The Gym is convenient and has all the equipment necessary to train. As a local football coach, I train my players not only on the field but in the gym. The owner has provided our staff and players with the ability to utilize his facility to condition and train throughout the off-season and provides professional assistance to help develop these young athletes. This is a great gym and the better one that I've been too. The owner is great. The gym is a good homey size and has everything you need. The music is also a reason why I come here over other places. Bathrooms and showers are good and everything is always stocked and of course, being open 24/7 is a plus. Also, the owner is very accommodating and will waive old fees and late fees if you call him in time. All around great gym.

I wanna say that this is the most convenient gym in town! I have been going to Anytime Fitness for almost 7 months now and I have nothing negative to say about it. The owner John is very helpful and kind and you can definitely tell that he cares. He is usually fast at getting things back in order after any situation. The gym are very well kept, clean restrooms with showers (which is a plus), and great varieties of workout equipment.

I have been a member for 6 plus years and love the facility. It is setup for serious people looking for a serious workout. From nautilus to free weights they got you covered and don't worry about maxing out there machines they have room to grow. Awesome place for a legit workout session.

Disappointed. The staff is not approachable and kind. They were really nerdy and controlling. They seem to have "Retail PTSD" and treat "customers" as "people they have to endure" instead of enjoying people and wanting to help them.

I ended up trying one of the other nearby gyms where I was readily welcomed, they even let me workout for free the first evening without signing up, because the introduction people were not available. I have moved a lot over the past three years, and this is more the norm for gyms. I always join the "cool and nice" one. It is also easier to make friends in the ones with the welcoming and "not control crazy" atmosphere. The Gainesville Anytime is the worst one for atmosphere I have experienced in 20 years.

Anytime Fitness is a friendly, comfortable gym that is suitable for all ranges of fitness needs. I usually use the free weights and strength machines, and have never experienced problems with overcrowding or dirty and broken equipment - typical issues at many gyms. The staff members are approachable and always willing to help. The 24-hour availability is also helpful for anyone on a busy or irregular schedule.

Anytime Fitness in Gainesville is convenient, not too crowded and clean. The staff has been helpful when I asked for help. I have bad knees so some of the equipment is off limits for me so I don't go as often as I would like. However my family can use all the equipment and get a good workout from it. I would use it more if there was a wall bar I could hold on to and do leg lifts. I really like the 24 hour access to the facility.

I have been a member since they opened and as an early riser, it is perfect for me. I usually workout between 4 and 5 in the morning and only few gyms offer this in a location that is convenient for me. I'm a runner so all I really need is a treadmill and a few weights. The down side is that I also like classes and none are offered here.

I left my old gym to join Anytime Fitness because the location seemed more convenient and I thought I would be able to get there more often.The main difference I noticed immediately was that they were advertising the business next door that offered classes which you have to pay for. All classes were included at my old gym and it had a pool. Then the complete deal breaker was quickly apparent when I discovered that the only shower was also in the same room with the toilet so if you locked the door to have a shower nobody else could use the restroom. Since most of my days off I wanted to run errands after the gym I came less and less because it was not convenient to go home and shower and drive back again for errands.

I LOVE the atmosphere of this gym and the staff and members are very fun and encouraging! I never have to wait around to use the equipment and because my schedule is all over the place, I appreciate being able to work out at any time of the night or day, including holidays. I have been coming here for years and always look forward to walking through those doors.

I've been a regular at this gym for over 3 years. They have a great location, a clean facility, and all of the equipment that 99% of the people need. I teach fitness classes at another facility (where I receive a free membership), but I have never considered cancelling my membership to Anytime as it is the only gym that gives me the schedule flexibility that I need. The facilities are always clean and I think I shower there, more often than I shower at home. I hope they don't change a thing!

I loved being a part of the Anytime Fitness community. Everyone was friendly.

The manager Charlie impressed me especially - he could always remember details from past conversations and enjoyed talking to everyone.

Anytime Fiteness in Gainesville is a basic gym and delivers what you need. And with their newest remodels, it's gorgeous too! It's a great gym, especially for commuters because you can go 24-7. And once you've been a member for a short while, you can go to any AnytimeFitness in the US! So you can work out even when you travel.

I've never had a bad experience with this gym. Everyone has been polite as well as helpful, whether for small problems like needing help getting a strap back on the foot pegs of the bike or for asking for a guest pass so my husband could use the gym for a week. There is a towel service here for everyone's use as well as private bathrooms to even take a shower in. There are plenty of machines (ellipticals, treadmills, bikes, leg press, rowing, chest press, etc.) for everyone to use without waiting and a well-stocked weight-lifting area. I've always been smiled, waved at, and said "hello" to by the manager. I have never seen anyone thrown out of this establishment nor have I heard it through the grapevine. In fact, everyone I have encountered there has been kind to me with at least a smile as I walk past them. I encourage people to come to this gym. It's a great price as far as gyms go and you'll get many great options for how you spend your gym time.

I do know they're going through a renovation at this time, but I know the finished product will be wonderful and more productive than the last setup.

ETA: Now that the renovating is over, the gym looks and feels roomier and more welcoming. There is a new rowing machine that has been added to the cardio area, a massage bed in one of the changing rooms, and a wall that you can write on with inspirational quotes. Of course it still has all of the original, beloved equipment that you expect for a great workout. Try the new gym out today! You won't be disappointed!

My experience at Anytime Fitness has been a great one. On Saturdays and even after work hours it is not overly crowded like other gyms I have been too. It is super convenient with the 24 hour schedule. The environment is relaxed and low key. I would definitely recommend this business to anyone looking for a convenient place to work out.

Absolutely horrible management here, Manager Charlie has no concept of customer service. My advice for anyone that encounters this location, this is not how Anytime fitness operates, The Bristow location is perfectly run with great management who welcome all its member and doesn't throw them out. The best thing for this location would be to have the owner sell it and have that new owner fire Charlie, if not, it will be sure to close down as it loses members. Don't let this location create a bad image for Anytime Fitness due to poor management. The key any membership is to create an expeience of inclusion and welcoming, that you are part of something cool. Not that you are a tresspasser because you think all people are crooks and that you should leave, that was my experience and I will never go to this location again, however, I will remain a member due to the Bristow location being what I believe is the Anytime fitness I joined.

I've not been happy with my membership at this gym. I've given feedback regarding most of the items listed below, and they never were addressed. I tried to cancel my membership, but was told I would have to pay a cancellation fee that was never mentioned or shown in print when I first joined the gym. Membership looks enticing for this gym because of the $29 a month fee, but it's not worth it.

Here's a list of things I found wrong with the gym:
Mold/Mildew in the women's shower
Hairballs in the women's shower
Stains in the women's toiler
Stains in the women's sink
Hair on the floor of the women's bathroom
Foul smell in the women's bathroom from a dry drain
Dust on the equipment
Malfunctioning equipment (i.e. buttons don't work)
Broken equipment lying around
Cobwebs throughout the gym
Owner overheard talking to members about his debt and collectors that call him

The owner is reportedly trying to sell the gym, but can't find a buyer (I was told his asking price is way too high.) I've tried discussing some of the aforementioned items with him and found it very frustrating. He is pompous and condescending.

I joined and have worked out at Anytime Fitness in Gainesville since it first opened. It's the perfect gym for me - it's clean, the staff is friendly, and in that time I've only had to wait to use equipment once or twice. I like that it's available to use 24 hrs a day, or if I'm traveling, I have the option of using another facility. There's no pressure to sign up for personal training, but it's available. It's not a large facility, but still offers the same equipment that large fitness centers have. Plus, I like the other members that I see regularly. This is considered a no-frills facility with very reasonable rates with a men & women's shower room and hand towels. It's exactly what I was looking for and I'm not paying for any extras that I wouldn't use anyway. When the economy hurt my disposable income, this is the one "extra" I wouldn't give up.

The owner is an idiot. I have spoken to him a few times and every time he was a condescending pig. He has a guy who works there to watch the cameras. This guy is the biggest creep i have ever met. He is very rude and tries to be harda$$. He yells at some of the gym users. from personal recommendation i'd say join another gym. Nobody wants to be treated badly and trust me, unless your in the group of muscle heads that workouts everyday, its a hostile environment.
