During the Xmas 2021 they stop practice for whole month and no makeup classes but all the families should paid that month and even not half payment. We should paid in full without service otherwise your daughter will be out and not counting till the show!! CS is rude and no information they have, just the manger and can’t catch her all the time!
I believe if you care about your academy should train the whole staff and any payment should have a service, we’re not a bank provide money, we’re a family want to our kids the best.

A fantastic studio for all levels and ages! We have been with CVDA for over a decade and absolutely love this studio. The teachers are knowledgeable and educate and equip dancers with the fundamentals of dance. The price point is very reasonable compared to other studios in the area. When we started, my young performers loved knowing they were performing on the same stage as the Richmond Ballet, a priceless experience. The office team will work with you as best they can to help any situation. The dancers live the values and form a supportive family. I am excited to see in their new location all of the new adult offerings from adult modern to barre, plus all of the new space!

My child started at CVDA 4 years ago after dancing elsewhere for about 7 years, and my only regret is not making the move sooner. The quality of instruction is superb, and the teachers really care about the students and their development. CVDA’s fees are comparable to other locations that we checked out. In fact, for recital costumes, we’re paying the same amount now in 2024 that we were paying back in 2019 at her former studio! I can’t say enough good things about CVDA.

My four children and I have been at CVDA for sixteen years. My son has gone on to become a professional dancer while dance is more of a hobby for my three daughters.

It has been a wonderful place to watch my children grow. Ms. Anne works hard to create a diverse and inclusive studio where kindness is preeminent. Kindness always. She is also a supporter of Brown Ballerinas for Change, where she hosts a spring fundraiser for BBFC each year. She truly believes in the power of dance and it being an art that is for everybody and every body. In fact, BBFC was founded by four CVDA dancers in 2020 as a way to make classical ballet accessible to all communities by offering tuition-free ballet classes.

When my husband passed away unexpectedly in 2022, our CVDA family wrapped their arms around me and my children to make sure we felt supported and encouraged. There is a family atmosphere that is welcoming for everyone who enters the studio.

In the recital this past weekend, my 7 year old daughter literally fell flat on her face during a solo in one of her dances while on stage. You know what she did...she got up, looked at her teacher who was cheering her on from the orchestra pit and she kept dancing. This is the resilience my children have learned both at home and at CVDA.

I could not have found a better dance studio for my family.

We consider the teachers, the staff, the students and the parents, all family and couldn't be happier with the experience that we have had. We moved to the area 7 years ago and after interviewing at several studios we found out home at CVDA. Anne the studio owner is great to work with- she is kind, she cares for the students and has created a great program. The teaching staff is great- they meet students where they are and encourage growth. The prices for classes and costumes are lower than other studios in the area (we checked). You have the choice of standard dance classes, company and competition. My 15 year old daughter does all three and loves it. I also love the parents at the studio- they are supportive to each other and always willing to jump in and help. I can honestly say that we have been very happy at CVDA and would recommend it to anyone.

I love taking classes at this studio. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. I have learned so much over the years, and have had so much fun. The instruction is incredible, and I would highly recommend this studio to anyone interested in dance.

Me and my 7 year old daughter love this place!!! She took ballet/tap last year and this year she is trying hip-hop! The prices are affordable and the teachers are amazing! I especially love the final show at the carpenter theatre!! Would def. recommend this place!
