I give the highest recommendation to Barbara Hammond's School of Dance! My oldest daughter danced here for 15 wonderful years and now my youngest just finished her first full year of dance. Ms. Barbara helped my oldest daughter who was shy to break out of her shell and shine and is helping my youngest daughter with channeling her abundant energy for listening and focusing. We have taken tap, ballet, and hip hop classes as well as summer camps. Dance lessons here have also helped with sensory development, balance, strength, and social skills all while having fun. We feel like we are a part of a family here, and Ms. Barbara and the instructors truly care about and want their students to enjoy class and succeed. We are about to complete our third year at BH’s and I’m so happy we found this studio! I was immediately impressed with the ballet and tap technique taught to the youngest dancers, building a solid dance foundation. This is an amazing dance studio! We are very thankful that we found Barbara Hammond School of Dance. My daughter has improved and learned so much in just a few months. She always enjoys dance class and enjoys Ms. Barbara’s teaching style. I am impressed with the rigorous yet gentle pace of each class. If you are on the fence about which dance studio to join, I can’t recommend Barbara Hammond School of Dance enough!

Barbara Hammond School of Dance is truly a unique place. I grew up at this studio for 12+ years. I developed some of my most meaningful relationships and found best friends for life. The small studio and class size is unlike many studios these days and really gives you a one on one experience that fosters a safe space for learning, creativity, and exploring. It's easy in dance to get caught up in competition and comparison, but Barbara's emphasizes teamwork and integrity over everything. I didn't realize until I entered the industry how hard that is to find these days. This studio taught me real life skills and developed my passion for dance. I am now a dance major at Marymount Manhattan College in New York City and am reminded everyday of how significant this studio was in getting me to where I am. There is no studio I know that offers specifically tap the way Barbara Hammond's Studio does. They really emphasize the process of creating as well as musicality. This has served me so well in my dance studies. This studio gave me the foundations to pursue dance professionally and I am so grateful for them!!!

Barbara Hammond’s School of Dance was amazing!!! My daughter danced with Ms. Barbara and Ms. Jen all through elementary, middle and high school. Dancing with the studio was so much more than just dance, it taught my daughter teamwork, poise and the development of lasting friendships.
