We have something for everyone, including small-group training, 1:1 coaching and even virtual options for our non-local friends. Whenever you're ready to join this awesome community, we're here and we're ready.

I feel so lucky to have found Emerge. I've always had a hard time finding a gym environment I feel comfortable in, but Kate and Muhammed foster one unlike any other. The workouts are varied, creative, and challenging in the best way, and also accommodate injuries & other limitations of which I've had my fair share. I feel stronger than I have in a long time and as a bonus, found an incredible community of people that I'm very thankful to be a part of. Really can't recommend Emerge enough, it's the absolute best!

Kate and Muhammed have cultivated such a wonderful community at Emerge. Workouts are challenging, flexible, and most importantly, so much fun. I couldn’t be luckier to have come across Emerge802. It’s the type of gym that makes me feel held up by a community of people who care about fitness and engaging with each other in genuine and beautiful ways! The class structure is awesome, appropriately challenging, and very well rounded. This is functional fitness at its finest. Emerge has been the highlight of my summer. As a current college tennis player I knew I needed to find a good way to stay in shape this summer, and I find it extremely helpful to workout in a group. Kate and Muhammed’s group classes are excellent. Unlike many typical gym settings, I am so excited to come and workout at Emerge each day. These workouts have significantly improved my strength, speed and balance. I now know new ways to prevent injury and improve my mobility.
In addition to the physical health benefits of Emerge I have had so much fun. The community within Emerge is like no other place. The people here are the best, and the energy is great. Vermont is lucky to have this amazing gym.

I've trained with Kate since before Covid--working on fitness, weight loss, diet, and regaining mobility after injuries. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Kate. She's a knowledgeable coach/trainer, a kind source of encouragement, and you'll find that she becomes a valued friend, as well. I work with Kate over Zoom, but I hope to get up to the new Emerge gym someday. I'm sure it's a welcoming space, just based on its excellent staff, Kate and Mohemmed!

Kate is doing a great job in helping me to increase my balance and eliminate tennis, skiing and general old age aches and pains. Kate comes with a plan and makes the sessions challenging, varied and fun. I'm seeing positive improvements after only a few months, so I'm a true believer in her approach. Like many of the other reviewers I'm so glad I met Kate and I actually look forward to our sessions and appreciate the feedback.

As I'm getting older I knew I needed to add some strength training to my routine and am so glad I discovered Kate/Emerge! Kate has helped me tremendously, not just with strength but with understanding the importance of adding in mobility training. The work we've done over the past year was key in helping me achieve one of the hardest gravel bike rides I've ever done.
The community Kate has created is supportive and motivating - it's not just the work we do in the gym, Kate creates opportunities for us to do fun activities together, regularly checks in, and keeps me accountable. Kate's inclusive and welcoming classes are always creative and fun. 10/10 recommend Emerge!

Kate is an amazing instructor. She researches and introduces exercises that target joints and adjacent/supporting muscles throughout the body. Each session contains some familiar and some newer exercises, with explanations and options for stepping up/down the intensity. What a discovery to find her. I hope she never leaves this area!

Kate is the best trainer I have ever worked with. I’ve tried everything for my chronic hip pain for 10+ years, from physical therapy to yoga, to no avail, and Kate’s mobility and strength classes have helped more than anything I’ve ever done in the past. She listens and often adjusts her classes based on your feedback, and will help correct you when needed in a way that makes you better, not just focused on perfect form. I used to have no idea what I was doing at the gym and Kate has given me the confidence and the knowledge to go and do my own workouts. She is so knowledgeable, so understanding, and so creative in her work and you really see the results the more you work with her. After about 2 years of working with her, I feel like I am stronger and more mobile than I’ve ever been.

Kate is a gem! First of all, she really listens and values that you are an expert on your body. She gently pushes me to do my best using my strength with positive coaching and encouragement. Kate in an amazing trainer! She is personable, knowledgeable, and good at her job. She knows how to design a program that meets your needs, when to push you forward and when to just help you get through the day. I really appreciate her attention to the why of the exercise (don't just rep with a barbell to say you can do x reps, get strong so you can pick up your kid more easily!). Kate and I have been working together remotely now for several years, and I am always impressed how effective her routines are. She'll work with your individual set up to make sure you're getting your best movements in. And if maybe a position needs a tweak, she'll give the right cues to help you adjust. No fooling her if you're being sloppy! If she's this good by computer, she's downright awesome in person!

I’m so grateful I found Kate’s classes! I knew I needed to incorporate more strength and mobility into my exercise routine. I have never felt comfortable in traditional gyms and was wary of fitness classes that were focused on body appearance. But I immediately felt comfortable in Kate’s classes. Not only is Kate a supportive and engaged coach who gives personalized and hands-on feedback, she has created a lovely community. I highly recommend her small group classes to anyone who is looking for a great workout, less pain and injury prevention, and a fun hour with new friends.

I have worked with Kate on and off for 10 years. The inconsistency was on my part. Kate keeps me coming back because she is authentic, knowledgeable, approachable and welcoming. I'm the least athletic soul and I somehow look athletic in her classes! She wants you to succeed and to be able to work out safely! If you are doing something incorrectly she will kindly explain how to adjust and why. I have often sent her links to health and wellness products to see if it's something I should be using. She will explain the pros and cons and explain if it's actually beneficial. Ex; collagen shakes are kind of silly for my lifestyle even though they were all the rage at the time. I get plenty from fruit and vegetables. I have learned a lot from her and I value the knowledge that I have gained. I am always encouraged by her enthusiasm to help people move better because life will just be happier and you can do more! Take a very athletic and "explosive" jump and call Kate!

I’ve been working with Kate for over a year and have never felt better! Before I moved to Burlington, I had reached out to her because she was doing a MTB training and I was going to miss some due to the move, so she sent me links to her Vimeo videos so I wouldn’t miss out. She’s always extremely attentive and is incredibly supportive in and out of the gym. I love Kate! As a trainer, obviously! Her energy and love of fitness/ movement is palpable and infectious. It's hard not to be energized and motivated to improve your fitness when training with her! Even when you feel a little burned out from all that you are doing, as I have occasionally been!
Kate plans really fun programs that kicks my butt. Not only that, they really work on your overall fitness... flexibility, ease of movement, and getting stronger. She really looks at your overall fitness, not just one part.
And Kate is really receptive to my ideas. One month, I was feeling really burned out and wanted a playground-type workout to kind of engage with my inner child. Kate made it happen. I like to say that I'm getting stronger because of Kate and despite my best efforts to the contrary sometimes.
What I appreciate about Kate too is that she is no pushover. No amount of whining will get you out of certain workouts, even if she'll listen to why you're griping about it. As an example, we are currently locked in battle over the need for me to do pushups. Don't tell her this, but she's winning the battle. 🤣🤣

My wife and I have been working with Kate (Emerge) for almost 3 months now, and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her program/classes. As former college athletes and avid outdoor recreation-ers, strength and mobility together have never been more important to us - - and Kate delivers on both.
