Gym gives you everything you need and ample space, however traditional sauna doesn’t have a loyly bucket and ladle defeating the purpose of the sauna. Also they allow people to bring in their tennis’s shoes they work out in, which is a hygiene issue

Don’t give them any card info or your money and credit will suffer!
They say they’ll cancel and don’t and then you get a surprise $300 charge 6 months later after not using their gym and they start to dig into your credit through collections! Then a year later you’ll get another $400 charge and they’ll be confused at how that even adds up after a year and act like you did something wrong!! Apparently you have to cancel every year or you will be charged! If you like a half-decent gym that will charge you for life, go here!

Hailey’s classes are the reason I keep coming back to VASA. Both her Upbeat Barre and Upbeat Lift classes are challenging in the best way, but what really sets her apart is how she makes every single person feel welcome, safe, and supported. Not a bad gym, but they did some shady business practices with my account. They put my birthdate as 1900 for the year. When i tried to cancel the app would not find my account because the year only goes to 1901, kind of funny how that works. They know what they are doing and I do not recommend this gym to anyone. Shady people there.

VASA is terrible. My life is busy with two little kids. I’m not able to use the membership like I wanted. I was charged a $25 cancellation fee or forced to pay $15 freeze. VASA will try to nickel and dime you for everything.

Shoutout to VASA Herriman for achieving the impossible: keeping the same broken swimsuit dryer untouched for over a year. Truly inspiring levels of commitment to never fixing anything. At this point it feels like a museum exhibit—“The Ancient Dryer That Never Worked.”
I guess drying your swimsuit is now considered an advanced luxury at this gym. Maybe one day, when the stars align and a miracle occurs, someone will actually repair it. Until then, enjoy dripping your way to the parking lot.
If—and only if—this legendary broken dryer ever gets fixed, I’ll gladly remove this review.

You can't lift weights at this gym due to the culture of people sitting on machines scrolling on their phones. I still go because I like the precore brand of ellipticals, but this morning I show up and someone decided to switch out almost the entire row of ellipticals to treadmills. So now there are almost 3 full rows of treadmills and 4 ellipticals. Ridiculous. This location has the worst space management I've seen in any gym. This locations manager also needs to change the culture of the gym to not sit on your phone on machines so others can't workout.

Edit: when you provide a response to a customer I would recommend reading the review. I did not say I had a negative experience. I said you are middle of the road for a VASA. Receiving 3 stars is a middle of the road rating. I guess I could remove a star if that is what you are looking for. I am aware of how to see when you are busy. That was more of a note to others to check before coming. I see you won’t be changing anything about cleaning/maintenance based on your comments. I expected that though since I have sent quite a few emails about it and an attempt was made to gas light me into believing you guys were improving. Stop pretending like you guys care about your customers. Save the money on the google review response team and put it towards a team that will clean the bathrooms or fixes your equipment. You won’t need to respond if you maintain your gym better.
It’s an OK VASA as far as VASAs go. Not enough machines and it gets very crowded as certain parts of the day. They also don’t do very well on the maintenance and cleaning at this location.

I think this is a great place. I'm am an old man with lots of physical issues so I have a great personal trainer named Laci Wynn. Over the past 6 months she has helped me lose 40 pounds and improve my strength a lot! She's not the kind of trainer who constantly pushes and yells. She listens and comes up with solutions. I can't thank her enough!

I really love this gym! We have gone to vasa for easily a decade or more but this Herriman location is our favorite!! I literally only come for the group fitness- the studio red classes (particularly ACE) are incredibly motivating and challenging! If you really want a good workout try ace’s class. He really elevates it!

I’ve been a member at VASA for the past two years, and overall, the staff has always been great — friendly, welcoming, and hardworking. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about management. It’s become increasingly clear that their priority is numbers over members.
Almost every time I come in, I’m approached about upgrading my membership or signing up for personal training — sometimes multiple times a week, and often while I’m in the middle of a workout. I understand the need to grow sales, but constantly interrupting members during their workouts is not the right approach. It makes the gym feel less like a community and more like a sales floor.
What’s even more concerning is the lack of leadership presence. I’ve seen management spending time on their phones or socializing while the front desk staff handle nearly everything. Those employees work hard and deserve more support — not more pressure. From the conversations I’ve had, it seems like they’re being pushed to hit quotas rather than encouraged to build genuine connections with members.
VASA has great potential, but management needs to remember that people are what make this gym successful — not just sales metrics. Members should feel valued, not treated like a number or a transaction. I truly hope to see the focus shift back to creating a positive, member-first environment. If not, I’ll likely have to find another gym where the priority is fitness and community, not constant sales pressure.

I don't typically review places, but I've seen enough stuff the last few months that I decided to speak up. First, broken equipment doesn't get fixed for months. Not 1 or 2... try 6 months or more. Some of the machines were fixed recently but the red light machine still has a bunch of bulbs burned out.
The other issue is the manager. I was on the treadmill close to the front desk and heard her yelling at employees about selling more memberships. On my way out, I asked the guy at the front desk what that was all about and he told me they have to sell a certain number of the expensive memberships or personal training or they get fired. Wow. If my manager yelled at me like that in front of everyone, I'd quit and walk out.

If you take your child to the Kidcare here, take a picture of your names on the sign in sheet for yourself. I was wrongfully charged for a no show even though my son was there for his reservation. I went in person, called multiple times and we are on week 3 of no refund or answers. I asked to check the sign in sheets and they wouldn’t let me. Do they throw those away? Then they wanted the date and time to check cameras and I left a message saying the date and time and have heard nothing. I’m letting it go at this point and will not be using their kidcare anymore. I’ve wondered about charges before but let them go. It makes me wonder if people are wrongfully charged more than we realize. So pay attention to your bank account and Vasa charges! I’m glad I caught this. The more I talk to people the more fishy things I hear about Vasa’s charges too.

I do really love Vasa. I have been with them for over 15 years. They have great staff and personal trainers. We used to have good music at this location and several other locations too. Lately, we have too loud, offensive rap music only at this location. They get at least 2 complaints each week for the music only. They have put in several requests from Patons to change and or lower the music volume. They have not lowered or changed the music. Other than that, I really do enjoy VASA.

The good:
This Vasa has a large variety of equipment and group classes. The staff is friendly and welcoming.
The bad:
I originally signed up for the group classes, but was quickly turned off by the amount of patrons and instructors recording videos. While they have the right to make content, being filmed in the gym made me feel uncomfortable enough to not want to continue going.
While there is a lot of equipment available, broken equipment sits for quite some time before being repaired.
Front desk staff is often not able to answer questions and online support routes you to chatbots that are not very helpful.
After deciding to cancel my membership, I was charged nearly $100 in cancellation fees.

Remember you can cancel through the app but they will still be scummy about it. They require 30-day notice to cancel or they will charge you for the next month upon cancellation, so if you JUST paid yesterday, you're paying again.
This place is so overcrowded and parking is a nightmare. Lots of social media stuff going on and that just isn't my thing. It makes me feel a bit unsafe and a member did find me online. Staff was always very nice.
EDIT: To respond to the reply by the business, I was with VASA for several years. I'm specifically talking about the unnecessary "notice" required to terminate. No justification was provided for why except that you guys just want more money. This is not a "spot" to fill (otherwise it wouldn't be so crowded and parking wouldn't be near impossible) so other than filling your pockets why would you require notice?

I've always been a bit skeptical about hiring a personal trainer, but working with Will has completely changed my perspective! Will is an incredibly holistic and supportive coach who truly understands that everyone's fitness journey is unique. He respects individual health challenges, understands the importance of aligning workouts with your energy levels, and always brings a positive mindset to every session. Training with him has been an absolute game-changer, and I can't recommend him highly enough!
For those women out there, who like me, have felt intimidated by going to the gym and working with trainers, make sure you get a consultation with Will, you will thank me later :)

We've been members for almost 4 years. During this time the treadmills and bikes continue to be broken. It is sad that the "team" has the pressure of making excuses for ineffective management. The time it takes for them to be fixed is disappointing. At this time we are driving further to another Vasa to continue our exercise routine.
Bravo to the Vasa Team! We reached out to the Herriman Management and they listened to our concerns..at this time they have assured us that the machines will be fixed in a timely manner.
In the meantime, we continue to go to the Riverton gym..special permission, thanks to our Herriman manager.

About a year ago, my friend Terra Nielsen invited my husband and I to a Studio Red class at VASA. We went—and nearly died! (My husband hasn’t taken a class since 😂). At the time, I was preparing for gastric sleeve surgery and wanted to build muscle, so I kept going.
I had my surgery in mid-August and focused hard on nutrition (shoutout to protein!) and staying hydrated. A couple of months and several pounds later, I returned to class. The instructors were amazing, offering modified moves to help me rebuild strength. Denise, in particular, has been incredible.
At the start of 2025, I began personal training with Marcus, who created a plan tailored to my health history and goals. It was a game-changer. For the past six months, I’ve been training with Brett and doing exercises I never imagined—like deadlifts and squats. The human body truly is a miracle.
I’ve hit all my goals:
✅ 75 pounds lost
✅ 55 inches lost
✅ BMI at 25
I’m beyond grateful to the VASA team who supported me every step of the way. A few weeks ago, Denise asked if I’d noticed the definition in my quads—and another woman told me she was jealous of my calves during a session with Brett. Those non-scale victories mean the world.

Probably the newest/cleanest VASA I’ve been to. I’ve visited the taylorsville and south jordan location, all of which are nice but this one seems a lot newer with newer equipment. About the same size as the others. The staff seems a lot more engaged and nicer than the other locations as well.

This place is a decent gym, but I implore you to NOT sign up since they intentionally make it impossible to cancel your membership, and they keep draining your bank account until you jump through all of their hoops, in clear violation of the federal click-to-cancel law.
When I felt done with my membership, I went to cancel online through my account portal. After "cancelling" both my membership and my minor son's, I received a notification that the only way to really finalize the cancellation request was to go into the gym and cancel in person (federal law violation #1).
Begrudgingly, I went in and told the front counter attendant that I was cancelling my account and my son's account. The attendant looked up our accounts, hit a few buttons on his computer, and reported they were closed. Then, several days later, I received an email from Vasa that appeared to be a confirmation of account closure. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to contain a message that said that if I really, super duper want to close my account, I have to now provide them a written reason for the closure (federal law violation #2).
I provided the requested narrative, and finally my account was closed. But according to VASA, they sent another email like this for my son's account (which I have no record of receiving). And since they didn't receive a response to that, they've continued to charge me to the tune of $200. For my minor son. Whose account was tied to mine. Who can't get to the gym without me.
I have talked to customer service multiple times, and they are adamant that they do not refund any money for any reason, even when they are clearly in the wrong. They admitted to receiving the cancellation for my son and verified my entire cancellation narrative I provided them, but said since I didn't respond to their email, they did not have to cancel the account per their terms and conditions.
DO NOT MAKE THE MISTAKE OF SIGNING UP WITH THESE THIEVES.
(Now watch, Vasa will post a response to my review imploring me to call customer service where they will fix everything. I have done that! Their customer service is trained to protect Vasa's interests at all costs - don't be fooled by their fake response post, "Oh I'm so sorry you experienced this, please call us and we'll be sure to fix it!")

The kid care at this Vasa location is amazing! My kids (5 and 2) love to come. They do cute crafts and fun activities. The staff is fantastic with the kids and it’s always clean and organized. It’s nice to get a workout in and know my kids are having fun too!

I recently signed up and am loving all the amenities and the staff. Staff is so friendly and willing to answer any of my questions. I also signed up with Stephany as my personal trainer and she is AMAZING! So supportive and willing to make modifications to accommodate my limits.
One dislike I have is that people will get out of the pool sopping wet and then head into the sauna. The issue is that the floors are soaking wet which makes it a tripping hazard for people coming in and out. Because of all the water on the sauna floor, I almost had a pretty big fall on my way out. Wish they would put silicone mats or something in the center leading to the door.

The only reason this Vasa got one star is it’s open and not congested. Other than that the equipment is run down and broken, for how big and open it is there’s a very very limited selection of equipment to use, some of the equipment if the safety locks aren’t broken, the attachments are wore out, hardly any attachments to choose from, the men’s bathroom is nasty and stinks constantly. Just a very run down not taken care of place! Would not advise going here. I’ve only been a member for a week and going to cancel and go somewhere else!!!

Cleanliness in the men’s locker room is unacceptable. The lack of consistent or scheduled cleaning is un sanitary. I even called the manager and spoke to them directly. Haven’t seen any change she even defended saying that they restock things hourly. I told them yes I understand, but restocking toilet paper and paper towels is not cleaning. You have to use sprays and mobs to clean. I would recommend maybe some attempt to air fresheners.
I don’t have $500 to buy a gas mask, but I’m about to save up or just get another gym membership. The bar is not that high, but please hire people that will at least attempt to clean and we will make major progress on the smells and sanitation in the men’s locker room.

Katie teaches Cycle Pump. I came alot a couple years ago then life happened so I took a break but now I'm back. I drive an hour one way just for her class. He is passionate, skilled, and genuinely cares about your progress. He will keep you focused and motivated even on the toughest days. He doesn’t just train with you he will transform you physically and mentally. Every session is a mix of sweat, laughter, and maybe a few tears in the car before I drive home lol but it is well worth it. Ace is an exceptional trainer and an even better person. This is a nice gym, I like the equipment options. And love the people in kids care. The reason for 1 star is because me and my wife both have memberships here. My wife pays for the most expensive studio membership as well as pays even more money for the kids care bundle every month. I also pay for a membership here, my problem is they won’t link our accounts which would allow me to drop off and pick up my kid, because I’m not paying for the more expensive memberships. So even though we are paying the most money you can pay, they are making us pay double the money for kids for the same child. Just so I can drop her off and pick her up. It doesn’t make sense to me and is very frustrating.
So just be aware when purchasing a membership her for your household, if you and your significant other want to both drop off your child and pick them up you will need to pay double for the same child.

I love Vasa. It definitely gets super crowded and parking is a madhouse sometimes but it’s a great place to get a good workout in.
But, I have to rave about Kidcare! The women there are incredible and deserve raises truly. My now 1 year old has been going since he was like 4 months old and he is obsessed with the ladies there. He smiles and gets so excited when he sees them and he wants to keep playing when it’s time to leave. I appreciate them taking such good care of my sweet boy so that I can get some much needed gym time. 10/10 the best staff.

If your back and forth debating on getting a trainer or not I highly recommend you do. I was very very insecure about my body and was nervous to start with a trainer but needed guidance to know what to do and how to do to gain weight. I first started with Josh which was amazing but since he’s head of the trainers he can’t do it. So he paired me with someone who fit my personality the most(which was the best experience) I ended up with Brent. He was the best person I could ever have ended up with in training. He pushed me hard, knew my limits, knew when I wasn’t done and matched my energy and personality perfectly! I highly recommend Brent for your pt.

This gym is awesome! The staff are very responsive to issues and concerns about equipment and the extremely rare issues with other members.
For some reason, it's hard to get the torn up pads on some of the machines fixed in a reasonable amount of time and getting the batteries replaced on the counters built in to the machines has been nearly impossible. The staff to a great job of making a request for repairs, but it can take months to get some things fixed.
The one thing I'd like to see is staff being empowered to deal with the members who routinely abuse the equipment. It seems they're discouraged from having conversations with members that use equipment improperly.

I absolutely love working out at Herriman VASA! The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and the equipment is top-notch—definitely newer and in better condition compared to some other VASA locations, like West Jordan. It’s clear they really invest in keeping everything up to date.
A huge shoutout to Bri, the manager, who is incredibly friendly and always willing to help out. She creates such a welcoming atmosphere that makes coming to the gym a pleasure every time.
I also have to mention the Kid Care service. I have two boys, and they absolutely love it there! They’re always excited to do fun projects and activities while I work out. It's not only a great experience for them, but it’s also spotless and well-managed, which gives me peace of mind.

I have osteoarthritis in both knees, and my left knee is bone on bone. After years of running, hiking, and skiing, I didn't want to give up these activities, but my knees, especially the left one, were hurting. Before considering surgery, I decided to try working with a trainer to see if it could help my knees.
I began training with Marcus in August 2024, and my knees haven't felt this strong, stable, or pain-free in years. I'm now doing exercises and lifting weights that I never thought I would be able to do again. Marcus is knowledgeable and encouraging; he pushes me when he knows I can handle it but slows things down when necessary.
During our first session, he noticed that I wasn't engaging my glutes, and he taught me how to activate them to relieve pressure on my knees. He quickly spots when I'm not using the right muscles and my form is incorrect. Working with him has been a game-changer for me.
I'm skiing again this year, and for the first time, my thighs didn't burn, and I've noticed that I'm using my glutes more than my knees. Thank you, Marcus!

Purchased a membership for my son for Christmas, he never activated his membership or used it once. He decided he wanted to just use the gym at school. Called member services to cancel the account. Not only did they charge a $25 cancelation fee but they also charged me the annual fee. The gentlemen that helped me had zero interest in helping me or providing good customer service. Extremely disappointed in how this was handled. Do better VASA take care of your customers. I'll be canceling my other two memberships.

I love this gym so much! Every day I walk in someone is holding the door for you. The front desk staff are so friendly and welcoming. Kidcare staff are super sweet and reassuring that they will call you if you're needed. I love attending the Studio Red classes as I have no clue of what to do in the gym. Personal Trainers are super sweet and I have been wanting to sign up with one of them to get on track to achieving my goals. The front desk employees are always friendly and make sure that I don’t loose the retail credit that’s included with the membership level I have. The Studio Red classes are great; it’s a mix of cardio and strength exercises with amazing coaches to help you with your form and encourage you to keep going. Natalie and Terra are my favorite coaches. I also enjoy the variety of group fitness classes; Upbeat Barre and Lift with Hailey and Pilates with Melissa, High with Hal, Shay, James, or Terra, and they just added a new dance type class on Sundays that I’m excited to try, I think it’s called Riot.

When this gym opened, I was excited because I was traveling 30 minutes a day round trip to go to the gym, and it only takes 5 minutes to get here. They really did build this gym too small for this area. Almost every time of day it is busy, even at 5 in the morning. The Herriman Vasa has changed my life! I started my fitness journey over two years ago and I have been so grateful for so many of the people who work here and care about the members. I started by going to Studio Red a couple times a week, and met so many wonderful people who were encouraging and helped me learn so much. I decided to sign up for Personal Training with Jonny and that was the best decision! His knowledge and care that he puts in with each of his clients is amazing! He genuinely cares about the individual goals for his clients and puts in so much time and effort to help them achieve those goals. I cannot say enough good things about him and I’m sure if you talked to anyone they would agree. The front desk is also always happy and willing to help with anything! Of all the gyms and even VASAs in the area, this one is by far the best around. The gym is always very lively but not often overcrowded. The staff maintain the facilities excellently. The crew is constantly resetting the racks, moving weights around, refilling the wipes, etc. The gym space itself is well laid-out, with different corners for cable machines, free weights, personal training, and free space to stretch, box, roll out, etc. Machines in need of repair are fixed within days. Studio classes are very high quality and always a good time. Personal training is the highlight for me—huge shout out to Brent O’Donnell, who is masterful, extremely knowledgable, and super supportive. Marcus, the PT manager is an excellent coordinator and support to all staff. Shout out to the desk crew, especially Gracie, Aysha, and Tyler, who are always efficient and friendly. Finally, Bri is an excellent manager. She encourages feedback, spreads the word about promotions and the included perks of each membership tier, and runs a fantastic operation. Highly endorsed!

Vasa’s Kidcare at Herriman is outstanding! I saw some other reviews and was absolutely shocked by the disappointing reviews. Positives first, THE STAFF, THE STAFF, THE STAFF! I cannot express my love for these women. They take such good care of my baby. I’ve been bringing him since he was 3 months old and is now one year. He gets so excited to come everyday and the staff care so deeply for him and me. Anytime he’s been sick or we’ve had a very long night where no one is sleeping, I’ve called in advance and they’ve canceled my appointment, no fees. They only call when he needs a nappy change or is absolutely out of control, and that’s only happened once. They truly do their best to let you enjoy your workout and not try to bother you. I am eternally grateful for these women and I feel they are so under appreciated.
Okay, if you’re looking for the negatives this is what I do have to say and it’s only with vasa management. It is very hard to get times to book Kidcare because they are understaffed. Because they are understaffed (I’m guessing based off time slots) they need to be paid more. Make it a desirable job and bam, they will have enough staff. Kidcare is affordable but also not cheap. They can afford to pay their Kidcare staff more and that will hopefully allow them to hire more people and open more time slots. Within the last month though, they did open their slots up more and I haven’t had an issue booking for the last 2 weeks. Evenings are almost always available. If it was a dream world I would request that Kidcare was open from 8am-4pm because with nap time I have to either come first thing in the morning or in the evening because they aren’t open between 12-4. I also wish I could book a 2 hour time slot, but again that’s with all Vasa’s not specific to Herriman.
Overall I love this Kidcare and I rely so heavily on it for a break during the day. Thankful for this team that cares about these kiddos.

Horrendous treatment of customers!
My friend referred me to join Vasa last year while I initially stayed with him in South Jordan and enrolled in Riverton Vasa branch. Early this year I moved to Herriman and started visiting Herriman Vasa branch. All of a sudden on Black Friday, the person at front desk stopped me and said he can’t let me in. He didn’t even let me talk, instead tried to force me with some Black Friday membership upgrade.
I said “I’ve been a Vasa member for more than a year paying for my membership, you can’t treat me like this!”.
He said “I can’t let you in today. Either change your Home Gym to Herriman which will take you long time, or if you upgrade your membership today, it’s effective immediately and you can visit multiple branches”. [Worst way of marketing I’ve seen]
It’s been almost a year I’m visiting Herriman Vasa branch and never been notified via email or app notifications, and no other person has ever advised me that I should only be going to the Riverton branch or change the home gym. Had he been ethical enough to let me in and explained that politely, or Vasa had notified me of these conditions well in advance, I’d have taken the necessary steps abruptly.
First, learn to treat your customers well, so you don’t have to market or force these upgrades, happy customers will do it themselves. Not sure how you even recruited that guy to represent your front desk! I’m gonna continue to share this despicable incident at Herriman Vasa with my friends and all the media platform, and also report to FTC for any further changes you impose. If this continues, you’ll soon lose many valuable customers.

I am extremely disappointed with how my 18-year-old son was treated at VASA Fitness in Herriman, particularly by the general manager. My family—including myself, my wife, and my daughter—are paying members of this gym, and we expect professionalism and fairness in how staff treat both members and potential members. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my son’s visit.
According to testimonies and what my son told me, the general manager refused to allow him to wait in the lobby because he did not yet have a membership. She also failed to offer him a free day pass, which is often a standard courtesy at fitness centers, and instead only presented expensive enrollment options. After he decided to enroll online, she informed him that he would not be allowed to use his membership for two weeks because she “didn’t feel comfortable” due to how she felt he treated her. This appears to be retaliatory and unprofessional behavior, which could be viewed as discriminatory under consumer protection standards.
As paying members of VASA Fitness, we find this treatment unacceptable and potentially in violation of fair business practices. I strongly urge the management of this location to investigate this situation, address this unprofessional conduct, and ensure that all staff members adhere to ethical and legal standards. Until this issue is resolved, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone.

I hate working out. But I don’t mind it as much when I’m here. I really enjoy the studio red classes. Coach Terra, James, Natalie are all so inviting and knowledgeable and make the class fun. I can get an early quick workout in and go about the rest of my day sore but feeling good.

A good gym :) busy during the normal busy hours for any public setting. Not dirty but could have better attention to cardio machines. Not sure if the turf ever gets cleaned, kinda scary, lowkey. Bathrooms are a lil scary too lol . Anyways the ONLY reason why I have this rating as 5 stars is because of the MES Tony at the front, pretty sure that’s his name. I’m also pretty sure he’s the only one that actually does any work & walks away from the front desk every morning, all the time. We come in after 5:30am every day and if he doesn’t greet us politely, it’s because he’s out on the floor cleaning, picking up trash, or putting machines in the system to get fixed. Tony is awesome, he’s the only employee that genuinely acknowledges that we’re there lol. He talks to us about the merch n stuff we can buy, invites us to classes n such & it feels normal, not like it’s forced. We’re just regular folk, that come in every day, we ain’t shredded or nun like everyone else in there but he remembers us, talks to us & says bye when we’re done :) after a hard morning workout we enjoy seeing Tony on the way out the door. Give the guy a raise.

I’ve been going to Vasa for a few years now, this location for 6 months! I see a lot of complaints about very minor things but so far I’ve been very impressed with this location! There’s plenty of squat racks and deadlift platforms! I have yet to find another location with this many! Every time I find a broken piece of equipment, it’s fixed within a day or two which was never the case for every other gym I’ve been to! Most importantly, I love the kidcare and their staff! As a new mom it was difficult for me to leave my child behind with strangers but the staff has been so patient and understanding with me and my child! I do wish it weren’t so hard to get an appointment, but I know that they have to stay within ratio and there are lots of parents who also come to this location. So far I’ve had a great experience and prefer this location to any other vasa in the area!

“I’ve been a member of Vasa for 4 years. I signed up for personal training and really enjoyed working with Danny and Josh. Recently, I’ve noticed staff changes, and most of the employees who made Vasa great have left, including personal trainers and group fitness instructors. I extended my personal training contract for 3 months using the app. When I called to give my 30-day notice, I was informed that I was under contract until February. When I extended my contract, the app glitched, and I didn’t think much of it. I tried talking with customer service and explained what happened with the app, telling them that I had selected 3 months, not 6. However, they wouldn’t budge and were quite short and rude. Word to the wise: don’t trust the app.”

Good gym, good equipment and a very good staff. Marcus personal trainer has helped me an incredible amount. After suffering a broken and surgically repaired shoulder and humorous - complete with new hardware, and a year of rehab; Marcus has brought mobility and strength back in a safe way, I’m like 99% which I didn’t think would be possible, nor did the doctor - he said good bye to your climbing. Marcus and I have said no way bro.
We now strength / mobility train and at 51y, I’m stronger than 20 years ago. I use the gym 5 days a week, it’s my happy place. Sure it’s not your $100 a month luxury gym ; just bring your own towel and work out. Customer base is chill.

Herriman Vasa is hands down the best Vasa location I’ve been to! The cleanliness is unmatched—every area is well-maintained, and you can tell the staff takes pride in keeping the facility in top shape. Speaking of the staff, they are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. Special shout-out to Bri, who always goes above and beyond to make sure everyone feels taken care of. I was super excited to have a gym so close when I we moved to Herriman. However, the layout is so wonky, especially on the north side where they cram about 50% too many machines… I have a hard time finding my flow during any workout. Also, this gym is super crowded, ALL. DAY. LONG. I’ll be headed to the rec center in herriman or the EŌS in S Jordan from now on.
Staff is friendly/helpful though and it’s pretty clean as well.

Obviously price is hard to beat. Staff is friendly and no matter the time of early morning or lunch I’ve never had an issue with trying to fight for using equipment. However, something needs to be done about cleaning locker rooms, lockers themselves, showers, changing areas. I’ve been there long enough to see many public areas being ignored and it’s just gross. Not that hard for management to figure it out and I hope they do soon.

I wish I could write a good review. The Herriman VASA location is overcrowded and doesn’t have enough free weights. The poor machine layout that interferes with navigating the north side of the gym. The pool frequently has disgusting, cloudy water. Staff refuses to tighten one of the pool lane lines after I’ve made multiple requests. The loose lane line limits the number swimmers that can comfortably share the pool. I had to bring my own wrench to tighten the line.
As far as cleanliness goes, if you’re dying to experience the joys of ringworm, you might contract it multiple times within a six-month period, even if you wipe down equipment before and after using it, shower with soap after each workout and dry with a clean towel, then stop using equipment due to a ringworm infection and take weeks off from the gym to treat it, recover, and to avoid spreading it, and then decide to go back to the gym just to use the pool only to contract ringworm again from the pool, then this is the gym location for you!
I don’t know what the cleaning policy is, but I wonder if this location could use a few extra or more frequent cleanings of the equipment and more monitoring of the pool water and cleaning of the pool filter due to the facility’s abnormally high usage.

The restrooms are very unappealing, with some shower stalls missing showerheads. Trash cans are overfilled and not emptied regularly. The restrooms are dirty, the showers appear never to have been cleaned, and toilet paper litters the floor. The floors seem never to be mopped. There are no hand soap dispensers available at all. Additionally, the cable machines lack enough handles for users, and some equipment is in bad shape.
