The Moxy Movement radiates excellence. The owner and all instructors are both deeply experienced and intuitive. The community is warm, respectful, and uplifting. Everyone genuinely supports one another’s growth. This is a rooted space with original charm and is always clean. Both studios are filled with natural light and real hardwood floors. The pole and dance studio even has full blackout curtains and special lighting to match the mood of each class.
Being a part of this environment has been so helpful for my creativity, flexibility and well-being and even pushed me to participate in quarterly shows that are also top notch and held at a professional theater.
Trying something new can be intimidating, especially with unfamiliar apparatus, but know you’ll be welcomed with open arms and guided with care as you grow and become a part of the community. This isn’t your average strip mall studio; the owner has poured her heart and soul into creating a truly sacred space, and you can feel the magical energy the moment you step through the doors.

I used to love going to Moxy and the space was incredible. Unfortunately a few months ago the studio started to cut classes and eventually terminated the best aerial coach I have ever come across. The studio then started to hire coaches that have questionable experience and may not have the appropriate licensing to teach students. As a student of the art this is incredibly concerning. I will not be returning to this studio and it is unfortunate to see it take this kind of turn. If you choose to go here, I warn you that you will need to pay to be in any student showcase that you want to dance in and you will also need to pay an additional fee to get out of any month to month contract you have signed up for.

I’m new to this studio and love it already 🧡 they make you feel so comfortable and immediately welcomed. I haven’t danced in YEARS and my instructor started at a great pace to ease back in while offering some areas for practice. Book with these guys- you won’t be disappointed!

This studio has been life changing for me. The instructors care so much about your growth, and it was such a safe place to take me from a nervous person with zero body awareness to seeing the beauty in the way i can move my body in so many beautiful ways. I love the crew here and especially Alysha's classes in chair. The flexibility and pole classes have been amazing as well, and im excited to try some of the dance classes soon. So fun and rewarding every time i show up.... and no matter my day, I always walk away so much happier.

10/10 would recommend!
Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Having never done anything like this before, I was terrified to start but I'm glad I chose Moxy! I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of support from the instructors and never felt any judgement or pushed to do anything I didn't feel comfortable or safe with.
I especially love the relaxed and fun vibe from Alysha's classes. They are the highlight of my week!

Moxy is a welcoming and inspiring studio. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and create an encouraging environment where everyone feels comfortable no matter where they are at. The variety of classes keeps things fun and challenging. The energy in the space makes it easy to push yourself while at the same time staying safe and supported. I’ve learned so much here. Regardless of where you are from brand new to experienced Moxy will be a place you can be safe to grow. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a place that blends creativity, professionalism and community in the best way possible.

Moxy used to provide such a wide variety of aerial/pole/dance classes but recently cut a bunch of classes, and then got rid of nearly all the advanced aerial classes taught by an incredibly talented coach. I used to love attending classes at moxy, but my opportunities to grow as an aerialist were taken away so I immediately cancelled my membership. Another warning: unlike many other aerial studios, you have to pay to perform in showcases AND there is a cancellation fee to stop your membership from renewing.

I've trained in studios across the US and have never encountered a studio more welcoming, more professional, and more inclusive than this one. The space itself is absolutely gorgeous, brightly lit with vaulted ceilings and ample space between apparatuses. The teachers are extremely friendly, approachable and engaging. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to classes as both performers and instructors. All of the teachers I've worked with are certified, which makes me feel extra safe. They give plenty of mods so if you're a beginner or more advanced, you feel appropriately challenged. The space is always impeccably clean when I arrive, which I appreciate especially for floor moves. There's a supportive and welcoming vibe – not the competitive and cliquey vibe you might find elsewhere. Truly, this place is nothing short of a sanctuary that has revitalized my passion for aerial after having some less than stellar experiences at other studios. Everyone goes above and beyond. The energy is so positive and elevated that it's infectious! I see myself training here for years to come.

We attended an event at this beautiful studio, located inside a charming early 1900s schoolhouse. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and we were very impressed by the performers' talent and the show's professional quality. I highly recommend checking out their upcoming events.

The place is hard to find specially if you don’t know it is held inside a big building, in 2 separate rooms and floors. They don’t have a front desk or person to guide you so it can get tricky.

I was hoping to attend an OPEN AERIAL, but didn't realized that depending on the room number it is either aerial or pole (I think it would be friendlier to first time users if they were named "OPEN POLE" and "OPEN AERIAL") since this was my first time here, I needed some assistance, (finding the room, opening it, etc) the lady that helped me wasn't really welcoming or anything, I told her I don't do pole and she told me she couldn't do anything about it (which I understand since I've been an aerial coach myself for the last 10+years in different countries and in the US) but her attitude wasn't welcoming or empathetic. I called on the phone and a lady named Alicia, answered me and offered me to change my day of training as a solution, I couldn't since I was traveling out of Utah the next day, I ended up taking a beginner hammock class.

I also received a text from another lady named Angela trying to help me out, which was really nice.

I would just point out the importance of having friendly staff specially when there is no front desk to help out folks that are attending that space for the first time.

As a professional circus artist I'm always excited to go to new places, check out their spaces and build new connections.
Unfortunately I didn't feel welcomed in this space, maybe it is targeted to a more beginner audience.

Nonetheless, the class was holding a good technical level for beginner people.

I’m absolutely living for the studio’s flexibility classes with Ashley. I had the deepest shoulder stretch of my life last Friday with Ashley at Pole Active Flexibility. I unfortunately locked myself out of my house on the way home from that class. I was, however, able to use my newfound shoulder flexibility to squeeze BOTH OF MY SHOULDERS through the tiny dog door to unlock my back door. Seriously, look how tiny it is in the attached picture. Barely bigger than my hand. Thanks for the amazing flex classes that helped me break into my own house in a pinch! 😂 I’ve made so much flexibility progress in other areas as well, including achieving a front and pancake split. And, although I am a very fresh beginner at silks the flexibility has carried over beautifully, and pictured is the result of my third silks class with Ashley.

I came to Moxy when I was looking for a new pole dance studio and a friend recommended it. I was not sure because of the price point but I decided to give it a chance. I fell in love immediately during my first class. Angela is one of the most professional, experienced and kindest instructors I have met. There are not enough amazing things I can say about this studio. The instructors are so kind and dedicated to making you feel empowered and excited about all types of movement. The classes are incredibly inviting- there is a no judgement zone and you are highly encouraged to learn at your own pace- mistakes are celebrated. The memberships are so worth it and ensure that instructors receive a living wage for the classes they are so passionate about. I truly feel excited each time I go to a class. I called to book a last minute bachelorette chair dancing private session. They were very accommodating us last minute. The studio was easy to find with lots of parking. The session itself was fun and we were laughing and left with a few extra dance moves and a fun dance routine! We were all different levels of fitness and none of us had any dance experience but it was very doable and fun! Also once I booked and paid the first fee, everyone else paid at the door, which was super great so we didn’t overpay or feel like we needed to invite more people. I would definitely recommend this studio to everyone!

I love it here (sadly I was only visiting…seriously I’m devastated that this isn’t my studio). The energy from everyone is so positive, and I’m obsessed with Ashley (in a non creepy way). I took a couple of private Lyra lessons and she blew my mind with how well she instructs — it’s less of a let me show you, and more queuing specific contact points/how your body should be engaging which unlocked so much for me in TWO private lessons. Thanks for having me Moxy!! I hope I can squeeze in 1-2 more classes before I leave next week.

The class we took was supposed to be a beginners class. The sub instructor was very nice but stated she was not a pole dance teacher and after hearing that others in the class had been going there for a while she taught for a more advanced group. It was very hard to follow. She jumped quickly from one hard move to the next. This was my second class, the first one was great and really set the bar, it was awesome putting the moves together into a routine and everyone bragged about how much they loved it, it was for my bachelorette party. I wish the second class was taught for beginners too so I could have enjoyed it more.

We had fun in the class overall last night but were disappointed that we paid for a class that would be about pole dancing and lap dancing, and we only learned one move on the poles. The poles were locked so they could not spin. This should not have been advertised as a pole class. We would have gone elsewhere had we known what we were getting. We could still enjoy ourselves but left feeling unsatisfied with what we got out of the class, as we were expecting to learn way more pole dancing. This is not what other pole dancing classes are like, if you have been to others nearby. Not sure why our instructor Susie left pole dancing out.. reading other reviews it seems like other people had better experiences.

The first time I took a class from this studio, I was so confused as to where the class was being held because the sign is not too big and the building is unmarked. Moxy Movement is held in, what I believe, is an old school building. It is a big tan/brown square-like building right next to the four-way stop. There is available parking in the front and on the side of the building. So, do not fret! It exists, it just is not very noticeable.

I think the only way inside the building is through the main staircase at the front of the building. Once you walk in, there is a Moxy studio available to the left that has more of the dance and spin classes. If you're looking for the pole studio, it is just one more flight of stairs up, and that Moxy studio is to your left as well.

My most favorite part about Moxy Movement is the instructor. Let me tell you, I have gone to all different pole studios looking for a main studio and this studio is my all time favorite and I think it is because of the instructor, Angela! She is a very knowledgeable pole instructor that knows how to teach a class. She makes sure to focus on each and every person for every move that she teaches and critiques and gives tips on how to make the move easier or less painful for you. She is literally the nicest and cutest person.

The one thing I absolutely dislike about this studio is that it is so far away from me! It makes me sad. The commute to the studio can range from 30 - 45 minutes because of traffic and the time my class is usually at. I ended up coming in late for most of my classes and I feel so bad about that, she was still nice and polite to me, so I thank her for tolerating my annoying behavior.

Overall, I would love to make this my main pole studio if I did not live so far away from this place. I think this is the best pole place in Utah and it is because of the instructor!

I have been to a few pole studios and this one is definitely my favorite. I am always excited for a class and it doesn't matter what level your at. I don't go places by myself because of my anxiety but they make you so comfortable that I can come here alone without issue.

I've really formed a connection with Moxy Movement.
I mainly attend the pole classes, but have indulged in the other classes they offer - there is a huge variety!
The instructors are smart, kind and personable. I honestly take away so much from each of my classes.
I'm very thankful to have a space to express myself and improve my technical skills.

The space is beautiful and inspiring. The instructors are deliberate with managing class time. For each class I have intended, class time isn’t wasted with the instructor chatting or deciding what they want to do. Well prepared instructors! Great studio culture. Instructors create the expectation that students are there to support each other and be a part of your journey - not be competition. Diverse instructors and students. A lot of fun! Studio culture also promotes doing what feels good to your body rather than prescribing what is commercially “desirable”. Yoga classes offer a lot more than just what you can find on youtube. To summarize these are the priorities I’ve seen set by the owner and instructors:

-Safety
-Preparation
-Student Empowerment
-Individuality
-Fun

If you’re looking for new ways to express yourself, be stronger, have fun, and start celebrating your own and others’ successes rather than comparing yourself to others in a safe, beautiful, and professional environment - try it. First class is free. I can see they genuinely want fun and exploration accessible to everyone.

This is honestly one of the best pole studios I have been to in the 3 years I have been poling. The instructors are all very talented and helpful. They really take the time to give individual feedback that is helpful and specific. I would highly recommend this studio.

I adore this space with all my heart! I love that every time I walk into the room I am immediately greeted with love and smiles! Each instructor has something unique and special to offer.

I have been with Moxy since the beginning (2016) and my fiance joined me in 2017 and the space gets better and better every year! I started teaching at this studio towards the beginning of 2017 as well and I have enjoyed being both a student and instructor in this wonderful space! The Moxy Movement has changed my life.

I am a new member here and absolutely in love! The instructors are fabulous and I feel 100% comfortable, even as an awkward and inexperienced newbie! It’s been almost a week and going and trying again is all I can think about! This has been a trying year, but being at Moxy Movement makes me feel totally at home and happy! P.s. it’s in the CUTEST refurbished 1920’s old school. The charm is on point!

I love Moxy!!! The instructors are kind and knowledgable, and the space is beautiful and inviting. The teachers follow a lesson plan but provide variations so that everyone can participate in every step. They push everyone to succeed but offer assistance when needed. The feeling of acceptance and inclusiveness is off the charts!

I just love Moxy Movement. At 52 years old, I started pole back in March and I was a little terrified. After the first class, I was completely hooked. The studio is in a lovely setting in a charming, historic space. Every instructor is exceptional, caring, and tailors classes to the individual participants - which takes so much skill because classes consist of students of all different ages, fitness levels, and experience on the pole and lyra. One of the best things about Moxy Movement is the beautiful, genuine sense of community. It starts with caring, sincere owners that foster a sense of community and want the best for each student, and ever person there encourages everyone. There really is so much magic at The Moxy

This studio is an excellent place to try (and fall in love with, inevitably) a variety of aerial arts, yoga, and dance classes. I've been going to classes here for nearly a year, because the atmosphere and the instructors are unbeatable. There is an instructor available for nearly every style of class you are looking for, from challenging muscle building to artistic expression work, and they are some of the best in the business. Moxy Movement makes it easy to try classes - currently your first class is free! - and the whole vibe is very focused on personal success for students, which I love because I am not especially athletic or competitive. But if you want to apply yourself at a more challenging pace, the instructors here can certainly oblige! ;) The studio itself is uniquely gorgeous, with wood floors and lots of natural light from the windows where you can see the mountains towering on the horizon. It's a great spot for so many reasons. I recommend it to everyone, especially people who want to see what all these sports are about in a friendly place!
