About the Club

As a young boxer, Jay was rendered handicapped due to a severe stroke he suffered in October of 1993 when he was just 17 years old. Jay started self- rehabilitation in 2006. By this time, he had gained 80 lbs. This was tough but he was determined to overcome his disabilities and the excess weight. In the process, he fell in love with fitness and quickly realized that he had the ability to motivate others in his quest for fitness. Jay became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2012 through NASM.

His mission is to serve as an ambassador for health and wellness using a holistic approach that includes the proper technique, motivation and training to succeed with optimal results.

I highly recommend Jay for technical boxing training. He has all the right equipment and knows how to apply to whatever skill level you are at. I specifically wanted to improve in one area and Jay has helped me reach my goals specifically and then some I’ve done group training and one on one training. Been training with Jay for almost three years. Had tried other gyms and trainers before, but it never stuck. He adapts the workouts to your ability, but doesn’t take it easy on you. You know that you worked out when you get up the next day. Pushes you to your limit, switches things up and works around the those old injuries that us Gen-Xers tend to have. I’m in better shape now than I was twenty years ago.

I have been training with Jay for 3 years. I attend the 5am class. The workouts are challenging but fun. Jay definitely encourages you to give it all that you have and will not let you give up or quit because to him you are cheating yourself.
