This company is an actual SCAM. I had a membership at XSport for the sole reason of it being open 24 hours. LAFitness bought XSport and they closed my gym location. They said they had other 24 hour gyms in the area and they would transfer my membership while they did renovations on my location at Noblewood plaza. They also told me that Noblewood plaza would reopen and be 24 hours.

THIS WAS ALL A LIE. They are NOT reopening my gym, and now all other LAFitness locations are no longer 24 hours. They charged me $35 to pause my membership for 6 months while my location was renovated and now they aren’t even reopening that location. They refuse to cancel my membership, and they refuse to refund me the $35. They refuse to refund anything. I signed a contract with XSport for the 24 hour gym, and LAFitness won’t cancel or refund ANYTHING now that they bought that company.

I’m a night shift worker and normal gym hours don’t work for me. So now I’m out money because I paid for a 2 year membership with XSport. This company is absolutely unreasonable. I refuse to step foot in a LAFitness.

Since LA Fitness took over, the gym hours have been reduced, forcing everyone to crowd in at the same time. The cleaning stations often lack paper towels and sanitizer, there are no janitors around, and many machines are missing pins, making them unusable. To add to this, there are broken benches in the men’s locker room. Despite these issues, I received an email today saying that prices are going up.

The gym is big and has a lot of machines but it really isn't worth it. The gym is dirty smells bad, the machines are broken, the lockers rooms and bathrooms are dirty and the staff is not friendly at all. The gym doesn't put disinfectant or paper to clean the machines after exercising, everything is dirty.

It’s one thing that for weeks they couldn’t keep up with stocking their cleaning supplies for us to sanitize the machines we use but now they aren’t 24/7. I think that’s a big reason why people have been cancelling their memberships recently. The community isn’t what it was a year ago.

I had my membership for a month and I already want to cancel it. The reviews aren't lying, and I wish that I had read them before purchasing my membership. Most of the machines do not work/ are outdated, the pins from the weight machines are always missing which makes no sense (who would steal them/ take them out?), no employee in sight, you could literally walk in with no gym card and no one will notice, no AC or fans (I pass out easily so it's disappointing how hot it always is). I purchased a membership for this gym because it was open for 24 hours, they changed the hours of operation a week into having my membership. Overall this gym is possibly the worst gym I've ever been to in my 26 years of life.

Unsanitary issues- constantly running out of sanitary equipment. At least once a week they run out of sanitary equipment (paper towels and soap) to sanitize equipment. After bringing it up to staff they ignore it and say they are out of items. Poor management of a serious Health issue!!!!

Safety issues; rules are not to have bags in workout area. Management do. It enforce their own standards. I almost had a serious accident (tripping) due to this, management ignore issue and still do not enforce rules. This tripping hazard has gone ignored.

No respect by other customers; it seems that working out is their highlight of the day, they go out there to socialize, they are loud and have no respect for others. They high equipment for 20-30 min.

Go somewhere else, it’s not worth it.

Time to file a complaint with the BBB. Main workout area is still too hot, AC unit is still broken and they don't care. Just bought out by new co. and it's still a rip off. I don't work out enough for a better gym, but here is a 10 month update. Machines are in the worst shape yet. See pictures. It becomes a bring your own pin to use machines as many are missing the weights pin. Also watch out for rods that will hurt due to missing parts and lose hardware.

There are so many broken machines. Weight machines missing pins, attachments, worn out. There are so many treadmills and step machines. Most of them are broken. They used to have stickers with the machine number so you could let them know about issues. Not anymore. I literally get my work out climbing on machines and getting off them until I find one that works. 100% don't recommend. The place is falling apart. Let's not even talk about the lack of bathroom/lockers cleanliness so that this review can stay short. They used to be the best, but the upkeep left the building long ago. Today, I climbed all these machines to find out only one on duty today. All the others broke. That's after climbing on 4 broken treadmills. They don't even put broken signs on them anymore.

Xport Woodbridge is getting nasty place! Most cardio machines are out of service, no towels, all equipments are dirty including the locker room and bathroom.

Second thing expecting from Xport management to update policy because my big concern is I’ve noticed a lot of people come to gym for not doing workout and stay for several hours to make party specially ladies in night time. At least they should put back the equipments so other people can use it.

I personally come to gym for 1.5 hours and I can’t get chance to use some portable equipments like dumbbell etc because some ignorant seized the equipments and wasting their time rather doing honest work out. It’s very disappointing other rude people not following the rules and I’m sure xport staffs are authorized to expel moron people from their premises but they don’t want to make this happen.

Machines don’t work, the amenities they “have” are not available at this location or not working. Paid to have a trainer and 90% of the time it was work outs on the main floor due to no available machines or free weights. Trainer was great and worked with what was available but for the cost we paid it should have been better. We were not able to work out with the trainer in the private room that has newer equipment and free weights. We were charged a week prior our monthly fee for the month and after being disappointed with the multiple broken machines we cancelled that day BUT were told we could not finish the month and I asked why if we were just charged for the month! Was told to call Corp and no one answers ! Don’t sign up if you also want to be disappointed.

The workers in this facility are incredibly rude. They do not care for you wellbeing they just want to harass you to buy their items, very unprofessional on their end. I would like to say so far my experience has not been good with Xsport fitness

This gym really sucks. 1) Several machines are out of service for several weeks now and there is no maintenance scheduled for them and no one even cares. 2) On the weekends there is no housekeeping service and you can’t even find towel paper and disinfectant liquid all over the gym. 3) The locker room is dirty and smells disgusting especially during the whole weekend. 4) They keep registering people while the place can barely accommodate them 5) you have to wait for a dumbbell for long time and there aren’t enough plates in the gym when people are doing legs or chest. 6) The front door is broken for almost 6 months now and it can be very risky for those who are not aware of it. There are many other problems like Sauna is not in service multiple times a month. The air conditioning is not working and they only have ceiling fans that isn’t sufficient…… I can list more issues but for now I post few sample photos of the issues that are taken by me on the same day…..

First of all, trash cans are always full, nobody is there to empty them, and trash is flying all over the gym.

Weights are scattered everywhere, and there is no management.

The gym has four showers, but only one is working, and it doesn’t have any hot water. I could say there are no showers because most of the time there is no hot water or no water at all.”

I have been a member of this gym since 2016, and I have noticed in the last year or so that the gym is not as well managed as it was in the past. They do have lots of equipment to choose from. Exercise classes are good, and most are well taught. Locker rooms have constantly been nasty and not kept clean for the amount of traffic they get, especially the shower areas. Maintenance of the facility has drastically been overlooked in the past year, with lighting being out in the fitness room, broken fixtures in the locker rooms, and inconsistent climate control.

Purchase a 2 years contract with them for $349 dollars and not even a month in to attending there one of the employees name Carlos tried to steal my beets headset that I forgot in the treadmill, someone turn into the lost and found and he took it from there stating that he borrowed them from there, and when I tried calling asking if they found it for around 4 days in a row they said the nothing was there until I when to the gym and tried to pair it with my phone I found out the Carlos change the name from my to his name and that’s how I found out it was a employee the belong to XSPORT the had it and other workers when to take it from him at the end I got my beets back but I am trying to get a refund since from the day I no longer feel comfortable attending there because of the issue I had so I hope someone can do something about it since I contacted the customer service and the only thing they want to do is put a report with HR

Where to even begin, I’ve been comming here for almost a year and a half now.
And all this applies to only this x sport because the other ones I’ve visited are well more maintained.
The maintenance of the machine ill admit has gotten better to ensure the equipment’s working at the least, but doesn’t not defeat the fact that the cleanliness still lacks, mostly in the locker room, and especially above all the sauna. The minute you walk into the sauna the reek of sweat and nastiness hits your face. The seats remain broken still, the floor remains grimy and disgusting and has still not yet been cleaned or barely cleaned at all. The sowers leak 24/7, and are never cleaned so don’t even think about stepping into the shower.
May think about getting a membership elsewhere, as soon as my membership comes to a end to ease my peace of mind.
I wish this gym was as clean and well maintained as it was when I first joined. Good luck x sport in Woodbridge.

I agree with the majority of negative comments. They recently increased the monthly membership price and have a very large number of members... I don't see why they can't repair the broken equipment faster, provide paper towels / cleaning solution (they run out all the time), and at least have custodial staff clean the bathrooms at different points of the day. I gave the gym 3 stars instead of 1 only because it's 24/7 and is fairly spacious (it could be expanded given the gym can get extremely full). I hope to see them make positive changes.

Update: I've been a member here on and off since the beginning and the fact that they're closed on holidays now is extremely disappointing. They always had a skeleton crew to keep the place open on all holidays so it was truly 24/7 365. I hope they go back to the true always open 24/7 schedule they had in the past to accommodate the flexibility a lot of us need.

If I could give less stars, I would. We joined Xsport before the location even opened. Initially, the gym was clean and machines were great. It has gone downhill over the last 2 years. Several machines are broken, and despite reporting to staff, they still aren't fixed. I used to see the cleaning staff daily but never see them anymore. As of today, several parts of the benches in the sauna are broken, multiple machines broken, missing pins, and clips. We come here for convenience, but I do not recommend to others.

Absolutely the worst customer service a gym can offer . I cancelled my gym membership 3 months ago . I was told my last day would be on June 28th . I paid the cancellation fee and my last month . June 29th comes around and I get charged for the upcoming month . I have to make another trip to the gym and nothing gets fixed . the gym staff told me that this time it has actually been canceled . I requested to get my CC info removed so it would not happen again . they assured me that it was canceled this time . October 1st comes around and I get charged AGAIN for the upcoming month . Since the staff and customer service is incompetent and completely useless .Now the only option that I have is to cancel my CC .

1. Lots of hidden charges. I signed up online and paid $59 Membership fee. The next month I was charged $70 for registration fee. They said the one is registration fee and one is membership fee.

2. The contract I had beginning of the year which they advertised was $59 membership fee and 9.95 a month. By July they have started charging me 12.95. I reported and they told me to call cooperate, cooperate will never pick your call. And if you want to cancel, you get none of your money back.

3. Also they will never pick your call. But they are quick to call you when they want you to sign up.

4. They charge so much for outdated and faulty equipment. Half of equipment is out of order and it won’t ever get fixed. Spray bottles are always empty

Find yourself a better gym. They will make you regret choosing them.

I don't know how this place got an A+ through the Better Business Bureau because it's awful. They allow a bunch of rifraff with the worst gym etiquette I've ever seen to exercise here. People don't put their equipment away after their done using it. People like this tanned Asian guy with a white t-shirt, white hat and black gym hats (you know who you are) hog dumbbells for a half an hour and won't let other people use them. A group of kids hanging around equipment but not using it. Kicking around exercise balls like they're soccer balls inside the gym. And the Staff doesn't do anything about it.

If something is not done, I will personally file a complaint with the better business bureau to see if that A+ rating can be taken away because they don't deserve it.

Overall it is okay gym but my membership comes with bringing one gust with me and one day I went with my gust and they told me I can’t bring guests during certain time, which is unreasonable and find it aggressive new member requirements method. The other thing I hate is the showers it is very hot or very cold sometimes i have to run from one room to the other to find the right temperature which is not pleasant.

No point going to the sauna cause it’s already super hot. They’re on fire watch.
People don’t re rack weights.

Customer service especially on the phones are terrible.
Raised prices as well.
Most recently the ceiling started leaking and some cardio machines are broken.
Trash cans are not emptied regularly and a huge pile of paper towels go over the lid.

This place is a rip off do not waste your time or money. They have no professionalism what so ever. I signed up for personal training that they talked me into. The trainer Christion canceled before the session began and never return phone calls or text messages to reschedule. I asked for a full refund it’s been months of talking to Mario the Gym manager and customer service placing complaints on line and they have not refunded my money. They keep attempting to draft money out of my account although I have provided proof that I no longer live in the state of Virginia so basically I guess they stole the money and I have to cancel my card and get a new one. It’s ok because word of mouth travels fast I will tell everyone not to deal with these people and honestly looking at it now they don’t have allot of members right now. I went today with the free membership for a week, my honest opinion:
Instead of trying to sign up new members you guys should worry about what’s going on in the gym, nobody re-racks their weights, i saw people with 3 pairs of dumbbells, nobody wipes equipment down after using it, i believe the place was over capacity, you couldn’t find a single chest machine-bench to use, that’s only after being there 5 minutes, stop trying to sign up new members and focus on the customer service and cleanliness. We’ll be checking out the Alexandria location soon.

1. Majority of their staff are so mean.
2. Without any notice they increase my monthly payment, When asking for the reason they are saying We don’t know why it’s increasing.
3. The equipments are very old and they are not maintaining them appropriately.

Joined with a multi-year special and had membership placed on hold multiple times due to illness/injury as allowed per membership agreement. My membership points first were redeemed automatically and was told no recourse of action from this. When I would contact customer service to re-activate membership they told me it was okay and it was valid until mid-2023 but then when I would show up I was told that my membership expired. I had contacted customer service multiple times and was assured each time that my membership was active and was valid until mid-2023 yet every single time gym staff (including manager) would tell me that membership expired. Horrible experience all around. Equipment is aging and quality of gym and services decreased from when I joined until I stopped showing up. Even though my XSport membership is still active, I went ahead and joined Planet Fitness (off of Hoadly near Harris Teeter) and I have never been happier with a gym and the services that I am paying for. I will never recommend XSport to my family and friends.

Had to cancel my membership because the staff here prioritizes money over your convenience. The managers always push to sell me packages and upgrade me to the next best thing AFTER ignoring what I've disclosed what my fitness needs and goals are. They don't care what your goals are they're just reading a script and being salesmen.

Plus if you're a big person like myself you'll be stalked by trainers who interrupt you mid workout flashing fake charming smiles so they can "help you reach your fitness goals." I get that they want commission, but can I just train in peace? Not every overweight person is a beginner or clueless.

That behavior made me very uncomfortable interacting with the managers and staff when I needed something. When I had a question they never knew the answer (esp about fees and contracts), they tell me to take it up with "corporate."

I wasn't told that when you get a membership you only get it to one location and that if you wanted to use an X-sports I'm another city your monthly dues would be more than $40 a month!

Forget all that, I'm following the Hybrid Calisthenics guy and working out from home.

This gym does not honor their 7 day guest pass. My BF and I were turned away due to not have a Virginia ID. We are both military therefore we have DL from different states. This requirement is nowhere on their website and we do reside within 25 miles of this gym. The gentleman at the reception was very un-accommodating and said it was a local management policy. Instead he pushed for us to get a membership- no thanks!

A good, solid gym that is open 24/7. A few of the weight machines are aged, but the free weights, universal and treadmill/cycling machines and areas are just fine.

The showers/locker room is good too.

Mario is the owner and a good sort. He a participation owner and you'll see him occasionally on the gym floor engaging with the customers. When joining up, ask for Pablo. He helped me out an awful lot.

Arabic manager lied bout the 2 year membership and I didn't find out till later that it was all fake advertising just to convince ppl to sign up. Worse gym in Woodbridge hands down. Very disappointed and wish I can cancel but they will not pay you refund no matter what.

Just when I thought this place couldn’t get worse from people not cleaning up after themselves, machines being out of order for over 2 weeks, employees who look like they don’t want to be there and are on their phone, they decided to enforce a rule that you can’t bring a guest after 9pm and I was told “this rule has always been enforced” I’ve been coming here for about 2 years now and I’ve always brought guests from 10pm to 1am to 4 am and all in-between, a big genuine finger to the owner of this place and not making the priorities of this place #1 but instead scamming their guests with ridiculous rules

Back to 24 hours !
Needs work on cleaning up weights and paper towels on the floors. The machines need a maintenance schedule. Many frayed cables. Decline bench ( mobile one ) is in poor shape. Screw at bottom of bench constantly becomes loose creating an unstable platform.
Music is Ok, but big difference in sound between the front in rear of gym.
Attendants are helpful when asked questions.
Cardio equip repair is getting better, but the length of time for repairs is long.
The green carpet has a widening dip in it, one wrong step could cause an ankle sprain.
Like the but open space created there.
Deadlifting on carpet, anyway to improve that? Platform maybe?
Thank you for the improved back row machine. Anyway to upgrade preacher bench, that curve in bench stops bench from being used for Spider-Man curls or reversed sit-ups.
Gotta think outside the box.
Improvements are getting better, staff is getting better.

I hope there was a 0 ⭐️ rating. This gym really sucks!!! Yesterday more than 7 machines were out of order, several machines didn’t have pin 📍and hooks 🪝. There’s no Maintenance here at all. Sauna is closed for months now. The only thing they care about is getting new members and those new members cancel the membership as soon as they have another option. Do not sign up for a membership at this gym. They will do everything they can to con you out of your money. They refuse to cancel my membership despite multiple attempts to do so.

About a month ago I called the gym to cancel my membership, and was told by Mario that I need to go to the gym in person to do so. I drive to the gym and I'm assisted by an employee who tells me that my membership has been cancelled and that I will get a confirmation email.

A few days passed, and I hadn't received an email, so I called the gym and spoke to a receptionist who is miraculously now able to perform the cancellation process without my physical presence. But this time, I'm told that I need to pay a $10 cancellation fee in order to cancel my membership. This is outrageous, and should be illegal, but I hold my nose and pay the fee, hoping to just put this mess behind me as quickly as possible. She assures me that my membership has been cancelled, but as I discovered later, this wasn't actually the case. XSport fraudulently charged me a cancellation fee without cancelling my membership.

A month later I received an email from XSport telling me that my membership is still active and that I have an outstanding balance equivalent to one month's dues. Apparently they no longer have my payment info, but my membership wasn't actually cancelled and I now have a balance that they expect me to pay off. How and why does this even happen? Is the plan to just continue adding to the balance and then send a collection agency after me?

I email their customer support and I am told that they have no record of my cancellation requests. How convenient. What's more, they tell me that I need to mail a letter to their office in Illinois in order to cancel my membership. None of the employees I've spoken to during this ordeal said anything about mailing a letter. It's also an asinine request. Would you trust a company that so blatantly makes their cancellation process as difficult as they can get away with? Furthermore, they are deliberately vague about what information to include in the letter. What if my request is rejected because I didn't include some irrelevant piece of information, like my date of birth? Will I have to write another letter and wait weeks for a response, being billed all the while?

I'm writing this review in the hopes that someone at XSport with something resembling a conscience will finally cancel my membership before I'm forced to pursue legal action.

Do yourself a favor and stay away from this awful, awful company. It's nothing more than a racket.

Every other machine will have an “Out of Order” sign and there are no attempts to fix them by management. Even simple hygiene routines like filling up hand soap at the sink is ignored. I’ve asked 4 different staff to fill up the soap dispenser in the mens bathroom for the past 4 months, and all of them have given excuses/blamed the cleaning lady. Lastly, it is NOT a 24/7 gym.

DO NOT EVER COME HERE! The employers don’t care about you, it’s extremely ghetto there, and they will treat you worse than a janitor if you work for them. I am a former employee and I was working out, put 2 plates on the machine, then went to get 2 more for the other side, boom my weights are gone. So I ask the trainer next to me “did you take my weights” he said no someone else did, so I went to ask that person, then I decided to move on to something else. The general manager comes to me and tells me that the lady wrote a formal complaint to the corporate office that I was harassing her and accusing her of taking my weights. I confronted the lady and the trainer that they are both cowards to talk to the GM behind my back. The lady then threatens me that her husband will COME AFTER ME. Later I was talking to the GM, and the trainer came outside and dropped his bag and said “IM OUTSIDE LETS SETTLE THIS” threatening to FIGHT ME. I told him I will call the police. Later the HR lady called me and said my behavior was unacceptable but I said I WILL NOT TOLERATE BEING THREATENED AND DISRESPECTED BY THE STAFF. She says RACHEL will call me but she never did. Anyways I can’t stand this place.

All the machines and the sauna have been broken for months now, regardless how many complaints and repair requests made. I brought my parents and friends over here. They constantly complain that there is over 20 equipments that are broken and after 6 months still not repaired.

The one review is because the staff are friendly, the people who come are clean and the bathrooms are clean.

When you sign up and mention the machines, you told repairs are done regularly. That was the biggest scam I fell for.

Not once have a machine been repaired. They put signs on the machines to text when a machine needs repairs, making it the paying customers jobs to check them. Even after several texts, it's still not repaired.

Lots of machines are broken and many machines are missing pins. How hard is it to supply a pin? The whole machine is out of order just because pins are missing. 🥲 Additionally it is so crowded in here you have to wait for a machines. I joined this gym initially back in in 2014 then canceled my membership when my schedule didn’t allow me the opportunity to go anymore. When I decided to start going to the gym again this gym was my first thought. I have been to other XSport gyms but I’m always drawn back to this one. I go first thing in the morning at like 4am (but with the temp hours I’ve been going at 5am) so I can’t speak much to the crowds but everyone, staff and members have always been super friendly and don’t mind stopping what they’re doing to help you find your airpod that falls through the stairclimber😚.
I have a premium membership and have never had an issue with billing and the only negative thing I have to say is trying to get customer service on the phone at the 800 number is such a hassle. I don’t think I’ve ever spoken to anyone from customer service since the pandemic started.

I joined this gym twice, once before the pandemic and then again after. Both experiences were the same: you get what you pay for. I had a premium membership, but no one cared. Folks do not clean the equipment. There are underage teens sitting on machines texting. I could not tan when I wanted to tan because the staff at the front desk did not know how to work the machines. The workout machines are limited. You get hounded by the personal trainers if you are not signed up for services. If you join, be aware that you have to send a certified letter to cancel your membership which is so 1982. I am done.

Just randomly charged me and I haven’t been to the gym since the onset of COVID. Wouldn’t let me cancel over the phone or online while gym was closed and now randomly charged me for every month they’ve been open. No communication about opening, no communication about payment. Would not recommend.

UPDATE 11/30/21 : Cancelled my membership in person in September and retained the paperwork. Received a random $75 Charge from Xsport. Called in and was told they see my cancellation and don't understand what the charge would be for. Currently sitting on hold with corporate for the past 20 min. I've taken a guest with me, they asked for ID card, my guest didn't have ID with her, while I was talking to front desk at the same time another lady bring a guest and they didn't have ID with her the manager still let the go but didn't honor me the same even after I requested that next time I will bring ID. I was very upset about it.
