I joined a month ago and have thoroughly enjoyed every single class. An avid runner, I thought I was in decent shape. Pilates told me different! 🤪 Definitely such a very good workout for someone who wants toning exercise. It is such a challenge yet fun. Pilates classes have improved my core strength & strength all over. My muscle tone from one month of classes is MUCH greater, I am always sore (the good kind!) and I have even increased my weights lifting amounts at the Y with ease. Incorporating Pilates classes 2-3x a week, along with running and weight lifting 1-2x a week has been the best decision for toning. Pilates has beginner & lower level classes. You can move up for more of a challenge. My favorite classes are CardioSculpt and Suspend, Reformer. Sherry is a wonderful instructor. Everyone is so kind and welcoming. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Where to start! I am a hot yoga instructor for many years now, and I was trying to find another exercise that would pair well with my Yoga. Venturing into the club Pilates experience has been extraordinary more than I expected. All the teachers are very well educated with their students bodies. These are things that I look for being an instructor myself. All the teachers are very patient and their knowledge of the equipment is superior to say the least. I’m not gonna mention teachers names because they all offer something to your experience in a different way, but my experiences are with the Greenbrier and the Hanberry since I live in this part of Hampton roads 🕉️

I have been going to CP Great Bridge for 2 years now. My favorite class so far is Center and Balance. I absolutely recommend Jessica, Merri, Emma and Alli for this class. If you are into the more intense classes, definitely Jan, Brian and Sibel are your go to Instructors. Regardless, any of instructors at CPGB for Flow 1 have been great. Both Sherri’s, Kayla, Lisa and Sally as well as any substitute instructors I have had the pleasure of meeting have been fantastic. All the Administrators are a delight to talk to as well. Between the once a week Pilates class and my once a month Chiro appointments, the back pain issues I started both for have not returned. CP is a wonderful way to be introduced to Reformer Pilates to anyone. As well as, to build up on your Pilates expertise with their upper level classes. Please do not let the reformer or equipment deter you from trying out an introduction class. You definitely feel the difference between a Mats Pilates and a Reformer Pilates class. One definitely experiences a more personal feel at Club Pilates.

I’ll be honest ​- I was not a yoga or pilates person. I didn’t get it, and figured it just wasn’t for me. But at the start of the year, I decided to give pilates a shot (fully expecting to cancel my membership after 3 months). Fast forward two months, and boom ​- full-blown pilates obsession. I was hooked!

Not only am I stronger and more toned than I’ve ever been (hello abs I never knew I had!), but the real surprise? I’ve learned so much about how our bodies actually move and work ​- and that’s been my favorite part. That’s 100% thanks to the rockstar instructors.

Whether it’s Sibel, who channels her inner drill sergeant and 'no-filter' comedian to keep you sweating and laughing; Brian, who somehow convinces you mid-shake-and-burn that this is actually “fun”; sweet Allie, whose calm, soothing tone tricks your muscles into doing the hardest work of their lives; or Sherry F., who keeps things real, plays the best music, and brings the perfect mix of energy and chill ​- these people are magic.

So yeah, I came for a 3-month trial and stayed for the amazing community. Grateful for this little pilates family of mine ​- my core (and heart) are stronger because of it.

I went for the free class & I was hooked. I signed up for the unlimited class package & I usually go 2 or 3 times a week. The teachers are great & explain how to do everything. The classes are 50 minutes and cover a variety of stretches & exercises. I am an early riser & go to the 6AM class & it is a great way to start the day.

Definitely worth it. I'm a hot yogi, but after a surgery a few years ago, I couldn't keep up with hot yoga. I recommend pilates, do an intro first, but I am loving the small movements to really focus on different areas. I promise, you will feel your workout the next day. I paid for 3 months unlimited because I dive in head first. No regrets. Just listen to your body and be conscious of movements and always make modifications if needed. There is NO competition in the studio. You'll love the aftermath ❤️❤️❤️

Club Pilates Great Bridge is not my home studio. Whenever I am in Chesapeake I try to make at least one class. I have never been disappointed at the skill of the instructors or the level of work. The atmosphere the instructors, management, and students create always makes me feel at home.

I took a class with Sherry for the first time. She kicked my tushy!! She gave clear ques and gently corrected me when I didn't get something quite right.

If you live in the Chesapeake area, I highly recommend Club Pilates, Great Bridge. And if you are visiting, drop in for a class. You won't be disappointed

I have MS and have balance issues. Not knowing what I know today, I picked a flow class. I couldn’t keep up. I made it through the class, but I was completely dizzy and motion sick. I couldn’t even get off the reformer machine. I thought there’s no way I can do Pilates. Looking back, it would have been helpful if I had been told how intense this class was.
From that point forward, I started asking questions and inquiring how I can help myself. Everyone was informative, helpful and very kind. It was even suggested that I do several private sessions with Sherry. She’s been great!
I’m still slow and sometimes struggle moving myself and things around, but I’ve learned to adjust and making modification's when needed.
All things considered, I’ve been pleased with my Pilates experience. I would not have continued if I didn’t get the support I needed. They are a wonderful group of women I’m pleased to have met.

I have been going to Club Pilates since 2020. This has been the longest I have stuck with any workout program! I started with four times a month moved to 8, and now have the unlimited membership. I enjoy the small class sizes, the instructors are very knowledgeable and personable. I have also done private sessions, which I loved. I have gotten to know some great people, and we have get togethers outside of Pilates. My body is stronger, and Club Pilates has helped me in other areas such as horseback riding. I am a 55 yo empty nest mom. Consider myself active, but not “fit.” My husband and I joined Club Pilates together a little over a year ago. It is truly the first form of exercise I’ve ever found that I miss when I don’t do it! The instructors are helpful and amazing, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the other members are supportive. I’ve done close to 100 classes now, and have definitely noticed physical changes and improvements in strength, flexibility, and posture. I feel less stiff and achy in the mornings, and my chronic foot and ankle pain from flat feet has dramatically improved! I only wish I had joined sooner!!

Club Pilates at Great Bridge (Hanbury), Hilltop and Courthouse have great instructors who explain the movements and what body part they are focused on with emphasis on breathing. I lost 50 lbs doing Pilates 3 times a week for a year and feel better. Alli, Brian, Kayla, Jan, Jessica, Sally are amazing!

It was my very first time doing Pilates so I didn’t know what to expect but it was a good experience overall. The girl at the front desk was very helpful when I arrived she explained the process thoroughly, then she told me what I needed to do once in the back. She grabbed a mat and foam roller for me and also told the instructor I was new. The instructor went at a steady pace and told us how to use the equipment. I was pleasantly surprised at how much of strength training it is but it was well worth the visit. I got a good workout and I also signed up for more classes!! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because it is a little pricey in my opinion but still worth the experience.

I’ve been attending Pilates classes for 7 months and absolutely love this studio. The instructors are knowledgeable and the rest of the staff are fantastic - attentive, communicative, and responsive. At times it can be difficult booking a class (this is a testament to how great they are so people keep going) but staff is very helpful and do their best to get you into the class. They really do go above and beyond for their clients! Also, they offer several free & fun Pilates events around town with our local businesses. Definitely recommend!

I have been a member since July 2024 and I specifically joined to help prepare my body for knee replacement surgery in Feb. The staff and instructors here have been extremely helpful and supportive. They made sure I was able to not only do the exercises but enjoy the outcome in the end. Some things had to be modified but I can guarantee that if you put in the work, ask questions and have real expectations for yourself, you will be beyond satisfied. I’ve finally found a workout I love! The level one reformer flow class checks all the boxes for me: tough enough that I get results, not so tough that I dread it. Full body workout, and I’ve gained strength and flexibility. I’m not a sweaty red mess when I leave (though if you want that, they’ve got it) - I can do a class on my lunch hour and then go about my day. I’ve done 25 of the same class (several instructors) and never had the same workout twice. They offer several class types at several levels, so the variety is huge.

As for the general atmosphere and vibe: clean, very friendly, relaxed, and not intimidating. I was wary of the whole scary Pilates girl stereotype and I don’t think I’ve come across one person that fits it. All ages, shapes, and sizes here. My mom joined with me and loves it too!

App is super easy to use for reserving classes and the schedule is well done - every class and level is offered at a variety of times, so you’re not stuck at 5am every day for your favorite class. Their schedule starts around 5am and last class is at 8:30pm, so lots of options.

I love it here so much! This is my first time doing group classes and it’s been so fun. Location is also amazing - you can go to class, grab a coffee, get your nails done and pick up the groceries!

I have been coming to Club Pilates for the last 2 1/2 years. This is my Zen place. The staff here is amazing. The instructors are top notch. I’ve had two knee replacements since joining and if it weren’t for this place, I don’t think my recovery would have been as successful as it has been. I am more flexible now than I was in my 20s and thankfully, my balance is improving in spite of the fact that I used to be called Weeble’s wobbles growing up. CLUB PILATES keeps me in check! It’s harder to make excuses because it goes on their calendar, as well as mine. I love that I have a variety of classes to choose from. I can also change it up as needed for my personal schedule, with ample notice. You have the benefits of a personal coach, but with a small group of others who are there with you side-by-side. The instructors each have something special about the way they teach, so it’s never boring, and I am challenged to set personal goals. They illegally charged my card 6 months later after telling me over the phone they would cancel my last month of membership for me since the classes were not offered at a convenient time. When I initially signed up I explained to the representative that the only times I could attend would be 7:30am and she assured me that this would not be a problem yet it was. I was waitlisted my first month joining because this time slot was never available. I was always waitlisted and never made it off except for I believe one time. They had to double my credits the following month for this very reason. At the end of my second month I looked at the schedule for the third month to see if I could book my 7:30am spots in advance and they didn’t have any 7:30am classes available that month. The representative told me they would just go a head and end my membership and I wouldn’t have to pay the early termination fee either. 6 months later they attempted to charge me for a full month. I called them because I just knew this was a system issue. They told me they did this because I never completed my 3rd month and they gave me the option to pay $100 early termination fee. I explain to them that they agreed during the last week of my second month to cancel over the phone and that I emailed them before I called to ask them to cancel explaining how I was misled about the scheduling and I could not find any 7:30am classes for my third month. Of course they wanted something in writing and proof that this was stated to me over the phone. Typical move of a predator💁🏾‍♀️ resorting to asking you to present them proof in writing that a representative 😒stated something over the phone. I trusted the representative I spoke to over the phone that they would cancel as agreed. They sent me to collections. I got a harassing phone call from Swift Funds stating that I owe $594. If I would have finished my last month I would have paid $169. If they would have told me no instead of telling me they would just cancel when I terminated early I would have paid $100. Now that they sent it to collections they tacked on excessive fees, so I owe them $594. I do not owe them this money because they agreed to cancel but then backtracked

Update‼️ Sooo I just searched all their emails and apparently they were trying to charge me every month there after but I didn’t notice it until 6 months later because I keep my card locked and only open the card when I authorize a transaction. I disregard any emails from them because for the most part they were just advertising their classes and events. I wouldn’t have figured that they would still try to charge me after they agreed to end my membership that second month. Either way they need to change their business model because right now they operate of the breakage business model.

Though it can be pricey, I absolutely love it here. It could use an expansion but I enjoy my workouts with every instructor I schedule with! Everyone who works here is so kind and sweet. I pay for the unlimited membership with military discount which is $179 per month. And I can schedule up to 15 classes. Which is very helpful considering classes get filled very quickly! I make sure I book up to 12-15 classes. So after one class, I go try to book another afterwards. They’re also very understanding when it comes to having to cancel.

While visiting for the holidays, I contacted this location to book a class as I have an unlimited membership from another state. The front desk indicated that I would not be able to take a 1.5 reformer class as the instructor would need proof that I have taken the class previously. I shared that I have taken the class and disclosed my membership status. The young lady stated she would speak to the instructor and call me back. Upon the returned phone call, I was told that I could not attend. Fortunately, I was able to book a session at a different studio in the area without the hassle of proving qualifications.

I’ve been attending CPGB for over a year now and this is the first place I have ever felt comfortable exercising daily and being cheered on. The staff here is top notch, professional, and relatable. I’ve never enjoyed working out more than I do now that I am doing pilates. It has truly helped my physical and mental health. Love you CPGB!

This place is amazing. The whole vibe of the place, everyone is incredibly friendly. The classes are brilliantly taught, with expert teachers. My best experience so far with them was being able to do exercise with them safely throughout my whole pregnancy journey until the day before I had my baby and they gave appropriate and safe modifications as i progressed throughout my journey. The front desk are the face of the team and their warm welcome just sets your own positive wellbeing for the rest of the day. Thank you guys!
