The EDGE is an amazing fitness community! I taught a pop-up class there, and everyone was so positive, welcoming, and full of energy. The staff and management were incredibly responsive to emails and easy to coordinate with, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. You can tell they truly care about creating a supportive environment for instructors and members alike. Five stars all the way!

Miss the weights, not a big pickle baller myself. Machines and free weights are limited now, used to be conveniently close so too bad. Sauna is nice tho!

I’m a new member here, but I love it so far. My physical therapy has just started and my therapist is very thorough and professional.

Perfect courts. Better sound dampening than most places. Once they fix the lights it will be close to perfect. They say they are fixing them soon

Loved this gym…but now the weight room and turf are now gone and converted into pickleball courts. The other facilities are either too crowded or just as small for training. Even though the equipment needed updating I didn’t mind. It’s reduced to a few tiny spaces and filling the mirror room with equipment was disappointing as well. Although the staff have always been very kind and I loved the sauna, I don’t believe there’s any point for me to renew my membership here. :(

The new renovation made this location less-than-ideal for anything but pickleball/tennis. The lifting equipment was moved to two tiny rooms in the back and it's very cramped/loud/smelly when busy. There are also a bunch of treadmills in those rooms and the constant sound of the treadmills combined with the echo of the room is grating. It's oppressive/exhausting in the same way that being out in a windy area or loud vehicle is. At least put some sound dampers up or something. Their solution is to go to the Eastwood location where there is more lifting space, but the lifting space there is now more busy because a lot of people have switched.

I've worked out in many fitness facilities in my life and this is the absolute best. It has deadlift, squat and weightlifting platforms as well as cardio, free weights, tires, punching bags, personal training, locker rooms, recovery areas, tennis courts, large parking lot and much much more. The staff is friendly as well has the clientele, I would definitely recommend to anyone and everyone

There are several EDGE gyms and each are different. For pool and pickleball, the Farrell St location is best, but the gym is tiny and the showers had no hot water for a week this winter. The gym at a Twin Oaks has a good gym, lots of aerobic and nautilus options, classes and free weight, but no pool. They do have racquetball courts and tennis/ pickleball, but no pools. Also, several times this winter, the heat wasn't working, which made the locker room/ shower impossible. They are building outdoor pickleball courts and social space so that will be a nice addition. I'm not familiar with the Essex locations, but they are known for their pools.

Excellent gym, great trainers. Clean, fairly quiet. The only down side is they are removing most equipment in favor of pickelball courts..... Really really unfortunate

Huge well-equipped well-priced (actually priced) quality gym. During the school year, avoid this place between 4pm & 7ish pm weekdays if you don't want a crowd. But the quality here is great.

Most people denied EXIT ONLY signs and it is really annoying when you’re trying to find the open parking spot and then you see one opened but you have to go the other way because it’s technically a one way and the other car that came behind you just ignored the sign or didn’t see the sign and went for it and didn’t go around. Happened many times!! I do recommended to have the sign bigger or more noticeable if it there for a reason.

If you’re using the weight room it’s just not worth the money, old machines, very hot all year around, no ventilation, not enough treadmills even if u come 1h before closing they are going to be occupied

So far I am liking this gym. Everyone that I have spoken with from the managers about membership options, to the front desk employees, and class teachers have been wonderful and really friendly. They answered all my questions and took the time to give me a really good tour. I ended up joining after a 3 day trial and look forward to trying more of the classes, the pool a mile down the road, and some more of the weight lifting equipment. It is pretty large and spread out so you don't have to wait for a treadmill or elliptical because there are many across at least 3 parts of the gym. The locker rooms are fairly clean and the sauna is really nice.

This Dec 2017 will be 7 years since I joined the Edge Gym. Weights, racket ball, squash, spinning, tennis, and many other activities.
One of the best gyms I've worked out.

I've been going to this place for 3 years. It isn't the fanciest gym, however the people really make it great. The personal trainers are always friendly and willing to give advice.

I rarely feel self conscious as there is a wide variety of people who go there. There is, of course, people there looking to get ridiculous strong, but there are also tons of people there who are trying to get into shape and people who are their for rehabilitation. Having this diversity helped me not feel intimidated.

I plan on continuing my membership for as long as I'm in the area.

NOT HANDICAPPED ACCESSIBLE! There is a handicapped parking space with no sidewalk cutout nearby. What does it matter, though? Most of the machines are up a flight of stairs. The pool is also only accessible via a flight of stairs. When I inquired, the response was two-fold. "We were grandfathered." And...[climbing the stairs] "It's the warm-up." They stated the latter while laughing. It's not funny. If there are others who find stairs challenging, if not impossible, the Twin Oaks location is impossible. What's worse, though, is the attitude. Nice people who are clueless on this issue. When this is the only facility open on a holiday, I cannot access it. I am a member and unable to use this facility. I managed climbing the stairs once. It was utterly painful. So, be warned, Twin Oaks is not handicapped friendly. Only stairs, no elevators or stairlifts.
