Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi is a yoga studio in Springfield, VA offering holistic wellness classes consisting of yoga, tai chi, meditation, and breathwork based on 5000-year old Korean traditions. We offer a variety of yoga classes for beginners and more advanced classes to energize and heal the mind, body, and spirit.
Our friendly and inviting Huntsman yoga classes include: Body & Brain Yoga (all levels), Core Strengthening, Energy Movement, Yoga & Qigong, and more.

After my first experience here I texted all of my friends to tell them I was pretty sure it was a life-changing moment (which is wildly out of character for me). I went in hoping to find a way to gently begin stretching and physical exercise, having been overweight and out of shape for the past 20 years. I also wanted something that would help me get out of my head and just reduce stress in general. Both of those goals were immediately proved achievable with the practices that are taught here. I couldn't believe how GOOD my body felt during and after the class. It was easy and fun just following the very clear and slow-paced instruction, but it was also more of a workout than I expected (in a good way). I've been going for several weeks now, and each time I walk out happier, more peaceful, with better posture and with a little bit of good ache in my muscles. I truly feel like this is sustainable from a physical wellness perspective -- which is a first for me -- and I am getting so much more out of it emotionally than I thought I would. It's a super supportive and friendly group of people too, very welcoming even for introverts. I only wish I'd started coming here many years ago.

Fantastic experiences., I feel so wonderful and energized after each class with an extremely positive outlook on life. My physical ability to overcome the arthritis in my shoulders and knees is truly amazing. The arthritis is still there but I now have the energy to do activities that in the past would have avoided.

This is my third class. The class Is very enlightening. Muscle stretching, and I feel light on my feet. The exercises are hard but doable. I am feeling good, my body and mind and spirit. I have been taking Saturday Qi-gong classes for a few months at the B&B Yoga Tai Chi center in Huntsman, blvd., Springfield, VA. It's been awesome how these classes have reinvigorated my body and mind. These classes are easy on your body, so people with reasonable bodily discomfort can readily benefit from these classes. Lastly, some mindfulness tips by Master Nago at the end of each class is simply cherry on top.

I took a class today and did a private session after and it changed my life. I have gone to Kaiser for help healing from my car accident back in August where I lost my daughter (since I was pregnant when the accident happened) and I know my body is still physically healing but it’s more than that there is energy work and balance I need work on healing my trauma and physical pain and taichi is something I tried back in April at a Yoga retreat and I loved it. I want to continue taichi to heal my physical and emotional pain. Thank you for helping me today! I will be coming back to continue the work on my recovery. God bless.

I participated in BodynBrain for several years before it moved to this new location. BodynBrain Yoga TaiChi studio formerly in Burke, is in a new location in Springfield. Because of Covid, it is just beginning to open the studio to onsite services and classes. But during the past year and a half of living alone at home, it rescued me from isolation and preserved my physical and mental health with its online classes. I became a member 10 years ago at a very low point, when I was particularly anxious and depressed. It rescued me then too. The classes are lively, fun, adaptable to every level of members' flexibility and physical condition. A phone call to the studio allows you to talk with an instructor about what you would like to address. Classes are offered several times a day and each day has a special focus. Joining Huntsman provides access to all the online classes provided by all studios and instructors in the area, as well as special training. When the studios reopen for in-person classes, you will experience how caring and welcoming the instructors and space are. In the meantime, enjoy the online classes from the comfort of your home, as I do!!

Forget everything you know, heard, or imagined about yoga and Tai Chi. Body and Brain, newly open at Huntsman Square has been an experience and a place like no other! I find the online classes fun, dynamic, top notch and bring you into an extended community of magnificent instructors and wonderful people. The Body and Brain Huntsman Center manager is wise, caring, and delightfully enlightening. I joined Body and Brain Huntsman at its old location in Burke about 3 years ago. I lost over 80 pounds and have kept most of it off even during the pandemic. In addition to the physical benefits, I am generally more relaxed and accepting of life and am enjoying warm, sincere friendships. Body and Brain Huntsman- the flexibility to be what you want!
