Wow! This has to be the cleanest gym I’ve ever stepped into. What a great place to work out. Eric does a phenomenal job of making everyone feel warm and welcome, and the standard he holds his gym to is impressive. Even the weights are put back in perfect upright position.

I also love that he encourages members to leave positive affirmations on the wall for everyone to see. It creates such a positive and motivating atmosphere. We were just passing through Virginia Beach on our way to Key West, but this spot left such a great impression that we’ll definitely be back!

Hands down the best gym in Virginia Beach! We trained here while in town and it was exactly what we needed for our hybrid-style training as they have a great mix of cardio to weight lifting equipment. Visiting Virginia beach KOA for a few days and found it difficult to find a gym that had guest passes for non residents. This place was right down the street. This isnt just a gym, its a gym family. Such kind and caring people. The owner walked me through a stretching process for my hips and also walked me though some reasons I may get light headed when I squat. They have all the equipment you could need but also have workout plans up if you are not sure where to start.
They also do bible studies at 1800 that he invited me to, I thought that was so sweet and something no other gym has had. If you are looking for a gym, I would start here.

There is much to be said about Awaken Inside, The Gym and it's lovely owner/founder Eric. I started coming here a little over a year ago, and from the moment I walked in, Eric let me know that I was family.

The gym itself is lovely. Well maintained equipment, fully stocked supplements and gym swag, a wide variety of machines, weights and ways to incorporate more dynamic movements into your routines. Clean and sanitary surfaces provided by both the gym-goers and a daily cleaning staff who enter this gym with the same energy as the patrons who come to this gym.

When I first started coming to Awaken Inside, I was out of shape, profoundly unhappy with myself and my habits, and Eric held my hand every step of the way. I did not make it easy for him to hold my hand. I was awful at consistency, awful at communicating, and regularly made poor choices when I was feeling down. I had already agreed to come, had already paid for my membership and at any point Eric could've simply given up and stopped encouraging me to come and do better for myself. Naturally, Eric did not give up.

A lot can be said about the state of a gym. It can be beautiful, clean, stocked with equipment and supplements you could only ever have in your dreams... and while this gym certainly has all of this going on, the best part about it is Eric. If you are considering going to the gym, and you know you'll need a true friend in your corner, I could not recommend this gym any more than I already do. I have not met a single person here who has not cheered me on and encouraged me to keep trying.

Anyway, if you've read all this, I hope you're getting ready to give Eric a call. And if you haven't, the TLDR is: just come in. You won't regret it.

I absolutely love this gym. For so many reasons. To start, I love that it's not this huge imposing place with bright lights and tons of loud machines. It's quiet and very welcoming from the moment you walk in. You're always greeted, usually by Eric the owner who's always wearing a smile and his adorable fur babies, or one of the trainers. It's by far the cleanest facility I've ever been to with cleaning products at EVERY station that are always full, so you never have to run around to find them (usually empty at other gyms or with no towels to use the solution). Even though it's a smaller gym there is plenty of equipment options there and every staff and trainer there is willing to show and help you use them. I followed my trainer Liv and her adorable mini trainer-in-training Max to this gym and we have both seen such an improvement in morale since leaving the previous facility. Dr. Cait has a wonderful in-house chiropractic and therapeutic physical therapy program there and is very attentive to her patients comfort and goals. Overall I am so glad to be a patron of this gym and getting to know the people there. I think Liv, little Max and I will continue to thrive here. If you're ever looking for a personal trainer I highly recommend Olivia and her handsome side-kick, she has become such a wonderful friend and pushes me to my limits and holds me accountable to my training goals. And if you're looking for a new gym with a home feel and great people I highly recommend AI!

This gym feels like I've finally found what I've been looking for. 🙌 SUPER clean and organized! Exactly the proper amount of equipment, literally everything you need. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. There's a cold plunge too which I haven't seen one in any other gym in the area. Lighting isn't harsh and the music is at a good listening or talking level and the Playlist gets you pumped. It blows all the other gyms in the area out of the water. 24 hour access member option. You don't need a membership to work with a trainer but you're going to want one. This is the type of gym that gets you addicted to coming! I visited the gym a few months ago. Didn’t have time to write a review. I am federal law enforcement. I was off duty when I came into the gym so I didn’t “look the part” if you get what I’m saying. Owner appeared hesitant to give me details on pricing. Didn’t offer a tour. One of my white coworkers came in later that week and she was greeted and given a tour. Also the way pricing was explained to her was quite different than the way it was explained to me. He assumed that pricing would be expensive for me for some reason. Not sure if he’s aware of his biased approach to potential customers.

I did not having a good experience going in to this gym . I went to check it out to see if it would be a good fit . First off the appointments I guess he scheduled overlapped . I walked in to no hello or anything sat there without a greeting until he finished with the other client . Finally after about 10-15 mins he was ready to meet with me . Didn’t seem very interested in what I had to say as far as my weight goals I felt as if it was a joke . The follow up seemed as if he was even uninterested. Completely turned me off . I came to the gym a couple of days ago to keep up with my prep during vacation, I was greeted by Eric and if I were to build a private gym, it would be very similar to his set up. It is very clean, well kept and even the gym goers there are very nice and kind. If I were living in Virginia Beach, this would be my gym. When I come back to Virginia Beach and stay up with my goals this is the spot.

First impression, I immediately good vibes the minute I walked in and was greeted with a smile. After working out here for about a month, I’ve seen hospitality be shown to every 👏🏼 single 👏🏼person👏🏼 who walks through the door. Great atmosphere, clean, everyone’s super knowledgeable and nice. I joined Awaken Inside appx one month ago, and I am beyond happy w this decision. The level of full service care and attention you get is beyond compare to other gyms I’ve joined in the past. The equipment and facility is always impeccably clean and first rate. I highly recommend this gym to anyone in the Va beach area. It is super clean, the staff is exceptional, and the atmosphere is supportive. Visiting from Pa, I was able to workout for the week, had all my questions answered, had a personal tour of each machine, and felt completely comfortable. Eric runs a great gym at A.I.! He greets you by name when entering, and the place is always clean, and for the most part you have the gym to yourself. Never have to wait for anything. Best gym I've been apart of. Eric is the owner and will remember your face and name from day 1 and is highly knowledgeable when it comes to nutrition. This 6 week coaching experience has been a breath of fresh air on my lifestyle journey. I came into the program already working out pretty consistently and I had a goal of what I wanted to accomplish using the coaching system with Eric. All of it changed because of the new information I was given along with how to track food. I also got some really sound advice on what to expect from this as well as a very detailed training regiment that I wanted to make work with my busy schedule. I 100% changed my goals because of this process from just weight loss to thinking about body transformation and I have never been more satisfied with my progress in my life. Amazing gym. On a work trip to the area and was desperate to avoid the base gym. Found this gym by accident and I’m so glad I did. The owner was incredibly helpful and flexible working out a temporary pass that fit my needs. The gym itself is immaculate with a great variety of equipment for lifters of any level.

Clean, organized, and everything you need.

When you step into a gym like this, there are no excuses on why you can’t hit your goals. The gym equipment is in superb condition, the environment is very inviting, people are friendly. They even have a supplement station to help you refuel after getting a great workout in.

They have free weights, cable machines, cardio machines, and all the barbell equipment you could ask for. The best part is that the equipment is spaced out right and laid out correctly so you aren’t tripping on members or equipment.
