I just want to say Erica is AMAZING. I’ve never physically met her, I’ve only spoken with her via text, and she is so sweet and understanding!!! We had to take my daughter out of the competition Cheer, and Erica was very understanding,
And asked if I wanted to switch my daughter to the Half year team registration, at the time I said no.
Long story short, we just enrolled her today!! ☺️ my daughter and I are both pretty excited!! Thanks again Erica!!!!

As a cheer parent I wanted to say how disappointed I was in the poor sportsmanship that I witnessed today at the American Masters Championship. We were watching the junior 3 teams compete and when Flipping out Tumblings pyramid fell a Fame Allstar parent and two athletes in uniform jumped up and down laughed and clapped. I have never seen something so disgusting at a cheer competition. I believe one of the girls names was Payton, but not 100% sure. We just looked over at them in shock. Our level 3 teams were not competing in this competition so I don’t have a dog in this fight, but would like to point this out so hopefully this behavior can be addressed as it reflects poorly on your gym.

We love fame! Left a previous gym in Newport news to come here 3 years ago and haven't looked back. Love that everyone makes a team. There are so many classes you can take even if you are not on a team with fame. Private lessons are also available. My daughter has excelled while at this gym not only on the cheer level but the personal level as well. Coaches are strong leaders and role models. While at the gym I have never encountered under staffed classes or unsupervised tumbling. Safety is first at fame. Love that on a team or just taking a class the coaches treat everyone as equals. Check them out you won't be sorry

We are finishing our second season and registered for our 3rd already!
My daughter is obsessed with cheer now and has grown so much from being around such an amazing staff and families! She had zero experience and continues to improve each season thanks to the coach’s dedication. They provide so many opportunities to grow and work so hard for the squads! We felt so welcomed from the first day and continue to feel like family today!

My girls have been a part of the FAMEily for just under 2 years now, we have enjoyed everything about fame. Everyone is so welcoming, my girls love the coaches, love thier teammates, and love all the parents, as do i. We came to this gym last year after being at another local gym for a few years and my daughter wanted to give up cheering because of the other gym. The owner Erica personally called me and answered all of my questions and then we went by and met a few coaches and it was a perfect match! My daughter has grown so much this past year in her cheer/tumble abilities and is back to LOVING the sport again. This gym was a game changer for her and i couldn't be happier to be apart of the FAMEily. All the coaches whether my daughter is on their team or not are so supportive and encourage her to do her best. I recommend anyone to try this gym out.

We are currently finishing up our 2nd season with Fame Central and our whole family loves this program. We came to Fame Central from another gym and my daughter was welcomed with open arms and TONS of encouragement from the staff and atheletes! She has always loved cheerleading but her love for this sport has grown immensely since joining this gym. She has grown so much as an athlete and person because of the coaching she has received at Fame! She has also found some of the best friends she will ever have. I love how each coach or staff member takes the time to personally get to know each athlete regardless of whether he/she is on his/her team! And the way these coaches support each and every team at practices and competitions is beyond amazing! My daughter’s tumbling skills have improved immensely under the guidance of the amazing Coach Tim! The gym owner Erica, and really the entire staff are so responsive and always looking out for what is best for the athletes as well as the families of the gym! This family loves being FAMEous! Our daughter started cheering here 6 years ago at the age of 6. She has learned not only cheer skills (tumbling, stunting and dancing) but so much more! She has learned the importance of courage, perseverance and determination when learning new skills that are difficult. LOVE! My daughter has been with FAME for about 3 years doing tumbling lessons, this is her first year cheering with the gym and I can tell you I have seen a confidence boost like no other in her face, her attitude, everything. The coaching staff pushes your child to be the best he/she can be and let me tell you - it's an awesome thing to see your kid start with barely a BWO and 2 years later is learning standing tucks and RBHS Tucks like it's no big deal. FAME All stars has been home to our family for 8 full years. Both of our daughters have grown not only in the gym, but as team members, and responsible young ladies. My oldest daughter is now in college and has become a leader in her sorority and and a valuable employee at her job, all while mainting excellent grades. We credit FAME Central with much of her success and leadership skills. Our youngest daughter loves to be at practice and has made lifelong friendships at FAME. The work ethic that both of our children exhibit is not only taught in the home and school, but also at FAME Central. My husband and I always feel welcome and have made lifelong friends ourselves. Erica Flanigan and the other coaches are a huge part of our lives and we trust them with our children whole-heartedly. Both of my daughters have cheered with Fame Yorktown for over ten years. Very thankful my girls decided to call this gym home! Since day 1 they have felt welcomed. The staff is nice and very knowledgeable. They have definitely become like our family in just 1 season at Fame. I can drop my girls off for practice, camps, anything and know they are in a safe environment. The classes are always well ran and organized. Safety is always a priority. Erica the owner has been very open and we feel we can come to her with any issues. We are thankful for our FAMEily and will be here for many seasons to come!

My daughter went to FAME for 2 seasons and it was a great experience. My daughter advanced in all her skills, gained confidence, and my made wonderful friends. As a parent, the coaches always heard me and answered all my questions regardless of what they were. We would still be members of FAME is we hadn't moved. Run in the opposite direction. The drama is worst then cheer moms. My daughter was a victim to a physical incident where two boys dropped mats on here and started jumping up and down. The staff member on duty was no where to be found while this was happening. When I arrived to pick my child up she refused to answer any questions which would provide and detail on the event. The only detail she could provide was my daughter cussed earlier that night. I called the gym owner immediately following which she returns a text message saying she was busying winning a cheer competition with her college team. The next day the gym owner calls me and somehow turns the entire incident into a "angry black female (me) was making the young white female (staff member) feel uncomfortable." She gave an apology for the incident then stated "I am more so calling today b/c I am concerned with the interaction you had with staff". Her staff member which is also her BFF falsified the entire night, the owner also stated she had witnesses confirming my "rage". Everything was flipped around to make me look like a monster when in reality her staff member was busy snap chatting while my daughter was getting smothered by huge cheer mats. She had blood shot eyes, blue lips, swollen ears, and couldn't catch her breath when I walked in as this was ending. It's sad how my family could be apart of a company, spend our hard earned money and receive no followup from any of her coaches on this incident, minus the owner when she was basically calling to tell us we were no longer a fit.. It's the true definition of deflection, it's wrong, and I want every parent to think about "what if this was your child" before enrolling your kid in this program. And the sad part is I thought we were all on good terms, we were liked, appreciated, valued and one big happy Fameily. Joke was on me - clearly as long as you don't go against the Fameily then you are good.
