I started at Five Peaks to build a stronger core with the intention to prevent flare ups in a lower lumbar herniated disc. I had no idea that it would be a journey through learning to connect my mind, body and spirit. And more so the amazing community that it would become for myself and my children. The entire experience has redefined the term community for me into knowing that it is a group of people willing to grow together.
The nature walks with Bridgette allowed me to take my children along and expose them to supportive community members.
The HIIT and Barre classes with Michelle and Karen brought an opportunity to challenge my body.
Fellow students like Anna were inspirational in their own practices and promoted a welcoming and motivational place to hone a yoga practice.
Joel’s passion and knowledge have been an encyclopedia of wisdom crafted over thousands of years across the globe.
Lori’s passion and energy is shared and consumable by all the students.
And the invitation to be authentic coupled with unconditional respect and love from Lauren has supported growth I never knew was within my abilities to achieve.
My children and I are better because of the time spent at Five Peaks and with such an amazing community of teachers and students.
And my spine doctor has been amazed at the flexibility and strength I’ve been able to build.

I had the most wonderful experience at Five Peaks Yoga in Purcellville for the Yin | Restorative | Nidra class with Hadeel on Friday, September 5th at 4PM. The atmosphere was calm, welcoming, and deeply supportive from the moment I walked in. Hadeel guided us with such warmth and clarity, creating a space that felt both grounding and rejuvenating. The combination of yin, restorative, and yoga nidra was the perfect blend for releasing tension and finding inner stillness. I left feeling refreshed, peaceful, and so grateful for the practice. Highly recommend this class and this beautiful instructor!

Great classes for any level of yoga experience if you're semi fit and can move your body comfortably. More like a workout than just meditative stretching. I've never done yoga before or workout ever, but I could keep up with a couple modifications. But there have been pregnant people in the same class as people doing hand stands. The teachers are good about helping you find a version of each pose that works for you.

I did the $49 two week unlimited trial and went to my first class this morning. It was pretty awesome! There were only three other women and they were all at varying levels (which was really nice) and the instructor was amazing. Everyone was super welcoming and friendly. Definitely going to get my two weeks worth and who knows....maybe I'll become a yogi!!??

November 21. This was a rigorous, one-hour Yoga class in a steamy setting. Restorative-regenerative Yoga. Michelle led the class through a warm-up and then a series of Vinyasa moves that really taxed my abilities. I was able to keep up and complete most of the positions. She gave us good guidance and also came around to help individuals with their poses. In my case this was very helpful. I enjoyed the session. There were no surprises; I knew most of the poses. Michelle kept telling me to slow down going into a pose; I was trying too hard. This was very good advice, and she helped me with several different poses. All in all, it was a demanding but very good class. I recommend Five Peaks as a center for Yoga practice and Michelles as an outstanding teacher.

I feel so blessed and lucky to have found Five Peaks Yoga. I practiced yoga for over a decade on and off this is the first time I felt that I finally found a studio to call my home. You truly feel a sense of community here whether you are a newcomer, a regular attendee or even as a one time drop in. I personally really enjoy hot yoga. It’s not an overwhelming temperature in the studio but be ready to sweat!! The 6 am classes have been really special for me and so happy they offer it. It’s truly a great way to start the day. From Power Yoga to Vinyasa Flow, to Yin… they really have it all. I also really appreciate their various workshop offerings and sound baths. Michelle’s sound bath session area VERY special. I will never forget the experiences I had from them.

I joined the studio earlier this year, after having been at an excellent yoga studio in Florida. I didn’t think I would find anything better, but I did at Five Peaks. The community is very special, and every single instructor brings his or her personality and flavor to the class. I am grateful for this place and the people who have become my yoga family.

This space is like a warm hug from a good friend.💚 Very inviting and accommodating for all levels. I came to take the slow restorative class at the end of a really hard week 😓 because I knew it would help. The class was called “restorative” for a good reason. I’ve enjoyed it tremendously, so much so that I actually fell asleep in shavasana at the end. 😴💤 it was so grounding, just perfect, just what I needed! Colure’s voice is like warm honey 🍯 melting all of your troubles away 🥰 i’ll be back soon! 💚

I must say, I’m extremely displeased and disappointed in Five Peaks Yoga. Until today, I have been extremely happy with my 12 month unlimited membership, however, it all changed today for me.
I was informed late last week that one of my medications has a severe side effect; heat stroke. Due to the severity of this side effect with my medication that is essential, I sent an email to the yoga studio which included my doctor’s medical advice via email.
The email states from my doctor that I cannot be outside or participate in activities over a certain temperature. Unfortunately , this also includes heated yoga from what she told me during my last visit. With this new news, I emailed Lori from Five Peaks Yoga about cancelling my 12 month contract.
This was her response today via email:
“The 12 month contract is a commitment without exclusions, however, i do have some options built into the contract that may be helpful. If you would like to use the cost of your family membership towards private sessions (our Purcellville studio has a room that is below 85), we can work together to make that happen. Another option is to transfer your membership towards someone you know who may want to take over your contract phase.“
I’m sorry, but both options do not work. Purcellville is far from where we live and I do not have family local to the state to even consider having them take over my contract. Let alone, anyone that lives near this yoga studio to take over the contract. I now know the studio is more focused on making money instead of member’s health being the top priority. Is that one of the basic yoga principles?
It’s surreal that a yoga studio would tell me that I cannot cancel my membership due to a medical condition with a letter attached directly from my doctor; advising me not to participate.
Most gyms and yoga studios that I have visited urge participants to follow the advise of their medical practitioners.
The two “options,” are not options that are helpful or help me in this situation. Why would a yoga studio want to have a person with serious known side effects due to daily medication, to participate in activities that clearly could result in adverse long lasting effects or death?
I plan to share this complaint everywhere! This is bad practice for a small business. Especially one dedicated to health, wellness and advocacy of one’s being. Including the Better Business Bureau.
I will never again rave about Five Peaks Yoga or recommend anyone to this small business. Thank you disregarding my health and making money your ultimate priority.

200 Hour Training: I came into the Five Peaks 200hr training curious and inspired, but not entirely sure what I was looking for. What I got was much more than I expected. While I learned the structure of a satisfying asana class, that was only one part of what I got from this training. I learned about the other limbs of yoga, and how to use all of them to support myself through the ups and downs of life, on and off the mat. Another amazing part of this program was the sense of community. Through this training I got to connect with the teachers as well as the other trainees in a deep way. Whether or not you see yourself teaching in the future, I would recommend this training. You will find a new depth to your practice and connect with a great community.

I have enjoyed settling into the Five Peaks community the past month. The heated vinyasa flow classes are amazing and all the teachers I've had have been amazing. I highly recommend the yin yang on Friday afternoons and sticking around for the guided meditations after practice on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Michelle, Lori, Joel, Crystal, Karen are all amazing (as I'm sure are the other teachers who I've not yet tried!)

For the avid yogi residing in Northern Virginia, Five Peaks is hands down the best Yoga studio, ever. In my 7 years of weekly practice, I've been to many yoga studios in the area. And, while many have their strengths, Five Peaks has something no other studio in the area has: ESSENCE. It fully captures the very essence of Yoga. At other studios, you merely "do" yoga. At Five Peaks, you move, sweat, breathe, and LIVE your yoga practice. There's something deeply spiritually here. Beyond learning how to do my first crow pose and headstand here, I've learned how to surrender and let go of feelings and emotions that I carry with me--through my yoga practice at Five Peaks. Lauren, the owner, is a tour de force. Not only is she a badass female business owner. She's an amazing Yoga teacher (and energy healer) who has developed something special. That special something has rubbed off on so many of the wonderfully talented instructors here--Lori, Michelle, Colin, Joel, Sascha, and Crystal among others--and they have each passed a sense of joy and peace to members of the community here, as well. It's not a coincidence that many of the Yoga teachers were previously students, who were inspired by the energy, breath, and life that Five Peaks Yoga brought about in their lives. I can't say enough great things about this studio and community. But, if you're looking for a Yoga studio with fancy bells and whistles (i.e. amenities), you will not find that here. If you're a practicing yogi, an aspiring yogi, someone who simply wants to find THE BEST way to get started with Yoga, or simply desire to increase the level of ease and FLOW in your life, then you'll fall in love with Five Peaks, time and time, again...

It might just be your new home too.

Absolutely love this studio. My favorite thing about it is the accommodations to all levels of fitness and the family like atmosphere created by every single instructor. When I first joined back in October, I was (and am still) a beginner to yoga and was unsure about the intensity that comes with hot yoga. But I feel like each instructor is happy that you are there and so encouraging. They take the time to show you different levels of intensity and what works for you! I was on the fence of renewing because of price and my own personal schedule but honestly, It is worth every penny - I haven’t looked back since!

OMG I am so happy I found this studio. I was just laid-off and it is a bit strange not to have a schedule, and thank god I get up and go to Five Peaks almost everyday. It is a bit far from me but the teachers are legit, the studio is nice and clean and they offer many different classes at good times throughout the day.
I love rocket and power flow. I am excited to try yin later this week.

My husband and I started going to Five Peaks a few months ago and fell in love with the space and the teachers. It’s a warm (hot yoga lol) and inviting environment. Five Peaks Studio is unlike any other yoga studio. My favorite thing about this Studio is that if you want to just have an intense workout in a heated studio - you can have that here, but if you're looking for something a little deeper that is available here. All of the teachers embrace the spiritual side of yoga - the 8 limb path, the spiritual practice of yoga. It's offered to students in such an approachable but also curious way. If you want to know why we practice yoga, the experience is there. Additionally the community of the studio is unmatched. If you want to get involved, they offer have trainings, workshops, even week long retreats. Five Peaks isn't just a place to get a work out, it's a place for community, experience, and transformation!

Wonderful studio and wonderful staff! Five Peaks feels like you are just in the right place every time you walk in. Each teacher brings something a little different and they have a beautiful way of weaving in yoga philosophy to the practice in a manner that is accessible to beginners and advanced yogis alike. The modifications they provide also exemplify how each teacher is seasoned and knowledgeable so that the physical practice is accessible to all levels, as well. I was really excited for Purcellville yoga to have a hot yoga studio. I took a class when it first opened felt a little disappointed by it but was talked into getting a package for the month by someone which was only $40. I then went to another class after leaving my water bottle and staying after to get it but the instructor was more worried about flirting with someone rather than helping me get the water bottle that I never got back. I obviously never came back and then was charged 130 auto renewed fee which I didn't know I was signed up for a monthly membership which I didn't even do on my own, a worker signed me up for. As a yoga instructor myself I felt very disappointed by these poor business practices, treatment, and the classes.

I was thrilled when this yoga studio opened in my area. I had a studio that I attended religiously before having children, but lack of time and life in general made it less appealing to pull myself away from my family. In the meantime, I tried other yoga studios closer to home, but I was never blown away. Then I found Five Peaks.
In the time that I've been practicing there, my expectations have been exceeded in every way. The teachers truly care about each and every student and it shows. As a Type A girl, I love that you can expect a somewhat similar flow from class to class, but with fun poses thrown in to keep it light and playful. I've never truly laughed as much in a yoga class, while still getting a top notch work out.
If you're looking for community, look no further. Five Peaks is amazing!
