There are so many good things to say about Kula, but I'll start with the owner, Emily. What she's done with the space now known as Kula is really nothing short of spectacular. She worked unbelievably hard on transforming a gutted retail space into a state-of-the-art studio for not only yoga practice but also a wide variety of workshops and community events. Her mission to create a space for not just practicing postures but also for establishing a soulful community of people interested in developing embodied wisdom is so needed at the moment. Word is that she's rounded up quite a stable of teachers, too. Emily herself is wonderful, and today I attended a Sadhana class with Lainey that was sweet and paced with great care. Check out Kula now, and then you can say you were a Kula yogi back when it was young.

Kula is such a neighborhood treasure! They’ve got everything from comprehensive yoga practices to poetry readings to book club events -- and probably even more! The space is calm, clean, and beautiful. The props are very high quality and were thoughtfully curated. A huge bonus is that parking is convenient and plentiful, with a huge parking lot. I’m definitely getting a membership!

Kula is the new hot spot in SB! When you walk through the front doors, you feel an instant ability to take a deep breath and relax your shoulders, all before class even starts! The space is so warm, welcoming and everything I look for in a yoga studio. My first class was a slow flow & sound bath with Riley on a Sunday evening and was everything I was looking for to wind down from the weekend and gear up for Monday. HIGHLY recommend Kula, I'm looking forward to taking more classes, workshops, and hang in the social lounge :)
Way to go EMILY!!

FYI - this is definitely a REAL business so ignore Brandon's silly review below.

I was in town for a few days and took a lovely class with Emily. The class itself was well-paced with thoughtful transitions, clear cues, and creative sequencing. The space is warm and inviting, I can’t wait to come back!

A beautiful, welcoming, and inclusive studio ❤️ The variety of class styles is incredible, and the teachers are both knowledgeable and genuinely supportive. Beyond classes, the community and social events make it such a special place to connect. Prices are fair, with plenty of flexible membership options to fit different needs. Truly a wonderful addition to the Vermont yoga community!

Amazing classes and the cutest studio!! Went for the yoga but ended up trying a few of the fitness classes and I was more wiped out than expected! Their After Hours events are also so fun and a very special addition for a movement studio—definitely recommend trying one that looks interesting to you. Overall, definitely my favorite studio in Vermont!!!
