We really like it here. I have had two girls in recreational classes for the past 2 years. They started at parent/tot and my oldest is now in beginner gymnastics. I do have to say that not all coaches are equally great, but isn’t that the case everywhere? We tend to just observe and listen to our kids and when they like someone, we try to find a class with that coach. My girls have tried a variety of activities and this is the only thing they are never willing to trade for another hobby. I can’t judge how the team / competitive levels are, but the recreational classes are so fun and we loved the summer camp. A few coaches we like are coach Ashlyn, Delaney and Lisa.
One thing that’s difficult but not worth subtracting a star is switching classes or asking for any kind of flexibility. For example, even though there was a waiting list with several kids in line for a preschool class, we weren’t allowed to add our daughter to the waiting list even a couple of weeks before she turned old enough for the class. That makes it tough to plan ahead. There are plenty of class options though, so we always found one that worked in the end

Awful communication and so called employees not communicating the same information to clients. Being told “no, you are wrong” multiple times bc they do not want to admit or acknowledge they do in fact run a business with teen/young adults who are not properly trained to communicate any kind of information. The business uses a portal to communicate through email and send payments but fails to tell you that they also use their regular info@brag email for EVERYTHING ….therefore causing such great confusing when trying communicate with anyone and rarely ever anyone on the phone……..DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY…..highway robbery at best and don’t let them fool you.

Poor communication.

I enrolled my kid over a year ago. When I first called I explained that ADHD and autism ran in our family and we were confident she fit that mold even though we hadn't officially tested her yet. They assured me that they had tons of experience in that department. Also I have a younger kid and I asked if I could bring her to wait with me, they said no. My kid's first teacher was a teen who had no idea she had ADHD and there were tons of babies/toddlers in the waiting area with their parents. I asked about this, they said they had no idea who told me I couldn't bring her.
Her next coach was Helen who actually really tried and talked to me about my kid. Unfortunately my daughter didn't like her saying she was too mean. To clarify I don't think Helen is mean, just strict, and to a 3yr old that can be the same thing. So we went to a third teacher. She kicked my kid out every time she wasn't listening. So every time. She never made the time to talk with me. She didn't try to work with us. Because my kid was struggling to follow directions I had filled out a drop form just in case...when I asked about a 4th teacher they politely asked me to keep the drop and maybe try again when she was older.
For 2 months my 3yr old reinacted getting kicked out of class. She would tell her younger sister she was bad and couldn't stay in her class. It broke my heart. Several months after that she told me she wanted to go back to gymnastics so she could learn how to do cartwheels. So I emailed them, they never responded.
My daughter has now done ballet and acro with GDC and it's just really obvious that they actually have experience with ADHD kids (she has her official diagnosis now).
BRAG is a beautiful facility and if your kid isn't neurospicy they will probably thrive there. But all of my "mom feels" aside on this, the communication was bad. Also, I would suggest education on the differences between a high energy kid and an ADHD one.

There is no family bathroom. If you're a dad taking your little daughter to gymnastics, you have no choice but to take your daughter to the men's bathroom. And bathrooms are shared by kids and adults. It creates an uncomfortable situation for parents and little kids.

I'm amazed that a business that predominantly caters to children hasn't thought this thru.

We attend gymnastics classes for my daughter, and this place has us hooked. We have advanced three levels since starting and each coach is very focused in teaching the classes safe and proper form in an open floor plan learning environment.

Our daughter was declined the opportunity to participate in a competition due to an unwarranted close contact COVID exposure from a member of her team. We were told by BRAG she would have to miss the competition, and quarantine for two weeks. We were also informed we would not be refunded for the competition dues or the coaches fees associated with the competition we were told we are not allowed to participate in. No adjustment to the monthly dues would be given either even though we would be missing practices for two weeks due to the quarantine. This was all following two negative COVID tests our daughter took. The email explanation we received read "This is the world we are living in right now. It is possible this may happen again. If you do not want to take the risk this season, let me know." Since we do not wish to pay for something we do not receive, we let them know we would like to proceed with leaving the organization. We asked to be refunded for the future coaches and competition fees we prepaid and were told by the director of teams we would not be receiving a refund. It is very apparent in "the world we are living in right now" the bottom line of the company is still most important.

We love it here. If she was old enough to go every day, I'm sure she would. Coach Malorie is fantastic along with the other JO prep coaches.

My daughter has been attending BRAG for a few years and I can attest that cares about families and is taking every precaution to ensure that disease is not spread while still allowing children their much needed athletic instruction. Highly recommend this company!

I wouldn't recommend. We were disappointed in the class for pre-school aged children. The coach seemed disinterested and unmotivated and lacked enthusiasm and child development awareness. The academy as a whole seemed disorganized and discombobulated and staff and coaches seemed unhappy and disgruntled. We will be trying another gym.

I was looking to sign my daughter up for beginner gymnastics. I stumbled across this place one day on google and decided to check it out.

They have a very large variety of classes and age ranges that best fit my child vs other locations for gymnastics in the area.

The building is easy to find although it just looks like a big green metal shop of some kind.

I was greeted right away when I walked in. They have an open gym on Saturdays so I was able to take my daughter in so she could see what they do.

The lady at the front desk went over the different types of classes and how they work and the payments/memberships etc.

She even said they do "trial classes" which I didn't see anywhere online. You can go to any class that has an opening and test it out free of charge. No penalties if you don't want to come back or anything.

So I signed my daughter up for the beginner girls gymnastics from age 6 to 9.

They seem to keep a very tight schedule with their classes as there are many going on at one time and sort of rotate different areas of the gym as they go along.

Since my daughter was new I thought they would maybe take a minute to introduce new students but they didn't. They litterally hit the ground running with the class.

My daughter didn't seem to mind with that....she was too excited anyways. She seemed to get along with the other students and did quite well. I guess it was an evaluation night for the other students who have been there longer but she let my daughter still do the testing activities anyways which was cool.

I feel like they attempt to do a lot of different activities in 1 hour instead of concentrating on practicing one thing more than the other but it is a recreational class so I guess they just try to do an all around class which is fine by me.

At the end, my daughter LOVED it and we ended up signing her up for the year. The prices of the membership/classes aren't bad at all and like I said, they have many different options.

I am anxious to see where it leads.

The only real downside to the place is the seating area for the parents. The building is sort of divided into 2 parts and the seating area closest to the back gym part is mostly blocked off by a wall.

I guess a lot of parents use it as a time to catch up on facebook or work or what have you, but I actually like to watch what my daughter does..its fun...but the big wall in the way kind of sucks. But they do rotate around the entire gym so shes not blocked off from view the entire time.

Overall still very awesome place.

Great gym, friendly coaches who's main focus is the children's safety. Flexible class times and days and staff are very receptive to any concerns parents have.
