We’ve been at Central Virginia Gymnastics for about a year now and we have really enjoyed it. The owners and coaches are very easy to work with. The coaches for the young children are patient and kind. It’s a very busy place and highly sought after so it can be hard to get in. However, even with that we have asked to switch classes and they were able to accommodate quickly. Our kids love it there and we have been very happy. Pricing is reasonable as well. All classes are after school hours only so if there is one thing we could change it would be for them to have homeschool hours. They are at capacity and hopefully one day we will see them expand to a larger space with extended hours.

Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.

One. The “coaches” do not do anything but stand there. Basically an expensive baby sitter.

Two. My daughter is six years old and just started three weeks ago and myself and another mom have asked multiple times if the coaches could show the girls what to do on the bars, mats etc and we have been ignored and dismissed. So my daughter has started to break down in tears and even went as far as spraining two of her fingers because she is confused and frustrated because she doesn’t know what to do and gets no help from the coaches.

Three. If you bring your concerns to the OWNER, she will tell you that there is nothing she can do and to talk to the coaches.

So after asking the coaches to help then asking the owner. I have been ignored and dismissed. Since I have already paid for the month of April I guess I will continue to bring her for the expensive babysitting classes till May.

The gym is clean and well equipped. The coaches are very friendly and knowledgeable. My 5 year-old loves gymnastics and is learning how to control her body and build strength. It is great to see the more advanced gymnasts train at the same time as her session. Highly recommend!

Central Virginia Gymnastics is a warm, welcoming environment full of nurturing coaches ready to help gymnasts build skills on any level. They are always very positive and helpful when you have any questions about how to help your little one advance their skills outside of the gym. I would highly recommend this gym to any family looking for a new home gym!

What a positive experience for a young girl. This school is supportive, positive, fun while being serious about training young athletes. They aren't about wearing an expensive uniform or writing a check every time you walk in the door. Great atmosphere and open to anyone in the community!
