Was happy to know that scheduling an appointment was easy online, the process take less than 30 minutes and there's convenience parking right in front of the facility. The BMI body scan took about 10 minutes and the RMR test took about the same. You get printed results that show where your fat vs muscle areas are, charts that show how much in each area of your body and recommendations for loss or gain. Brendan performed my evaluation and was a pleasure to work with.

I will preface this review with the fact that the staff who helped me was very very friendly. I was disappointed that this location doesn't offer visceral fat on their scan and I wasn't told that until after the scan. I asked if this was on the website, and I was told that it was. However, when you visit the website to book, it is not on the main screen or any booking screens advising you of this. If you venture into the FAQs, it mentions that it is only available at one of their other locations, not Arlington. When I told her that I would have to repeat the test at Composition ID, she was like yeah sorry and mentioned they have the old machine. It is a huge disappointment and honestly a waste of my money. I booked online and didn't speak with anyone, so it wasn't information that was readily offered up. If you are looking for a DEXA scan offering the visceral fat percentage, I suggest you visit Composition ID. I am not a fan of heading into DC as there is no parking, but there is a location in Arlington/Tysons Corner. I know pretty much what my Withings scale already offers me, and will have to spend another $100 and have another scan elsewhere. As far as the interpretation of the data, she was very quick. She pretty much spoke quickly and ran through all the sheets. I think I was in and out in 15 minutes. I have a basic knowledge of body composition, but for someone who doesn't this would not have been a great experience. I cannot recommend this site and will not return myself.

my first dexa scan and as a first timer as expected all new information alot to absorb yet helpful for the future. my technician was kind and friendly and welcoming 4 stars. as for the individual i figured worked there in some capacity asked if I was there for a dexa 2 stars. customer service none given it was early in the morning. I'd go back to another location. otherwise I'd try another facility that does dexa again. I wouldn't recommend that location to anyone if asked where I went. do better. say good morning at least try.

Very good experience, and my technician/fitness coach at the Arlington facility was superb. I am concerned however, that there isn't a more specific "visceral fat" analysis. I'm not sure all of the "android" fat is visceral and some not subcutaneous.

You cannot argue with data! The DEXA/RMR and incredibly knowledgeable staff at Bodymass have guided me on my health journey for the past two years. I workout at Bodymass for strength, balance and mobility. The DEXA scans show where one area may have less muscle, so I know for balance sake, I can work that area. The Resting Metabolic Rate shows the necessary calories just to exist. That number guides my macro intake that I track on an app. Data informs decisions! Thanks, Bodymass Team!
