Went to this location because I was visiting a friend in the area, we got there 45 minutes prior to closing. When we got in the front office staff were very adamant that we knew they were about to close. Halfway through our workout (about 20 minutes before listed closing) they started turning the lights off. On top of that they were missing single cable handles so I couldn’t use the wire machines. Then 5 minutes before posted closing they turned off every light, leaving us as well as several other people mid set completely in the dark (except 1 light by the front door). I understand wanting to close on time, but turning off lights while there are still people lifting seems very unprofessional and honestly a little dangerous. Likely will not be returning to this location

For anyone who has ever felt mistreated or pushed out of this gym, I want you to know something very important. When a business refuses to listen, there are ways to hold them accountable without shouting, without arguing, and without losing your peace. You fight quietly, with evidence and facts.
That is exactly what I did.
I filed an official complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). My case — Complaint ID 24057386 (Filed 10/24/2025) — is now part of VASA Fitness’s public BBB profile. Anyone can read it. Anyone can see how this company chose to respond. BBB marked it “Unresolved.” That means the business made no effort to correct the behavior or address the concerns.
For those who have been treated like a “number,” ignored, disrespected, or kicked out without reason — you are not alone. This gym hires very young front desk staff who often lack basic professionalism. If you have experienced the same, remember:
Stay calm. Stay polite. But document everything.
Screenshots, dates, times, interactions — evidence speaks louder than anything you could ever say.
I want people to know this because the gym environment is supposed to be a place of peace, not stress. Customers come here after long days, just wanting to work out. We deserve respect. We pay money for a service — we are not disposable.
If you ever face disrespect:
Be respectful. Be smart. Collect proof. And handle it through the right channels.
Your silence + your evidence = the strongest response.

I have been a member at this gym for a while, but recently, my experience has been extremely disappointing and concerning. I had an issue with an employee, Anel V, who refused to help me when I needed assistance. When I asked for help, he said I cant leave the desk while busy chatting with his friend ,since other employee was busy cleaning and mopping I didnt wanted to distract him ,but anyway other employee helped me out and when I just turned Mr Anel responded with "We got you" in a way that felt very threatening to me. When I told him I would report this to the general manager, he arrogantly replied, "I don’t care," which clearly shows the lack of professionalism and accountability among employees here.
I reported this incident to Molly, the general manager, who handled the immediate issue professionally and with respect. However, it seems like she does not fully understand what is actually happening inside the gym. How can a gym employee speak to a customer like that without facing serious consequences?
Since my complaint, Anel V and his large circle of friends have been making me uncomfortable by staring at me and whispering amongst themselves, which feels like targeted harassment. This type of behavior is unacceptable, as it disrupts focus, affects progress, and creates a hostile workout environment.All other employees are kind who are not in his friend circle.
Additionally, this behavior clearly violates VASA Fitness policies, which state:
"Harassment, foul language, threats, fights, and disruptive or threatening conduct will not be tolerated and will be grounds for removal from the club."
"Harassment, negative attitudes..." are strictly prohibited within the facility.
These policies exist to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all members—yet they are being completely ignored here. How can members feel safe when an employee and his friends gang up on customers, intimidate them, and make them feel targeted?
I strongly urge management to take serious action and enforce their own policies. Until then, I cannot recommend this gym to anyone who values a safe and harassment-free environment.

They’re a bunch of scammers. They told me if I did Personal Training I could cancel at any time, but now they’re saying it’s $800 to buy out the remaining sessions and it auto renews after 3 months. I’ve tried to call customer support multiple times to cancel auto renewal and see if they can help with cancellation of my personal training. After waiting over half an hour they said they would call back and never did, I waited half an hour again and they just hung up on me. Terrible business

Love coming here and feeling invisible the second I walk through the door the staff are experts at pretending customers don’t exist. No hellos, no goodbyes… it’s like a social experiment in how little effort you can put into basic manners.
And the trainers? Inspiring! Nothing like paying for motivation from people who look like they gave up on fitness a long time ago. Truly a unique approach to the fitness industry.

Hold on to your wallet! These guys will find any reason to bill you extra. My wife and I cancelled via the app. I called the next day to make sure the cancellation went through. Mine did. My wife's didn't. She didn't call to verify cancellation. Come to find out she owed them another $185 because the app didn't cancel her membership like it is supposed to.
The pool, sauna, steam room are filthy!

Restrooms are so dirty, smell pee all over. Some of the machines are dirty even they are kinda new. Girl on the front desk is checking her cellphone. She does not care about it
UPDATE: I am leaving this Vasa Gym .I forgot my boxing gloves and wraps in this gym, as soon as get home, I called back the same night. I asked to front desk customer service if they found a pair of boxing gloves with wraps, they informed me YES, so I decided to pick them up next day after work because it was about 8 pm late. Next day the front desk guy was not able to find them my belongings in lost and found area. The manager tossed them out to the trash. They tried to recovered up but they were deep. Manager asked me for my phone number and name. She NEVER CALL ME ME BACK AT LEAST TO SAY SORRY. I AM LEAVING THIS GYM DUE TO LACK OF TRANSPARENCY AND THE SHORTEST AMOUNT OF WEIGHTS AND MACHINES. LUCKY IF YOU FIND ONE.SO MANY PEOPLE, MACHINES AND DUMBELLS CLASSES ARE NOT ENOUGH AND WORTHY.

I absolutely love this gym! It’s spacious, great atmosphere & great equipment. However, the reason I gave it 3 stars is because I do feel they need to invest in more cycling bikes. They only have 1 and it’s super old. As a girlie who loves cycling for warm-ups & leg days, cycling bikes are a NECESSITY. At least 3-4 would be amazing!!

I'm giving a 2 star the equipment has been good I just barely got a membership but I came in about 45 min before closing and at about 30 min before closing the staff turned off all the TV's and music we pay for all amenities and the one guy in front of me even said "hey" basically asking for them to be left on the staff didn't even bat an eye at it and kept turning everything off like I said we pay for all the amenities for our work outs not to feel rushed and pushed out the door before closing time

I’m a twelve year old and went to go workout with my dad as a guest pass and you now have to have a valid ID. I am annoyed because of this. They expect a 12 year old to have his School ID. Vasa you just lost a customer. Great machines though and very clean nice gym. That is the only reason I gave five stars.

This company is a scam. I signed up for a membership for two people, when it came time, I canceled the account through the app. They found the loophole and kept an active membership for The second member, and they withdrew money from my account for many months. I changed my debit card and without me knowing they sent me to collections and to a recovery attorneys office. Everything is handled by a third-party, nobody can give you any answers about anything, or help you solve your situation that they got you in! Scam artists!!!

Just had the worst experience at Vasa (Centennial). I canceled my membership sometime last year because I wasn’t going. Today I decided to back but wanted a day to determine what membership I wanted, so I signed up for the one day pass. I got to the gym and they said I couldn’t use it because I was pervious member. If this was the case then they should’ve disclosed that during the sign up of the trial pass instead of having me drive all the way to the location. I paid for a one day pass since I was already there but will be going to EOS because of the lack of customer service.

Bad customer service I went to the sauna for 15 minutes and I took off my shirt so as not to get wet, when I got out my clothes were not there, I went to the front desk to see if anyone had delivered them and there was nothing,, I asked them to please check in the cameras to see who took it and see if they stole it or maybe somebody was jocking or maybe someone who might be still getting ready in the bathroom thinking on deliver the t-shirt when he o she get off, see what really happened and they denied to help me, they told me that I had to fill out a report of incident so that way rhe Corp security department could check the cameras later, for me.was a terrible answer, I had to leave the gym without my shirt as if nothing had happened.

Josh (Vasa maintenance staff) is Extremely Amazing at Fixing absolutely everything in the Vasa Building. If it wasn’t for him… Vasa Fitness would Literally Fall apart. I have seen him fix Multiple things. Treadmills, Aquatic Areas, Drinking Fountains, and even Paint Walls and Doors. And not only does he Fix Everything… But he is the Most Friendliest Staff there is. I feel as if Staff Leadership don’t give him the Upmost Respect he Absolutely deserves. I personally don’t know him… But I see him Everyday Making me Feel at home. Josh is Just an Amazing Human Being Overall. I had to Quietly ask for his name just so I can praise him Specifically on a Job will done. The Rest of the Staff is Great… but he goes Above and Beyond. I love this gym. The staff are amazingly friendly. They greet me and talk to me like my friends. The personal trainers are always willing to help me when I have a question with no pressure to buy training, they just want to help. The group fitness instructors make class fun, my favorite is STUDIO and High Low. And on top of all that, there is always a leader at the front desk helping or on the floor cleaning. It has been one of the best experiences I have had in any gym.

Nice gym. Crooked company. I was in town temporarily for work and wanted to stay fit. Told the front desk and they offered a 2 month deal waiving sign on and cancellation fees. So long as I quit by the 2 month mark.
Go to cancel and suddenly "we don't waive cancellation fees, it's in your contract". In addition there's a 30 day notification rule otherwise they charge you an additional month. The company refused to acknowledge or do anything about the promises made by desk staff when I checked in.
Long story short: don't listen to the employees, read the fine print, and the company doesn't care whatever favors the staff tried to do for you.

This gym is totally fine for working out in; however, this gym is extremely dirty.
The equipment and facilities all seem neglected and there is caked on dirt, grime, and dust in all of the not easily accessible locations of the equipment and facilities. The presence of this dirt and grime shows a lack of diligence to the owners and managers of the location. I understand how this occurs and a review should be completed of the cleaning process to ensure that all portions of the equipment see proper maintenance, including cleaning. It might seem trivial but this detail speaks a lot about the overall care of the business. If the equipment is clean the equipment is usually safe and well taken care of. If the equipment is clean the precieved quality of the gym goes up. Equipment that is functional but dirty is unacceptable.
The facilities are also often dirty and caked with grime. The mens locker room is disgraceful and I fear contracting a disease from the bench or floors. The floors and bathrooms often have standing water and piss everywhere. I wish that it was acceptable to take photos of the inside of the locker rooms so that this could be added for evidence.
This location also seems to have plenty of staff as almost every time I have been there has been 3-5 people behind the counter chatting. When these people are chatting I see nobody walking the gym floor or spot cleaning.
I believe that this location has the resources and the ability to turn this review around and I would love to see this happen.
I would love the team to really consider this review and also take a look at other gyms. A field trip to a couple of planet fitness locations could be beneficial as they seem to have good operations and the equipment seems to be much cleaner in general.

Jacob at the West Valley location is a bad ass and has a great attitude about what he does . There was a lot of mud in the men’s bathroom naturally from the weather and people coming in and out with work boots on (it happens.) While I was in the hot tub area I asked Jacob if he could have someone mop it up, not right in that moment, but when he or someone else had time. Jacob jumped on it immediately and went and mopped up the men’s locker room, which, in my opinion says a lot about his pride of a job well done and what he does working for vasa. This gym also has everything you need to get in shape, invest in your health, and work towards your fitness goals at a competitive price!!

Suzie taught on another amazing Studio Red class. Every single class she comes in with enthusiasm and shows that she cares. She comes prepared. Their customer service sucks. It's almost impossible to get someone to help you with your account. And if you decide to cancel Goodluck with that. They transfer you around a to a million people until you give up. Then when you do get through they stack a cancellation fee on you. I recommend EOS gym or any other gym besides vasa.

I’ve been coming to this gym for the past 5 years I’ve never had an issue with the staff but for the first time ever I walked in yesterday to a newer employee up at the reception desk he had glasses and longish brown hair , I scanned my app and right away he called me back as I went back he proceeded to claim false accusations saying the account wasn’t mine that the girl and I were sharing the same account .. I was stunned in confusion as to what he meant by “the other girl “ and immediately got irritated and had to clarify it was me , when he finally realized it was my account after verifying my birthday he just said i was “good” and didn’t even apologize for the false accusation or the embarrassment I had to surpass due to the incident . I tried working out after this occurred but I was too annoyed and left after 30 minutes needless to say I switched gyms , They need to train their employees to take a better approach on people if they feel like certain members are doing that not right off the bat make assumptions with no proof at the end of the day people don’t pay so much a year to get harassed .

This location is going downhill fast. The pool is always frigid and the aqua teacher is losing her class to other locations with a warm pool. I should not have chattering teeth by the end of a pool workout. The front desk staff do not care about anything. I went to tell them there was no hot water for the showers and he told me it’s been out for a while. When I told him a sign would be nice, he back pedaled and said it goes in and out and maintenance can’t figure it out. I am close to canceling my membership all together. I love to come to the aqua aerobics class on Tuesday even though I live far away, the teacher is excellent !!! But most likely I won’t come because the water in the pool is very cold, also I noticed that less and less people are coming to the class because of the water temperature, the aqua aerobics is a class that a lot of seniors attend with a variety of health problems like myself, and cold water is not good, please can you fix this issue!!!

El gym ea desgastado, el.personal no cumple con los horarios, hace un una semana tuve un entrenamiento de presentación con cita previo y no había el personal calificado, me dijeron que no habi nadie y me tuve que ir porque no había nada que hacer, ahora mi membresía dice que puedo llevar acompañantes y no lo dejaron dentrar y dijeron que tiene que pagar $15.00 por cada visita. Was looking for a local gym during my two week visit. Got told it was $15 on the phone. Walked in and was told it was $105, 15 to start the membership, which is the most deceptive bait and switch I’ve ever had. I’m sure the facility is nice, didn’t make it past the desk though.
*edit- I eventually called again to figure out where the disconnect was and was walked through the hoops to get a short term membership. The facility itself is decent, way crowded in the afternoon, good equipment, I’d expect weight belts and dip belts at the price, but otherwise not bad.

I went there with my active and fit form to finish signing up with them and the front staff had no idea what to do. They made me feel like I was stupid and that I didn’t do the right thing. Also being completely brand new to Utah I had never been to a VASA or heard of them. They didn’t offer to give a tour or anything. Very rude and incompetent staff. In short I switched gyms immediately and will not be going back to any VASA establishment.

I like this gym. Been going here for eight years.I am disappointed in the fact they finally opened up kidcare again just to close it again. For someone who is a stay at home mom, I really needed the help. Now I have to drive an extra 10-15 minutes further to go to the crapper west valley one where half their equipment doesnt work or even has weight stickers on the machines. Not only is this an inconvenience on me, but all the other parents who utilize the kidcare. Please re open the kidcare. They had plenty of kids and staff.

I signed up specifically for studio for two reasons.
1- To utilize the studio classes as they claimed you could bring a guest. Welp, that ended quickly. They encourage you to bring friends to fill the classes and have fun! Buuutttt really it’s to push them to get their own studio membership (even though you pay for guest services )…. I just canceled my guest services and stopped going to studio because I’m not going to play their little game. It’s all a money grab.
2- I also signed up for studio to get the kidcare and utilize the time for my child to socialize and I could finally workout without worry. (Post partum mommy). We’ve been coming for a year now and my daughter LOVES the kidcare and employees. It took MONTHS for her to not cry when I left. They are now closing the kidcare at this location out of the blue even though it’s busy all the time. They claim they care about their members yet could care less pushing us into another facility that’s further away to utilize kidcare. Now we have to start all over with the process of getting to know the gym and employees. Not to mention more gas to get there. Or we’re forced to merely cancel our membership because we don’t have anywhere for our kid to go. It’s all about money. Petitions and voicing your concerns don’t get you anywhere. I truly hope this location (centennial) loses so much money by closing their kidcare.

This is for Vasa Centenniel in West Valley. The only reason I gave it a 1 is because I can’t give it a zero. This will be the 5th time I have asked to have another 24 hours news station put on one of the TVs in front of the cardio machines. I asked the front end manger in person… nothing happened; a week or so later I asked one of the staff members who tried but messed up the tv somehow and couldn’t figure out the remote control; a couple months later I emailed, corporate responded but nothing happened; a week later I replied to email that nothing happened, still nothing has happened from that. ALL I am asking is that if they are going to keep Fox News on (a news station that lost $700 million for reporting lies) at least have another 24 hour news station on as well. It makes me sick to my stomach to do cardio and see Fox News spread their lies. I never asked that Fox News be taken off because I knew some people like that. I just asked for another option to be available. THIS IS NOT A BIG ASK… HONESTLY, how hard is it to change the station on one tv. At this point it’s just resistance and defiance from management, what other explanation can there be.

I love being able to be part of the membership of this gym! I have no complaints. Coach Ayrial is great! She always takes care of us and trains excellently, I feel confident with her! The very friendly staff and all the servers are always in a good mood to give us their cardio classes! From red studio Erika and ayrial are my favorites!

This gym is absolutely packed out no matter what time you go. This is not an overstatement. I have yet to go to this Vasa and not wait on almost every piece of equipment I need to get a workout in including dumbbells. The treadmills would be the only thing I would say I can consistently find a spot on right when I’m ready to use one but I’ve even had times when those are all filled up. Typical wait times for equipment is 5-10 minutes. It’s hard to keep a pump and intensity up when you’re adding 30-45 minutes of just waiting for equipment.
I pay for the minimum membership so I can’t comment on the cleanliness of the steam room, sauna and pool. I don’t use the locker room either. The gym feels clean to me and they have wipes for everyone to use and consistently make sure that the bins stay filled.
Unfortunately the culture is not great at this Vasa. I think most people are probably newer to lifting which is great that they are in the gym being healthy but there are a lot of groups that work out and just hang out around the equipment. Lots of people just have their headphones on and just hang out on their phones. Very few people offer to let you work in with them. Everyone is in their own world. Not trying to rag on people but I think the gym has too many members to be able to keep a good culture. And Vasa doesn’t require a gym etiquette course to be a member of the gym.
The staff is always friendly when I enter and exit but that’s really my only experience with them.
In conclusion the other gyms in the area may be a better option than this location.

The grossest most unwell kept gym with the most rude management.
They will stop you in the middle of your workout to check that your not lying about your membership, they won't cancel my membership or give me a refund for all the stuff they haven't fixed for 6 months or more. I will have to PAY to cancel with these guys and I still won't have gotten a good workout or a nice steam room or clean pool. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Feel I need to update my review here in 2024. I've had an active membership, and trainer contact at this location since July of 2019, and until recently everything I say in the below, original review is still true, except recently the management, either of this location specifically or higher up, made a decision that has resulted in one of the more important (to me at least) services available to me as a part of that trainer contact, and was sold explicitly as a part of that contract when I first signed up, would no longer be made available. So I'm now paying the same amount per month for that contract, and only getting half of the access I was originally paying for. Attempting to appeal to the manager was met with a "there's nothing I can do" type of reaction. So dropping the rating down to 1 star, and unless I can get some resolution from management I will be terminating my contracts
Started working with a trainer at this location some time ago and the experience has always been great. Ana is always positive and focused during sessions. Adam knows how far to push me to help me keep making steady progress. The rest of the staff are friendly and inviting.

This place was the most discussing gym I’ve ever been to. No soap in the bathrooms, showers, or showers to rinse in after the sauna before getting into the hot tub. Weights a mess, machines in shawty condition. I’d pick another place. I went for 3 days and they charged me over $50 for the unpleasant experience.
