Method Fitness is diamond hidden in a small Arlington neighborhood shopping plaza. It may not look like much from the outside but inside there is a group of elite educated personal trainers and a studio that reflects the work that they are doing one client at a time. My only fear is if they are ‘discovered’ it won’t have that intimate feel of a personal training space. I doubt that will happen as their owner and the team of trainers are all consummate professionals who take their passion for training to the highest level.

As an individual who has been around the sun a few times I have a keen eye for assessing people, places, and operations quickly and this place shines.

From the small studio with racks of weights, resistance bands, sleds, and a bulletin board describing the Krebs cycle you might feel like you are in an alternate gym universe, but they take their work to a higher level.

If you are here for socialization, go to one of the big gyms on Wilson ave. There are no machines where you have to wait for someone to finish their 3 sets punctuated by endless social media scrolling and keeping you waiting for the device. There are large digital clocks for everyone to be mindful of time, yours, the trainers, and the next client. Act accordingly. You may think by this description that the clients are also an elite group of athletes. There may be some, but I see non athletes, moms, dads, and grandparents who want to stay strong, get stronger and learn new ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I started training with Caroline Austin several months ago. She is a remarkable young woman who has given me a new sense of what I can accomplish with training to improve my overall fitness, core strength and balance. She is always prepared for our sessions, encourages me to push myself a more each time, and celebrates the improvements that I might not see. Before she expects me to start the exercise she shows me with incredible form what to do and gives gentle corrections to help me improve the work and keeps me from hurting myself. She has taken the time to put together a home plan and advised me how I might do this given my home configuration and pets. She explains with clarity the whys and why nots of techniques and how they help my ultimate goals.She laughs about my socks covered with dog hair, shares recipes, or new discoveries in the metro area. I have had several trainers in the past who cannot compare to her knowledge, skill and enthusiasm. Thanks Caroline and Method !!!!

I've been at Method Fitness for over a year now and absolutely
love it. I have primarily worked with Georgia and Robbie, but have had the pleasure of working with almost all the trainers there over time. You will not find a more caring, professional and kind place to workout with people who genuinely care about your goals and accomplishments. All of the staff know when to push you, but also know when you need to take a rest and focus more on recovery practices(even when you're not their personal client). Method has been a wonderful find, and whether you are new to working out or have been all your life, you will find a trainer and program that works for you here.

I began working with Georgia at Method in July - my first foray into personal training and weight lifting - and it has been among the best things I've ever done for myself. I came in with scant knowledge or experience in a gym setting (have dabbled in Orange Theory in the past, but otherwise I'm a yogi) and Georgia has been phenomenal. It has been a gift to just arrive, follow Georgia's program (her cuing, attention to detail, and descriptions/visualizations of technique and positioning are exceptional) and get strong! She is incredibly encouraging and we joke around the whole hour. My chronic neck/shoulder pain has resolved (!) and I find myself noticing new muscles all the time. I couldn't recommend Method and Georgia more highly.

Method Fitness really works as an intersection between smart, knowledgeable, attentive personal training and a genuinely fun, funny, and positive atmosphere. As someone who decided to start moving and getting in shape after years of no activity, I was worried that my specific issues and lack of experience would be a hindrance, but Method made me feel like I was in good hands while not taking themselves too seriously. My trainer, Cole Mercer, is phenomenal. He never just settles for the routine, but instead constantly makes adjustments as needed and attends to all aspects of my workout. If there's something that ends up as a particular obstacle, he always comes up with an alternative solution using his incredibly deep knowledge of exercise and movement. So glad I found Method Fitness, maybe 3 years ago. I’ve been going twice a week (except when out of town) ever since then. The atmosphere is warm, friendly and very professional. The trainers take their work very seriously, with well planned workouts and close attention to each client. There is also a lot of laughter and joy. Georgia and the Method Fitness team changed my life. I walked in their gym a super skinny runner boy who didn’t know a thing about lifting weights. Now I am a slightly less skinny runner boy with a ton more knowledge and confidence around a gym. Georgia worked with me to come up with a customized plan in order for me to reach my goals. She helps me with my nutrition and at home workouts so I can peruse those goals outside the gym as well. I will be coming to Method for a long, long time! My son worked out twice a week with Vanessa for the summer and took off his freshman 15. She was great with him, kept him motivated and he gained a lot of strength in just 3 months. I've been training with Britney 3x/week since February 2025, and it's been fantastic. I can tell that Britney puts a lot of thought into designing the sessions, because all the progress that I've made has felt very natural and sustainable.

I’m getting stronger and moving better without feeling forced or overwhelming. I’ve found myself building healthier habits and gaining confidence without even realizing it: I went from a couch potato to taking 8 - 12k steps/day easily, my mental health improved significantly as well since I'm now energized and confident to reach out to and hang out with friends.

The gym itself has a great vibe. All the trainers are friendly and supportive, even if you’re not working with them directly. For example, they sometimes notice me and give me feedback about my progress which helped me build confidence.

The past year has been a journey of getting back to the better days of my health and exercise habits. When I was ready to integrate strength training, I searched around for nearby personal trainers and landed on Method Fitness. I was pleasantly surprised to learn the initial consultation included a detailed analysis of my functional movement, which is an area I wanted to focus on improving. I immediately signed up for sessions and was paired with Jeff as my trainer.

Over the past five months, Jeff has expertly guided me in rebuilding my strength and functional movement at a reasonable pace that has also yielded great results. I’m consistently shocked by how much weight I can now lift, whether it’s at the gym or noticing how much easier an everyday activity now is – it’s awesome! Whenever I run into challenges or have questions, Jeff provides detailed advice and adjusts my workouts to ensure I continue to build strength and expand my range of motion. He’s also helped me to reduce repetitive motion injuries that crop up in my shoulders and back from playing tennis.

Sam Drucker is my trainer at METHOD Fitness. I am retired and he is young - Sam is smart, kind, and has a great sense of humor, attributes I valued for many years as a supervisor at work. I started with Method towards the end of last summer and it's been an incredibly positive, challenging and rewarding experience. As a fifty-something long-time runner and yoga enthusiast, who had previously never stepped foot in a gym, this is something I never thought I would say! The atmosphere is not at all intimidating -- but rather has a welcoming vibe like a family-style restaurant (but with good music). Everyone (trainers and clients) is friendly, welcoming and supportive. Sessions are punctual and packed full of everything from stretching and cardio to lifting and exercises I had never envisioned myself capable of executing. My trainer makes me feel like I'm his only client -- my sessions are perfectly aligned with my personal fitness goals and how my body is feeling/recovering in real time. I have the utmost trust in my trainer, specifically that he will never encourage me to do something I'm not capable of or that could be harmful. I feel like I can be really honest with my trainer and I really enjoy seeing and feeling the progress I am making. Like everything, you get out of it what you put into it. And I have to say that putting the time (and yes money) into Method has been one of the best decisions I've made. Perhaps what has surprised me the most is that my progress at Method has enabled me to make huge leaps in my bikram yoga practice. My newfound strength in my core, arms and legs has truly advanced my yoga practice beyond what I thought could ever be possible.

I have been going to Method Fitness to train with Cole for the last few months and have been very happy with my experience. Cole is methodical and encouraging. I love Method Fitness! I started training here about 7 months ago after experiencing persistent IT band syndrome with my running. And, as a woman in my 40s, I was finally starting to come around to the idea that lifting 5lb dumbbells in my basement was not doing much for me, and I really needed to work on some more serious strength training.

I "interviewed" another gym first, but what sold me on Method was that Aryan actually had me do some movements and exercises during the intake and provided detailed feedback and notes after his assessment. I also really liked the space and overall vibe.

I ultimately got paired with Cole, and it's been really fun to work with him. Cole is incredibly knowledgeable and explains the "why" not only the "how". He tailors my training to complement my running events, and writes out and keeps track of training blocks where we work on progressive overload and see improvement. Since coming to Method, I have run 3 marathons with no IT band pain. I also trained for and completed my first HYROX women's doubles race. This was a huge accomplishment for me, and Cole's guidance, tips, and encouragement helped get me there (wall balls!).

Method Fitness is one of the best decisions I've ever made. I started coming here at a real low point in my life. Getting in shape the right way, and avoiding injury in the process, did wonders for my mind, body and spirit. Almost two years later each training visit to the gym with my knowledgeable and patient trainer Jeff Peterson are highlights of my week.

There's a reason why they've been voted the best gym in Arlington every year they've been in business. The communication is professional, they're super understanding and flexible about scheduling. And the whole set up of the gym is about getting you a full workout with your trainer, targeted exactly to your needs, in an hour, with no time wasted. There's no waiting or setting up or planning or figuring out the equipment. No distractions. They treat everyone exactly the same, which is with complete respect. They're at your service. If you've never been to a gym, feel intimidated and out of shape, or have any other issue preventing your from going to the gym, this is the place you want to be.

I've always hurt myself working out, specifically my back. My trainer Jeff Peterson has been deliberate about fixing this. Now I'm much stronger, have much better posture, and I know "how" to strength train properly - FINALLY. He specifically tailored a program to prevent injuries and strengthen my back that I think will serve me well for a lifetime. Jeff is excellent about explaining the ideas and physics behind the workouts. By understanding exactly what I'm doing and how my body works it's a lot easier to improve my technique and push harder.

As for the music, they occasionally do play terrible stuff like Nickelback's "Rockstar" or something by some horrible contemporary artist like Lil Nas X, but usually it's pretty solid rock and pop. One day they played 50 minutes of Rush during my workout which was glorious so I'll call it even.

Method Fitness and Jeff are two of the best investments I've ever made. If I couldn't comfortably afford the sessions there are many things I'd cut out of my life so I could keep coming here.

Pretty stoked about this place.

I've seen a number of gyms and trainers off/on over the years, but this team has it *dialed in*, in all directions.

Method Fitness business communication is absolutely professional -- from person-to-person communication, to email, to text alerts/reminders, even being greeted at door, it's all easy, correct, and smooth.

My intake interview alone basically "sold" me -- Mateo and talked a lot, I unloaded a ton of stuff about details and goals and issues, and he heard every damn word and absolutely nothing was missed. Zero. He then rolled it into a perfect trainer selection for me. No surprises.

I get text reminders about the sessions, and all the staff work together as a team, as a single team, from the moment you walk in the door.

The facilities are perfect for meeting fitness goals. It's not a zoo of machines and noise and clutter and random people. There's plenty of space and all the right tools are there. There may be few other people there during my time slot, I feel like my trainer and I 'own' the the whole gym. No waiting for anything. No distractions, no wasted time.

Where Method *really* shines is the quality of their programming. I came in with all sorts of history, glitches, ideas, and goals, but they surprised me with more. My beastly and superb trainer, Jack Walter, pays laser attention and is addressing stuff in *hours* that I had not fully seen, and uncovers things I never even noticed! And then he immediately finds a way to address it. The excitement of "actually getting somewhere" is real.

These Method guys are *not* picking some rando workout plan out of a hat: it's absolutely tailored. I can't tell you how encouraging this is and how much hope it builds. For older folks, they put a special eye on mobility, injuries, and chronic issues and then target them for fixes.

Speaking of workout plan -- I didn't know Method, and they didn't know me, and they had the steady professional foresight to schedule in a few "figure things out" sessions to see where I was, and how I responded to training before -- I repeat, before -- starting a regular routine. This way, they know the regular plan will address my particular needs, and that I'll respond to it successfully. Like I said: Absolutely Professional.

Short Story, this is all after just a few weeks. I walked into this place thinking "OK, I'll try a handful of sessions" ....and now? My weights are going up every time. My flexibility and stability are improving. And I feel like I am going to be like the other people we see in the comments who go long and deep with this team.

I was previously working out with a personal trainer at a mainstream gym but wasn't feeling the benefit. I found method fitness through google, and from my initial intake with James to my weekly training sessions with Connor, I can see a big change in my strength levels and overall fitness.

Connor is a great personal trainer, keeping you motivated on the days that you don't want to give it your all and also knowing what your body can or can't handle all while being able to have a laugh in between sets.

The overall vibe and community in the gym is what stands out. In a lot of mainstream gyms and workout studios, people often get a sense of nervousness that other people are watching and judging, but at method there is non of that. Everyone from the trainers to clients are friendly and welcoming which in turn sets a positive tone.

The cleanliness is also great, it's well kept and maintained.

For ten years I’ve tried personal trainers/gyms in Northern Virginia, and none have come close to Connor Gannon’s expertise in creating individualized workouts to keep my mid-60s bones dense and halt muscle loss. The gym is awesome — every client is working one-on-one with a trainer so it never feels busy like a commercial gym and all of the trainers are great. I’ve been working with Aidan for a year and he’s been amazing to work with. I've been training at Method for about two months now. It's clean, organized, well equipped, and my trainer (Zach) has been excellent. Even the coaches I don't directly work with are friendly and professional, and just from observation, they seem as good with their clients as Zach is with me.

I also got some fine nutrition advice from Emily, Method's nutritionist.

The long and short of it is Method is great, and I have no hesitation recommending them.

I joined Method in July 2024. Prior to COVID, I trained with a few personal trainers at a gym (let's call it "Y" Sport) which required I go through their gym membership process and while I felt like I was getting a good workout in, I didn't necessarily feel like it was personalized to my needs. During COVID, I started home workouts with a home fitness app that was perfect for what I needed at the time, but after the pandemic when life and depression started getting more in the way, I knew I needed a change.

When I walked in for the intake, I immediately felt welcomed. The first question James asked was, "What do you do to stay active outside of your workouts?" He told me that part of their training philosophy was understanding the trainee's life outside of just working out and being able to target exercises that will make them feel better as they go about their daily lives. This holistic, functional approach to personal training is exactly what sold me on this place.

I was paired with Aidan, who from day one has been an incredible personality match and the best cheerleader. I'm not a morning person (my workouts are at 7am and the occasional 6am), but he legitimately makes working out a blast. Even outside of the trainer you're working with, the overall vibe of Method is great. The trainers banter and are having conversations with their clients. They're giving each other high-fives and cheering each other on. I was sick for 3 weeks and I was legitimately sad I couldn't train. I couldn't wait to get back.

We started with challenging mobility and stability exercises to get me to a solid foundation before getting to more focused strength training, but I didn't feel like it was wasted time. My hips, that are usually very tight, now work with me on back squats and my stability (which I didn't think was bad before) has reached new levels. After just 3 months it is clear that the work that I've been doing with Aidan is truly paying off (my boyfriend told me I needed to add "Aidan is a sculptor" to my review...). All joking aside, I feel more energized, my body doesn't hurt the way it used to before, and the way my body looks and feels overall is exactly the result I was hoping for with joining this group.

I also did the intro nutrition package when I joined and Emily was great. She gave me actionable tips for what I wanted to work on (higher protein lunches, how to manage travel, options for someone who HATES meal prepping and eating the same meals for a week). She also asked lots of questions about my schedule and gave me realistic things I could do to make getting enough protein (no, apparently I did not need to blend chicken breast in order to get 180g of protein--that I didn't need--in - actual advice from one of my previous trainers). I didn't continue with the nutrition package after the intro package, but I'm still using the advice and recipes she gave me while we were working together and the mindset shift of those conversations have been long-lasting.

I'm an office worker in my mid 30s and a fitness beginner. I had terrible posture (anterior pelvic tilt) and worse body awareness (what is bracing my core? How do I engage hamstrings vs. glutes?). My trainer Thoemaas is a badass; funny, patient, and most importantly knows exactly what he's doing. Any trainer could shout at you to do burpees or run laps. Thoemaas helped me understand how my muscles work together, and how to properly train so that it's always a productive challenge but never dispiriting. I feel much more confident and am making faster, steadier, injury-free progress than if I tried to do this on my own.

I've been working with Ryan for several months now, and the results have been amazing. As a woman in my early 40s, I was starting to notice my muscle tone fading fast. But since I started with Ryan, I can see and feel a big difference. I feel toner all over, and my muscle growth has been great.

I've enjoyed my workout sessions at Method Fitness. It's a sort of boutique gym -- training only, no other workout opportunities. You'd have to have your own home gym or get membership in another gym in order to be able to carry your workout sessions beyond the training sessions unless you're able to afford several training sessions each week. The atmosphere is friendly and non-pushy. It's clean and well lit. There's a nutritionist on site if you want a consultation. My trainer, Christian, was very thoughtful about the exercises he gave me in consideration of my osteoporosis. He's pleasant and knowledgeable about which exercises are recommended and which are not. Method is a real asset for the neighborhood.

Great environment (don't have pushy salesmanship associated with most gyms) and it's not crowded because the gym is just for personal training. I have been working with James Higgins since Sept 2023. In addition to personal training knowledge, he also possesses a wealth of knowledge in relation to physical therapy. I live in France and for several years now I have been working with a set of personal trainers. As I was going to visit friends in the Washington DC area for three weeks, I looked for a place where I could continue the trainings, and came across the Method Fitness website. (Note: Christian is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Senior Fitness Specialist.) I love this place. They match you with a compatible trainer. Mine was Mike but he moved after training with me for 10 months. I felt strong and challenged and was concerned about changing trainers. I have since started with Rob and I am feeling these new workouts in a good way. I feel stronger than ever.

There are never too many one-on-one sessions going on at one time. Half the time I am so singularly focused on my workout that unless it is another regular coming in or leaving at the same time, I feel like I am the only one working out. The trainers make sure they give other clients the space so you aren’t on top of each other. It is a seamless process. It is a friendly atmosphere.

If you live near Spout Run/Lorcom Lane area, it is a challenge to find a gym close by without heading into Ballston, Clarendon or Rosslyn and trying to find parking.

Method Fitness is definitely the place to go if you are interested in improving your fitness. They really know their stuff. Every exercise is individually tailored to get you to a better place. They don't overtax you but rather take you one step at a time to improved balance, strength, and general fitness. Their coaches work with you one on one at a pace you can handle to get you to a better you. And you can see and feel the results which is really encouraging. It makes you want to come back week in and week out to take the next step. It's the best exercise program I've ever been on.

And let me add a few words about my coach, Jeff Peterson. He's great. He knows what equipment and what exercises are necessary to work on particular body parts and muscle groups. He works with you to ensure your form is the right form to get the most out of your exercise. He doesn't overtax you but ties the exercises to the level you need to achieve a better state of fitness, moving you to the next step only when you're ready and able to take that next step.

Two of my favorite physical therapists recommended Method Fitness as a place where I could continue to build strength and add function safely. After nine months of work with Jeff Peterson, I am thrilled with my improvement! My trainer, Jeff Peterson, carefully composed a program that has improved my bad knee and weak arm while strengthening my entire body, including my core. I used to hate planks, but now they are easy! When I arrived I needed a knee brace and daily icing just to limp along. Jeff's program restored my knee strength so that I can again walk long distances without pain - with no brace, icing or medication. My legs, which before would not straighten completely, are once again completely straight.

The facility and the equipment is always spotless and I enjoy the upbeat music and friendly atmosphere. Most of all, I appreciate Jeff's patient encouragement which makes me believe that I will reach all my fitness goals.

Update: I decided to book the maximum number of sessions with nutritionist Emily Pietsch. I wanted to understand how to eat properly for someone who is weight training. I had heard conflicting advice about timing and amounts of protein needed. Emily explained why and how to put more protein into my diet, so that I can get the maximum benefit from training. She went way beyond that - she helped coach me into drinking more water than I ever had, and helped me figure out what was causing bouts of bloating and pain so I can now prevent it. I learned so much from Emily that I just signed up for another four sessions with her to see if she can help me lose a few pounds without losing muscle or energy.

I love coming here! I always look forward to my sessions with Noah. He’s attentive and modifies my exercises depending on my energy level, pain I may be feeling, and/ or strength levels. He also adds lots of variety to the workouts, never doing the same exercise in a 1 month span.

Coming from a non-athletic, non-exercisey background, I was a little intimidated at the prospect of working with a personal trainer but I've had a great experience at Method. The atmosphere is low key and friendly and the gym is really well-equipped.

I've been working with Thoemaas Lozier for 3-4 months now and he's a fantastic coach. Thoemaas is incredibly knowledgeable but down to earth, he has a talent for explaining things in a really accessible way that makes sense to me (plus he has a fondness for coming up with new analogies all the time). The process has felt very collaborative as Thoemaas adapts each day's workout with how I'm feeling, what progress I've made, what exercises I like (and sometimes an emphasis on the ones I'm less fond of). He's also been really great about talking me through things I can do at home to supplemental workouts - including stretching, meditating, and a little bit of nutrition info.

When I started working with him I listed my goals and Thoemaas went from there - identifying my weaknesses and taking steps to get me where I want to go. In the short time we've been working together I've seen huge changes and gains - my balance is much better, I'm a lot stronger, and a lot of my aches and pains I've dealt with for years have disappeared. I definitely feel stronger and more confident in my physical abilities, and I'm really thrilled with the progress I've made and I've definitely enjoyed the process more than I expected.

I enthusiastically recommend Method Fitness, and specifically my trainer Thoemass. I had been in physical therapy for hip arthritis and back issues for six months. After my PT ended, I wanted to continue to progress, and my therapist recommended Method Fitness. I am thrilled to have found this unique training center, and my trainer Thoemass. His personalized approach is geared to an understanding of your body physiology and your specific condition/s, and then developing a program to improve them, at your pace. Thoemass has developed a training program for me based on building strength, not necessarily how much weight I can lift or number of reps. Unlike personal training I’ve done at gyms in the past, Thoemass’ approach is truly “personal” training, tailored to my goal of maintaining an active lifestyle as a “senior”. In the past two months, I have definitely seen an improvement in my strength and stamina. Each session is structured, but never repetitive, and geared to how your body is feeling that day.

Method Fitness is only a one on one training facility, so it has a serious vibe in that everyone is there for a specific reason, and is committed, but the atmosphere is at the same time friendly and light-hearted. You will never to go back to personal training at a gym after you experience Method Fitness!

Method fitness has been an amazing push to really start working out in a sustainable and healthy way. Before this, I would go to the gym and do cardio a few days a week but I never really saw much of an impact. After a few short months I can tell how much more toned and strong I am and how much easier it is to lose weight. The trainers here are awesome and very professional, and cater your exercises to you. I spent so many years at the gym trying to follow online workout routines, wondering why I was never making any progress. Method fitness is a life-changing gym you must experience! Hands-down, Aryan and Mateo are the best personal trainers in the DMV. They are both personable and make it fun and enjoyable to train… I always looked forward to 6am workout sessions. The entire staff do an excellent job motivating you to keep moving and stay focused on achieving your fitness goals.
I routinely trained with Aryan for 2 years and achieved my goals of leaning out, building endurance, and strengthening my core. Aryan’s expertise helped me increase my strength and drop fifty pounds simultaneously in one year. This is the only gym that makes core workouts enjoyable (without having to sign-up for Body Pump or Pilates), and you see improvement within 30 days. The best part of all is that I know Aryan genuinely cared about me reaching my fitness and health goals.

I’ve done personal training on four separate occasions over the last 6 years. Method Fitness has by far been the best experience i’ve ever had — hands down. The trainers, specifically, Mike Bogdon have been reliable and incredibly knowledgeable on how the body works. In my experience, trainers at various gyms (OneLife, Golds etc.) have been late consistently, cancelled, and did not seem invested in my growth. I had never used a gym before (actually was intimidated by them) and had been fairly sedentary for almost 3 years when I came to Method and started seeing Noah. From the first point of contact until now, I've never had anything but a positive experience. Noah, specifically, has really helped me get over my "lost cause" attitude with his client-centered approach, professionalism, knowledge, creativity, and encouragement. He pushed me past what I thought was possible while respecting my limits and was even able to tailor our workouts on the spot when I was injured prior seeing him that day.

I'm beyond grateful to have found Method and Noah as I've gained more strength and confidence in a shorter time than I had expected and some of the concerns I came with have already had significant improvements (insomnia, chronic pain, energy, etc). I look forward to see where it goes from here.

My husband and I really like Method Fitness. He and I work out with Jeff but all the trainers are very friendly. We really like that it is a space where only the trainers and the clients work out. It’s not a big gym with a million machines and a million loud grunting gym rats haha When we walk in we are greeted and we get pumped and the workouts are great. I like the attention that Jeff gives us. One of the negative things I’ve seen from lots of reviews of other places is that the trainers are on their phones a lot (which we never experienced) and that trainers always try to sell you some protein powder or something (and that never happened either, I’m happy to say). Overall we have been very happy. Method Fitness is worth the rush hour traffic to leave DC and hop over to Virginia.

After experiencing some premature back pain for my age, I started going to Method Fitness to regain the strength I’d lost over the pandemic. Justin helped me train for my first powerlifting competition! I came to Method not knowing much about the major lifts. Each session I could tell Justin had spent time working on routines specific to me to help me learn and lift heavier weight safely. I spent about four months training with Justin on general fitness routines to keep me injury free and focused workouts to improve my lifts. My weightlifting improved a ton, but Justin also spent time explaining best practices and tips to get me confident enough to train on my own. Justin and I did a lot of incremental and diverse movements to get my form where it needed to be. I appreciated how often he would take time to explain the reasoning behind what we were doing or correct me so I could do things more effectively. Method itself is a perfectly maintained gym and is large enough that you and your trainer have dedicated space to work each session. Method is a friendly and welcoming place to train. I've been working with Mateo for about 12 weeks now and couldn't be happier. I love the set up of the studio - just the trainers and their clients, so no more than six people total at any given time when I've been, and all the equipment needed. Mateo does a great job of articulating exactly what I should be feeling when using proper form (i.e., "push from your heel," or "pull your shoulders in and down," etc), and which muscles I should be engaging with each exercise. And each workout builds on the last ones, with my progress documented each week. I have worked with trainers in the past who clearly just had a repertoire of exercises/workouts that they pulled from, without taking into consideration my own situation and abilities, but that is not the case here at all. I feel better, am stronger, and highly recommend Method Fitness!

Method Fitness is a brilliant concept and an entirely another level of one on one personal training. Ny trainer Lina is by far the most professional and caring fitness instructor I have had in nearly three decades of gym going. Being a health care provider myself I am amazed at the depth of Lina’s knowledge of healthy body kinetics. Even more I am impressed with her understanding of pathology and injury of musculoskeletal system and how to deal with it to give each client a complete and challenging workout. I have a bunch of chronic pain spots in my back and shoulders and every time I workout with Lina I actually feel better afterwards and the improvement continues over time. I literally believe I get better rehabilitation results at Method Fitness than at my sports and spinal physical therapy center. Also I love that workouts she gives me are always different. The variety of exercises she knows for each muscle group is unbelievable. Most importantly Lina keeps a close eye on my technique, constantly corrects my form and adjusts exercises to make sure I stay safe while still being fully challenged. I would definitely recommend my trainer to anyone: from a novice, to a seasoned fitnesses enthusiast, to a bodybuilder. She will not disappoint you!

I came to Method with an injury caused from doing exercises incorrectly at another place. Evelina helped get me passed that injury which had plagued me for months. The focus here is on building up a strong base while developing good technique.
