This studio is run by good people who cultivate a culture of kindness; showing through example that dance is a tool for joy and that each of their students is worth celebrating.

This place is so sketchy with their finances. They continued to enroll my daughter when I talked to the front desk our last class and β€œpulled her out” well they kept charging my card for months after and never once notified me or thought it strange my daughter was absent for over four months. They doubled down on their thievery because they sent an email saying we will not give refunds for backpayed classes. Well that sucked for me I guess because when I came asking for my money back from classes I took my daughter out of they refused to refund me any of my money. Beware beware

We’ve been with The School of Dance for almost two years now. My now 4 year old has been thriving! She is always welcomed and seen. Her confidence and comfort has grown so much since the beginning.
We have loved her very personable, kind, warm, and loving teachers. Her first Recital (in Spring 2023) was wonderful!
As a parent, I have loved the journey as well. I’ve made friends with staff and fellow parents. The atmosphere and studio space is very warm and inviting too. Clean and updated environment. Very efficient communication with parents and clear updates of happenings and events going on at the studio as well!

We are so grateful for The School of Dance! Not only to they provide excellent dance instruction, they have created a community where we feel safe and valued. My son is immunocompromised, which unfortunately precludes him from participating in many extracurricular activities. Courtney and Kylie care so deeply for all their students and their willingness to help mitigate health issues for my son touches a deep part of my heart. We can't thank them enough. The instructors are wonderful and my kids genuinely love going to dance class. This is a magical gem of a place!

My child has been taking classes for the last seven years (maybe more!). All of the teachers are exceptional. I love that the focus is not on competition, they just want everyone to do his or her best and work on improving personally.

Their motto is "You Belong Here" & they certainly follow through on that promise. Chacho is a fantastic breakdancing instructor, but not just in dance--he teaches life lessons that will make my son a better person. During the concerns & constraints of COVID, SOD put together a fantastic video Spring Concert. Thanks, SOD!

The School of Dance is like no other dance studio in Salt Lake City. My daughter began tiny toes at 3 and is still dancing 7 years later. The owners are the best, dancing is taught but so many other great things have come out of her classes such as life skills, manners, and friendships. There is only performing not competing. My daughter loves to dance. I believe the SOD environment has fostered such positive vibes for her and the other students about the power of dance. The class sizes are great, the facility is nice and the teachers are extraordinary. Do yourself and your child a favor and check out the SOD! You will not regret it.

The School of Dance is amazing! I am consistently impressed with how they take a personal interest in every single student. I also LOVE their consistent attention to making sure every student feels welcome and a part of the community. When they say "you belong here" they mean it. I cannot say enough good about this place. Not only are my kids learning great skills and having a blast moving their bodies, but the School of Dance also contributes to them becoming better humans. Thank you!

My daughter and I love the philosophy and experience of this dance studio. We've been to other studios where they require tons of commitment and cash and turn dance into a chore. This place is fun! You can tell the teachers and staff LOVE what they do, and that spreads to the dancers.

I have been dancing at The School of Dance for many (4? 5?) years, and each one has been fantastic. I am constantly getting pushed further and further and it feels great. I can really look back and see myself improve.

This place is so much more than a dance school for my daughter. There is something very special about a studio where you learn to dance for the love of dancing, rather than competition. It's been a safe haven for my daughter for many years, who feels completely accepted and loved by the entire staff. Over the years my daughter has grown in skill, confidence, and passion for dance and movement. I'm grateful we lucked out and found The School of Dance!

The School of Dance is one of the most inclusive Dane studios in the area. The teachers are kind, smart, professional and skilled. The sense of community is incredibly strong and the learning and opportunities for growth are outstanding. I recommend them for dancers of all ages.

This school is AMAZING. The people and opportunities are incredible! The teachers are all fun and goofy, and you get the benefits if both having strict teachers and laid back ones. The students are best friends and The School of Dance really is your home and family. No matter who you are you’re accepted, and you learn so much! In just a year and a half I was a beginner and made into the company classes. You get to perform in so many places and once you’re advanced enough get to attend new classes and take trips to learn them! If you want to take your kid here, this is the place to be.

We love The School of Dance! Boogie B loves breakdancing with Chacho and has made so many new friends. Chacho has been an amazing instructor and mentor to him. Courtney takes time to get to know every student and their families that walks in her door. We are so grateful that we found this studio!

The School of Dance is the perfect mix of proper dance technique, appropriate child focused pedagogy, and respectful and supportive community. My three children have all danced here and each one's unique needs have been embraced and fostered, including my elementary aged son on the autism spectrum, my highly energetic kindergartener, and my very shy and tenderhearted preschooler. The teachers are excellent and know how to teach skills in fun ways. We especially enjoy the breakdancing program, which is unique and specialized to this school. The School of Dance has also done an excellent job at integrating with and fostering the community of which it is a part. Over the years I have witnessed fundraisers for women's shelters, free tuition for refugee children, donations to school raffles, and a partnership with a local ice cream shop staffed by adults with special needs. There are also fun block and Halloween parties! You won't find exorbitant fees, ultra rigorous schedules, or yelling teachers. You will find excellent dancing, kids with increasing self esteem, and people who truly love dance. I highly recommend The School of Dance!

We have been so happy with our experience at The School of Dance. My daughter looks forward to her classes and adores her teachers. She asks every day if its ballet day. The environment is so warm and welcoming! We will continue here for a long time.

I absolutely LOVE The School of Dance. I am in the company here and it is the most amazing group of girls and teachers. The teachers here are so inclusive and welcoming and I love the environment when I come to dance here. If you are looking for a place to dance I would definitely recommend coming to The School of Dance for any age! I guarantee you will have a great time!

I have taught at several dance studios in and out of Utah. They are all unique but The School of Dance is one of the most comfortable for me as a teacher. I love the recreational and fun feel combined with a strong commitment to still teach good technique. The owner is always thinking of ways to benefit the community and see that all students feel loved. Even though they are a neighborhood studio they are growing and their auditioned performance companies are improving consistently with each year requiring more commitment and hours spent training. It is a fun and creative place to dance where teachers are allowed to bring their own flavor and ideas. The owner supported my desire to teach an Adult Jazz class. I whole heartedly enjoy spending time with the students and teachers at the School of Dance!
