The only let one parent attend the competitions. I wont be buying any more merch from them and will be actively looking at different gymnast venues for my child. That $30 something hoodie my that i was gonna get for my kid for christmas? Not anymore. If excaliber cant support the parents i wont support them.

We're doing the Parent and Me class and my toddler loves it! We think Coach Chloe is wonderful! She has a gentle way about her while also actually trying to teach the kids skills at a young age. She handles the silliness that comes with toddlers really well in my experience -- trying to keep them on task, while also leaving space for them to be kids!

The coaches are so nice there, and my daughter has been improving a lot, from can’t even doing a cartwheel to a back handspring.

Coach Chase and Coach Chloe are awesome! Structure is there( which i love) , as well as true skill development being seen over time. Excited for the future and to see continued progress and growth.

We have been attending Excalibur Gymnastics with our toddler for a little over a year now. It has been a joy to see him develop in the class. Coach Chase has been fantastic. He started very young and could hardly stay with the class for the full hour. Now he is well beyond where he should be for his age. We believe that is due to the program’s positive reinforcement and patience through our son’s development. We feel this weekly activity will be a strong foundation for whatever sports our son chooses as he grows older.

Had a complete opposite experience than the previous review. Our normal instructor was out and had the opportunity to have Ms. Chase lead our 4/5 year old class.
To summarize, I requested for my child to be on her waitlist for classes in the future.
She gave the children the opportunity to “play” and experience a bunch of different equipment. She led the kids much more hands on than the normal instructor. Ms. Chase is much more hands on in leading activities and would assist more as well.
I’m just sad we didn’t sign up with her to begin with. Going back to our other instructor is a bit disappointing.

Normally, I don’t post lengthy reviews but this one is overdue + needed in defense of the hard working athletes who come to the Excalibur team in hopes of finding critical success.
This is coming from a parent who has brought their toddler weekly for nearly a year. We’ve had the pleasure of attending Coach Chase’s Parent & Me gym class, and our experience has been nothing short of wonderful. There is a set curriculum, focuses and skills, and themes that kids learn to master. As any parent understands, classes at that age range widely in skill so a parent just actively guiding their child to engage and learn makes all the difference.
Coach Chase is dedicated to fostering an engaging and structured learning environment for young children. She consistently works to encourage participation and enthusiasm, tailoring an approach to each child’s curiosity in the sport. My kid has grown in confidence and physical skills thanks to her commitment to nurturing the students.
Unfortunately, it seems that some reviews have painted an inaccurate picture of the program. It’s important to note that guided participation plays a vital role in these classes—both from the child and their parent. While disruptions can occasionally happen in a class (these are kids so of course that is going to happen), Coach Chase has always managed them professionally, prioritizing the safety and focus of the group learning new skills.
As someone who has firsthand experience of committing to showing up every week + actively guiding their kid to learn the curriculum, I can confidently recommend Excalibur Gym and Coach Chase to families seeking a positive and developmentally appropriate program for their children.
Bottom line, you come here so your child has a great, safe time learning their athleticism. They also have a chance of making new friends along the way. Attend a class and commit to your young kid’s success—not willingly let your child wander off while you disappear into your phone using ChatGPT to write reviews for an hour *hint hint*

My grandson LOVES his class with coach Chase! She is sweet and well prepared to keep the toddlers safe and active! There is a separate area with toddler sized equipment which is perfect for their size. I highly recommend Excalibur for your toddler and older!

Developmentally Inappropriate for Toddlers - Coach Concerns
I enrolled our 18-month-old in the Parent & Me program with high hopes, but left deeply disappointed by the poorly trained coaching and inflexible policies.
Main Issues:
1️⃣ Unqualified Toddler Instruction:
Coach Chase showed zero interest in engaging our child, despite this being a parent-participatory class
Repeatedly gave 3+ year-old level instructions to toddlers (developmentally inappropriate)
Snatched toys from my child’s hands without redirection, causing distress
2️⃣ Safety & Supervision Concerns:
Multiple instances where Coach ignored my child instead of guiding him.
No modifications for typical 18-month-old behaviors - this isn’t a competitive gym class!
3️⃣ Poor Complaint Resolution:
Management dismissed documented concerns and blamed our child
Refused refund despite their coach’s failure to deliver the promised service
The Irony:
They advertise "fun first" classes, but:
✖️ No understanding of toddler development
✖️ Coaches clearly untrained in early childhood education
✖️ More focused on policies than happy kids
For Parents of Under 2s:
Look elsewhere unless you want to watch your child be ignored
Deal with rigid policies when they fail to accommodate normal toddler behavior.

My feelings about Excalibur were very positive at first. This was where I trained as a kid and loved it, so this is who I trusted with my kid. My son is 5 and was very scared and nervous about starting. We usually have an amazing coach who eased him into it and worked with him as well as the other kids making sure everyone had fun and was involved. The gym was closed on a day of his class and our make up day was scheduled for today. We had coach Chloe, I immediately noticed gestures and faces she made at my son but let it go. As class progressed she had the children constantly sitting (not stretching) just sitting in a line. You would assume this would be the order they would be called in for the activities however, it wasn’t. This coach knew certain children and called them first, giving them multiple turns while my son sat constantly. When he did get to go (last - no matter of his placement in the “line”) she stopped paying attention and focused on the same few students. She then continued to make frustrated faces at him as if she wasn’t failing to give him the demonstration/ assistance she was giving the other children. I saw my son point at me several times to which she shook her head no, I later found out she was denying him going to get a sip of water… the other students were allowed to go in and out as they pleased. At the end of the course I was ready to pull him out and I stood up, when she saw me stand up she immediately walked to my son (who was on the beam struggling to keep balance) and helped him as if she realized she was caught. She then lined everyone up (my son in the back of course) and let everyone pick which sticker they wanted and gave them a high-five and said good job. When it was my sons turn she handed him a random sticker and he politely said “actually I wanted this one” to which she responded “then you need to ask and say please” something that was not expected from any other child. She then stood up, no high five, no good job. I grabbed my sons hand and started to put his shoes on when I heard her speaking with another parent saying “I chose your daughter to demonstrate everything, I’m sure she was wanting to sit down” (seemed like an intentional statement being that she had my son sitting continuously) she then complained about summer hours and said “I’m sorry there were make up students in the class, it’s not fair to her or me” .. meanwhile the parent who she was giving all of this praise to was trying to complain about the fact that all of our children were tumbling over each other on the balance beams and how she wasn’t comfortable with the spacing. It seemed coach Chloe was too busy trying to insult a “make up student” that she bypassed that. I am infuriated to say the least not only did she mistreat my child, she then admitted to mistreating my child right infront of my face. It was not our fault that we needed a make up class, the gym was closed and the way we were treated because of that is disgusting. No one with this mentality should be working with small children, she should be ashamed of herself. I wish so bad I knew the name of his normal coach as she is amazing and I would recommend her a thousand times. However if you are told your child’s coach is Chloe I would ask for a new one.

So HAPPY one of my friends told me about this gymnastics place! Signed my daughter up with a groupon to start to make sure she would like it and she instantly loved it! Every week she can't wait to go back! Ms. Chloe is a great fun teacher too and I can tell she really cares about the kids. We have only been going for a month but I'll definitely be signing my daughter up to continue to go. I also love the availability of choosing what classes to put your child in. Highly recommend this gym!

My daughter has been going to Excalibur for over 2 years now. She started off so scared and nervous but her coach showed patience and support to the point of her taking off. Ever since that first day gymnastics is all my daughter does and talks about. Now at a level three she spends more time at the gym during the week then at home and she loves every minute of it. Her three coaches are amazing. She talks non stop about them. I feel comfortable knowing that she is taken care of and getting the right training to succeed. Excalibur is truly the best place!!!

We are going into our fourth season at Excalibur and I cannot say enough great things about this gym. The coaching staff is top notch. They are teaching life skills such as discipline, courage and respect all while coaching our children. This is a demanding sport and they are well versed in how to take the athletes to the next level when appropriate. This gym is well respected in the gymnastics world and they make sure their competitors are ready to meet the challenges of the sport. They constantly are upgrading the facility to be the best in the area. The equipment is excellent and replaced when necessary. The waiting room has recently been renovated and is bright and inviting. I highly recommend Excalibur Gymnastics whether for a beginner or a well trained gymnast.

My two daughters attend this gym and over the last two years have THRIVED here. The owners and other coaches we've had experience with are top-notch. They certainly promote a positive environment that is encouraging to the girls. I'm perplexed by the negative reviews, as I spend a lot of time here (4-hour practices), so I see quite a bit of the happenings on the floor and lobby, and I haven't had or seen any problems.
I always see the coaches cheering on the girls and the girls cheering on each other. My older daughter competes and her team is constantly reminded to support other girls - a very team-like mentality. She spends 16 hours a week there and loves it so much that she wants to go MORE! I can attribute this passion to the expert training she receives. They work hard but also have FUN.
My other daughter started off in a beginner-level class and I was very impressed at how welcomed she was to her new class, the individual attention that she and her classmates received, and the focus on safety, progressing, and having fun.
The facility is 100% the best in the area. The equipment is replaced often so it always looks brand new and is ensured to be safe and clean. The lobby is kept very clean and orderly, and you can view your gymnast the entire class.
It seems like some parents get upset about some of the gym’s policies, but it is a very professionally run business, and all of info is given upfront. I know of a few concerns other parents have had and the staff was quick to address them with genuine care.
I HIGHLY recommend this gym.

This place is a scam. Tell you to pay by the 1st if you plan to continue but then take the money off the card on file anyway. They won’t give the money back even though my daughter is no longer going. The website won’t let you delete your card info to prevent them from taking anymore money. Most of the instructors are teenagers who have no patience for beginners. Just awful and glad to be away from there.

We love Excalibur Gymnastics! Everyone is so welcoming. More specifically, our coach Trisha is the best! Whether there are less kids due to absents or more due to other kids moving up she keeps the kids engaged and is always full of happiness and so much energy. Every morning drive to gymnastics my little guy always shares how exited he is to see “coach “Tisha.” She really knows how to make sure each child is enjoying the class by child led activities. We personally love flipping on the beams and swinging on the rope. You can definitely tell how much our coach enjoys what she’s doing which makes it much more exciting for my little one to enjoy flipping and jumping around outside of gym class, too. Also, my little guy can never leave the class without making sure the coach gets a hug. We love you Trisha !

My two year old son went to his first class today. He was having a hard time following instructions and we kept trying to console him outside the class and tried to remain calm despite the overwhelming situation. The lady at the front desk said that my TWO YEAR OLD needed to understand and follow the rules and that we needed to tell him that he wasn’t allow to scream or cry and his time in class was done. I proceeded to tell her he was only two and she said that they had a two times cry policy and any more than that the babies had to leave the gym and we’re not allowed back in class. This is absolutely ridiculous for a baby/toddler gymnastics class. If you have toddlers please beware. This is an incredibly intense and rigid environment for a toddler gymnastics class. We all left the class completely overwhelmed and upset.

I had a great experience with Excalibur until I didn't. We moved and tried to keep attending their location but it became impossible. After a few months of inconsistency I asked to be removed from the program. Which the agreed but we had to continue with the month we were in due to policy. I understand the policy but the month hadn't started yet so refunding my money should not have been an issue.

My 4 year old daughter spilled her water bottle in the car, and so I needed to use the fountain to fill hers up. I asked the front desk if I could help her fill her up cause she is too short to do herself and was told I would have to use bathroom water. Apparently paying an astronomical tuition for my child to take class twice a week, I can’t even use filtered water from their fountain and my child is expected to drink nasty bathroom sink water. The least that could’ve happened was she offer to assist and fill up the water bottle for me. Luckily I ended up just asking her coach if she minded filling it for her, which she did. The front desk staff lady that was working the evening of 3/25 should maybe next time offer assistance some how because it is 100% unacceptable to tell me I can fill up my daughters water bottle with water from the bathroom. Highly doubt she would drink bathroom water. Legit this makes me want to go to gymstrada because I have only ever heard wonderful things about their entire staff and this just truly rubs me the wrong way that I was told this was my only option for my kid.

I was not aware that my daughter was no longer enrolled in class due to non payment. This decision was made on 12/3 it’s 12/14 I received a phone call while waiting in the parking lot. I received an emailed on the 3rd about payment that I wasn’t aware of but I wasn’t told that my child was unenrolled. Then the unprofessional receptionist showed no remorse for the miscommunication and said “well will you be making that payment today.” She has been here since August and this was the first missed payment. My daughters (elementary age) have tried gymnastics at two other locations in the area and have been in other day camps this summer - but the Excalibur Gymnastics summer camp is by far our favorite. It's super clean, professional, and they're great with the kids. My daughters both perfected their cartwheels and round-offs almost immediately. I've been recommending Excalibur to friends, family, even my dentist (lol) for their kids. As a parent (aka the one paying) I appreciate that the facility is modern and like I've said already, clean! We've only done the Summer camps and we plan on enrolling in classes because they've enjoyed it so much.

This is a really difficult placed to give an accurate rating. The qualitt and rating of the class and programs really depends on who the teacher is and how the fellow classmates are. We've had one amazing teacher, a couple mediocre teachers, and one really bad teacher. We've also had good classmates who listened and contributed to a productive class and some really awful students who were disrupting everyone. It also depended a lot on the teacher's confidence and assertiveness in handling difficult children.
There were awesome classes where our child got one on one attention and other classes where they sat in a square 75% of the time because a 6 kid to 1 teacher ratio was way too much. You just don't know what you're going to get.
The communications from management is great. Lots of emails and reminders to pay for bills.
However, they are also very strict and unwavering when it comes to their policies and granting any type of flexibility (this could be a positive or a negative!)
Definitely keep in mind that if you are just "trying" this out, you MUST give two weeks written notice before withdrawing your child. (Definitely check GROUPON to test them out.) You also may have to pay for days and classes when the gym is closed for a tournament and your money isn't prorated and no make-up class is offered.
Make-up classes - with COVID ramping up again coming into the fall, keep in mind that the make-up class for a missed day is just a zoom call where an instructor leads the kids through stretches. (At almost $20 a class, I expected a little more.)
Bathroom seems to be always dirty which disgusted me. I know there are a lot of unsupervised kids using them but, maybe they should check them and clean them once an hour or so. Gross!!
Bottom line, I had to give them a solid 3. Definitely worth trying and we have recommended them to friends. We are going to try a different program for a little bit. And if we come back, and the advice we would give others, don't settle for a teacher who is letting the kids have glorified play time. You're paying a lot of money, demand a quality instructor!!
Good luck!

It’s started out great and my kid loved it but when I went outside to breathe as their waiting area is small and not equipped to hold every parent inside, I came back inside to find my daughter crying in the bathroom by herself. Her class is not in view so I waited, watched her other two classmates leave wondering where my kid was.DO NOT SEND YOUR BABIES HERE!!! They will guide them to the bathroom and leave them there not notifying the parent or anything. Director escorted her and left her. She’s 3. My son has been at Excalibur for 3-years now and is a member of the Boys Team. The coaches we have had over the years have been top-notch and I wouldn't even consider moving to another gym in the area. Prior to coming to this gym, I had a daughter at another gym where she competed on team for numerous years. I can honestly say that Excalibur is by far the better of the two gyms both in terms of their coaching, their staff professionalism, and the overall attitudes of the parents. There is no drama amongst the parents that I interact with and we all get along great.
I have read other reviews on this site and while everyone is entitled to their opinion, parents need to realize that not every child can be a gymnast just like not every kid can be a soccer, football, or baseball player. It is up to the coaches to separate those that can be successful at the team level and those that cannot. Just because a parent or child wants to be a gymnast doesn't mean that they can be even if they were to train under the U.S. Olympic Team Coach. Gymnastics takes quality coaching and some natural ability in order for you to be successful. Since gymnastics team costs thousands of dollars a year and is a tremendous time commitment on the parent and child, I would rather the coaches weed out those that won't be successful rather than simply promote them to team just to promote them.

We've been testing the waters at various gyms in the HR area, upon watching my child play at the gym we were stuck watching Mario make flowers...out of cups. Basically a clown show. Following that the children were made to sit on the floor for 30min of class and listen to whatever science fiction he had in his head. So unless you want to have your child sit and watch a flower show don't waste your time.

My baby cousin went here and it was the worst experience of her life. At first she started to come home crying because someone was bullying her. She said she told the instructor, but they done nothing. About two weeks later, I heard from my aunt that she been kicked out of the program for fighting. The staff accuse her of hitting another girl. They didn't get both sides of the story or anything. According to my cousin, she was called into the office and was told to wait til her mother comes picks her up. They didn't question her, they didn't tell her whats going on or anything. By the time my aunt picked her up, they said she couldn't come back because of fighting. She was not fighting anyone. My cousin is non-violent. She came home crying because she was being bully and couldn't do anything about it.
And what made the situation worst was no refund policy. I admit my aunt should have address the issue, but she thought "It isn't that bad, This is part of life, Everyone gets bullied"......this coming from a person who never been bullied. Now she regrets its because if the cost that she loss.
