Very disappointed that you’ve taken away most of the 9:30 spin classes! The whole reason I joined the gym was for the Spin class. Please as a paying member I am asking you to bring 9:30 spin back Monday through Friday. I was going regularly, when AF cancelled Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I was at least able to go to other gyms that are close by, even though I always preferred AF, now those classes have been completely canceled. Please bring spin back! Sincerely a paying member.

Is Vasa pushing out the fit?
I have been a long time member of Vasa, and have noticed a down trend,
Well attended challenging classes replaced with teachers who come late and lift no more than 15 lbs,
Rumors of well attended pump classes may close, and now
Spin classes canceled!!
What happened to the well-rounded vasa? I became a member of? Where I could go one day to spin classes, another day to step classes, and plenty of pump classes to choose from on several different days. Teachers that are challenging and motivating, members are unhappy and complaining constantly. New classes are getting monotonous and hold little challenge.
We want variety Variety and Challenge. Please keep the 8 AM and 9 AM classes challenging. Please move the easy classes to different time. That are not as well attended. Please give us back the spin classes, the variety is important in our overall health. Please care what your paying members are currently attending and don’t cancel classes that are well attended.

The gym (machines and free weights included) is overall in good condition- and the staff are all very helpful and friendly.
However the bathrooms/locker rooms and tanning bed are in very poor condition. The stand up tanning bed is absolutely disgusting. RARELY gets wiped down- has never been deep cleaned or vacuumed. The dust buildup is atrocious.
The showers are disgusting and barely function the one I was going to try was a drizzle of water. The walls aren’t painted properly in the men’s locker rooms and bathrooms. There is no tissue paper in the whole building so bring your own if you need to blow your nose. One toilet in the men’s bathroom leaks water from under it onto the floor every time it is flushed.

It's 5 stars for the kidcare alone. Took a week for our daughter (1) to get comfortable, but now it's part of the day both kids look forward to, and I'm getting regular exercise for the first time in a while! If you have kids and need a gym, it's solid.

Ethan was wonderful helping me get signed up. I’ve been off and on at this gym for years as I travel for work in the summers. Coming home and getting signed up again was easy, and the facility and equipment is constantly getting better! Recommend to everyone!

I cancelled my membership with VASA because the gym was always overcrowded and there were never enough working machines. Equipment stayed broken for long periods of time, and the staff were misleading when I originally signed up — the experience was nothing like what was promised.
Even after I followed the 30-day cancellation policy exactly and paid what was due, VASA continued to charge my card past my cancellation date. I eventually had to cancel my card just to stop the unauthorized charges.
When I tried to resolve this, instead of taking responsibility, VASA sent my account to Aldous & Associates — a “law firm” that repeatedly harassed me and even called me names (see my review of them). This could have been avoided if VASA had simply complied with their own cancellation policy and communicated properly.
I’ve worked in law, and I can confidently say this is not how a professional company should operate. Be careful when signing up — get everything in writing and keep records, because in my experience, VASA does not follow through or treat customers fairly.

Great gym for people who want to get lied to about what they’re signing up for and then get stuck in a contract where they have to pay big fees to cancel. And then once stuck in that said contract you can’t use amenities or other locations unless you upgrade your plan. Everything has a fee attached. They’ll just take your money after not explaining anything to you and then when you call them they say some bs “you didn’t read the contract”.. Worst experience I’ve had with a gym. How hard is it to get a gym membership where they explain what exactly is included and don’t try to squeeze more money out of you for just wanting to get fit? Just know if you sign up you’re gonna pay 5x what you thought. Lame sales reps, management and policy.

I went for one visit while in town. The gym was awesome. Loved the turf areas and the squat and deadlift area. I got a great workout in. I was ready to pay a day pass and the guy Hunter let me and another friend come in for free. If I lived here, I would have a membership. I like that it has a pool along with the copious amounts of weight machines, free weights, sled pull and more.

Their classes are super good. My husband and I have been there for two months, and I had doubts at first, but then I started to love them. The staff is excellent, the teachers are very good. The place is clean, and Coach Kannen is the best. But they need to improve on one thing: more family plans. In my case, I have a teenage daughter, and there are no promotions for high school students to attend the center, nor discounts or anything. I hope they take this into account.

Honestly, this gym has gone downhill! Use to be good it really was! Now some machines be either broken or don’t work, the girls bathroom is dirty like gross! And they got rid of cardio cinema bummer!
However, I give it 3 stars cuz the guy on the front I believe he’s Asian or Hispanic he’s kinda cute with the black hair! 🤭🤭🤭

I’m disappointed with the lack of transparency and how clients are treated. I pay for the Studio Pass, the most expensive tier, but was still charged a fee for being just a few minutes late to a class that was nearly empty. Life is already busy with work, family, and no control over traffic... this policy feels unfair, especially when the class isn’t full. It doesn’t feel like a welcoming approach from a gym.
Outside the classes, the gym is also packed most of the time.
I’m giving 2 stars only because the class instructors are nice.

Ive been attending classes at American Fork VASA for years. I’m so frustrated with Julio, Jamie and Corporate. They do not listen to us. The pump classes are getting canceled and replaced with High fit and Les Mills. WE DO NOT WANT THIS! If you need to add 5 Les Mills classes because of a contract put them somewhere else. 10:30 is wide open! These pump classes have been the most attended classes at VASA for over 20 years and we’ve had the same teachers. There’s a reason why they have lasted so long!!! Every time a new group fitness lead gets hired (which is often) they come in and want to change the schedule. For some reason they think they know more than those of us who have been attending these classes for years! This isn’t right. We are the paying customer. We should get a say of what classes are being offered. I could understand it if the classes weren’t well attended. But the Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday 8:15 and 9:30 pump classes are the most popular at AF Vasa. And now they are being taken away. The AF Vasa is old, dirty, and the equipment stinks. The ONLY reason I go to the AF is for the teachers and the classes they teach.
Here we go again! We were told from corporate that pump classes were not going to change. They responded to all of the negative reviews. We were also asked to take down our negative reviews because it makes Vasa look bad. And yet we just learned today that the Tuesday 8:15 pump class is changing to Les Mills!! We don’t want Les Mills!!! We want body sculpt. Don’t change the schedule that we have loved for years. Why does this continue to be an issue???

I am only here for Lori’s Classes! Her energy is amazing! She pushes you but in a way you enjoy it! I have been going to her classes for over 10 years! If you want a good workout you enjoy go to Lori’s class!!!

Jessa is a fantastic instructor! She does just a great job at making upbeat Pilates accessible to all skill levels and making the class a safe space. I’m sad that the 6:00am Pilates classes on Thursday are being taken away in September and replaced by a Les Mills class at the American Fork location. There is already a Les Mills body pump in Saratoga during that 6:00am time for people who want it. Not to mentioned there are 2 time spots in Lehi on Wednesdays for Les Mills.
I wish the class schedules didn’t change so much and there were easier ways for clients to express their wishes for classes aside from google reviews.
5 stars for Jessa. 3 stars for the ever changing group class schedule.

There is one reason and one reason only I have a gym membership to Vasa: Pump with Lori Saturday mornings at 8:15am. I have tried high fitness, cycling, Zumba, hip hop. My ultimate favorite is Pump with Lori. I make it a priority to consistently attend and pride myself on the progress I can see in myself as the months roll by. Lori has a gift for connecting with her attendees and inspires me to try my best in class. I have bad knees and often modify the movement and I never feel silly for doing a different move - I can tell Lori is excited to have people come to class no matter what their fitness level is. I love that the workout changes every 4 weeks - it helps me focus on different muscle groups and keeps the workout engaging. Lori has a gift for being a fitness instructor and I am so grateful she has a Saturday class since I work full time and can’t come to her other class during the week!

I have been very disappointed in the last two years with Vasa Corporate. I have been a member since 1996 when the gym opened on 9th East in Provo. I joined specifically for the classes. I have watched them grow and become more detached from member feedback. They have made changes to their class structure by shortening class length and now want to drop a popular pump class that has been there since 2003 and is always packed. There have been so many members who have reached out to corporate over these changes to no avail. Vasa needs to consider feedback from its members who regularly attend classes before making these changes.

I whole-heartedly agree with all of the reviews frustrated about the pump class situation. I’m in the same boat. I’ve been attending Lori’s pump classes for 8 years and they are the BEST. She is the best pump teacher I’ve ever been to, and I have tried dozens of different pump teachers at different VASAs throughout Utah. I live in Vineyard and drive to AF just for her classes even though there are closer locations to me. This AF location has nothing going for it other than Lori’s classes and I will absolutely stop going here + cancel my membership if her classes get taken away.

The vasa in American fork doesn’t care about its PAYING customers. This location is dirty and run down and I’m sick and tired of every time I walk in trying to get pushed into your studio red classes. Those are great at your other locations but NOT what we want here. I’ve been attending the Tuesday/thursday/Saturday 9:30 pump classes for 15 years. It’s the only reason I still come to this gym. Lori is the best thing and the only thing keeping things going at this location. And now you want to drop those classes because of a contract with Les Mills. Nobody here wants that. I have been attending group fitness classes at American Fork Vasa for 10 years now, and the only reason I’ve stuck around for so long is for the teachers. The fitness room is not taken care of (broken fans, terrible sound system, etc.), and changes are constantly being made to the schedule. I’m extremely frustrated that they are now taking away full classes that have been around for years, without asking any of the participants what they want. This is just pushing people away from the gym. If the classes are changed, and the veteran teachers will no longer be teaching, I have no reason to stay at this gym.
Also, I don’t need to be asked to attend studio red every time I enter the gym. The employees should not be encouraging people to leave the classes they enjoy, so that Studio Red has participants.

American Fork vasa does not care about its patrons, what they want, what their desires are or what they're paying for. Aside from machines, being broken constantly, corporate, not having a care or concern in the world for members, they are once again changing classes and taking things out that are the most popular. I have been a member at this gym for 15 years, I go to one teacher that I love, her classes are full every single time and every week. The manager has just let people know that they are taking away the "power pump class" and replacing it with a Les Mills style class. No one wants this. The power pump class is packed, and full to the brim every single week and is a "fan favorite". Corporate, and management do not care. They are very well aware that this is how the members feel, and they are changing it anyway. I live much closer to another vasa and drive over to this one because I love the teacher and the class. And I'm not the only one. But again, both corporate and managers have no regard for what the members want, for forgetting of course that they work for us. This kind of crap has happened more times than I can count and is despicable. I stopped coming to that gym when this class stops. It is held on Tuesday morning at 9:30 and Saturday morning at 8:15. Both of those classes need to stay. And I demand that they not change this, without getting a Poll from all the members of the class. Which will come back with 100% satisfaction and everybody wanting the class to stay the same. PAY ATTENTION to your members and what they want. That should be all that you care about and nothing more. You work for us.

The group fitness classes have been amazing. Unfortunately the amazing classes and instructors are being dropped in favor of another format that the customers are not interested in. No one has asked the people attending the classes for feedback and instead continue to go in and make changes for the worse. We need more pump classes, not less. Will be canceling my membership if they drop any of the pump classes.

Their steam room has been broken for like three months. They keep saying they're going to fix it but it's still busted. I even upgraded my membership so I could get access to other vasas to use their steam rooms, but I went to two others and both theirs were busted too. You'd think with as many locations as they have they'd be able to fix something in a reasonable timeframe. I feel like the upgrade was a huge waste of money. It's always really crowded too.

Koach Kannen (yes, Koach with a capital K) is seriously life-changing. His classes work better than my antidepressant—no joke. If you’re still going to that other orange workout place, cancel it now. Signing up for a membership is like signing your soul away. They take every opportunity they can to scrape money from you. I was only with them for 4 months with a basic plan and I've had to pay them more in random other fees than I've paid for the actual membership. I cancel my membership because i moved and not only was it super difficult to actually cancel the membership, but they charged me almost $50 to cancel it. I'm never setting foot in a vasa again

I’ve been going to Heather Daley’s group fitness classes in the evening at the American Fork location and it changed my life! She is the best fitness coach I’ve ever had. You can tell how passionate she is as she’s always so in tune with the class. Great music, coaching, offering modifications for those who need it. She’s really on point and so fun! First I tried the Studio Red class which was really fun. Then she suggested to try her Pump class. This is really where I found my stride. The workout is always dynamic, new, and challenging as Heather is always cooking up new routines. I’ll be going wherever Heather is teaching from now on. Definitely check this out!

My favorite Vasa location. As a Mom, I love the childcare staff. Shout out to Dani & Nancy for knowing my kiddo my name and always making it a fun and welcoming environment for her. I love the down to earth vibe of this gym and how encouraging and welcoming everyone is. **Also, this is a 5 star review. I’m not sure why google lists it as a 4.

This is the one you should train at.
The open scheme makes training comfortable and hassle free. There are numerous machines and free weights.
The spa is spectacular with each amenity you could think of.
The staff is amazing and friendly, if you’re training alone you just may find a new lifting partner, a lot of strong/cool individuals train here.

I went to this gym about five years ago. And it was dark, not very clean and not enjoyable. I don’t even recognize it anymore. The atmosphere is friendly and enjoyable. I’ve been going to this location for a few months and no changes have been made to the free weight dumbbell racks. It is very disorganized! I used to go to the Van Winkle location and the dumbbell racks were perfect. Top row had weights 5 pounds starting on the left side and added up all the way to 50 pounds as you got to the right side. And the bottom row started with 55 pounds on the left and made its way over to the right reaching 150 pound dumbbells. Perfectly organized. There isn’t enough spots on the racks for the dumbbell weight so people have just left the remaining dumbbells on the ground. Some of the dumbbells are also falling apart and need to be replaced. You guys need all the same brand dumbbells to make it less confusing as well. Please fix this issue!!!

This location is ok but is in need of tune ups in some of the equipment. For how busy it is I’m surprised they don’t have duplicates in some of the more popular equipment (I.e hip adductors & hip abductions) I swear no matter the time of day there’s ALWAYS a line or someone on the equipment. Also, would be nice to have two dry saunas, one for men and one for women. It’s pretty stinky in there and always packed.

Poor Facilities and Unhelpful Customer Service
I attended VASA for two weeks, hoping for a positive gym experience, but it was far from that. The facility does not have enough weights or fitness equipment to accommodate its members. Almost every day, I had to wait at least an hour to use any equipment. When I finally got access, there were not enough free weights for everyone, and my sets were frequently interrupted because other members would take the weights I was using during my rest periods. It was impossible to finish a workout effectively.
Additionally, their customer service is terrible. I contacted an agent to cancel my membership after being charged nearly $100 for a membership I barely used. The agent was unfriendly, repeatedly interrupted me, and showed no concern for the issues I raised about my experience at the gym. Despite my complaints, they refused to offer a refund or even a partial refund. I was also charged a yearly fee and a cancellation fee on top of that, which feels incredibly unfair given my short membership duration and poor experience.
VASA needs to invest in enough equipment to meet customer demand and implement policies that ensure members can complete their workouts without constant disruptions. They should also train their customer service staff to listen empathetically and assist customers with legitimate concerns.
For anyone considering a gym membership, I strongly advise looking elsewhere. VASA seems more focused on taking money from its members than providing a quality experience or addressing customer concerns.

This Vasa has the dirtiest Sauna in Utah. It has about 20 years worth of dead skin, and who knows what between the cracks of the cedar. I’ve told staff about it several times and nothing has ever been done.

Their childcare SUCKS. The TV is ALWAYS ON, so all the kids just watch it instead of playing. Staff would rather them do that instead of having to play and interact with them. So disappointed. I did contact the manager about this before writing this review, she said she would look into it but did absolutely nothing. Nothing changed and the TV is still on just as much as ever, if not more. Even when there are few kids there. I’m considering canceling my membership because of this. I don’t want my kids to have an extra 6 hours of total TV time a week, because the TV is the babysitter at VASA.

The gym is kept clean and organized, and there is an abundance of equipment for your needs. Machines are maintained and the members and staff are generally considerate and courteous. I have lost 64 pounds and counting using this gym. I'm here almost every day and I love it. My ONE complaint is the fact that they close at 10pm on Saturdays and 4pm on Sundays which sometimes causes issues with my janky work schedule, but I can't fault them for that. Excellent gym otherwise, highly recommend!

I am posting a review because I Don’t know who to contact because I know it’s not any fault of an employee, this is a complaint about the way vasa structures business. Every time I drop my daughter off for daycare I am given a sales pitch about how I should upgrade my membership. I do not want to upgrade my membership. I don’t think the employees, whose sole purpose should be taking care of and paying attention to our children should be asked to upsell gym members. I don’t mind if the front desk does it, but it’s clear to me the daycare employees get some sort of incentive to upsell which seems unethical to me. They should be earning a fair wage, they have difficult jobs and the daycare employees seem to filter in and out like a revolving door which has made my child not want to go there anymore because it lacks consistency. Pay them a fair wage they take care of children for crying out loud

This was just a side gym for me originally, but since getting injured I’ve been coming here a lot more for the past few months to just do weight training. Every time I’m here there is an employee cleaning, which I appreciate. There could be more 2.5 and 5lb plates because those are hard to find, but that’s been my only complaint so far. The machines are all in good condition and when one has broken, I haven’t noticed very long because they fix things pretty quickly. And you can’t beat the price! Very satisfied!

The fitness areas are great, well maintained equipment and easy to access.
Bathrooms could be cleaner, they get a lot of traffic and so gym toilets have a way of getting nasty pretty quick. Could probably use a touch up now an then.
Desk professionals should be more knowledgeable of how the Vasa app works. After talking to 3 different desk sitters, none of them could answer any of my questions about the VASA application, so I just had to sit and figure it all out myself.
There is only one adjustable curling bar that I’ve seen in the entire gym too. Should really have like 3 or 4 I’m either using it and there are other people waiting for it, or I’m waiting for it.
It is also difficult to locate the 2.5 pound and 5 pound plates. You need more of those too. I frequently have to walk the entire gym to find a pair of them so maybe pick up 3-4 pairs of them too.
