I just came here to say that this gym is so 👏🏼well 👏🏼 run 👏🏼 (Thank you Jen!). Time and time again I’ve seen these women handle medical emergencies and all kinds of other crises expertly and without skipping a beat on leading the workout. No matter what level you’re training at, the trainers remember your name, and encourage you to push yourself a little further. They encourage modifications for pregnancy, differences in physical ability, or if you’re just generally having a rough time with the workout - without shame or calling the whole room’s attention to it. I don’t get here often enough but I’m truly grateful that I can go when I can.

I joined during the $99 4 week promotion. Wasn't going to join because of the price point bit after seeing results, I was sold. I like not having to figure out what I want to workout, like I'd have to do if I went to a gym. It's been 2 months and I've lost 10 lbs. When I started I was only lifting 12-15 lbs. Now I'm doing 20-25!

I had a 100/10 experience tonight. The staff were so friendly, professional, and took the time to give helpful notes on what I could improve on in my workout. It is intense but the feeling of happiness after is so worth it! The happy and positive energy from the instructors and other group members was infectious! Changed my mood and made me whole day better 😃❤️
(Only thing that was “hard” for me was jumping (because I’m bigger) but the instructor gave tips to modify it to make it easier.)
Overall I feel the Burn in the best way!

I love this place! It's EXACTLY what I needed in my life and fitness journey. The classes are quick and very effective and by the time you even realize it's all hard and kind of sucks...it's all over! The music keeps you going and the trainers really key in on specific things you need. It's just one bit supportive family.
My ONLY complaint is the website/app have a few bugs that they are working out but that is hardly a reason I would ever take anything away from this place.
10/10 recommend.

I really appreciate the inclusive and inspiring community the leadership creates at Burn. I see such a spectrum of fitness levels in class but everyone is being equally encouraged and respected. The instructors are organized and knowledgeable, offering modifications for every movement. Camps start on time. I am grateful that the child watch is right there and you can peek in the window between stations. The venue is clean and bright. The music helps the whole class stay energized. I am thankful for the opportunity to incorporate Burn into my fitness journey.

Just started back with my fitness routine @burnbootcamp and this has been an amazing option!! Being in my early 50's I was so happy that there is a lot of age range of the people in the workouts, all different kinds of body types and the trainers are amazing!! I don't feel out of place and feel welcome ! The workouts are hard but you can tailor them to your fitness level up or down! Highly recommend !!

If you are looking for a great workout that’s effective, different every time, fun and fits your needs this is the place! But the icing on the cake is the genuineness shown by the trainers. They actually care about your goals, needs, questions and they desire to see you make the lifestyle change. They encourage you to push yourself and motivate you to change. As a member I appreciate the accountability from not just the trainers but the other women. I’ve built lasting friendships and the community of women are amazing. October 2020 all of these traits have been consistent and unwavering. I have grown so much mentally, emotionally, and physically because of Burn Newport News. So come join and BLEED BLUE with us!
P.S. If you need child care no worries we got that too! The child care worker is amazing! I’ve never had a chance to use the service but everyone’s child comes out smiling with no bumps or bruises.

There is no comparison to Burn Boot Camp Newport News! The trainers are encouraging and knowledgeable and meet you where YOUR body is at when it comes to modifying exercises. 1 on 1 nutrition guidance and childcare are available. The community is incredible and you are guaranteed to walk out of camp feeling supported knowing a new friend! I am new to the area and am going into my second week at BBC Newport News Va on a monthly promo special. And well I have to say, I absolutely love it!! What is there to love?.. The workouts are awesome and always challenging, the equipment is all top notch, the staff is awesome, engaging and informative.. BUT, it’s the positive community vibes for me! Everyone is just rooting for you to keep going & growing :) I have felt so welcomed and motivated I decided to become a dedicated BBC member right off the bat! I started with Burn Boot Camp during a four week special in 2020 and have been going ever since! Best decision I could have made for myself! This gym is like no other, offering you not only variation in exercise with every day being a different workout but also a community of Burn sisters (and a few Burn brothers in the evening classes)who support you, no matter your fitness level! There is nothing that pumps you up more than hearing yells of support at 0500 not only from your trainer but also from your fellow Burn sisters! If you are hesitant, come and try out a camp....you won't regret it!!!

At first I was unsure when I tried it out. I hated working out! I was very out of shape! I want to lose weight and get more energy! I was embarrassed cause everyone was in shape and knew what to do. But everyone was so welcoming and they don’t care what level your at. I now enjoy going everyday and hate if I miss a day! I look forward to going after work and don’t feel embraced at all!! It’s helped my come off my depression meds all together and no longer feel depressed.

I have been a member of Burn for a little over two years and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I was hesitant at first, but immediately knew it was going to be perfect for me! I have met so many people that I now call friends. We support and encourage one another daily (inside of the gym and in our personal lives). The trainers educate, guide and develop you to be a stronger YOU -- physically, mentally and emotionally. If you are thinking about it, come and check it out. Wonderful “gym,” if you can call it that! It’s so much more. Burn functions more like a personal training session in a community format. The pre-determined workouts are very challenging, but also can be modified to your fitness level and/or experience. No matter which time of day you go, the workout is the same , so the flexibility is great.
I love the personal connections you make to the trainers and fellow attendees. Everyone was so welcoming and encouraging, and all able bodied body types and fitness levels are present. Five out of five would recommend!

I have tried other gyms that are rip offs or they ignore that I told them I had spine surgery and push me way past what is ok. I use to be a competitive athlete and I teach fitness in nutrition myself. However when I had surgery I completely let myself go physically and mentally for nearly 2 years and I turned to mush physically and mentally Jen has given me motivation at the right level to still get a great work out in and not have to lift a ton of weight.
Also this gym offers group work out sessions for cheaper than any other gym!!! And you can go everyday except Sunday vs other gyms it’s only 3 days a week. Like I said I’ve been to a few gyms to see if I like them and they have all been ripp offs or scams and this place is upfront transparent.
For a comparison one gym wanted $400 for a month 3 days a week, another was $1200 3 days a week thus place max 165 a month 6 days a week. Also they have a ton of discounts.
Also the other members all love it and have such a welcoming and positive vibe for everyone and new combers. Jen the trainer is amazing!!

Burn is absolutely the best change I have made in 2021. This is not like any gym I have joined before. After being out of the gym and noticing how sluggish I became after 2020 I decided try burn. After only one week I was hooked. This was the place I needed. There is a wonderful group of women in this camp. Encouraging, Ambitious and fun is how I would describe this place. I was a member and worked at a gym previously called Sport & Health, now One Life Fitness and I would pick BurnBootCamp any day! The staff has taken safety measures during the pandemic (limited camp spaces, cleaning procedures, temperature checks). I get a great 45 minute workout led by a trainer each time. Staff is friendly and takes the time to meet 1 on 1. You will not find the comradery at Burn at any other gym. Thanks for pushing me to be a better version of me BBC NN!

Love love love this gym. I started going a little over a year ago when my mental health was at its lowest and my self esteem was at it all time lowest. These woman lift me up constantly everyday. When I walk through those doors all worries disappear. I focus on me and my strength and determination to never get to where I was before. Before joining Burn in August of 2019, I had not worked out consistently for over 5 years. I went to a class with my sister (who was a member) and was instantly hooked! The workouts are fun, different and challenging. I love so many things about this gym- the trainers, the group encouragement and how tailored the workout can get based upon your specific level. I recently renewed my membership for another 18 months ( I initially only did a year). I couldn’t imagine my weekly routine without Burn and am so thankful to have found such a great community with AMAZING trainers leading the way!

I joined Burn in September. I saw a picture of myself from 10 years ago and I knew something had to change. I was looking into joining CrossFit, and then a friend of mine who went to Burn posted about the promotion. So I figured, why not? Literally nothing to lose! Day 2 .... I hobbled my way back in, so sore but excited. And I remember, being on the floor, thinking “Yep, I’m going to like it here”. 4 months later, I’m still addicted. The trainers push me because they know I can do better. The other camp members around you refuse to let you quit. Not only do you get a good workout, you’re taught about how to help your mental health, what you should be eating (today’s food is tomorrow’s fuel)!
Burn has not only been good for my physical health, I finally have energy, my headaches are slim to none now, I FEEL more positive and happy.
If you’re thinking of joining, don’t think, just do!

Update: it’s been over 2 years and I have come such a long way and I owe it to the atmosphere and support of everyone at Burn! Camp is fun, music is great, their sanitation process is COVID friendly, and I’m still going 6 days a week (not including yoga on Saturday). HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This might be long but I mean every word of what I'm about to say...
For years I did I had a membership to a popular at home work out program, and I would go a few weeks or a month at a time of being really motivated and working out every day. Then a month or two would go by without turning it on at all. It was difficult to find time to work out around two little ones always trying to get my attention and needing me to do something for them. Plus each program had it's own set of required equipment to buy. And if you wanted to get stronger, you had to keep buying heavier weights, and where am I supposed to store all of this stuff in my living room??
I joined Burn in January for one of their promotions and I was hooked. I loved showing up, dropping my kids in childcare, being told what to do, having accountability, limitless weight options, upbeat music, and an encouraging atmosphere. Then I picked up my kids and was done with my workout for the day.
Now we are in quarantine and I've gone back to some of those at home workouts that I used to do. Not only have I realized how much I enjoyed all of the above about Burn, but I am POWERING through these old workouts that used to kick my butt! I'm having a hard time making them challenging enough for me! Being at Burn everyday I didn't realize how much stronger I was getting because I was just using heavier weights or doing a few more reps each day. But having this baseline to go back to has really put my fitness level into perspective.
So. All that to say is if you want to seriously increase your strength and fitness, then join Burn Boot Camp!

Love love love Burn Boot Camp Newport News!!! I have been going 4/5 days a week since they opened in October and have become totally addicted! To date I’ve lost over 13lbs, 5.4% body fat, and 8.25 inches. I recently bought new jeans two sizes smaller! The head trainer Rachel is amazing. She brings tons of energy and makes every camp tons of fun. The members are encouraging and very supportive of one another. The childcare room is full of toys and activities for the children and the staff are so sweet. I never thought I’d say that going to the gym is fun but with this gym, it is!! I have always been an active person - between sports, running, weight lifting - but after I had my daughter, I quickly figured out that I could not spend 1.5 - 2 hours in the gym every day. I needed a solution that would allow me to still get in an effective workout, but also work for my overall family needs. I was introduced to Burn Bootcamp - and it was life changing. Burn is really unique and unlike any gym I’ve ever joined! I’ve been coming for almost 2 months and have gained strength, confidence, and am challenged/encouraged to do my best daily! If you are like me and hate going to the gym then Burn Boot Camp is perfect for you. Everything is laid out for you and all you have to do is show up. The instructor Rachel is amazing. She pushes and motivates you to try harder every class because she believes in you! It's so good that I have my 16 year old daughter going with me to the 5am class!!

If you are in need of a gym look no further! Burn Boot Camp is amazing and is more than just a gym! Before I started coming, I never consistently went the gym. I never really knew what I was doing at the gym and felt intimidated. Since coming to burn I work out 6 times a week! It’s always different, it’s always an encouraging atmosphere, and I’m always challenged! Not only does it offer great workouts, but Rachel does one on one meetings to reach your own personal goals. There’s really no reason to not come and try it out! But I will warn you once you try it out, you will be hooked!

I started here at the beginning of January as part of their Raise the Bar Challenge. I was hesitant at first because of my weight but everyone at the gym is amazing and so supportive! I'm easily one of the biggest ladies during my class time and have to do a lot of modifications on the workouts but I couldn't do it without the motivation and support of everyone else there. I struggle every workout but never give up because the trainers are always there to help me and checking on me. Rachel, the head trainer, is truly amazing and you can tell she really loves her job. She wants to do everything she can to help you reach your goals. I highly recommend this gym to anyone, especially to ladies who like me struggle with their plus size frames and are scared to get started. You will not find a better or more supportive group of people to workout with. Take advantage of the free focus meetings also for 1-on-1 consultations, measurements, advice and so much more. Just stop by and watch a class or drop in for a workout, trust me the energy of the class alone and all the high fives you get during a workout will make you want to come back for more! It's been less than a month for me and I can tell you already Burn Boot Camp is changing my life for the better. With the help of Burn I know I'll reach my weight loss goals this year!

Burn Bootcamp is not like any other workout you've had. Burn is centered around community, and in the most inclusive way you could imagine. The head trainer- Rachel Burke is very good, she captivates the room and makes sure that no time is wasted. Burn is worth the money. You not only get free childcare, you get a community of women who are seeking the same goals, an inclusive experience that doesn't intimidate but is still challenging. To be clear, Burn is still a challenge. You gain knowledge on nutrition and have open dialog on what is and isn't working. I highly recommend Burn for anyone seeking a female friendly place to workout.
