I have been with Jim White fitness since they opened their doors in Virginia Beach / Marina Shores. I have utilized both services Nutrition and personal training through them, and here’s what I have to say. My life is better for making them apart of my journey. The trainers I have used have been amazing, not only focusing on the physical aspect of transformation but also the mental. Shout out to Kam, Jeremy, Carter, Eric, and Jim himself. I have grown with these people, Eric (one of my trainers) officiated my wedding. Kam (another trainer) helped me meet spiritual goals and would even meet me at church. Jim the man, the myth, the legend still checks on me, and has been a huge support in my recovery. Of course I had to save the best for last my dietician Sara Cully I owe my life, I do not say that lightly. Since 12 years old I have gone through an eating disorder, each relapse getting worse. When Sara became my dietician I started taking recovery seriously. I checked myself into inpatient treatment and when I was released I continued my work at home. Sara doesn’t talk to me like a diagnosis she has a conversation with me and treats me like a friend and a human being. 3.5 years later and I have stayed healthy no drop in weight, I’ve gotten my cycle back after 17 years without it, I am no longer seeing a ton of doctors, no longer struggling with kidney issues, and my anxiety has massively gone down where I no longer need medication. I would give a million stars if I could to this amazing team. So to anyone looking to change your life for the better call because it’s too short to waste not enjoying it and feeling confident.

I met with a nutritionist at the Norfolk location and she was very unhelpful and I got the feeling she didn’t want to help me, we always met in Norfolk but the last appointment, which was like my 2nd maybe 3rd appointment, she scheduled it in VA Beach without me knowing and when I showed up in Norfolk and couldn’t make it to VA Beach, she charged me for the visit and listed me as a no show. Very manipulative, be careful!

I've used JWFNS for nutritional counseling for about a year now. I'm so happy to be working with Kiley to fine tune my diet to meet my goals. She is very kind, knowledgeable, and offers great advice for food choices, alternate recipes, and tips to stay on track. I have really enjoyed my experience with Jim White Fitness. I started meeting with one of their Dietitians Alyson for medical nutrition therapy after I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. Alyson has given me so much knowledge on how my body processes food, and goes into with a no food is bad food mentality. I have so much more energy, and feel overall more healthy as a result of Jim White Fitness. I cannot recommend them enough. After being away from working out for over a year, I decided it was time to really start again so I called Jim White Fitness & Nutrition to learn about their studio and trainers. I left a voicemail and promptly received a return call from a very friendly and helpful staff member. I explained what I was hoping to achieve, and that I also needed to be cautious along the way because of a previous back injury. I felt like I was heard on that call because my first day there with my trainer Taylor, she not only built a great work out for someone like me basically starting fresh, she was also very considerate when it came to my back. Taylor plans workouts that are challenging and different every time. She’s so smart, motivating and considerate. I appreciate that she explains each exercise and how it’s impacting specific muscle groups, and that she demonstrates proper form for anything I’m doing which is so helpful for preventing injuries. I feel great and am starting to see a difference after 10 sessions. The studio has modern equipment and is very clean and well sanitized after each interaction with any piece of equipment. I highly recommend this studio no matter where you fall on the spectrum of fitness. Great place and people!

My personal trainer is so lovely and makes me feel like I'm really accomplishing something. Was my first time at this location Monday. Easy to get in and out of the shopping center. It is a tad unique how they occupy the corner unit and you can enter from either side. As always the studio is compact but well designed and functions well. I got to see a nutritionist so I have never utilized the gym center but the staff is friendly bathrooms are clean.

I have done both personal training and the fitness boot camp at Jim White Fitness. They are AMAZING. Educated, passionate, and motivating. In one month of the boot camp classes, I have lost 1 inch in my waist and 4lbs. I am now enjoying my second month of boot camp and am feeling stronger each and every day. I make it a point to exercise at least 6 days a week and I owe most of my motivation to the energetic trainers who are extremely helpful and encouraging. Jim White Fitness is THE WAY TO GO!

After 2 months of Jim White Fitness Boot Camp, I can say I have honestly seen results! I had been exercising, but had hit a plateau. The nutrition workshop really helped me take my workouts to the next level by detailing pre workout nutrition and demonstrating correct portion sizes. I even learned about some foods that appeared to be healthy, but were sabotaging my weight loss. I love Jim White Fitness! The facilities are great, the staff knowledgeable and professional--what more could you ask for? I worked personally with Jim on my nutrition. He customized a diet to my personal eating habits--a diet I could stick with even during busy times at work and travel! I also worked with one of the Jim White Fitness trainers, Charlie. Charlie tailored our weekly workouts to include exercises that I found challenging, yet fun, and that would ultimately help me reach my personal fitness goals!
