I have been attending Fitness Together workouts twice a week for over a year now. My coach is most often Jimmy and sessions are about 45”. I am impressed with the knowledge and science behind my program. I say my program because the routines are tailor made for the individual. Jimmy is attentive, highly trained, and has been working with me long enough to know my limits and he takes me to them without injury or harm. I have gotten stronger, my stamina is improved, and I just feel better since starting this program. I recommend this company for anyone wishing to exercise for improving their strength, stamina, and overall health.

When I started at FT (Tysons), I thought... three months max, then I'm out. No, I'm still here eight months later - a bit stronger, more balanced and actually excited to train.
Ahmad made it happen; he makes challenging workouts feel doable, keeps routines creative and adapts on the fly, whether its a low-energy day or a changing need. He absolutely holds me accountable (even when I don't want to be) and brings high energy and encouragement to every session.

I love training at FT in Tysons Corner. The training team is truly that - a team - with great communication and business practices, and knowledgeable trainers who make a true effort to get to know the clients. I definitely feel like their approach to designing my programs and supporting my workouts is all about my growth, safety, and success. In summer of 2024, I set a goal to get fit and improve my health. After doing site visits on a few fitness facilities, I selected Fitness Together in Tysons. I definitely made the right choice! I started my program with FT at the end of summer and I have lost over 40 pounds. I have also gotten stronger. My family and friends notice the difference!Everyone starts the program with an initial fitness assessment with retesting about every 6 weeks. Your individual program is based on your initial and ongoing assessments—for any age group or fitness level. What I really like is having a program geared to my individual fitness and health needs and getting 100% individual attention from my personal trainer for the entire time I’m there. The trainers are awesome: Jason, Jimmy, Jake, Ahmad and others. After being at FT, I would find it hard to go to another place because I have had so much improvement and such a great experience. I have never “loved” working out and do not post a lot on social media or websites but had to share my experience at Fitness Together Tysons. I love it here and plan to continue!

Thankful I found FT and have been able to build muscle, get clear on what I need to do for the results I want, and (most importantly) stay consistent due to a set weekly schedule. Working out under the guidance of their experienced trainers has been wonderful and exactly what I needed to start strong and keep progressing. Everyone is extremely patient, kind, and knowledgeable, and the workouts are challenging and effective. It’s all tailored to your specific abilities and goals, including nutrition coaching. Their 6-8 week assessments are great for understanding how your body is improving and staying on track. I can’t recommend this place enough, it takes all the guesswork and stress out of trying to get as fit as you can.

I joined fitness together a little over a year and a half ago after realizing that in my 30s, I hadn't really had a lot of formal education or training on fitness or nutrition beyond high school gym classes. Because of that I'd gained weight as an adult and wasn't feeling as strong or mobile as I wanted to be.
After an initial class pack my wife and I are both on monthly plans to do guided workouts and additional workout + nutrition planning outside of that. We go in 1-2 times per week to get our butts kicked and talk about what is and isn't working with our assigned trainer, who can pull from the knowledge of an entire training staff to figure out a specific plan for you. On a monthly basis, we meet with our nutritionist to talk about our eating habits and goals in a judgment-free consultation. By all means this has resulted in a pretty decent overhaul of our habits to be doing healthier things on a regular basis.
I look better, I feel better, and I'm a lot more confident in my decisionmaking around fitness and nutrition because everyone is so willing to share their knowledge. Jake is my trainer and I've been beyond pleased with the program he has me on and the knowledge he shares, but between my wife and I we've worked with pretty much every trainer here and they're all excellent.
I would absolutely recommend fitness together for anyone who wants to learn and get better at taking care of themselves. It's been perfect for me as someone who got a little further in life than I'd maybe have wanted to before learning all of this stuff and getting in shape. 10/10 place, 10/10 people, 10/10 workouts.

I went to this gym for a couple of year under the previous management - and I liked it a lot and wrote a very positive review. Then COVID came along, that team left, and I took a long break from the gym. When I came back a few months ago it was an entirely new team - new owners and new trainers. And amazingly enough it's much better. The old management ran a mix of personal training and small classes. It's now 100% personal training, and it's not cheap.
What makes it worth the outlay: 1) the trainers are all excellent and experienced and are making a living doing what they do (so it's not a constantly changing staff); 2) It includes first-rate nutrition counseling. I thought of that as a nice add on, but it turned out to be absolutely essential - one of the most useful parts of the program; 3) Having a program built around where you are and what your specific needs are is far superior to classes, no matter how well run. You get an assessment, you get a program to address your needs and goals, and you get a reassessment every few weeks. As an example, even though I never mentioned it they zeroed right in on a problem I've had for years with upper-back mobility and now I'm working on it - and it's already much better; 4) The business management is also great. Questions get answered, balls don't get dropped, and everything works smoothly. They make it look easy - but it's not easy to achieve that level of excellence; and finally 5) Nice people!
Yeah, you can join a big gym with a bunch of machines for x dollars a month (I've done that). Or workout at home (I do that too and am pretty good at it). But this is really something special. If you are on the fence, give it a try. I'm pretty sure you will be convinced of the value.

The team at Fitness Together works like a well oiled machine and has great communication and managerial practices. I use the evening time slots and greatly appreciate that they are open at those times. My first goal when joining was to build my overall health, without injuring myself. The team, especially Marion, take great care and fully listen if I feel any of my old injuries acting up, and work to modify what we are doing right on the spot, and also adapt changes into the full program to keep me able to continue to move forward. You'll be in good hands in the Tyson's location if you are looking for good trainers.

I absolutely love FT. Personalized and aligned with your goals. For fitness, your specific sport you are trying to get better at, overall health and nutrition. The trainers are amazing and attentive and they truly spend the time to make every move right for you and then to execute each one correctly.
Brandon, my trainer, has spent time researching cycling (my sport) to incorporate movements and sequences that will make me stronger, faster, better when I’m outside cycling. He developed a plan taking my fitness level and my cycling goals into the mix. I seriously look forward to my 6 am workouts with Brandon. Brandon is very knowledgeable and really looks at even the tiny adjustments we have to make sometimes, just for me. He pushes me, encourages me, and celebrates me! Thank you, B!!

I am updating my three month review as I have now been working with Fitness Together for about 1.5 years. I am extremely happy with my experience with this business. The training program holds me accountable to my own strength training goals in a way that I have never been able to achieve with independent workouts. The trainers are all very friendly and strike the right balance between encouraging me to push myself, and also making modifications as needed or when something isn't feeling quite right. Last year, I injured my hip labrum and required two months of PT, but I only missed 2 weeks of training because FT coordinated with my PT provider to put together modified workouts that not only allowed me continue my overall strength training, but also helped to strengthen and stabilize the muscles around my injury, ultimately leading to a faster recovery and protecting me against re-injury going forward. FT Tysons ownership is friendly, responsive and always flexible when I need to schedule different training times around conflicts that come up for work or with the kids. This past May, I also began working with FT's nutritionist, Kristina, through their Lifestyle Membership. In that program, I have weekly zoom meetings with Kristina to set weekly nutrition goals and track my progress in meeting prior goals. Unlike other nutritionists I have worked with, Kristina understands the value of focusing on incremental behavioral changes to set me up for long term success, rather than just prescribing a meal plan. For example, after working with Kristina to identify a pattern of snacking late at night in front of the tv as my go-to way to unwind after a long day, we set a goal of doing another self-care activity for 20 minutes first. It is a small step that gives me the mental space to be a little more mindful and intentional about how I want to address this habit. When I follow through with that 20 minutes, the goal is met, even if I then still snack in front of the TV. But more often than not, this brief period of mindfulness is enough to enable me to forego the tv and snacking altogether. With Kristina, the key is to add small intentional steps in my regular routines, that create positive reinforcement for tackling the bigger issues with my eating habits. And it has been amazing how much more effective this approach has been for me, than to simply try to follow a healthy diet plan. I highly recommend both the personal training and the Lifestyle Membership at FT Tysons. Yes, it is expensive, but at age 48, my long-term health is a main priority for me and thanks to FT Tysons, I am stronger and healthier than I have been in years.

I've been working with Donovan and Jason for 4 weeks now and it has been a life changing experience so far.
I had struggled in the past to commit to a fitness routine of any kind. I was hesitant to commit to 3 days a week, and especially in the morning meaning I'd have to change my schedule too.
Right away after the initial assessment with Donovan I felt very welcomed and motivated to give this a shot. Starting a routine with Donovan I appreciated not only the structure of the workouts but the way he explained the goals and how it would fit with what I am looking for.
I was also nervous to be working with a different trainer 1 day a week than Donovan, but Jason has been amazing as well. I really appreciate the feedback Jason gives and how he goes out of his way to explain and answer the questions I have. He has great taste on music too!

Marion, my trainer has a lot of positive energy and is very encouraging in my weekly workouts. I joined Fitness Together because I needed guidance setting fitness goals and learning proper form when working out. During orientation, Shannon was the most approachable person possible. He listened to my story what brought me to seek personal training at this time, and took the time to understand me personally - what factors would make it or break it for me.
During training, I had a 2x/week schedule working one day with David, and one day with Donovan. Both David and Donovan are extremely knowledgeable (recognizing how to build muscle and avoid injuries), pushed me when I needed it, and also praised me when I needed that instead. I am a big guy and hadn't worked out in a couple years, but they made me look forward to each training.
Outside of training, I also got to meet with Kristina to talk about nutrition. She is equally easy to talk to, and worked with me how to make incremental choices, especially over meals I can't control (being provided lunch at work every day).
The team is also really big on measuring progress, which is really motivating to have exact numbers how my body has changed. I would recommend FT, especially to anyone who wants to build their knowledge and make a more permanent fitness change.

I was following my own workout routine and meal planning but didn’t see the results I wanted. I knew I needed to call in reinforcements. Donovan and David have been amazing coaches that have taken the time to hear my goals and consider my feelings along the way. They emphasized mind-muscle connection to take my workout experience to the next level. They play my favorite music and know how to keep me motivated throughout the workout, especially the challenging parts.
Also, on my fitness journey team is Kristina, who handles all things nutrition. She’s a great listener and really has shaped a program specifically to my needs while understanding my habits.

Wasn't sure what to expect when I got started with FT as this was my first time getting a 1 to 1 trainer. I can confidently say that my time so far with FT has been very satisfying and exceeded my expectations. Donovan, my trainer, has been knowledgeable and professional while being affable to make the sessions worthwhile and enjoyable. Since starting at FT I can feel my energy level increase and I feel better about myself. I started at Fitness Together because I wanted to lift heavier weights but do it safely. The team met with me numerous times to ensure our goals were aligned so they could create a program tailored to ME. It has been such an incredible experience as the program changes every 6 weeks, giving you a variety of moves to work toward your common goal. In addition, the whole team is so nice and professional, sometimes I think “how can you be this perky and helpful at 6 am?!?” But they truly are, which makes those early morning work outs even better. I’m feeling so much stronger each week and I know it’s due to their technical expertise in this field to push me, but in a safe way! All of the trainers have been amazing, but a huge shout out to Tee for being my number one cheerleader through this whole process. I can’t recommend this group enough!

The entire family is now on board. This program is really something more than just having a trainer. It incorporates your goals (weight and eating habits) to come to the desired outcome. When I first started at FT I had just had major surgery and was really wanting to lose a lot of weight and get myself stronger. The trainers at FT are very accommodating with injuries and they definitely helped me to make progress towards reaching my goals. I've been working with them for almost a year now and they have helped me to drop 80 pounds and increase my muscle mass by so much!
All of the trainers are great people and I love coming into their facility since it is so clean and very private. They always make sure to check in and adjust the workout depending on if you are injured, sick, or just had a really hard day and need to lessen your load a bit. They are great people and I would totally recommend them!
The only way to reach your fitness goals is to take the first step and keep consistency. For people like me that can be hard but FT helps to keep myself accountable and they know how to push your limits without overworking you.

I learned Kristina, dietician at Fitness Together, doesn’t believe in diets, she believes in holistic eating which is a new concept for me. After listening to what my two meals per day consisted of, she talked about taking “baby steps” to improve my eating habits. First, to add protein, twice a day was most easily done with 0 Fat, plain Greek yogurt. Since the idea of plain yogurt seemed impossible for me, she suggested adding nuts or berries. I was already drinking protein smoothies three times a week; she recommended I increase to six.
Oh my gosh, the benefits I noticed:
First: Relief was arthritis: I took Tylenol almost daily for my swollen and painful arthritic knees. I’m down to almost none. Evidently, yogurt is anti-inflammatory.
Second: IBS is controlled. From taking Pepcid AC every evening, I’m down to almost none.
Third: Diabetes is more controlled. My glucose levels have dropped twenty points. My old low is now my new high.
Fourth: No more cravings. My super cravings for sweets and fatty food is totally gone. I can enjoy a piece of sweet, but I can walk past a piece of chocolate now and it’ll leave me cold. A brand-new experience for me.
Fifth: I feel better and have more energy, if only because I don’t hurt.
Who would have thought that at age 77 I could improve my health? I thought, for my age, I was doing fine.
When Kristina predicted some of these changes at the beginning of our journey I was skeptical. However, here we are, about three months later, I have a new lease on life.
This morning my doctor was almost giddy with my blood test results.

Fitness Together is not a gym in the classic sense. If it had been, I may not have contacted them. Instead, at FT, you hire an experienced personal trainer who has the education and skills to create personalized programs for each client, and the passion to help them reach their goals. And your sessions take place in one of three private studios - just you, your trainer and your program.
I looked into FT because we had a new grandson on the way. While I imagined holding him and playing with him, I was confronted with the reality that I'd been aging at a desk job without much focus on fitness for a decade. FT has turned into the best decision I've made for myself in years.
I started working with Tee and David in November. I have grown stronger and more flexible every day since, and am happy to report I was ready when baby Holden arrived. I'm not done yet as I imagine the next goal will involve keeping up with a toddler soon. I know this team will get me there ~ and even beyond.
Is the service to cost a good value? Absolutely. Results are great motivators. Working with people you trust who meaningfully respect you is also great. And then there's this intangible thing that is so wrapped up with interest and concern ~ tossed in humor and warmth ~ it can only be described as family. Priceless!

Shannon and the trainers: Temuulen, David, and Justin really know their stuff. They are constantly challenging me to do more. They keep excellent track of my progress and offer support beyond the gym walls. I also really enjoy working with Kristina the nutrition specialist. She has provided me with so many easy and health recipes. She really listens to me and helps me make the best choices possible for my dietary changes. I have lost 13 + pounds so far and I attribute that to Kristina's guidance and the training sessions with Tee, David, and Justin. I have been with FT Tysons for about 7 years and have been very satisfied with the trainers, and the dedication to providing a comfortable experience in a semi-private environment. I'm in relatively good shape, but that is mainly due to the commitment of working out 3 times each weeks with the trainers. Having it scheduled is EVERYTHING. If you are not feeling particularly spry on any given day, the trainers understand that and will accommodate you--no problem. Each of the workout rooms is relatively small, but that is fine for all the exercises we do and it promotes a more comfortable feeling when trying new exercises. Also, a hidden benefit was that I was able to have great conversations with my trainers. I really liked that part of the experience. I highly recommend FT Tysons for anyone like me, 40+ who is looking for a reliable, sustainable way to stay fit for the rest of their lives without the risk of an exercise-related injury.

I always feel uplifted after my workouts with the personal trainers at FT Tysons. They seem to genuinely care about me and enjoy what they do. Since the rooms are private, I do not feel intimidated or competitive about how much weight I can (or cannot) lift. The workouts always seem to be just the right intensity for me.
