Our programs emphasize a wholistic approach to self-improvement through fitness and nutrition coaching. Our in-person coaching structure is small group personal training making it affordable for you to get personalized programing and instruction with Coach Kat. Our Online coaching structure makes our programs user friendly and individualized regardless of location.
We serve a wide variety of clients, and specialize in serving tactical athletes (Military, First Responders and Martial Artists) and their families to help keep you healthy, meet your physical fitness requirements, and limit/manage injuries so that you can perform at your best.

Coach Kat is hands down the best trainer to work with. She provides workouts that are custom to your needs but also knows when you can be pushed a little bit more. Coach Kat does not make you feel dumb by not knowing equipment and teaches you proper use and form to increase your knowledge. I would recommend her hands down to anyone and everyone!

I have nothing but great things to say about Coach Kat. She is incredibly well versed in tailoring your workouts to support optimal performance in all walks of life. She has supported me through rehabbing injuries, improving my performance in sports, and just overall improving my health/wellness. After working with her for 1.5 years, I can confidently say that I am the strongest I have ever been. You would be hard pressed to find a better coach!

Coach Kat has worked with me ever since I was a late 20-something who could barely bench press an empty, 30 lb barbell, was at serious risk of failing my ACFT, and had no idea how to eat healthy without falling off the bandwagon. Thanks to her, I learned to love physical fitness and achieved more in nutrition, strength, cardio and flexibility than I ever thought was possible for me. After I PCS'd, she maintained a remote workout schedule for me at a reasonable price. She's been incredibly flexible with me and what workouts she gives ms so long as I communicate life events with her, ie. getting sick, going to the field, injury, etc. She's thoughtful about her routines for rebuilding strength following such life events, too. All in all, you can't go wrong with her as a coach, whether in person or remote, and I hope to stick it out with her for years to come.

Highly recommend this gym! Coach Kat is always ready to meet the clients where they are (fitness level, body type, various health conditions, etc) when they walk through her door. I’ve always been a gym person and one like this is hard to find. It’s a great community where everyone is made to feel welcome. There is not enough time to list all the wonderful attributes of having Coach Kat as your remote fitness coach. She is extremely knowledgeable, listens to your concerns, addresses your weaknesses and helps build you into something you never thought you could be. We've rehabbed through a tear in my achilles tendon and an emergency appendectomy. I am physically in a much better place than I was 2- 2 1/2 years ago because of her guidance and encouragement. If you are willing to follow the personalized program she builds for you.... the results will follow.

If I could give more stars, I would. Coach Kat is more than amazing and extremely knowledgeable with health and fitness, and can easily tailor your workouts to your needs, as well as nutrition knowledge, to ensure that you are in the best shape you could possibly be in. Because of Coach Kay’s guidance, I have been the strongest I have ever been, being 165 and able to deadlift 500lbs, squat 405lbs, and bench press 330lbs. If you are looking for a significant improvement in your physical fitness ability, Coach Kat at FCMA is right for you!

I can't say enough good things about Kat. She has worked with me for 4 years now. She has helped me improve my lifts and recover from injuries sustained from car wrecks and poor life decisions. She is passionate about fitness and movement. Not in a crazy everyone should have abs way, but in a learning and adapting way. Kat is an excellent strength and conditioning coach. She is very personable, understanding, and non-judgmental. I’ve been working with Kat long before she opened her own business. She was the strength and conditioning coach for the Newport News Police Department, where she created and received grants to establish the program.
I participated in the One City Marathon as part of a team of four, running in full uniform while holding a guidon. My leg of the marathon was the longest, covering 8 miles. The goal was to complete it in under 2 hours to keep the team on pace, as I was running the first leg. I finished in 1:50, thanks to Kat’s perfectly tailored training program. I peaked on the day of the run and couldn’t have achieved this without her guidance.
