Since 1973 JKAS has been the premiere, award winning school in Henrico and Richmond, Virginia for the instruction of Shotokan Karate and Iaido.
We also provide classes for aerobic conditioning, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and self defense.

I studied here when I was 12-15, I did karate and kickboxing for a while. Since day one I have been welcomed by sensei Sam by the kindest way. And the way he taught me I shall never forget till this day I have so much love for martial art because of his way of teaching. He is a teacher for life🫶🏾 thank you for all the memories and knowledge!
