yoga sessions

Cons:
* If you need a "personal touch" to your gym, this isn't the place for you; there are great classes, but if you need a PT go to 24hour or any UT Cross-snap
* 69$/mo., 100$ sign up (keeps out the crowds lol)

The class instructors are great, but management is incompetent. Less than half the machines work, there's no a/c in the heat of summer, the hot tubs and steam rooms are often broken, the ceiling's caved in twice. This Gym is great! Dont listen to the bitter reviews. The service is great! No cancelation fees ( you just have to let them know a month IN ADVANCE if you need to cancel). You get a free Fitness assessment { mini personal training session} upon sign up. The classes are great. It's WAY less crowded than all the crappy cheap gyms and they keep the facility VERY clean. They also have an in house hair salon, physical therapy office, and smoothie, shake and snack stand (great for pre and post workouts). Their trainers are all trained professionals and your workout/ diet plan can be way more personalized than VASA, Plant Fitness, or any other gyms. They great to work with schedule wise and give you the most for you money. They provide towles for the shower and pool. They also have good digital pin number locks so you dont even have to bring a lock and its alot more difficult for anyone to even attempt to steal your stuff. The equipment is all pretty great and they have stuff that Planet Fitness and 24 hr Fitness don't. Some of the Machines could use a little TLC ( I can only think of 2) I just wish the pool was open the same hours as the gym.

I have not had a worse customer experience in 10+ years. I've had a membership with The Gym for nearly 2 years but canceling has proved nearly impossible. I've had to go down in person now 3 times to take care of it - the first time because they told me I had to sign paperwork in person, the second time over a month later because they were still showing me active so Paramount Acceptance pulled out another monthly payment (which they wouldn't reverse despite my having canceled over a month prior) and the third because it happened yet again and now their phones don't even work. One line is completely garbled (if you do happen to get through) so you can't understand each other and the second number never gets answered and goes to a full voice mailbox so you can't leave a message. Unbelievable - I don't have time to deal with this much incompetence and poor management.
