The space that has been built here is a truly beautiful one, and the teachers put on one hell of a show. Those that are here for the right reasons are some of the best people you will encounter.
However, despite the shiny lights and attractive classes, I believe that behind it all lies some intense wrong that's being swept under the rug and silenced.
In my opinion, I do not believe women are safe in this environment. As a husband, I do not feel comfortable with my wife teaching or practicing here, and would express immense concern to anyone I knew considering doing the same.
The below response is an attempt to scare people that are voicing the truth about what is really happening. There is no upside for me to post a review telling people to protect themselves, apart from those people taking their own safety into account, and being aware of what they are getting themselves into. I am NOT a disgruntled former employee. I have never been employed by this company. I am the husband of someone who was HARMED. It is NOT illegal to post an opinion! This post IS part of a concerted and intentional effort... to keep people safe.

I have tried quite a few yoga classes from various teachers and studios. Although many were well-intentioned, I was not particularly a fan of their advocacy of New Age practices such as crystal healing or bizarrely restrictive diets. As coincidence would have it, I stumbled upon Scholé per a friend's reference during a conversation regarding what I considered "woo-woo" trends. All I initially heard of Scholé was that it was different, and different it was.
Scholé was, in large part, where I learned yoga did not have to be some monetized form of cultural tourism. It could be something that held practical applications; applications that were able to be easily understood, applied, and practiced in an entertaining way. Scholé worked to provide a beautifully crafted methodology that combined meaningful introspection with eclectic modernism, and I would say it succeeded in that regard. I have yet to experience another place where I can hype it up with the storytelling of Macklemore one day and be hypnotized by the entrancing solemnity of Banks the next, all the while learning more and more of myself in the quiet moments of clarity.
It was here that I found some of the warmest, wisest, and kindest individuals I have ever met. As it should be, for a sanctuary that intends to heal the soul cannot demand any less. Sadly, in this environment of wellness and contemplation, there were those who sought to take advantage of others in this haven of healing— the tapestries of light and sound camouflaging behaviors which I found, to be blunt, quite repulsive.
I learned a lot from Scholé, both of myself and other people. It was a home away from home that I will always remember fondly for the works and connections it has produced. But over the weeks and months of quiet observation, my delight and captivation slowly transitioned into unease and discomfort. Scholé eventually became a place where I no longer felt safe and at ease. How could I feel secure if I knew those around me were not truly safe?
I had my own personal intuition that was telling me something was not quite right about certain individual(s), but I ignored it. I wanted to believe that it was a false alarm, that everyone was equally deserving of the privilege of trust and warmth. Sadly, I was mistaken, and I will always hold a measure of shame and guilt in my inability to do more to assist those that needed help the most.
We like to believe that great works of art and skill originate from great, upstanding people, but that is not always the case. The pieces that move you can be painted by ethically dubious, if not downright morally compromised, individuals.
There was indeed a beautiful practice here, but as beautiful as the art is, one has to separate the art from the artist. If you do come here, listen to your intuition— chances are it is probably right.

Worried for the women there.
I have been to this studio twice, and after getting an intuitive feeling that something was off in a way that I haven’t experienced at other studios, I took my practice elsewhere. In spite of the incredible ambiance of the studio space, I was turned off by the over-sexualization of the experience and by the owner’s objectification of women. Most of the staff were well-meaning and friendly, but I would not want my mother, daughter, sister, female friends near the owner Micah.

I have been attending this yoga studio for about two months and I have had such a great experience so far! As someone who has never done yoga, I was worried I would be out of my element, but that has not been the case at all! They have been extremely welcoming. If you are looking to get into yoga, or to simply have a space where you can relax I highly recommend this studio. Having a space where I can dedicate an hour or so of my day to simply stretch and focus on my breath has done wonders on my stress levels. If you’re thinking of signing up for a class, I suggest signing up for Haileys class Wednesday’s at 8:00PM. Everything from her playlist to the way she teaches the class is 11/10

Great class! Just for a drop in before the show at Kilby Court was perfect. Everything was clean and the shower was amazing. The instructors were challenging, kind, and friendly. I would come back everyday if I lived here!

I love this studio! The experience that is created in each and every class is truly unique. I love the dark, but fun and creative lighting. I love how they focus on how yoga feels for your individual body. There is always a great music soundtrack to every class. There is a great community of people surrounding this place that are wonderful! That by far is the best part, you always have support to be better! Thank you!

I’ve been going here for about a month now, and I absolutely love it! The lights are dim and there are no mirrors, and it makes it easy for even an out of shape yogi like me to have an amazing experience. Everyone is so nice, and the instructors take the time to know your name and ask you about your practice. The best part? You get all of this unlimited for half the price you’d get for a mediocre experience just about anywhere else—which is awesome for students and really everyone! So happy to be apart of the community now!

I’ve been a member of Scholé for several months now and I absolutely love it. The flow of each class is unlike any other yoga that I’ve experienced prior to Scholé. I feel both challenged in class and safe to practice how I feel is best for me. My favorite class to go to is Han’s Refresh. His classes are unique because he lets the music speak and let’s the rest follow which has allowed me to have the best yoga practices I’ve ever had.

This studio provides an incredible yoga and fitness experience. Each instructor teaches in their own unique way so each class has a different feel. All of the instructors are great but if you get a chance to experience one of Han's classes he will take you on a journey of body and mind that might just change your life.

Schole is the best yoga studio I've ever been to! The studio is innovatively unique, and the instructors are well educated, therefore you can trust that you are in good hands throughout your entire practice. I would highly recommend trying a class from Micah (the owner of Schole) or Han (a highly experienced yoga instructor)!

I’ve been attending this studio for nearly six months. Scholé style yoga was introduced to me by a friend in the teacher training program here. Now I can never take another yoga class the same. The hands-on connection and the cold towel towards the end of class are my favorite. The staff at Scholé are beyond welcoming as well as professional. Always very genuine/personal. I’ve never felt excluded or uncomfortable. I’ve been really fortunate in my experience of sharing my yoga journey with such a special community.
Micah’s Strong class is exceptional if you’re ready to be challenged beyond physical. You’re going to sweat! Ashely’s Refresh and Alyssa’s Ignite are also amazing. I’m always impressed by the detail the teachers put into their practice. Leaving me feeling like a new human being each time I leave.
Thank you Scholé community for all your dedication and hard work keeping this studio a beautiful space for healing and growth.

Awesome yoga but unfortunately professionalism is lacking. The owner on multiple occasions asked to "hang out" with the younger girls paying and taking the yoga classes at the studio. Leaving multiple young women uneasy about returning to the studio. Aside from that, inappropriate comments on appearance and unwanted touching( during yoga session) . This review is not meant to be malicious. But to be taken seriously. As a women, you should feel safe and able to go to a yoga studio without being uncomfortable, harassed or be subject to sexual objectification. It is truly unfortunate, the studios yoga sessions are awesome but I know for myself and another female that we will not be returning based on the behavior we received from Micah the owner.

The perfect blend of modern and traditional yoga. I’ve been practicing yoga for almost 15 years and teaching for 10. This is hands down THE best yoga experience you will ever find; and not only in Utah, the best you will find anywhere. I’ve been fortunate enough to practice yoga all over the world and this is an experience unlike any other. Obviously it’s going to be unique and different from what people believe “yoga” to be but the more often you submerge yourself into this space you will soon learn the true teachings of yoga and be able to live a life full of all the benefits it has to offer you. Learning from Micah is probably one of the greatest gifts you could receive as a student of yoga, he is a true yogi and a scholar so blending the two into his teaching is quite a work of art. Take Sunday Deep from him and prepare to have your entire life changed for the better.

Scholé helped me to not only fall in love with yoga, but to also fall in love with myself. Low, moody lighting and mirrorless studio walls really allow you to focus on yourself and your mat. Free flow sequencing is a mix of technical yoga postures + encouraged intuitive movement backed by great music... How could you go wrong? The staff makes a clear point to get to know every single person who walks through their doors by name, creating an immediate sense of community and making all people who come to practice here feel right at home. Scholé has become a second home to me over the past year and a half and is the community I didn't know was missing from my life. Forever grateful 🙌 Get your butt down to Scholé!

I have been attending Schole Yoga for over a year. 🙂 I joined on a total whim. And it has become a daily practice that has totally changed my life. Not only is my body stronger, my mind is calm + focused, I am kinder + more patient. The instructors have become trusted friends who greet me every day with a smile. As well as those who share their practice with me. I feel very honored to be a part of this community. And I hope it continues to grow and flourish. I gush daily about my practice. And recommend this studio to anyone who happens to have a conversation. I am here about six times a week. My only complaint -- no later classes on Fridays. But fine, ok, have a social life.., I guess. 😘

I loved this place! My friend and I dropped in from out of state. The owner knew everyone’s name and made it a point to make a connection with each of the members. He remembered our names and made us feel like part of the community. He is very clear in his instruction and is genuinely passionate about his practice. I will definitely be back next time I am in town.

I would give 0 stars if I could. It pains me to give this studio such a lousy rating. This studio space was indeed something special; this was made possible by previous teachers and members. Out of respect for innocent teachers I refrained from leaving a poor review.
That said, I need people to know that if you choose to go to this studio, you need to be careful and wary of the owner Micah Scholes.
I watched him seduce several women, and he has no regard to morals which I found counterintuitive to a yoga studio where you are trying to heal both your body and soul.
People just aren't here to workout, you go to a gym or fitness studio for that. Yoga studios allow us to have experiences of stillness and finding answers. Those that attend this studio, especially classes from Micah are mostly getting a counterfeit experience.
I have to be anonymous because I fear for my own safety, I wish I could leave my name.

This place was pretty awesome. Teachers and students were super welcoming. The atmosphere was a bit disorienting at first, but it is definitely something I would recommend to anyone. Make sure and check their website for class schedules as the google search doesn’t necessarily reflect it accurately.

I enjoyed the variety and freedom that Micahs class provided. They truly push you to find your own flow, but gave you a unique outline. The studio itself was unlike any I have been too. Very calm atmosphere, no mirrors, just you in a circle with a bunch of yogis finding flow. Micah, Brittany, and Bailey were all very welcoming and accommodating definitely give this place a go.

I am head over heels in love with this studio. It has become a place of comfort and acceptance for me and I am consistently blown away by their amazing staff. I've taken the most classes taught by Amanda and Shannon and they are beyond magical. I never feel judged, they always remember who I am, and you can tell they truly care about your yoga experience with them. I have forced everyone I care about to a class and they have all thanked me and want to come again and again. Thank you so much, Scholé.

I stopped in here on my way through town. I absolutely loved it. If you ever wanted to try yoga, but were nervous here is the place to go. Staff was friendly, welcoming and the focus was on the yoga. Dark room and no mirrors make it easy to not feel self conscious while exploring the practice. I will be back.

Scholé yoga is an immersive experience. I had the opportunity to attend a "strong" sessions with Madison. As a lifelong athlete and frequent yogi I have to admit, I was blown away. Madison did an amazing job of creating an ambience and taking the energy level to exactly where it needed to be for each part of the session. The class was a ton of fun. It was reflective, and pushed me both mentally and physically.
More than that they have a sensory deprivation tank on site. If you're into mindfulness. This is an absolute must.

This is the most fun Ive ever had doing yoga, Its not your typical boring class where youre surrounded by mirrors and feel the pressure of everyone looking at you. Its an exciting atmosphere that keeps you moving, sweating and feeling great, calm and free throughout. They alternate between upbeat music that have different lighting accompany the beats and then wind you down with a nice soothing music to help you distress and relax. You HAVE to try it out. LOVE LOVE LOVED it

I've been doing yoga for a long time in my short life, and this is the first studio I've felt compelled to review in several years. I really appreciated the unique lighting, the elevated heat, and the lack of mirrors. I also enjoyed how the teachers emphasized positioning of the students so we were watching faces and not butts. The whole experience, while definitely experimental, felt emotionally and physically genuine. On top of that, the Strong class was more fitness-enhancing that any power class I've ever been too. Check this place out!
