I would love to go here more often because I love the sculpt classes, but every time I do I feel disappointed. It’s gross and dirty. I really think they need to allow more time between classes to sweep and wipe down floors. It’s absolutely disgusting to be walking into the prior class’s sweat covered floor with hair and other debris. My other issue is how packed they allow it to get. Last time I left a class early because I felt way too crowded and claustrophobic.

It was my first C2 Yoga class at this specific location, and I guess I wasn't aware of the "30 minutes in the lockers after class" rule in place, so I was ambushed and almost got kicked out by an instructor who had to go because of her kids' school schedules, which I understand completely, but at the same time, I felt ambushed and taken back by the way she has explained to me regarding this rule. In addition, I also felt blamed by the instructor for making her feel rushed, even though I wasn't aware of this rule and could have been explained clearly and respectively. At the other locations, I have not dealt with this issue at all, hence, there were many instructors in class in the home location studio I usually go to, and on top of that, the door was locked so I didn't see any point in the ambush I have received this morning. Overall, the classes were great here, but I would probably just stick with my home studio location for the time being.

This is not my first class here and I really wanted to give a better rating. However, I’ve never experienced such a crowded class before. It was uncomfortable and obviously overbooked. Makes it feel like a cash grab and has lost the community charm since they opened up to class pass. Newcomers and members be aware. Come early and expect to be outrageously cramped. Overall the instructor was engaging and had great energy. Such a shame. I won’t be back.

I had an incredible experience at CorePower Yoga! The space is clean and peaceful, creating a calming atmosphere as soon as you step in.

The instructor, Cory TS, is truly exceptional. Her teaching style is clear, encouraging, and full of positive energy. She offers thoughtful adjustments and modifications, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and supported. I also appreciated how she emphasized mindfulness and breathwork, which made the class feel balanced and holistic.

Highly recommend!

I recently got back into CorePower and am really liking it so far.

My favorite class is Yoga Sculpt, which combines hot yoga, cardio, and weights. Bring a towel because you'll definitely sweat! I'm also a fan of CorePower Strength X (CSX), a 45-minute strength training class with cardio and circuits. It's quick, effective, and leaves me feeling sore in the best way.

FYI: towels aren't free, so bring your own! If you forget, you can rent a towel for $2 and a mat for $4. Parking is easy in the mornings. There are two-hour spots nearby and plenty of spaces by the movie theater.

Went here for the second time for series Corepower Yoga 1 (C1) flow. Walked inside and realized I had left my yoga mat…it was a long day. Vinita at the front desk said I would need to pay for a rental ($4 charge). I was not aware of this policy and she didn’t seem to be lenient about it until I asked if it would be okay just this time, and she said curtly “yes just this time but you’ll need to clean the mat yourself after you’re done.” I was surprised with my experience because she seemed upset about the mat rental when it was only my second visit there as a newcomer and I did not know they require you to pay if you don’t bring your own mat. I’ve been to other studios like yoga six as a first timer and they let me use a mat, no biggie. I think this studio is only in it for the money as there are very many other reasonably priced yoga studios in the area (less than $100/month for yoga) with a more laidback and less stuck up environment. It feels more like a corporate yoga house with people who like yoga but don’t practice the principles behind it. Would not recommend.

UPDATE: aside from my mat being stolen… I have to say I recently took a class with Tori and she was an amazing instructor!

Previous review:
Got my Manduku Pro Mat stolen and blamed by the staff.

Someone stole my mat when I left it last week. It couldn’t have been mistaken bc I have mine tied in a yellow band. Who in their right mind would take someone’s sweaty mat. I’ll take that as my fault, but still..it’s rare to get anything stolen in fitness classes

Tried 2 free classes through their website, then paid via ClassPass. When I checked-in the staff accused and gave me attitude saying I’m new in their system and that many people are abusing their free trial offer.

It was unprofessional and I had to set them straight about their rude behavior. They should’ve approached it with better customer service and ask instead of making assumptions and giving me an attitude.

I go during lunch hour for their Yoga sculpt class and it gives me a good sweat session but I really don’t appreciate the lack of customer care and how quickly my mat got stolen.

I enjoy this studio very much. The space is nice and the studios are roomy. The one issue is parking is impossible certain times of the day. I generally go in the mornings or at night to avoid driving around in circles looking for a space.

Fairfax corner studio is my favorite CorePower studio in the area. Space is chill, people and staff are all friendly. Some of my favorite instructors teach here including Weaam, who has been amazing! Her playlist is such a vibe and her C2 flow is just right.

Tried the free one-week trial recently and was VERY happy with the experience. I went almost everyday (C1, C2, and Sculpt). I belong to UFC Gym Fairfax and recently had abdominal surgery, so my core strength has been reduced. I highly recommend CorePower Yoga in Fairfax Corner. The staff are welcoming, professional, and knowledgeable. The hours this place is open justifies the price. You won't find another yoga studio in the area open 6 am to 10 pm. I have only two complaints/suggestions to the staff and instructors: turn down the music during the sessions; and, keep talking/chatter to an absolute minimum during the ten minutes prior to start of class in the studio. This ten minutes is critical to releasing inner tension and feeling the energy of the studio and those around you. Inane chatter makes it difficult, if not impossible, to do so. My experience was great and I intend to get an all-inclusive membership soon.

This is hot yoga. I was not expecting that and wish it was advertised more clearly. I love yoga but don’t see the benefit in feeling like you are going to pass out while doing it. I also found classes overcrowded with very minimal help and instruction from teachers in finding poses.

First visit and the sculpt class with Madeline was great! I love that she showed how to modify everything to make it harder or easier! Definitely bring a towel and a giant water bottle for class. Showers and water stations are super convenient as an added bonus. The location is perfect and parking was easy.

Returning to my Fairfax Corner studio after getting vaccinated is such a pivotal moment in my journey. Studio manager Tatiana Suh is a truly gifted teacher and gentle spirit that made our return seamless. I am so thankful for her leadership and tremendous teaching staff I’ve practiced with since returning. Old teaching friends, Tatiana, Lindsey and Joe, and new friends Ava, and Becca have all made this the best place ever!

Yogis unite! Corepower offers a great, sweat enducing workout while staying true to yoga fundamentals. Yoga sculpt if a unique class, blendig HIIT with your chattrunga. Once you take it you won't go back to other studios.

The location can be difficult to find for first timers - take the stairs/elevator in the middle section of the building. Instructors at this location are exceptionally friendly, leading to fantastic practices.

Core Power at Fairfax Corner is a terrific yoga school. The teachers are kind and genuinely care about the students. There is plenty of parking and the Black Tag membership allows unlimited visits. It is exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Keep up the great work Tatiana, Joe, Jobs, Trish and all the super teachers. Namaste.

The one star is for the amazing community I never expected to become so close to and some of the honorable instructors -- they are the positives of CorePower Fairfax. I had a different opinion of CorePower Fairfax when I first joined. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that the manager and the district manager were swindling me. Their deplorable actions confirmed that they didn't view me as a person, but rather a thing to help them meet their financial quotas. I frequent competing studios in the area that practice inclusivity within the positive spirit of the yoga community, however, CorePower Fairfax uses it as a façade for financial gain. They don't follow the rules they preach, and their hypocritical behavior contradicts the discipline of yoga. I was repeatedly lured into teacher trainings and extensions with what I discovered were false promises and lies. I practiced Ishvara Pranidhana (devotion) the whole time, trusting them and following every piece of advice they gave, but I was repeatedly plowed over. After one audition I was told that a certain location was only looking for 20 somethings to go along with their clientele! Correspondence from upper management is impersonal, one email I received wasn't even for the correct tryout results, proving that they view clients as dollar signs and not people. The training selection is also clicky; certain students are pre-selected and told they will be teachers before they even audition! Not a professional system to abide by. I asked the manager about it once after witnessing such a conversation directly and she admitted it was wrong for her to say what she did. The push for taking and paying for trainings is so strong, that one of my friends switched studio locations just to avoid being pressured all the time. I terminated my membership after giving them several fair opportunities to prove they had good intentions. I made the decision with a heavy heart because of my love for the community.

I really enjoy CPY at Fairfax Corner. The location is perfect and the classes offered really work with my schedule. There is only a couple C1 (“unheated”) classes every day, but even though I don’t love heated classes, the C2 classes are doable because the instructors, for the most part (there has been one that I will say did not fit into this category) are very positive, encouraging, and motivational. As a whole the CPY studios have really strengthened my practice after only a month. After having practiced for years this improvement over just one month is very noticeable.

I am new to yoga and tried out the C1 class with a friend. I was pleasantly surprised by both the location and the instructor class. When we walked in they were welcoming. The class moved quickly, and the room was warm but bearable. Even though I'm a beginner I felt able to do the basic poses along with the class. My instructor today Lauren was great and I especially liked the constant guiding and verbal cues as well as the variations she gave for beginner to more advanced. That made me feel more comfortable knowing that I could do the level I was comfortable at. Overall it was really a perfect experience and I plan on returning to take class with Lauren again.

OK. So the best part is the lavender 💜 lemon 🍋cold towel set on your mat after you sweat your assets off for 60 minutes of hot yoga Fairfax, VA. This studio is fantastic. And of course the teachers are great also. Vinyasa flow hot yoga fairfax, va. The style of a C2 is much like a Baron Baptiste hot yoga class. The C1 class is the same just less less poses and more chaturangas! I dropped in and moved into a class quickly and easily. Plenty of parking and an easy location just off Rte 50. Close to Fairfax Oaks Mall. Bring a towel and your yoga mat. Or they rent them. Very clean studio with lockers, shower, and a really cool water bottle fill fountain. This is the first time I have ever seen a fountain that can detect the amount in your water bottle and fill it. Now that's Technology! 🦋

Taken several different classes there. The teachers are fantastic. The studio is nice and the locker rooms are awesome. Everything you need to get ready (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant) is in the locker room in case you forget! Just bring water, a mat, and a towel (and clothes to change into after) and you can get a great workout and on to something else.

This studio has all the right people, all of whom have amazing attitudes and perspective. The studio's strong leadership and the teachers' diverse expertise make for a one of a kind experience, each and every time I've attended a class. While part of the current teacher training session, I obviously have a strong passion for this community but to put it in perspective, I've felt this studio had all the right and amazing people since day one of only December '16. It took one free week to discover and appreciate such a wonderful and passionate community.
