If you want to waste your money then this is the place for you...we just left their christmas dance and it was full of teachers dancing the entire time. Waste of money. I hope my brother in law removes my niece from the program not about the kids at all

This dance studio is the best im a rec dancer but im auditioning for company next year the dance teachers here are nice there rlly funny ive been here for three years now and they treated me no different then how they first did, they push you but not to hard and they find a way to make it fun

Don't bring your kid here. They promise the world and say they don't discriminate, but after they take your money, let your kid make friends, after a short time, then kick you to the curb. This studio is money hungry, and I advise anyone, to disregard this place as a reputable business.

My daughter was at AOD for three years. She was constantly told how great she was but always put in the back on the stage. The skills level and training received does not equal the thousands of dollars that you pour into the studio. Only thing that mattered to them is how many awards they can take home, growing the individual skills is not important. The staff is messy and rude and even continued to trash talk my daughter after she made the decision to move studios in order to better advance in her skills.

This studio charges a ridiculous amount for monthly tuition, and even more for costumes, shows, etc. The kids whose parents pay the most are of course the ones who βmove upβ the fastest. Itβs all about the money, with terrible customer service, and no concern at all for the individual students, or parents. So glad to be done with this studio!

My daughter loves this school. She has learned so much and enjoys it. They genuinely care about you and your little dancers. I truly am glad they have extended to Williamsburg we will be part of the family for years to come. It's our second year so far.

My little has been attending Academy of Dance and Gymnastics for about a month and she absolutely loves it and looks forward to it every week. I really like the fact that they communicate with you and send you emails about anything that's going on. They are professional and they are really great with these kids.

My daughter loves AOD! She loves the family friendly environment. Itβs a great place for beginners, intermediate and advance dancers. There are classes for all! She loves the friends she has made and how much fun she has doing what she loves - dancing! The recitals are entertaining to watch and overall fun! Great price for the value!

My daughter has been with AOD since she was 4. She is now with the AOD competition team, coached by the best, competing with the best in regional and national events. She loves the experience; going to dance is the one thing she wishes to do every single day. AOD staff is professional and phenomenal. The kids are having fun and getting rigorous professional training. This is the place to be if any child (any age >4) would like to learn dance, either professionally or just recreationally.

The Academy of Dance is an amazing studio! I started dancing here at a young age, I remember always being so excited to take classes every week and loved being in their spectacular recitals. Iβm much older now and still feel the same way. AOD has such a positive learning environment, the (highly professional/trained) staff always pushes you to improve and not just in dancing, theyβve helped my confidence/social/speaking skills grow too. No matter your age.
The company/competitive team always has amazing award-winning dances. The company is very diverse, ages start from five years old and go all the way to eighteen years old. They also have a group for every level of dancer! I love competing with such a big family like academy, traveling to conventions and competitions opens so many doors for each student. Our dances are choreographed by our own professional staff AND we have many guest choreographers come in to teach us dances and just simply come in for master classes. Iβm so pleased with Linda Haas (the owner) for giving her students the absolute best training.
If you want your child to have fun and have the correct training please come to The Academy of Dance!!

Extremely happy with the staff here at the Academy of Dance & Gymnastics. We are a mixed/co-parenting family so our schedules tend to be chaotic but the Academy helped us find the perfect class and time for our five year old daughter. My little one is always excited for her dance classes and to see her instructor! She loves it.

My daughter has taken various dance classes here as well as gymnastics for a few years now. She loves everything about attending classes here. Sheβs learned so much and made many friends. The instructors are awesome and always so friendly. The staff at the front, Miss Jessie, is always so helpful with any questions I have. I definitely recommend. Not to mention the holiday show is ALWAYS a beautiful production. If your little ones are interested in Dance/gymnastics you should enroll them here. Your family wont regret the experience.

In 2018 we were on the hunt to find something for our daughter to do, outside of school, in a positive environment. We walked into the Yorktown studio for information. They were so friendly and helpful. This experience has been life changing for us, as our daughter was dealing with bullying at school. Itβs so encouraging to see such a positive atmosphere, teacher who have a passion for teaching and students who really love being there. We are so thankful for AOD everyday!

We love it here. I have two girls in classes. 7 and 4 yo. They both started at 3. I love how much attention the teachers show the kids. Thereβs only 2 recitals a year so youβre not overwhelmed with show after show. The hours and studio options Give good variety. The production quality of the recitals is top notch. This is not a church gym recital. Itβs high quality sound, lighting, video, costumes and props. The owners Jim and Linda are always around and they really get to know your kids and make you feel welcome. My oldest is a Showbiz Kid (company/competition dancer). This is her first year on the Mini Team. She absolutely loves it. I can see her progress with each class! I highly recommend any of their 3 studios!

Hands down an amazing dance studio. My daughter has learned so much from the owner and teachers. We travel very far just to go here. This is a second home and family for us.
My daughter is always happy coming out of classes and learning new moves. They also take the covid situation very seriously! They clean everything and have masks on while teaching.

I like the Yorktown studio better but I'm only 2 minutes from Denbih. At Yorktown they saw my daughter was above her class she's bigger and more experienced than her age group. Yorktown put her where she would benefit more and Denbih just limits her to her age group. However my daughter loves ballet so she doesn't like to miss a class.

This was my grand-daughterβs first year with the Academy of Dance. This place is awesome!!!! The teacherβs were very patient and excellent in improving her skill level. I am still in awe about βThe Greatest Showβ performance. I had the opportunity to see βHamiltonβ in NY. I am most certainly sure I will see some of the performers on Broadway in the future. This was our first year at the Acadamey of Dance and Gymnastics in Yorktown. We have loved it all so much the teachers are so knowledgeable and fantastic. Our daughter had learned so much in 9 months its unbelievable. The Christmas recital and end of the year recital are amazing and put together so beautifully!
