My experience was excellent. Since I am about to give birth, I wanted to learn prenatal yoga to help me prepare for a smoother delivery. All the movements were very professional. I hope to come back and learn postpartum recovery yoga after I give birth

Doing prenatal yoga with Alicia has greatly benefited my pregnancy. Getting movement in regularly while pregnant can be difficult, but going to these classes has given me the motivation I need. I sincerely look forward to going even after a long day at work. Alicia is a joy to have as an instructor. I really feel like she cares about us as individuals. There are also so many other great resources available through Utah Prenatal Yoga, like classes about pelvic floor therapy. Prenatal yoga has been one of the best parts of my pregnancy.

As someone who has never been into yoga, I can confidently say this class with Alicia is one of the best things I've done in my pregnancy.
Alicia creates a very welcoming space and community of fellow expectant moms. Physically, the stretches, breathing exercises, and strength training have all benefitted me in lowering the discomforts/pains of pregnancy. Emotionally, Alicia beautifully balances giving space to the varied feelings you hold within -- frustration, excitement, exhaustion, gratitude, fear. And finally, she gives practical advice on preparing for labor, postpartum recovery, and caring for a newborn. She does all of this with a good dose of humor and being able to laugh along the craziness that is life.
Even if you're someone who can name maybe only 3 yoga poses ... or may not get the "nap" at the end of class (which btw is my favorite part now), give this class a shot. It may just change your mind. :)

This is an exceptional prenatal yoga studio with evidence based supported resources. Alicia is great, she has been doing this for years. As someone new to the area and pregnant for the first time, I felt quite vulnerable trying to find a reliable network to guide me through not only safe prenatal excerises but also to find a reliable and trusted network of people to connect with during pregnancy; and Millcreek Prenatal Yoga had it all. I was able to bond with other expecting mothers, learn more about how to take care of my body during pregnancy and connect with other resources provide in the Salt Lake area for prenatal care. Alicia is more than just a yoga teacher, she provides safe prenatal yoga practices, a safe community for expectant mothers and an abundant amount of resources for expecting mothers. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars!

Alicia is amazing. You leave class feeling capable of dealing with difficult parts of life and ready to accept the good parts. It’s nice to have a yoga class that makes you feel physically and mentally strong while pregnant and feeling like you are truly preparing for birth.

For my second pregnancy, I went to 11 classes during my second and third trimesters and I think the exercises helped me experience less back pain than my first pregnancy! I was a little nervous to try yoga since I had just finished physical therapy for my knees. Alicia always offers alternatives and the environment is very accepting of people making adjustments or resting if they want to. I slowly started participating in more and more of the lunges and squats and my knee pain lessened a lot as my tendons got stronger. I also remembered a lot of the yoga positions, breathing exercises, and mindfulness when I was in labor and they helped me cope with the labor process! I’m excited to now start attending postnatal classes.

This prenatal yoga class has been such a wonderful addition to my pregnancy journey.
At first, I thought the class felt a little too easy, but as my pregnancy progressed, I truly began to appreciate every movement, breath, and moment. The instructor shares stories that deeply resonate —it became such a grounding part of my week.
Each class helped me feel more connected to my body and to my baby. It gave me space to slow down, tune out the noise, and simply enjoy being pregnant. She helped me learn how to release tension, breathe more intentionally, and better understand how to support and engage my pelvic floor—all of which made such a difference in how I experienced pregnancy.
When I was 39 weeks, the group did a circle and it was truly magical. I’m so grateful for this experience.

I have attended dozens of classes with Alicia and can confidently say I can’t imagine a better prenatal yoga experience. Alicia really puts a lot of thought and care into every aspect of the class, including a really valuable theme or focus for the night that she incorporates throughout, the studio environment, the music, and the instruction itself. One of the things I love most about her approach is that it isn’t just about moving your body, it’s about opening up space for reflection, meditation, and real personal growth. Let me be clear that the physical movements and pacing of the class are wonderful, too. Alicia has so much experience and wisdom when it comes to helping women in pregnancy find the poses that will be most beneficial. She is very aware of the challenge of changing bodies and always offers grace, encouragement, and support while working to make sure the practice is effective. As a bonus, it’s helpful to have a place to get to know other people who are pregnant. Simply wonderful studio and instructor!

I love these classes so much! Alicia is an experienced, skilled and compassionate teacher and incorporates so many things into each class that touch on the mental, physical and spiritual aspects of pregnancy. I'm new to the city and having a place to come and gather with like-minded women who are in a similar stage of life that I am has felt really supportive and grounding. It also feels like you're really doing something so kind for yourself and your body when you show up here. Can't recommend it enough!

These classes with Alicia were such a lifesaver for me during pregnancy. Not only was it great physical relief, but she helped with mindfulness and teaching me how to be centered. Learning to breathe was one of the biggest helps through labor. I'm now doing postpartum classes which have been helping relieve a lot of the postpartum pain. She's fun, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. I would recommend starting classes as soon as you can.

I'm really enjoying the prenatal yoga classes at Utah Prenatal Yoga. My first class was at 33 weeks pregnant. The studio space is beautiful and inviting. The instructor, Alicia, is super knowledgeable about pregnancy and has integrated helpful practices in each class that is applicable to pregnancy and labor, such as diaphragmatic breathing, common muscle imbalances in pregnancy, pelvic floor expansion and release. I am really enjoying the community aspect, being surrounded by other pregnant women who have to go the bathroom as much as me. I plan on participating in Alicia's class through labor.

I started taking classes with Alicia last year during my first pregnancy. This class was unlike any i have done before. I felt so connected to my growing baby while also releasing pain and discomfort in my lower back. This class helped me through the scariest stage of my life; i was so sad once i had my baby and could no longer go. I am now pregnant again with my second and will be there for every class haha :) Alicia is the BEST!!! great energy and truly cares about the mothers who attend her class. It is a little community. Definitely a must attend class!!! You wont regret it.

I started taking virtual classes from the Utah Prenatal Yoga Studio when I was 13 wks pregnant...now I’m just over 30 weeks and feeling so strong! I’ve loved the community & the accessibility of the online classes, since I live about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. Alicia and her team of yoga instructors are all so knowledgeable, kind and considerate of my growing belly. They are constantly offering up accommodations, challenges and positions to alleviate lower back pain and tightness in my hips. I take two classes a week and after every class feel incredible! I also love the ability to save some $$$ by buying a 10-class pass and the one time I had problems with a purchase Alicia responses within hours. Lastly, I was thrilled to know that they offer classes and support for after I have my baby, which I will be taking full advantage of. Utah Prenatal Yoga has been a total game changer for me and I HIGHLY recommend it!!!

I've gone to Alicia's yoga classes over several years, especially prenatal and 4th trimester (immediate postpartum) classes. She is incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and creates a wonderful environment in her classes. I attribute healing my abdominal muscles (especially related to diastesis recti) to her guidance, starting from one week postpartum, long before most healthcare providers are ready to see you to start the healing process. I highly recommend her classes to all of my friends who are pregnant and postpartum.

Alicia, our instructor, is so fabulous at what she does. When I became pregnant for the 1st time I started to research the best way to prepare your mind and mody for both pregnancy and delivery. One of the things I kept coming back to was this prenatal yoga class taught by Alicia. As I have done it I have found to be more patient with pregnancy pains, I have learned stretches and poses to help with my pain, and I am just learning about preganacy and birth in general. I love how personal the class is, it helps you learn more and feel comfortable. In addition, Alicia really gets to know you and what you need. I love how I can ask her a question about anything and she has information to give me or a direction to point me in. This is one class I would recommend, and a teacher you need to have.
