The water park was a blast.
My two and four-year-olds had a good time.
The lifeguards and staff did a great job monitoring the pool it felt like a safe place for the kids to be.
The day we were there they closed the park early at 4:00 for an event and as I tried to exit the park after packing up my kids I was told they could not use the bathroom because it was closed for cleaning...
Maybe wait until your guests have left the water park before closing the bathroom to them or at least allow the 2-year-old little girl that has to go potty to use the bathroom.
I was later told that I could go inside and use the bathroom in the gym as a pool guest if I went through the front door and let them know but the initial response to me asking if my small daughter could use the restroom was just "no, it's closed" it took a supervisor to inform me that the bathroom inside was one but she could use.
Other than that we had a great time it was not overpriced and even though we had to wait in line to get in because they're at capacity it was not overcrowded when we got in and the turnover rate was pretty decent so we didn't have to wait too long.

The pool is excellent for young children to play and learning to swim with an army of life guards performing their duties diligently. It can be crowded, so another facility may be better for laps. I haven't used the other areas of the rec center, but they have a nice gym and cool indoor track.

Good for all ages.
Kiddie pool area for 0-4 older kids can play on it though. Leads into 3ft area and then a small lazy river and then there is a bigger slide across the pool dropping into 3ft. The life guards are moving and watching constantly and it’s very reassuring!

We visited for a birthday party and were not disappointed! The facilities are clean, and we had plenty of space to change, and do what we needed to as a family, which is not easy at some places these days.

my kids were excited to get pool time with it being January, and it wasn’t so crowded that they couldn’t have fun, but it also wasn’t totally empty so they did find people to play with. One of my kids went down the slide more times than I can count and each time , the lifeguard at the top of hi-five! One of the other lifeguards, almost tripped over my youngest(it would’ve been my kiddo's fault for walking into the LG!) but the teen was very apologetic and made sure my kiddo was ok. these are all very little things, but when your team goes the extra mile individually, your staff becomes top-notch.

I wanted to share something that happened yesterday. My boyfriend and myself took all five of our children to go swimming at Green Ridge. Our 6 year old daughters were adamant about going down the water slide. I was nervous because it was a very large water slide, honestly the largest one they have ever asked to get on. Both girls have autism and when they are excited it can be very difficult to keep them calm while waiting their turn. And also listen for directions like waiting for their turn to go. I told them to go ahead and go ride the slide and I would wait at the bottom of the slide, so they knew when they came down where they needed to go to get out of the pool to the stairs. Both girls climbed up the stairs and came down, and begged to go again. After a couple times my boyfriend said to me "have you watched the lifeguard that is up there telling the girls when to go?" There is a life guard that watches to make sure whoever is going down gets out of the pool safely before sending another rider down. I hadn't watched him so the next time the girls went up there I made a point to watch. Without being told anything about the girls he must have realized they may need a little extra help knowing when to go. He would sit there with a smile on his face talking to both girls. As it was almost each girls turn to go he would hold up 10 fingers and one by one put a finger down counting the girls down. And the girls would turn around and watch him count and watch each finger go down to know when it was their time to go down the slide. After each turn the girls went down the slide when they got back up there he would give them a high five and tell them "good job!". After Watching this a few times Kevin went up the stairs to where the life guard was standing, and thanked him for being so kind to the girls. He explained that both girls have autism and sometimes it's hard for them to follow direction. He told him it wasn't a problem at all, and told him that they were doing a great job. I take the girls alot of places and sometimes places are inclusive, and other places not so much. To see a person go out of their way to make sure the girls don't get treated any differently, and get to have the same experience as every other child meant the world to us. This man should be recognized for his willingness to pay attention and understand they needed a little extra help knowing when to go down the slide, and without hesitation did so. I asked the head life guard this man's name and its Jodah. So Jodah you may see this one day, and if so I want you to know that yesterday may have been just another day at work for you but to me and my family you gave us a experience we will always remember. Thank you sir for your kindness, and treating each swimmer with the upmost respect.

Multiple Basketball goals to shoot on, but everyone comes here to hoop, so you always have to wait for a game to get next.
Nice upstairs section to workout and lift, plus there's a track you can walk around on or jog on. They also have a water park and indoor swim area which is pretty nice, major spot to hit up during like spring, and summer

Facility is great, but their sign-in policy requiring a guest who wishes to get a day swim pass to show a driver’s license (which they enter number into computer), take a photo for their system, and require completion of a waiver with personal information is an invasion of privacy, is a concern for identity theft, and is unnecessary. I have never had to do this for a guest day pass at any other recreation facility.

I haven't even been there in person yet and want to complain. We are from out of town looking to come visit a step daughter that lives in area. Why would you charge more for folks that are not in your area? You'd think you'd want to welcome people there to come stay. We can't count her residency because no drivers license plus we have a 2.5 hr drive home to make a day of it and are punished to go to the outdoor water park later although we can't stay as long as residents who live close! Not welcoming to your area or facility at all! I hope it's worth it.

I love the gym and the pools, nice and friendly staff too! The only thing that bothers me is the wonky pool hours, I get it might be a staffing issue but even during the summer the indoor pool is closed from 11-4 on weekdays which is arguably the busiest time for pools usually, I wish they would at least make the indoor swim hours more noticeable on their website/google info, I and other families have fallen for this misconception many times!
Update: I’ve been going here for almost a year now and it’s the best gym in the area hands down, I’ve tried golds and crunch and they don’t come close, I love the friendly atmosphere, they also replace cracked pads/ seats really fast and I see employees cleaning equipment very frequently!! I will never work out elsewhere. It’s definitely the cleanest and friendliest gym I’ve ever been to, worth the money!! And no annual commitment? Sign me up!!

This rec centers hours are horrible compared to other places nearby. Who closes at 5 pm on weekends? And 7 pm on Friday? Weirdest thing ever. Especially for the gym area. The salem rec center is open later. This gyms equipment is also super old and outdated. They really need to do some major upgrades. I’d recommend looking at other gyms. If there’s something here you really wanna do which I doubt it as salem has more, buy a day pass. It’s too expensive for what you get to commit.

Green ridge is nice and pleasant for the most part. Staff are normally friendly and there are plenty of equipment to use for everyone. There will be times when it’s packed but it’s rare.
Pool is nice and clean but could be a little more lit. Also it’s hit and miss with the temperature of the water. Some days it’s warm while others is cold.
I gave it a 4 star because their child watch needs more hours like during the morning. It’s limited to the evenings and kinda quiet in there. I think the could be some kid friendly music to break the sound of silence.

We enjoyed the party space for our Soccer Banquet. Bonus - there was a kitchen area in the room we got to use. Made things much more convenient. Very clean!

I just renewed my membership from a couple years ago due to the same conditions. I have been coming for the 3rd week now and everytime I come to workout there is always an issue. There is excersize equipment that has been shut down waiting on parts. In this case a cable. It is a highly used piece of equipment and it has been down since August 19th! Here is a suggestion. Don't down equipment until you have the part in hand. Today the hot tub is down. Another problem. Can't understand why. Just a couple weeks ago the entire pool was shut down, for weeks, for maintenance. I was instructed to take a hot shower instead. The first shower stall I found the handle broken and laying in the floor. I went to the next one and the entire soap despenser was laying on the floor.
The pool hours are horrible. It seems the members, that pay, come 2nd to private training.
Can someone please tell me why you keep taking members money, when your not providing what you advertise. I will be looking into other gyms and inquiring about their memberships.
Here is a hint from a business owner. You always take care of who pays the bills and keep your gym up to, at least, satisfactory standards.

The indoor pool hours are terrible, and adding to the issue, the water system is connected to the outdoor pool, so the indoor pool also closes for thunderstorms anywhere in the area. The indoor splash pad is only open for 2 hours and 45 minutes a day on average. (Doesn’t open at all on Wednesdays.) Not at all worth the price paid for a family membership if you want to be able to use this feature regularly. Child care hours are also extremely limited. The Y is a much better value for the price.

Great water park! I personally witnessed a life guard having to help someone having difficulties after coming off the water slide. He was prompt, didn't hesitate and was on point. Being in the medical field I was impressed with his skills. I mentioned it to the person that came over to write the report. I hope this young man was recognized. I know he was doing his job but he is honestly a great asset. I can't recall his name, 😢

I am giving it a 2 for the 2 amazing instructors they have there. Bridget and Lori (they each deserve 5 stars). I could not make it work there, they refuse to add hours to their childcare.
Their available time slots are ONLY, Mon-Thurs, 4-7pm. Ridiculous if you want to do any classes. But ask the staff and they say upper management brings their kids whenever they want. Glad they have the luxury.

Great club but I'm frustrated with the etiquette of the front desk staff who are constantly on their phones. Today I was standing at the end of the desk for a solid 5 min while one of the front desk workers just sat there watching her coworker work and watching TV on her phone. I had to go so far as to speak up to ask for a basketball, which got me an attitude "all out!"... Where's the manners or training?
