Humble Haven Yoga is truly amazing. The classes are consistently challenging in the best way, and the teachers are so knowledgeable and attentive. I’ve been going since it opened, and it’s been such a positive part of my life. I always leave feeling stronger, more centered, and grateful for this studio. Highly recommend!

Humble Haven yoga is truly a gem of a studio. I started off using classpass but became a full time member.

This past week, I cried (twice!) during shavasana (end of where you rest). These classes have brought me such an emotional and physical release, to where I was LITERALLY crying tears of joy and releasing my personal stress/tension all at the same time. Humble Haven been such a healing space for me. I’m so thankful for the spirit and kind instructors and members of this studio.

I typically do hot power yoga or the yoga build classes. They are challenging and cleansing in their own way! 12/10 recommend.

I've been going here for about a year and a half, and I love this place.

I'm very big into fitness, and I've been a pretty serious lifter of heavy circles for several years, and I had been noticing that as my strength increased, my lower body muscles were losing all flexibility to the point of discomfort and the occasional spasm.

So I decided to try yoga as a way to supplement and counterbalance the lifting. I came in as essentially a beginner, and I really appreciated how the instructors pay attention to the ability of each person in the class without singling anyone out. There are a variety of assistance options that are at the instructor's discretion, and they do everything in their power to make sure each student feels comfortable and welcome.

There's a pretty diverse group of people that come in of all body types and abilities, and I've only ever seen everyone be treated with the same amount of respect and consideration. I'm certainly not anyone's idea of a typical American yoga enthusiast, and I've always felt like I belonged here.

My mainstays are the hamstrings, hips, and spine class and I do a weekly hot power class. I love both of them and I really enjoy the instructors I've had. They've been the main reason that I keep coming back to HH.

Oh, the management is really responsive too. One time I had a small concern about something that happened in a class (not really a complaint), and I emailed the studio to let them know about it, and they responded very quickly and courteously and the (very minor) issue has never happened again.

If you're at all curious about yoga, I can't recommend this place enough. I was really apprehensive about starting something new, but everyone at HH immediately put me at ease, and now I'm able to continue lifting more and heavier without my hips and hamstrings catching. Wins all around!

Stumbled upon Humble Haven after living in Richmond for many years. Cyn is a phenomenal instructor. Her class is so well done in every way from the music to her calming voice and cues as well as the relaxation and soulful element. She has a gift.

Went with a friend to try out a hot yoga class for my first time ever a couple of months ago. Let’s just say I fell in love with the instructors, classes, and flexible schedule. I’ve been going to Humble Haven for three months now and I can see so much a difference in my mental and physical health. They truly have something for everyone and I give it a 10 out of 10

I really enjoy their hot power and yoga build classes. Camille kicks butt when she instructs which makes the workout worth it. I enjoy Rachel Berry's classes; also, Cyn, who i feel is more of a traditional instructor. The only hiccup is I wish the room was bigger, which is why I like yoga build (less people). Hot power is NOT beginner friendly; I would try their warm classes first. Compared to other studios I've been to, this is definitely more of a modern yoga studio versus traditional. I do wish they offered a hot yoga practice with principal postures (only warm hatha is offered) instead of only hot vinyasa. Members come in and chat in the studio, but offering at least one class where it's more of a quiet, traditional practice would make me love it more.

Beautiful studio! I have attended the warm hips + hamstrings class, and it has been gentle and healing for my chronic hip and back pain issues. Cynthia was a gem and had very calming energy. The space is very clean and inviting!

I attended Hot Power w/ Music on Wed, June 5th at 3pm. I was greeted by nice staff, signed a paper in regards to safety. Unfortunately as an amateur, my body gave up on me and I overheated, couldn’t stick around for the second part of class (I lasted about 25 minutes of the 50/60 minutes). I silently walked out, thanking the lovely teacher, Morgan, on my way out. I cleaned my mat and blocks, only to attempt to thank the front desk, but she was on the phone with a friend it appeared. Not even an hour later I was charged 12$ for a missed class. I reserved the class on Classpass, and I’m unable to leave a review due to the nature of a “missed class”. Zero explanation as to this occurrence so I’m not coming back.

Humble Haven is my go-to place in Richmond, Va! I have enjoyed all of the classes I’ve attended from Hot Power to their Hips, Back, and Spines class. The parking lot has ample spaces, the facility is exceptionally pristine, and they have plenty of equipment to fully support your practice. The cool lavender towel at the end is a great touch at the end that I throughly look forward to! Thank you, HH for supporting our local community and creating an exceptional experience for all members! ❤️

Beware. There’s a lack of consent when touching students in class.

I recently had a horrible experience while taking MacKenzie Cherry’s Pilates class.

I didn’t feel comfortable or welcomed in her class. She performed a hands-on adjustment during a pose while I was holding a dumbbell, and as she adjusted my pose, the weight fell to the floor and almost hit my leg/foot, which could’ve caused an injury.

Towards the end of the class, everyone was on our backs, and I had my eyes closed in a relaxed position. I was completely caught off guard when MacKenzie did a shoulder press on me.

MacKenzie didn’t notify the class that she was going to do a shoulder press on everyone. She didn’t have my consent to touch me while I was relaxing on my yoga mat. She pressed very hardly on my chest, which hurt, and caused pain and discomfort during it happened and even after class ended.

Lack of consent from instructors is unacceptable.

Can’t gush enough about how incredible this studio is! If you’re on the fence about trying hot yoga/yoga for the first time I urge you to consider committing to showing up for yourself without judgement to a couple weeks worth of classes!

This practice has changed my life for the better in so many ways-sleep is improved, longtime muscle injury pain is lessened or gone, more energy daily, and my mindset is so much calmer and more positive!

The students and staff are from diverse backgrounds which is something that I see as a green flag in a yoga studio as I’ve been to many that felt too homogeneous and clicky in the past.

The instructors offered diverse classes and workshops for every proficiency level without judgement or pressure. Hands on adjustments are optional but you can still count on adjustments to postures built in to the class that give you options for customization and either challenge you to push yourself further or challenge you to relax a bit (if that’s what your body needs that day).

The facility is always clean and well stocked with various supplies and props. The cold lavender towels at the end of the hot classes are divine.

And all of the staff have been incredibly welcoming, knowledgeable and supportive for a newbie like myself. Special shoutout to Rachel for challenging and encouraging me to show up for myself without excuses or judgement. I wanted to give up and you said exactly the right thing that I needed to hear. 🙏🏽

It has been a revelation to have a consistent practice for me both physically and spiritually. My only tip is to arrive a bit earlier to get a spot in the rooms than you think you need to! Certain classes can get crowded when they are full.

I’m new to yoga and tried out three hot yoga studios in RVA/Midlothian area. This is the best of all three. The heat is just optimal to make you sweat profusely without making you feel miserable. I take their 6 am Hot Power class which has the perfect balance of semi-challenging postures in a moderate pace to stretch your muscles and sculpt your body, with good vibes.

Humble Haven is awesome! You get a cool lavender towel at the end of class, they let you cancel with no charge until right before class starts, the facilities are clean, they have a lot of nice touches like offering (the good kind of) hair ties in case you left home without yours. They also have programs in place to bridge financial gaps so everyone has access to yoga. It’s great to go to a studio that recognizes and cares. Lastly, the instructors, staff, and owner are amazing! Always so kind and accommodating.

Welcoming, warm, and wonderful. I was so nervous because I didn't know what I was getting myself into, and I've spent the last few months seriously enjoying my lessons at Humble Haven. The instructors are incredible individuals who know their stuff, and you get this cool lavender towel at the end of every practice that's the perfect cherry-on-top. You're not going to find a better yoga studio in Richmond, and certainly not for this price!! If you're not sure which class to start at, go for a Power Down or a Warm Hamstrings, Hips, & Spines. They're good for beginners, but if you're an advanced yogi, you have all kinds of options to get even more out of the class.

Awesome customer service! Unfortunately, I moved out of state so I can't do the real classes anymore, but they helped me get set up with on demand classes which are convenient. I especially enjoy hamstrings, hips, and spines with Laura Jo! I noticed my body feels a lot better if I keep up with the classes at least weekly.
