Best gym in the area hands down. Worth every penny, as the equipment is top notch, staff is helpful, and the community is motivating. Have tried multiple/bigger gyms in Lynchburg and stuck with EF for the last 2 years, wishing I had found it earlier. Sadly, I moved away but payment and membership cancellation was smooth and quick.

Not sure why so many hate on this gym. I've been to every gym in Lynchburg and can say that Elite is the best, depending on your type of training. If you're looking to start working out, this is the place to be. Great atmosphere and lots of people willing to help and learn from. If you're a serious lifter, bodybuilder, or powerlifter, this is your new home. The equipment is top-notch and the staff is very friendly. 24/7 access is amazing.

I dropped in for a workout a year ish ago. I did my paperwork online for the one day pass and everything seemed fine. The front desk was unmanned but everything checked out as normal. The gym was great, crowded but nice. A year later I received an angry email that stated I had 3 days until my account went to collections. Confused, I called and found out something happened and my payment for $20 didn’t go through a year ago. The man claimed to have tried to reach out to me but this is the first email I received and no calls or texts. Luckily I payed it in time but had I not seen this email or thought it was a scam (it looked like a scam email).. I would have had an account in collections and severely damaged credit over $20 that I didn’t realize I even owed. This is not appropriate in my opinion.

Honestly my favorite gym UNTIL they stole money from me and attempted to do it again. When I kindly addressed it they tried to do their best to pawn the issue on me and not make it right. Anytime I asked for the employee name they ignored the messages. It’s a beautiful gym, and they seemed great until I paid for a year membership and called them out for trying to pull stuff over me . Luckily I had the contract and screenshots. When I signed up for the year they reassured me that incase of an emergency or having to move that I would just provide proof and a pause can be done on the account. Then turned out that was inaccurate. They tried to pull a lot of foul stuff until I provided proof and expressed that it wasn’t legal so they reimbursed the 540 they took when it wasn’t even due yet (due in May and they pulled it in March) nor did I process the payment then after they reimbursed that they took away the access I had for two more months.. which I paid for. So just careful, keep an eye on your charges. I’m hoping by this being posted and called out it will prevent them pulling this type of stuff on others in the future because what was done was theft and illegal. I’m being advised to take further action since they won’t reply on reimbursing me for the 2 months they took from me after I called them out. They won’t give me access and they won’t reimburse so they just pocketed the $ for those two months and won’t reply with names nor inform a higher up on the issue. I am busy during the day so it’s hard to make it in person but I have plenty of proof to pursue a case. Just be careful, the aesthetic is BEAUTIFUL however. Only issue was being slick and trying to not make it right when accidentally processing a payment that wasn’t due yet.

The response as “you’re very exhausting as said EF isn’t a good fit for you” in the messages it’s already been clear I had no intention going back but expected to use the month that should of been paused when it was month to month AND the month left off the year. But BBB can make a public record of the convos with the owner/whoever managed EF page cause there’s proof in there that yall have not refunded what should have been by taking away early access just out of pettiness. Yall are extremely exhausting and scammy too. Good luck! Hope your current customers don’t have an emergency accident and yall take advantage of their health situation by taking their money when there’s actually rules about pausing gym accounts regarding those situations. I was told EF likes to scam people who already pay a full year and I wish I listened.

OH and they deleted my gym master account so I couldn’t go back to the payment list luckily I have some screenshots from before. Before I signed up for a year I was MONTH TO MONTH and he said no refunds on the year, well only one month from that year wasn’t given to me I didn’t even want a refund I wanted it paused cause I couldn’t use it due to a health issue. When it was month to month I had an emergency surgery that wasn’t part of my plan and I didn’t get refunded for that nor given that month to use at the gym either. So people CAREFUL please screenshot everything, doesn’t matter if you pay for the membership or family or friend or you’re paying someone back for your membership. If it’s paid and signed up for you’re entitled to what was paid for. Don’t let them pull anything over you. Extremely shady stuff going on when you sign up for a year so just be careful. Beautiful gym and clean yeah, I’ll give them that but there’s actual gyms that care for their customers and not just the money.

Gym is great, however please leave your kids at home. Letting your toddler run around and leaving your stroller on the floor is annoying. Maybe add a daycare to the gym to avoid this.

Truly the best gym, community, and family around. I’ve never had a bad time at this gym and have been going since the day it opened. Great place, secure building and has all the equipment, they make it easy to obtain a membership that you can access the facility at anytime. If your a meat head or just looking for a quick workout they have all the weights and dumbbells for the amateur to the novice. They have a smoothie shop tanning beds everything you need all the equipment all the free weights all the Smith machines and all the weighted machines to satisfy any lifter or trainer's needs.

I came here as a travel nurse to Lynchburg and found this gem of a place. It's literally the best gym I've ever been to in my life and I'm sad that they don't have more around the country. It has so many various types of equipment, machines, weights, cables, many power racks, even a power lifting area, and tons of various cardio equipment. Massive amount of space so you never feel crowded even during busier times and everyone I've interacted with, staff included, has been super cool and non-judgmental.

Whether you're a first timer, have years of experience, young, old, or anything in between, I would absolutely recommend going here!

Visiting friends in Lynchburg and wanted to still go to the gym. Elite fitness was beyond our expectations. The gym was clean and they had all the newest equipment.

Ran into a friend recently. We caught up and he informed me he left Elite primarily because the owner, Tyler, tried to charge him $15 three times for accidently leaving a small weight on a bar. Accidents happen. This is illegal as the contract has zero language describing this policy, regardless of what Tyler has announced on social media. My friend explained how Tyler's girlfriend said how he can be like that sometimes because he's prideful, but that's a terrible excuse for poor behavior. She seems nice but not so much him. Short sighted as well if he really thinks everyone is following the account and listening to every announcement. I would recommend if you have been charged for such a thing, you demand your money back.
I, on the other hand, left because Tyler insisted I was going behind his back, charging people and being their trainer, when in reality I was merely working out with them just like anyone else does at the gym. I never charged my friends anything. They couldn't afford it anyway. But I got special treatment. The two friends I worked out with that night I didn't even know were going to be there, but I ran into them and we decided to workout together with me mostly leading the way but they threw in some stuff too. Friend and my gf left the gym too. Originally Tyler had said I was suspended then said I was banned because my gf complained via message, but I clarified with him that I was never coming back to a place with such rules where I can't workout with people, regardless of a ban or not. What gym does that? The irony here is that we worked out next to him most of the time. Who would be so stupid to do something we weren't supposed to do right in front of him? It makes no sense. I even offered him my phone to view texts to see if he could find any messages about me training my friends, let alone for money. He refused of course, he was dead set on his stubborn prideful ways. Never in my 15 years of going to dozens of gyms have I ever heard of such incidents.
If you don't like tripods and influencers, you probably want to avoid this place just based on that alone.
Anyway, this is mine and a few others experience. I hope Tyler sees the error in his judgment at some point for his own sake.

I was visiting and got a weekly pass. What a great gym! So many pieces of equipment I’ve never seen and I’ve been training for 24 years. Very clean and the only gripe I have is that this gym is not available in New Jersey where I live, very jealous! Don’t hesitate this is top notch.

If you workout with someone you might get kicked out , don’t even try to defend yourself because he won’t hear you out. The place is supposed to be founded on the Bible ( putting Bible verses on wooden beams dusting construction) yet they play the most filthy music and if you do anything wrong they will post you and ridicule you instead of pulling you aside and having face time face conversation.

Good for bodybuilding, powerlifting, and general fitness. Build like a movie set for those who are camera ready. Staff and members are friendly. Plenty of equipment and I never have to wait on anything outside of the 5-7 pm weekday timeframes. If you forget your headphones don't fret. Best playlist I've heard in a gym.

I switched to Elite from another gym in Lynchburg and I am so happy I did. The music is 10/10! It’s actual music you’d listen to when you lift and not pandora’s top 10 hits on repeat. Elite is bodybuilding and posing friendly unlike the gym I had previously been at. Multiple friends of mine had gotten in trouble for being shirtless while posing at our old gym (yes, we all switched to Elite). Elite also has a power pit for powerlifters which I love because I’m currently in prep for a competition!! It doesn’t cost extra to use the kilo plates like it did at the last gym I was at (And the guy who “owns” the plates is rude to everyone for no reason). Let’s not forget the shake bar!! Elite is literally the only gym in Lynchburg that is bodybuilding & powerlifting friendly AND has a shake bar!! Elite is also the only gym in Lynchburg that is 100% for people who lift…if you lift you get this. Hands down the best gym in Lynchburg!!

As a facility: The gym is state of the art, very nice, very new, the key fobs are very convenient if you work weird hours. Only complaint is no 35 lbs plates in sight.

Personal thoughts: It’s a bit pricey for what it is and the average gym goer tends to have an above average physique and lingering eyes on anyone who isn’t on their level.

Overall: The gym is nice, gym culture could use some work, you might need some thicker skin or a workout buddy here if you’re just getting back in the lifting game after COVID.

For the longest time I’ve always wanted a quality gym in the Lynchburg area. This is it… not only does it have state of the art equipment that can’t be found anywhere but the atmosphere and community here is phenomenal.

Everyone wants to see each other succeed here. The owners are very wonderful and I can’t say enough good things about this gym. Very excited for the future with these guys.

Even if your just passing through it’s a 10/10 must stop by and visit.

I recently switched to Elite Fitness from another gym and couldn’t be happier. What sets this gym apart from others is the modern aesthetic, the many machines they offer and the quantity of them. It’s really nice that there’s enough machines there for several people to workout the same muscle without having to wait. There’s many machines that other places do not offer, so it’s too a learning process that ensures you’ll meet your goals quicker! It’s incredibly clean, which is a huge plus. They offer smoothies/shakes which also is really convenient and different than other places. For what all they offer, you really cannot beat their price. Another thing is the music they play is actually working out music which is nice when you forget your headphones or don’t want to wear them! It’s a no brainer this is nicest gym around.
