The whole crew is friendly and encouraging. They care about their clients. They keep an eye on your form and help you rehabilitate and protect injuries while still pushing you for the best workout

Coach Deb was absolutely fantastic- went here for about 6 months off and on between various schools at NSF Dahlgren. The Bio crew was super welcoming and friendly, and Deb was awesome working with me around my constantly changing course schedule. I'll miss all of the great workouts and the small community feel of the gym- definitely check them out if you're looking for a gym to call home while at NSF Dahlgren!

B.I.O. Crossfit is the ideal box for you to learn what Crossfit is all about. You won't find the insane athletes here that you can count on finding at other boxes as their client turnover seems to be pretty high. A good portion of their members are stationed at the Dahlgren Naval base and are only in the area for a little while. This seems to have lead the box to specialize in the training of new / inexperienced crossfitters. This is the ideal box for people who are interested in starting Crossfit for the first time.

I had been doing Crossfit for about a year before I started at B.I.O. and thought I was starting to get a grasp on what what going on, but Max, the head coach / owner has properly schooled me, taking me back to the basics of many of the moves. At first I was frustrated because we weren't going nearly as heavy as I was used to and he was an absolute stickler for form, but after about a month, I'm glad that I came here. I think in the long run I will be much better off when I return to my home box.
