Welcome! Since 2001 Burlington Yoga has offered classes from Beginner, and Gentle Restorative; to the more vigorous Flow style classes that invite you to explore your limits. We are a teaching studio, for 200/300/500 hour trainings. You will find a spectrum of levels in every class. We are are all students and we are all teaching each other.
Our instructors are Yoga Alliance certified and are passionately committed to the authentic teachings and practice of traditional Hatha Yoga. We believe in the precepts of service, loving kindness, and building community. We are here to serve you and to share our love and enthusiasm for this amazing practice. Yoga is an amazing method for self-discovery, mindfulness, and healing. Open to All!

No frills, straightforward casual yoga studio. We took a yoga flow class. It was pretty simple and good for starters. Nice and calming spot.

The space was comfortable and open. My instructor (Emily, I believe) was very welcoming, professional, and helpful. Booked a class 30 min prior - process was very easy. Loved stopping in for a class while visiting town!

Beautiful well maintained socially distant friendly practice space. Pairs well with welcoming and well trained staff. I immediately felt at ease here. Very easy to book and pay online, no hassles when you go for your session you just set up your mat and don't have to worry about paperwork or money. The music during class is just right.

I've always felt intimidated to try out yoga classes, not only because of my extreme inflexibility, but also because I was worried that I wouldn't fit in. But Burlington Yoga has really turned things around for me.
When quarantine started, I was on the hunt for ways to stay in shape while staying safely at home. I saw that this studio was offering online classes, and since I was aiming to support local businesses as much as possible, I decided to give this place a try.
This is the first yoga studio I've been to where I've been motivated to keep going after the first class. All of the instructors are so nice, and not only made me feel welcome, but also made me feel that it was great that I was just trying to do my best to hit each of the poses, rather than unintentionally making me feel embarrassed for not being very flexible.
More Highlights:
- Lots of pose modifications shown for different skill levels
- Easy to schedule / manage classes and class passes
- Instructors are available to answer questions outside of class if you have any
- Zoom classes make me feel more like I'm part of something than when I'm watching a Youtube channel by myself
Lastly: I've had to miss a couple classes for health-related reasons. In each instance, the instructors surprised me by personally checking in with me to make sure that I was ok, saying that they missed me in class, and wanting to know if there was anything that they could do to help.
The times we're in are weird and new and can feel pretty lonely. So it was a wonderful surprise to find a sense of community and belonging and personal strength in a place where I might not have looked before.

I was in Burlington for the weekend and tried this spot for a Saturday morning yoga practice - yoga for runners. It was fantastic! The class had a nice flow. It was challenging but slow enough forward a strong focus on form, alingment, and deep stretches. The instructor was great too. She asked at the beginning of class what people wanted to focus on and worked those areas into the practice. Definitely looking forward to going again whenever I'm back in the area!

Took a class here while I was visiting in Burlington. The class was one of the best I have ever attended. The pace, playlist, environment, cues, and assists were great. Sarah delivered eloquent instruction that was both alignment-based and palatable to hear. Beautiful!

I love this studio. Was hooked from the first candlelight flow class with Malaika - since then I've attended and enjoyed a wide range of classes. Many options, all very highly skilled and knowledgeable teachers. Also love the prostrations, yoga nidra and vata balancing workshops too, check these out. I've moved away from the area and the thing that I miss the most about BTown is this yoga studio, organized and led by the unbelievable Piper - will visit again ASAP !

I want to say at the start that I am new to yoga. Really new. So I am not qualified to comment on the comparative merits of this studio with other places around the world (or even Burlington). That said, I'm a professional voice teacher and have done numerous workshops on Alexander Technique, body work and so forth. I know a lot about pedagogy, customer service, and the concept of creating a safe working environment. With that preamble let me say that Burlington Yoga is a perfect and magical place.
I had been afraid to start yoga. I put it off for years. Chandra (Piper) made me feel like I could be successful. Deb and Emily have been so generous with their time and instruction. I can't believe it's been so rewarding. I would go everyday if I could and I can't believe the difference the work I've done so far has made in my sense of physical and mental well being. If you are looking for a new studio I would encourage you to give it a try. It is a wonderful environment with wonderful people. I look forward to working with the whole team and want to say with out reservation that the private lessons and the group beginner sessions will be a perfect way for people who are new to yoga and want to discover its power.

My yoga practice has grown so much since coming to BY. Before coming here, I had not known proper body alignment---even for basic postures. The teachers at BY have profound knowledge of alignment and body mechanics. They are very receptive to their students and the hands on adjustments are safe and effective. I find that I learn something new every time I practice . I am grateful for this studio!

This studio rocks, enough said! Perfect for both complete beginners as well as advanced practitioners. I had never done yoga before coming here, and I quickly fell in love with yoga and this studio in the most organic way possible.The environment at BY is extremely welcoming and all the instructors are highly knowledgeable and aware of the human body. You won't regret checking this place out.
