I like the gym and I go most everyday. They just recently raised the thermostats to 72 degrees and is TOO HOT if you are working out. If you are sitting on the machines and playing on your phone, 72 degrees is just right.

The company allows men in womens locker rooms and are not protecting females at all!!! Women stand up for yourself! As a corporationg, i will not be supporting them whatsoever. Hold yourself accountable. A woman was alone in the bathroom and was assaulted and they revoked her membership, not the mans.

The equipment is decent but I hate literally everything else about this gym. To make matters worse, it took months to cancel despite trying to reset my account and never getting a code to login, sent in a certified letter, it was ignored, finally after the 3rd call the manager confirmed my membership had been cancelled. Don’t really believe that they’re going to stop billing me since they hadn’t the previous 3 months so I closed my credit card account to be safe. Seriously can’t stand this gym, just all around awful. Highly recommend you try any other gym and only use this place as a last resort.

Received a missed call/ voicemail from this number, and returned the call not recognizing the phone number.. a front desk member from this Gold’s Gym answers, I tell him that I received a call from this number and I was just returning the call. He replies, in a very rude tone, “no you didn’t”. I reply, “I just received a call from this number but okay..” he replies, once again in a very rude tone, “okay, bye” and hangs up in my face. Keep in mind, once I realized it was Gold’s Gym calling me, it made sense because I tried out the gym last week on a free pass. And I was STRONGLY considering joining this gym after trying it out last week. But after this weird interaction with this very rude front desk member, I will just continue to give my money to planet fitness. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Been to many Golds Gym and this is by far the dirtiest outdated Golds Ive been to. Weights all over the floor, everywhere you go in the gym. I have no idea why the facility wont invest in a rack for weights.....baffles me!

I like the gym. But the restrooms always stink, if equipment breaks it takes them forever to repair it, the kids club hours are never consistent with what is listed online, and me and my girlfriend have both had issues with being charged a fee when we paid our bill later in the day rather than first thing in the morning. And management never seems to want to be of any help in those situations. 2 stars

The lady at the front desk today around 10am was really rude. She had a bad attitude and made us want to walk back out and leave. I was a guest visiting with my sister and can’t say I’d ever become a member myself based on my experience with the staff. Nice gym otherwise.

I heard a rumor that the owners of Golds Gym Colonial Heights is considering closing the kids club. After already cutting the hours. I have worked and worked out at this location for a couple years. As a new mom kids club is so important for us moms who keep fitness a priority. The ladies in kids club are amazing and my son loves them. Those 2 hours I get to myself while at the gym are my saving grace, otherwise I’d probably lose my mind. If this rumor is true, I think you’d be making a terrible misstep. I would have to leave this gym and move to another that does provide childcare. I don’t want to have to do that but if kids club closes I’d have no choice. I will be asking other Golds members to leave similar reviews in hopes that the owners hear our plea and choose not to close kids club.

This has been my absolute favorite location for going on five years now.
Their kids club hours WERE(past tense) widely accommodating, Until recently, when the hours have been changed/ cut to shorter less reasonable hours for parents. As well as less staff members operating the kids club, resulting in not as many children able to be attended to At one time. Leaving so many parents waiting, unable to work out. Being a parent at this location means that you are less of a member your needs are not prioritized /valued anymore. It’s unfortunate. This location will be losing so many members because management doesn’t feel kids club is important.

The recent change to the kids zone hours to save money or make your bottom line look better is a major inconvenience to you members who are parents and have to balance their schedule and plan when they can come in.

I’ve been a member of this gym since 2011. The addition of the kids zone during this time was great as my family continued to grow. This has me considering cancelling my membership, my wife’s and my oldest son’s to find a gym who cares more about their members than saving a buck.

I’ve been trying to cancel my membership for weeks now! They said the only way to get it canceled is sending a letter.. it’s 2025 and you want me to send you a letter to cancel my membership ? No website, no phone call ? I talked to Golds HQ and they said this is a franchise and I’ll have to deal with them well so I guess I’m going to buy some postal stamps 😂 absolutely garbage costumer service! Golds gym (this location in specific) will NEVER have my business again

When the weather is pleasant, there is a place to work out outside.. I won't put any other gym in the area down (one across the street), but if you are serious about getting in shape, GOLDS IS THE PLACE!!!

P.S. Big Shout out to the guy who works here and is always cleaning! True hustler!

Cancel Before You Move or Regret It – This Gym Holds On Like a Bad Ex

Let me be blunt:

Gold’s Gym in Colonial Heights, VA, is the Houdini of membership traps. Easy to join, nearly impossible to escape.

Here’s what they don’t put in the glossy brochure:

• Canceling is a medieval quest. You must show up in person and speak to a manager or send a certified letter. In 2025, this is absurd. No email. No app. No phone call. Just hoops and headaches.

• Billing smoke and mirrors. That "30-day notice" they mention? It’s a billing Bermuda Triangle. You might still get charged depending on your cycle, even if you’re already halfway out the door.

• They’ve heard this all before, and they don’t care. Dozens of reviews echo this exact frustration, and still, no improvement. Instead, brace yourself for a generic “we’re sorry you feel this way” response.

Bottom line: If you're planning to move or even thinking about switching gyms, cancel early, way early. Otherwise, you’re donating free money to a business that banks on your inconvenience.

Watch how fast they copy and paste their response below.

Several members came in to attend the (virtual ) yoga class on Tuesday 4 June that was listed and there was no instructor OR virtual session. I arrived early at 8:30 and saw the previous virtual class playing on the screen. As 915 approached, I waited inside the group room as other members approached, and there were no screens or instructor present. After waiting about five minutes, I went to the front desk and ask if they were going to start the virtual class. The service rep was pleasant enough, but did not know how to start the class. When asked if someone would come in, he said he did not know. I then asked for the manager he said the manager was not present at the time and not sure when one would arrive . I decided to wait another 15 minutes to see if someone would come an event eventually at 9:35. I left along with everyone else who attended the class being that was their purpose of traveling to the gym for that reason.. I do understand circumstances and this is a rare situation that we faced however, if they are going to be virtual classes, training should be provided to the front desk, workers to start the class's on the screen, troubleshoot or contact management to at least allow for the classes to continue, especially if we’re traveling for that purpose to go and attend

I am active duty military here at Fort Greg Adams. I got told I wasn’t able to use a free pass because other policies and guidelines are against it if you do not have a Virginia drivers license. I Have a Connecticut drivers license and I don’t switch my license state to state every time I move or travel.
I tried to ask about active and fit direct, but apparently this specific gold gym doesn’t accept that so This was one of the worst experiences I have had with a gym in my life. They didn’t even try to attempt to get me a membership at the gym. They requested that I pay for a day pass. Also, I had to wait around for one lady that only knew these guidelines and couldn’t show me them when I asked for them multiple times she just said she will deny me. I would attempt to be trying to call corporate because they were very rude and just very unprofessional there. Definitely not a gym I recommend to anyone, especially if you are a consistent gym member

You can sign someone else up but cannot cancel the account you set up. Not sure how that's legal - but they seem to think that it makes sense.

Oh and as a bonus even when you do manage to cancel they still charge you for an extra month - so cancelled mid January but they're going to bill in February for an additional month. Thankfully we're both young enough that they're losing out on decades of future sales based on their inappropriate and questionably legal Service Agreement. Can't wait to he part of the class action suit 😂

I went in for a tour of the place, because I was thinking about joining. The person giving the tour gave very little information and didn’t seem to know much about the place or able to answer most of my questions. That was a big red flag. The place is laid out in a very disjointed and confusing way. But the main reason I did not want to join is because of their archaic system to cancel a membership as well as use another gold’s gym in another location. What a hassle! The fact that you need a manager present to cancel a membership… Or send in a certified letter is ridiculous. It’s obvious it’s a stall tactic, probably in hopes that the member will get tired of trying, and they’ll get a couple more months out of your membership. It should be as easy as the way other fitness centers do it… Through technology, you should be able to cancel with a click of a button!
Until golds gym changes this policy, I think they are going to have people rightly upset about this… Just read all the other reviews and the complaint is the same. Yet they do nothing about it. They just explain why they have the system in place they do….. which they probably will do again in response to this review!

This gym has been my therapy…literally (mentally, emotionally, and physically). The weights don’t care what kind of day I’ve had. They (the weights) welcome the aggression + progression. The weights aren’t envious. The weights get roughed up and say after the set, “that’s all you got?” The gym is part of my weekly battle rhythm and to see my fellow brothers and sisters getting after it night after night is motivating. The members are focused, personable, and considerate. The management and staff are tremendous! After 4 years I have never been without a fist bump, head nod, a joke, or a spot if needed. Stop waiting and come discover your best self.

Needed a gym for 2 months total. Was told at front desk when I signed up that my best option was to pay higher monthly fee. Was billed an ANNUAL fee 45 days into my membership. No problem I told the front desk I understand, but now that I moved I am calling in to cancel. “You must come in person or send a certified letter” was her response. Then why did front desk say that it was okay for me to cancel once I moved? Now I will spend more of my money to get certified mail to their gym and cancel that way.

The gym itself is FILTHY!!! Bathrooms smelled of a outhouse every time I was there. No scales in the entire gym. How do you track progress with no scales? Weights are all mismatched (some rubber coated plates were damaged) and most of the bars need replacement/oil (except the bars in the powerlifting section) deadlift platforms needed replaced probably 5 years ago. It’s not safe to use as they flooring is uneven. ALOT of the machines need some repairs. Bicep curl machine where you add free weights is practically unusable and not safe (rubbing). Floors in dumbbell area is not ideal either. The one cable machine is not in the best shape either.

In conclusion, if Arnold walked in here I reckon he would not be impressed. From staff training during membership signups to equipment maintenance, all the way to cleanliness….this place needs an overhaul. Hopefully owner will read this and take action. Colonial Heights needs a good gym to throw around heavy weight and this is the best we got?! Disappointing…

Compare this to Midlothian golds…night and day difference.

As many other people have mentioned on here trying to cancel your membership is awful. My husband is military and I tried 3 times prior to moving across country to cancel my membership. I worked 7:30am-5:15pm and would come on my lunch breaks at 1pm. I was told cancellations only happen during 11:30am-5:00pm and the manager was unavailable at 1pm. I’ve called since moving and have not been given a direct answer on how to cancel my membership. I switched bank accounts and they were sure to call me to update my payment method but no call back on cancelling my membership. It’s never been this hard to cancel a membership with any other gym. Ymca and planet fitness were both much easier to get out of.

Been a member there a couple times and had bad experiences with each. I used to go early in the morning about 3am, and saw attendants sleeping at the desk, not available for questions, help, or security of who was coming in and out of the facility. Additionally, I called to see how much it was to bring my military spouse in to workout and was given a price of $10 on the phone, but then had to pay $20 when he showed up. I explained I was told $10 and no apology was given, no exception….. after the fact I was told he’d be discounted for being military. That’s a shame being so close to Ft Lee. I left for a while to try out other options which DID better suit my family, however, now I will be moving and golds is the closest to my home. I considered going back despite the previous experiences I’ve had and immediately chose to not do it after the phone conversation I had today. I explained I was thinking of rejoining, however I’d need childcare…I explained to the associate that I had a socially limited child who I’d need child care for, and I wanted to come in and see if he’d even entertain the idea of going into the kids club before I committed to a membership there again. My request wasn’t unreasonable, currently a member at the ymca, and they were happy to let my child explore the kids area to make sure he was comfortable BEFORE I began spending my money on something that possibly wouldn’t work for my family. I was quickly told “no”….. which was surprising but only confirmed what I’d long known about this gym——- they are not a family oriented gym, the children of members are not a top priority, and they clearly cater to more heavy lifters, power lifters and body builders than any other kind of member. If you are looking for a family oriented gym that provides correct information to members, is sensitive to different types of children that may attend their kid centers, and cares about all members equally, try the YMCA, AMFAM also does a pretty good job too if you’re willing to pay that price. Very disappointed in the overall experience I’ve had here. I did not feel secure respected or cared for at this location. Think before you commit.** Because they DO NOT make it easy to cancel your membership***

It looks like I’ve had the same issue as MOST others reviewing: the cancellation policy is terrible. I am a long-time gym-goer (was with LA Fitness and 24 Hour Fitness for years) and decided to give this place a try since it was the closest gym to my house. After I moved, that wasn’t the case so I had to cancel.

I called the gym nearest me (this location) and they told me to send a signed letter. I did. Two months pass and I was STILL being billed so I told my bank to dispute and decline any further transactions from this merchant.

I called the gym where I signed up and I am told that they “did me dirty” at this Southpark location and that I should EMAIL because sending a letter was not the way cancellation should be done. So I email in November and they refuse to backtrack to September. I went back and forth for WEEKS (granted ONE manager was kind but he seemed like he was in over his head) and no resolution. I then was able to get through to someone over the phone and explained the situation in detail and yep, they made me pay the Oct/Nov dues despite me saying I sent in the letter. So wrong, but glad it’s finally over with.

DO NOT JOIN IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR CONVENIENCE.

Administration, grant your managers more leeway in helping customers stay happy. My family moves around a lot (military) and I always join a gym. If in the future I am near a golds (and I likely will be), I am certainly not joining even if it’s the closest option.

I tried to cancel in person before going to the field. The manager wasn't there to cancel me on a Monday at 3pm. I canceled after the field and I was charged the annual fee and an extra month.

I thought when I first joined in August that it would be smooth sailing and its been anything but transparent. Keep getting charged amounts for “annual fees” and if you want something fixed you need a manager for that. Not to mention the gym cant handle rain and gets equipment soaked inside the gym. On top of all of this the gym is always unorganized from weights shifted everywhere to running around trying to find a certain plate you need. All around not a good experience. (Not to mention people leaving there gym bags and etc on benches like its their personal locker)

The place is meh overall. You can do better elsewhere. I have seen nicer gyms in Afghanistan with the military. Plus they make canceling your subscription a nightmare. If you come in person apparently it can only be done Monday through Friday between the hours of 10am to 5pm. Likely to make canceling so inconvenient you can't be bothered to deal with it so they can continue to leech money off of you. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Ran to this Gold location today to get a quick out in. There are a lot of options for equipment. And the weights were re-racked throughout my workout. That is a major plus because at some locations you have to search for the weights and that takes a lot of time. The gym was clean and the staff was very friendly. Also the outdoor workout area was a plus!!!

When I joined years ago, this gym was great. It has declined in the last year to the point I do not recommend. They cater to heavy weight lifters, put equipment on the outside turf so you can’t workout there anymore, bathrooms are out of order often and not cleaned, the AC in the studio is always broken, and clearly the staff doesn’t check it often because we had a class this am and they had no idea. Management clearly wants to eliminate all classes, members disrespect the classes by interrupting or leaving equipment for the class members to clean up and management just sucks. They do not care about the members…or only a particular group.

The gym is fine but God help you if you want to cancel your membership. There is supposedly one person who can do this and she’s never available. I have been to this place 5 times now. I always call, she’s there, I show up and she’s mysteriously on break or had to leave for an emergency.

I've been to a lot of gyms, And when I first arrived in Virginia I thought I would try out a Gold's Gym because of their reputation. I was quickly disappointed by their lack of equipment. And just how unnecessarily incompetent their staff seemed to be. From being unable to answer certain questions, to not being able to provide me with assistance over the weekend without management approval, I have since canceled my membership and will be looking for gyms elsewhere. Very disappointed from a franchise who by all other accounts has a good reputation in the bodybuilding community.

To preface this review, the two stars are given only because it is indeed possible to get a workout completed here. The gym works in its most basic function.

One of the largest drawbacks of this location, specifically, is the overall lack of cleanliness. Having moved down from New York City for the summer, I was looking forward to utilizing the expansive bodybuilding equipment that this location has to offer. I’ve been to this location and the Gold’s at Willow Lawn in the past, and I grabbed a free one day trial pass to feel it out again. I have quite literally used dozens of gyms throughout the world, and this was the only one where I needed to pause my workout and go wash my hands after using any sort of barbell or machine. Holding gym members accountable for cleaning equipment after use is one thing, but a blatant absence of standards by the gym staff is both evident and inexcusable. I don’t know if I recall ever seeing a staff member leave the front desk area and clean any part of the gym or its equipment.

I do appreciate the recent expansion outdoors with the CrossFit racks, however the outdoor area just might be the cleanest section of the gym. Additionally, the customer service at the front desk is bare-bones and mediocre at best. I can honestly say that the highlight here was with the iPad on the counter to enter my information. There is no interest or attempt at establishing rapport, and for the cost of signing up there are so many other options in the tri-cities area that blow this gym out of the water—even other Gold’s Gym locations!

By far worst gym I've been to, and I have always wanted to try Golds Gym. I'm here for school and wanted to join a gym while here. Worst mistake ever they do not even have enough equipment to support a small group working out. I literally just walked in and went to every excercise I could do for my chest workout all machines were taken so i left disappointed. They need way more equipment and the people there need to know what gym etiquette. Re rack the weights please, staff did nothing they can't even keep paper towels stocked to clean off equipment.

Never had a issue with the over all gym. It’s your typical golds gym (weights thrown everywhere, no flow of equipment and dated equipment), only had a issue with canceling my membership. Like most places you can cancel online or over the phone. Not the case at this place. You have to do it in person or send a certified letter to have it canceled.. They will not work with you either over the phone on trying to cancel it. So if you are TDY for a school please use American Family Fitness. Their facilities are way better and they actually will work with you on these matters.

Don't get me wrong I really do like the equipment, staff, hours, and the fact that it never seems to be packed which makes circuit style exercising very easy. I only am giving this gym 2 stars because of their misleading information on their website. It states the minimum age for the kids club is 6 weeks when it turns out it is 6 MONTHS. Same problems as others recently. Decent facility, absolute terrible management and cancellation issues. Military, PCS'ing to another state, sent a registered letter that had to be signed for since management was never there to cancel in person. Management said they never received the letter. Would not respond to emails. Had to call every 15 mins for hours on multiple days just to reach billing manager Valencia Valentine who is the only person who can cancel. I love this gym, I have been a member for over 4 years now and I keep coming back because the quality matches the experience. You pay so little but you get so much out of it (life is what you make it). I see some people have complained about lack of equipment that is available found at other gyms but you would have to pay a higher price point for those additional wants. I am satisfied with what is offered despite the pandemic interfering with the ability to exercise normally (but that is out of the company’s control.) I also feel that the staff is professional and well trained and the manager has taken his time to ensure any of my concerns were resolved, big or small. I appreciate all that I have gotten out of Golds Gym and I will continue to be a member for as long as I am able. There is no other gym I would rather be. (Unless they got a pool :)

A dirty place all around. Tried to cancel membership and they will not, now want a letter sent in. I emailed starting in May, called when they opened they said to come in person. Went into the place and they only have that one person between 10 and 5 to cancel. Who was no where to be found and didn't know when she would be back. Mind you it was mid day around 1. I can see if it was a normal world theses days. The world has changed and this place needs recheck it's processes. No wonder they are bankrupt.I see I not the only one having or getting the runaround. Seems we all need to get our attorney involved. I filled my complaint with Attorney generals office. Sure hope others will follow. Also going to call the news channels if I need too.

They will probably respond to this like they care but do not. Please know you sign up they will force you to keep paying.

So it seems they don't read either.. I clearly state I have been in to the colonial heights branch to cancel but they refused. I also contact Shep the manager both email and phone. So wonder who is writing on Golds behalf as it seems communication isn't something they know about

It’s honestly not a bad gym environment, however I give two stars for how shady they have acted when I’ve tried to cancel my membership. I called up there to see about cancelling and during a global pandemic I am told I have to come to the gym in person to cancel. I go to the gym to cancel around 6:30 pm Thursday evening bc I work 9-5 hours. Upon arrival I am told I cannot cancel any times except from 10am-5:30 pm Monday-Friday, which was never stated to me when I was told I needed to come in person to cancel, and two is conveniently right in the middle of most people’s work day. After it was determined I would most likely not be able to make those hours, I was told if I wish to cancel I need to send a “certified letter detailing why I am cancelling”. I don’t know, but it seems to me they want to make you jump through quite a few hoops to simply cancel a membership and does not seem like proper business practice. My attorney will be in contact tomorrow to question these demands further and see if it is apart of the contractual obligation. This gym isn’t a bad gym, but these sort of shady practices ruin any positive experiences.

Hunter filled at my guest card and I asked to try a session of tanning before I worked out. Hunter told me that tanning and massage chairs were only for paying customers, and that I would not be able to use them. Everyone else that works here seems cool except for this one girl. I don’t know what her name is I guess she’s the boss because she doesn’t wear the uniform but she’s about 5 foot 7 inches with black hair maybe Indian or middle eastern with these big crazy eyes. About 2 months ago she started barking at me every time I entered or exited the gym and at first I just thought maybe she thinks I’m cute or something and will stop once she realizes I’m not interested in her. Today was the 7th time she barked at me and now I’m thinking it’s because this female member told on me for hollering at her so boss lady is like trying to teach me some kind of lesson. Member girl didn’t really diss me the first time I just said “how you doing” and she was like “good” and that was that. The second time I saw her I went up to her and clumsily accidentally knocked over some random piece of workout equipment and it made a really loud noise when it fell so I guess to her it made the situation seem more stressful than it really was. That’s the only reason I can think of as to why she would complain to management after only 2 interactions with me. I’m kind of awkward and don’t have a lot of social IQ but I obviously was not going to approach her a 3rd time since she ran away from me the 2nd time. I don’t know if the girl that works here has some kind of deep seeded vendetta against men but she’s acting crazy. I have a right to try and meet girls until I’m not single anymore, if I tried to talk to her a 3rd time she would’ve had a right to complain. Lay off crazy.

Good gym with a wide variety of options for either and machines. Biggest thing I've seen they can improve on is their trainers (not their ability) but consistently have seen them with clients where they pull out a bunch of free weights and be other equipment in a busy area and when they're finished just walk off and leave it all over the place. If the employees won't even rack the weights how can you expect the members to do any different from what they see. Also, more than two stalls in men's locker room. When we arrived the manager wouldn't accept our free pass because we didn't have a Virginia ID (literally just moved here) told us we could pay for a day pass or sign a membership. I asked, "So you can't even let us work out for one day to try it out?" they said no so we told them to kick rocks. When there is a failure , it often takes weeks before being repaired. The quality of the repair work is often poor.

My daughter" best friend, who is like a daughter, tried to cancel her membership prior to her April payment coming out of her bank account. She was told she had to speak to the manager who works 10-6. It was between 10 & 6 but the manager wasn't there. She was told to come back in an hour. She went back in an hour and he still wasn't there. This continued multiple times through April, May, June, July and into August. She always went during the manager's work hours and the manager was never there. Each month she was charged $20 for a total of $100. She tried three times between August 1 and August 16, each time being told the same thing. The last time, she called and spoke to the manager and he said "I'm here." She showed up two minutes later and was told the manager is not available. I called and spoke with the manager. He was the most arrogant, cocky person I have ever spoken to. I deal with people everyday, all day. If I owned the company and I knew how arrogant he was to the public, I would fire him on the spot. He told me he is there 50 hours per week (or 60 depending on which time he said it) and if she had been coming up there, they would have crossed paths. She basically called her a liar. I don't know if he says how much time he spends incase it is his boss calling or someone that knows the boss, but the man is literally NEVER there, at least EVERY TIME she went up there. He said I am here right now" so I called and told her to turn around to go back to Gold's Gym. We will see where this goes and if he refunds her money.

Edit: Jonathan the Area Manager called me today to rectify the situation. He was very polite & professional. I appreciate him taking the time to even call me. Kudos to him. Hopefully he can train his managers to do the same. Thanks Jonathan! (see original review below)

This gym has the rudest employees. From the General Manager Shepp to his employee Tim. I came into the gym to cancel my membership and the first thing Shepp says when approaching me is "What a great way to start your Monday." I'm like excuse me? He said "Yea you're canceling your membership." I explained to him I don't like the gyms atmosphere & preferred the Y, regardless my Monday will be great. He was very negative & condescending. So fast forward to today, I call the gym to make sure my credit card will not be charged for June because May 28th is my last payment date according to my paperwork. Tim at the front desk kept acting like he couldn't find my cancellation request. Eventually he rudely stated "It's pending cancellation." I asked him what does that mean? Will it be canceled before before June 28th so I won't be billed again? He rudely responded "I don't know what that means. You'll just have to wait & see." No sir, you do not tell ME to wait & see when MY credit card will be charged. I asked to speak back to the young lady who originally answered the phone & she politely assured me I would not be charged because she sees my cancellation paper in the computer. I would never recommend this predatory gym to anybody.

I made the decision to start using a personal trainer 3 weeks ago and I can feel the difference after every workout. Even if the session is only half an hour, I leave feeling like I've accomplished a lot

I travel for work and have worked out at multiple Gold’s and this by far is the worse. The free weight room was very disorganized and the staff at the front desk has horrible attitudes. Won’t be back to this location, will definitely drive extra 15 mins to the Midlothian location.

I went 7 days on a Free pass and joined the 8th day, after 3 days of being a member, I explained to the Manager(Shepp) that I would like to cancel for personal reasons, he replied you only been a member for 2 days then preceded to tell me he’s going to keep his comments to himself, he gave me a paper to signed, snatched it as I was reading it. I got charged for being a member for 3 days and I never got a chance to come. I wouldn’t perfer anyone to this gym the manager is very rude and money hungry.

Free weights are disorganized, machines and benches are never wiped down and to top it off cancelling your membership is way more difficult than it needs to be, they just want more of your money

Good morning!!
I have been a member at planet fitness, I cancelled my membership there. Just because they have the worst customers service ever! And the pizza? What else can I say is the worst! But then I join America fitness, fancy gym but the customer service was worst then planet fitness.
I was at the mall then I saw this young beautiful lady, i believe her name was liz, she approached me, by asking me question about my health, and if I was interested working out? (In my mind I was thinking I really don't want to hear anything about Gyms period) I told her I want to come back to my regular routine, but my experiences with the gyms is not great at all! Long story short, she convinced me to check out Golds GYM, and wow!!!! She made me feel like my second home. Everyone is so friendly, (NO PIZZA!!!) But anyways she gave me a tour, I tried the massages chair, she was really specific about the massages chairs! I looove it!!! GYM is really clean! That's a plus. I'm glad I'm part of Golds Gym family! And most DEFENTLY want to say thank you, to Liz for approaching me at the mall. I recommend to check out Golds GYM, you won't regret it!
