Everyone at anytime fitness is very warm and welcoming. Tommy, one of the owners was very friendly and explained the details of membership thoroughly. Keenan, our fitness coach showed us all the machines, demonstrated them, and had us demonstrate back. The facility is very welcoming and we are going to enjoy going there.

I enjoyed being a member at this location. Recently moved out of state. It was clean and well maintained. The only thing I did not like was the group of highschool kids at night hoarding equipment made late night workouts difficult.

I’ve been to many gyms over the years, and have many options available, but I choose this location because of its cleanliness and staff. It’s always well maintained and there is staff available to answer questions. The manager, Tommy, and the coaches, Daniel and Keenan, really want you to feel welcome and help you meet your fitness goals.

The convenience of the location and the hours is great for me. Was a part of the local YMCA but it was always to crowded during the hours of 5-6am which is when I like to workout. This location is a lot more low key and covers all my needs

*Member since 2020* Excellent staff, clean and well-maintained facility features everything your workout needs with staff to help out with questions. Plenty of cleaning supplies present, very good range of machines, free weights, and cardio machines. Gym manager knows EVERY member by name and appears to be one of the most friendly and positive people on earth for the two years I’ve been going…I’ll have what he’s having. :)

If you want a gym that actually makes you feel like a member where you can work out any time the notion hits—this is the gym.

This Anytime Fitness is an outstanding gym with an attentive and friendly staff who truly care about their customers. Since the ownership changed about a year ago, this gym has improved immensely.

The equipment is kept in good working condition – including the headphone jacks on the cardio equipment. During the past year the staff has added lots of new equipment that allows members to significantly expand their workout routines. They keep the facility clean! Us regular customers appreciate the well-stocked gym wipes and use them to wipe down the equipment after each use. The restrooms are kept clean and stocked. They’ve added a refrigerator with various drinks, a coffee maker, and have a selection of other healthy snacks. An example of the attention to detail they place in this gym is the motivational fitness-focused drawings that a very artistic staff member draws on the black-board wall.

The staff is exceptional! Tommy, the manager who we routinely see during early morning workouts, is obviously backed with the full support of the new owner. Tommy is quick to address any issues. He and the other staff I have met are always welcoming and show true appreciation to their customer base. I’ve made two recommendations (to add a specific weight lifting bar for a cable machine and to add a music video channel to the TVs on the cardio equipment) and both were added. This gym has personal trainers, including Tommy himself, who are motivational and work closely with their clients. However, even if an individual is not a personal training client, if they have a specific question the staff is always happy to provide a thorough answer and demonstrate how to use the equipment.

For those seeking a gym where you can get a great workout at anytime that fits their schedule, and want to do so at a location where the staff truly appreciates your patronage and supports your goals, give this Anytime Fitness a try. Like my wife and I, there’s a good chance this specific location will help inspire you to become a frequent user and happy long-term member.

When I first became a member to anytime fitness over a year ago I felt the gym was slacking in a few areas. This year the gym has made tons of changes! New equipment, new tanning bed, clean bathrooms, and very friendly staff !! Tommy and Carson are fantastic, they always make you feel welcome and greet you by name. The entire staff and new management is great and I would recommend to anyone looking for a local gym or trainer.

I was so disrespected by an employee there and when i asked to speak to someone higher up we told me no and became very rude with me and even began to mock me. stay clear of this location. Go to cedar road location, different owner and great employees at cedar road!

I signed up at the end of 2016 and have since been relocated for work. I need to cancel my membership due to being unable to use the facilities (over 40 miles away and no other location in north eastern North Carolina) The manager, Kayla, of this location was very rude and uncaring towards my situation. She had no sense of compassion, and just said over and over again that I should have read the fine print of the contract. I am unable to cancel for a year no matter what my situation. I was not thoroughly explained this when I signed up. In fact, this was not mentioned at all. Secondly, I was told that the gym charges a small fee when new equipment is needed. On the second month of payment they pulled $70.00, DOUBLE the monthly fee I signed up for. This was not what was explained to me. The employees are not trained with accurate information and do not care to help when there is an issue. I find this to be absurd and hope that your entire franchise/ business is not set up on such character. I used this gym for one week due to being relocated and no one is willing to find a way to help me. Even the owner was extremely rude to my pregnant wife on the phone and said that I should have read the fine print before signing and he did not care if his employees did not thoroughly explain the information. That it was my duty to read through it before doing so. Something needs to be done about this location, the employees training, and how the manager and owner treats their customers. BE AWARE BECAUSE THE EMPLOYEES WILL NOT EXPLAIN THIS TO YOU, YOU ARE UNABLE TO GET OUT OF A YEAR CONTRACT NO MATTER WHAT YOUR SITUATION IS.

I signed up for a year long contract... I went through some major life changes that forced me to move in with relatives so I could get back on my feet financially. I contacted my home gym to let them know of my financial situation and requested to cancel my membership. I was expecting to be told of a cancellation fee, which I would have paid; however, I was told I was not allowed to cancel my contract at any time. I did not have the funds to continue to make the payments every month. I contacted them again and told them again of my situation. I was given no compassion and was told I have to make the payments. I cancelled my card with my bank and went on about life. Almost a year later, I receive a collection notice from a third party demanding $154.63 that I owe to anytime. I was never sent any notice from the company or given a call. There is no itemized statement saying what the funds are for since my membership was 25/month. Everything I have read online is that there is a $50 cancellation fee. I am beyond upset with the company and won't recommend anyone start a membership there and if you do, get the shortest term.

So I have been a member of Anytime Fitness for four years now. (Once you sign up you get to go to all of the locations) this is by far the most disgusting location I have been to. I'm aware that the members have the responsibility of wiping down the equipment after each use, but there is no way that the staff is also cleaning it like they should be for it to look this gross. I have never been in there when there wasn't sweat on the seats and cardio equipment sticky. The bathrooms are just as bad last time I went in there the shower floor was black and there was a bug squished in there. Even the toilet seats were gross. Don't get me wrong I know its a gym and its going to have some grime. But! Anytime Fitness is a franchise! They have quality and customer service standards! At the very least it should be sanitary! Also, what I think may be they worse part and serve as a WARNING TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT SIGNING UP AT THIS LOCATION!!!!! They require you to sign in on a sheet at the front of the gym you have to write down your NAME, ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER, AGE, AND EMAIL they do not dispose of your information at all they just let it sit out front for weeks for anyone who walks into the gym to see. But this is what happens when you have staff who doesn't really seem to care about their job or the company. Also the people who own this location also own the other Chesapeake location on Battlefield near the Chesapeake Hospital.
