Personal Training & Pilates Studio offers an integrated training approach that encourages clients to explore all avenues of lifetime fitness β€” blending traditional weight lifting, functional training, cardiovascular training, Pilates, and yoga. Our goal is to address all aspects of wellness including fitness, nutrition, and stress reduction. We offer both in-person and virtual Private & Small Group Pilates & Functional training.

LOVE this place. All of the instructors are great. I like that there can be no more than 6 in the Pilates class allowing me to feel safer with all the different bugs out there. Everyone is super nice and welcoming. Highly recommend.

The best Pilates and personal training studio in the area. Don't waste your time at one of the fast food franchise national locations that pop up then disappear where the trainers change every few weeks. Ruth and her team are the best. They take the time to really get to know you and your needs. They have a wide variety of programs from private classes to group fitness to small group training to functional fitness to online classes and much more.
Pilates isn't just for women. My dad credits pilates classes with improving his health and fitness and getting him off most of his medications.

Love CORE! I’ve been a client for almost 5 years. They work with all ages and all fitness levels. Super welcoming, no judgement. They also partnered with my rehab team when I shattered my ankle after being a client about 9 months. It’s thanks to CORE trainers that I walk completely normally and can even run… WITH 13 pins and 2 plates in my ankle. Worth it!

I want to work our but I need outside accountability. CORE gives me this and in doing so has brought some many amazing people in my life. When you sign up and perhaps miss because work is demanding, your group members or trainer call or text. It has been so much more than I ever imagined. I had only belonged to national big gyms where no one knows your name. Cheers!

My trainers are so kind but motivating. It is hard work but a real sense of accomplishment when you are done!

If you are on the fence about trying I urge you to give it a try.

I have been going at CORE regularly since last September. I am beyond happy with the workout I get there every time. Everyone is extremely friendly and make sure that you are happy and achieve your goals. I love working out with Dagmar and Shara, but everyone is just lovely. CORE - in particular, Dagmar, Ruth, and Shara - changed my quality of life for the better. I feel like I can move around the world painlessly and with lots of confidence. I spent years putting my body through grueling workouts until I plateaued and gave up exercise altogether. I gained weight, was in pain, and being chained to my desk added to my list of physical and mental ailments. Not to mention my tension-filled shoulders that were raised to my ears didn’t make things easier. In other words, I was weak, out of shape, and beyond stressed - and the thought being in this condition before 30 made me realize I needed a change. CORE became my place to rebuild myself with a stronger and well-rounded foundation. Whether through Pilates, functional, stretching, and the power plate - Dagmar and Shara nursed me back to health. Always kind, yet stern enough to push anyone through any work, Dagmar and Shara became the structure I so desperately needed. Ruth’s Pilates classes have been my motivation to keep Pilates in my life as much as possible. I love this place so much, and I think everyone needs a place like CORE where you instantly feel part of a larger family that genuinely wants to see you win.

I have been going to Core now for many years - functional, Pilates Reformer and balance training. They helped me through a knee replacement and have always been willing to adapt as needs arose. They have been a second family to me. We moved 4 hours away after Covid hit and I was really afraid I would lose them. However, they started virtual training using Zoom so I have been able to continue training with Renee and my same group. They have really helped keep me sane during these troubling times!

Walking in the door to work with Ruth Gordon and her team at CORE Personal Training and Pilates was the best fitness decision I ever made. I now have my best body ever at 40! I never dreamed I would have these results. I had worked with countless trainers and tried many programs before but never got the results I saw from CORE. When I reached out to her to look into private training, I worried this would be just another waste of time and money. I was completely wrong. I was ready and so were they. Ruth and her team knew how to push my fitness level while making sure I was safe and working with what my body could handle. They took the time to help understand where I needed help, support and knowledge when it came to food and diet plus they were always there to step up when I needed extra encouragement, motivation or even rest. They understand that fitness and staying healthy is a complete package and without them I would not have gotten these results. My time with them took an interesting turn when after a year of working with them I shattered my ankle slipping on stairs. I made sessions with them a part of my rehab once cleared and then worked with my PT team to help me regain movement. I was told I would never run again and I wouldn’t have full use of my ankle. My PT team was blown away at the progress Ruth helped me make. I just ran 20+ minutes for the first time. Not much for some but huge when you have 13 pins and two plates in your ankle. I’m so grateful I was training with her when this happened!

I’ve been working out here for 8 years. I never really liked big box gyms and CORE is an excellent match for me. ALL of the trainers here are elite trainers and everyone is welcome here. If you want results this is the place. They also offer online classes which are fun and super affordable. I also love the self serve vibe plate training. This place is great! A fun, friendly, results oriented gym. You should definitely give them a try.

Awesome personalized training sessions with Jeremy. He tailored our sessions to my fitness level and career as well as introduced me to tools to keep the benefits I am earning.

The whole team at CORE is a unique and tight knit group. It’s low key and friendly. Whether it’s group classes or one on one sessions, they enjoy bringing clients up a notch.

The yoga sessions (in person or over zoom) are geared to each person’s ability and desired result. The 45 min stretch class on saturdays is a great way to wind down especially as I get older. The instructor gives personalized attention so I know I am getting the most out of it.

During Covid I gave Zoom workouts a try with Melanie and was pleasantly surprised with how effective they were. It was a great accommodation to my needs and schedule and I got a great workout. CORE Personal Training and Pilates Studio is HIGHLY recommended. I started working with Ruth and her team in February 2020, just prior to the pandemic shut down. During those first couple of weeks in studio (prior to the shutdown), I got a baseline of measurements and a couple of in studio private sessions. Upon shutdown, Ruth quickly transitioned her team to provide virtual (Zoom) workout sessions, which have been equally as challenging as those done in-studio. I am gleeful to report that since starting with the CORE team in February I have lost 14.5 pounds and more of a surprise (and delight) is the inches that have melted off all measurements taken in February – thighs, waist, hips, arms, etc. I not only feel stronger, but I am stronger. Needless to say, working out with Ruth and her team is the best thing I have done for myself in 2020 (wish I had done it sooner). Go sign up, you will be happy you did.

I have trained at CORE Personal Training and Pilates Studio since the day it opened, and I would not hesitate recommending it to anyone looking for a fitness facility. During the quarantine, Ruth Gordon, Owner, has found a way to ensure that her clients are able to continue their workouts via Zoom. While being at home I have continued to work out twice a week with Melanie Guadalupe. Mel pushes me and does not let me give up on myself. For years my upper body strength has been lacking. During this time at home Mel has worked on that, and I can actually say I see and feel a difference. The trainers that Ruth hires are very knowledgeable and work with their clients to ensure that whatever is done, is done safely. I have had the privilege to work not only with Melanie, but with Ruth, Dagmar, Shara and Colleen. I would recommend each and everyone of them. As I said I would recommend this facility to anyone.

I have been a client since it opened and was hesitant about virtual training but I get a challenging awesome workout as if being in the studio. The small group classes at CORE mean that the trainer always has time to work on each person's particular needs, whether it's a slight alteration in your stance or a modification because of a back problem, the trainers at CORE always know what you need to be successful. If you want a run of the mill gym experience, try Gold's gym. I have really enjoyed every class I've taken here. I trained with Chris for about 6 months and he always kept the workouts interesting. He is MAT certified and helped me increase mobility in several problem areas on my body that I've had for years. I'll use the knowledge I've learned here to structure my workouts for years I'm sure.
The people are very welcoming and it's a very non judgemental atmosphere. Yoga classes on Monday with Jennifer are a real treat. The studio is small so even in a class setting, you feel like you are getting one on one treatment.

I have been training at CORE for nearly 3 years now. I had a neck injury following a minor car accident, and my Physical Therapist recommended pilates. The first thing to note is that it is a small, personalized place, where the trainers are REAL TRAINERS and not 22 year-old meat heads with no life experience at all. The most important thing about CORE are is the staff. The trainers are experts in their areas, truly listen to you and sincerely care about your health and well being. The studio is clean, modern, inviting and warm, and Ruth, Dagmar, Shara, Chris and Colleen are sincere people. The workouts are as intense as you need and want them to be, but the feeling of being heard and cared about is unequal to any gym in the area. I can't see myself in any other gym, no matter the cheap cost. Why risk your health?
