An amazing gym with people of all ages and body types! All of the trainers are fantastic, kind, and motivating!! One of the biggest things that stands out to me is that the trainers come and work out even when they’re not teaching the class. This shows me that the programming works, and the staff is dedicated to the process! The workouts are unique every single time. The coaches are phenomenal and help you adapt any exercise to your ability. And they take the time to truly help you reach your goals. I have been with Burn Williamsburg for nearly 6 months and hooked on it since Day 1. The atmosphere and community they have built is unbelievably admirable - warm, welcoming, encouraging, accessible. All staff are kind and knowledgeable, including the child care and front desk folks. The workouts are challenging, but they’re meant to be. The trainers are entirely equipped to meet you where you are and coach you through any and all movements. I have especially enjoyed the combination of cardio/HIIT and strength training. I’ve been going to Burn for about 5 weeks now and I really enjoy it bc I need to get out of my house to workout since I have young kids and homeschool. It’s been very helpful getting that in and have met a lot of really nice people who are there encouraging each other no matter what level you’re starting from. The trainers are very helpful and motivating, every time I go I say this was the hardest one yet…but it’s a good hard! Love the floating floor too bc with knee problems it’s very helpful.

The Burn Boot Camp Community is great! It will definitely work you out...it was just not for me. I personally felt cramped on the workout floor between other people working out and equipment. I was also driving over an hour to workout as well. If a wall was knocked out and the floor expanded...I would consider it worth it. Also, move the cubbies to not interfere with equipment/exercise. I was going through an obstacle course just to get some water since you can't have it on the workout floor. Despite my personal criticisms I would still recommend it.

All trainers made me feel welcome from day one, the training is hard but the motivation is top notch. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and help you throughout the class by constantly scanning the floor. 1 month in and I am already seeing results. It transforms not only your boy but your mindset. You get unlimited focus meetings where you can talk to a trainer one on one on any goals, concerns or just ask them any questions. The childcare is a lifesaver and my son has so much fun. I love that I can focus on myself for 45 minutes and know my son is in good hands.

I have had a great experience with Burn Bootcamp Williamsburg. I hesitated to give it a try for years, because I tend to be a little intimidated in groups. I haven’t had that experience here. It’s really a gym for everyone. At Burn, everyone is so welcoming. The trainers are there and help me to better perfect my form or get in another rep when I don’t think I can do anymore (or explain the exercise because I might have zoned out during their demonstration, it happens). The other Burn members are friendly and encouraging. I joined almost four weeks ago and I’m already feeling so much better. I also have a lot of work to do to get to where I’d like to be, but I know with the help from trainers and the upbeat energy I feel when I walk in the door I’ll get there. I’m finally excited to get back to my healthy, active self.

I have personally been struggling with strength issues, weight , and overall wellness when I turned 50 four years ago . The decline wasn’t as noticeable at first . Living a very active life and businesses I own, it became apparent I was not as conditioned as I once was.
I seen an ad for Burn last year and I actually had the pleasure of meeting one of the instructors around the same time . I chatted about my prior athleticism as a teen and young adult and was intrigued by the concept Burn had cultivated.
I finally decided it was time to get back in the game of life and they had a trial month going on when I signed up . It was the best decision I made . I am dedicated to my health and it’s one I gladly invested in.
The atmosphere and the energy all the instructors bring to the table is addicting. I never dread going to my 5 am and 615 am classes . The energy the women and men that walk through those doors for the same reason or another makes me want to keep coming back!! Thank you Burn for giving me another opportunity at an active energetic second half of my life !

I’m out of state and tried the gym for the first time today. It was not what I would consider a “boot camp” hits style workout. They concentrated only on upper body with minimal cardio. They also did not give me a trial pass and made me pay for the first class. Not what I was expecting for a HITS workout.

Fantastic gym! I've been a gym snob for awhile now and I must say these guys completely exceeded my expectations. The workouts are killer but also adaptable based off your needs. I've been looking for a group fitness gym that incorporates both weight lifting and cardio and I finally found it. The workouts are always different so you won't get stagnant with your goals. Burn has transformed me – not just in terms of weight loss (90 lbs lost), but also a new found passion for working out and focusing on a stronger me – in all aspects.
A year ago, I wasn’t physically, mentally or emotionally happy; the pandemic did a number on me and I was lost. I was approaching 40 years old, heavier than I had ever been before, even after 3 pregnancies, and slowly dying inside. On July 1st, 2021, I made a commitment to myself to change that – how? - I wasn’t sure but I was going to figure it out. I started slowly by focusing on what I was eating, after all, I had lost a lot of weight doing that before.
2 ½ months in, I was moving along with the weight loss after getting control of the food I was eating (and removing alcohol) but I yearned for more. After talking to a friend, she suggested I try a Burn Challenge that was coming up. She said it was the ONE thing she was able to stick with for over 2 years.
That resonated – that was my life – do something for a period of time and then get bored or unmotivated so if it was something that she could stick with, maybe that would be the case for me? I wasn’t really convinced Burn was for me, but I was willing to give the Challenge a try – it was a nominal amount and if I didn’t like it, it was not a big deal. Ha! Joke was on me.
I fell in love with my first camp. I couldn’t walk or sit down because I was so sore 😊, but I felt so very welcome; felt like I was at home. Nine months later, here I am at the 6:15am camps, 5 days a week and usually at the 8am Saturday camps. I share my story not to boast about the 90 pounds I have lost but about the confidence, strength, muscles, emotional balance, Burn friends, Burn family, longevity of life I have gained.

I've been with Burn for three years now. I went on an adventure to find a place that had a fun atmosphere, diverse work outs, modifications for pregnancy and a place to build friendships. I tried crossfit, another gym and pure barre in hopes to find a place that could handle women who have had children and help them during a pregnancy. I felt most comfortable at Burn and at home. Everyone was/is so welcoming and encouraging. I started in Newport News and worked out during a pregnancy where they gave modifications as needed and kept an eye on me in case I needed them and made me feel safe. Because their membership is universal, I am able to go to different locations. Williamsburg became my home gym about a year ago. I was of course weary of switching gyms since I had relationships in Newport News but they made the transition easy and welcomed me just the same. Since then I've been able to travel and go to other locations in different states so I don't miss a workout! Last year was slow for me. I gave birth and had a major surgery and several minor surgeries and Burn was so accommodating when it came to freezing my membership as needed. Once I was ready to come back, I was given modifications until I felt comfortable doing them without. I've gained muscle and confidence and lost inches. I always talk about Burn and encourage anyone to come with me! Burn also allows teenagers starting at 13 years old with their parent. My two older children join me at the gym now and honestly, it is such a great bonding time and they have a blast! Would recommend over and over again!

The head trainer, Jason, creates weekly protocols that cover everything, but it's NEVER the same workout twice. It's always new, fun, and interesting so you are never bored and always motivated to come to camps. I've been training at Burn consistently over the last three years and have never regretted or been disappointed in a workout. All of the trainers are encouraging and knowledgeable. They will push you to work harder than you think you can but never in an obnoxious or overbearing way. In my experience, all members, regardless of size, shape, or athletic ability are met where they are and challenged to do their best and improve to their individual desire and ability. Other benefits of Burn are the variety of camp times offered, the included child care, the personal consults to review performance and goals, and the clean environment. I have never been a part of a community, and sort of family, which is so encouraging and supportive and yet at the same time challenging (in all the right ways and for all good goals) … apart from my church. I love this gym! The trainers are top drawer. The clients and friends I train with are superbly supportive. Burn Williamsburg is far and away the best gym I’ve ever belonged to. The workouts are quick and effective, childcare is top notch and the other members are like family. Everyone is kind and encouraging, spurring one another on to reach their goals. I really can't say enough about how much I enjoy Burn Boot Camp!! Jason, the head trainer, is very knowledgeable and absolutely incredible at what he does. I’m only a few weeks into Burn Bootcamp in Williamsburg and so far it has been a big game changer in my fitness life. I have never ever been able to stick to a workout regime until I found Burn a little over a year ago. The unique combination of encouragement, supportive environment and amazing workouts added with included childcare and monthly nutrition and focus meetings with a trainer, I have learned to love exercise and to push myself to improve and be stronger and healthier every day. GENTLEMAN, read the fine print and ask questions! My girlfriend signed up for an 18 month membership. She asked me to join with her so I started my 14 day trial period. I have to say that I really enjoyed the classes, the atmosphere, the instructors, everything. It's a great place... unless you're a man.
On my final free day, I learned that men are only welcome to attend 2 class times in the evenings and one on the weekend. This is out of about 9 classes each day and one on the weekend. I learned this by happenstance. No one actually told me when I was given my paperwork to sign up. Thankfully, I found out before I signed a contract.
The reason this bothers me is that men are charged the same membership fees as women but only have a fraction of the opportunity to attend classes. Unfortunately I need some flexibility to exercise and at over $100 per month, I can't really afford to hold two gym memberships so I didn't sign up.
My girlfriend did inquire about this practice. The employee that she spoke to said that it was a corporate policy and many of the employees didn't understand it. I mean, I get it, the whole, "safe space" thing. But then charge men accordingly. I'd happily go for the appropriate price equal to the number of classes available to me. Just a thought.

By far the most motivating and friendliest gym around. The classes are intense but Jason provides modifications if needed. It’s a class setting, but with the benefits of personal training. The boot camp style is challenging and makes me feel accomplished. And work workouts are never the same - so no boredom will set in.
I drive 30 minutes each way to go here and it’s more than worth the drive. My kids enjoy the KidWatch, which is included in your membership.

Unlike conventional gyms, Burn offers efficient workouts, nutrition advice and a great community (bonus: free childcare for moms with kids at home). I have been attending 5-6 camps per week since I joined BBC Williamsburg three months ago and I am yet to meet a workout I don't like.
