Metropolitan School of the Arts is a fantastic organization; their classes, teachings and instructors are second to none. Our daughter has attended for the past few years and as a family, we really enjoy the whole experience. Initially, we lived nearby and have since moved a bit further away. We decided the 25 minute drive to the school was worth it because we all enjoy it that much. Their productions are top notch as I was personally blown away by amount of effort and the creativity behind these performances. The arts are such and important part of culture and contribute more to our world than most realize. I'm glad we have such a wonderful performing arts organization in Northern Virginia. Thank you MSA!

Teachers are uninterested in their students. My child didnβt really learn anything from her teacher. All about money and donβt have good customer service. Better off finding other academies elsewhere which is so much less and better quality teaching.

The adult fitness classes at Metropolitan Dance are great! The instructors are top-notch and I personally love the barre and yoga classes. They also give you the option of taking class in studio or by Zoom which makes it super convenient. Try them out, you wont be disappointed!

I take yoga at Metropolitan Dance and love it. The instructors are professional and classes are small. After having taken yoga at five other centers /gyms I was delighted to find a true yoga studio. Melanie and Marion are excellent instructors!!!

Metropolitan Arts is a great place for budding young artists, offering instruction in music, musical theatre, dance, voice and other curricula. They offer students the opportunity perform as well. You need to commit to a certain length of time for most classes, but it is not particularly long.

Marion is an incredible yoga instructor, I highly recommend her! She's very patient with novice and inflexible folks like my self as well :-)

We have had really quality teachers here and a wonderful learning experience. Weβve also found the nickel and diming (like if your kid is in two classes in different recitals, you have to buy the quite expensive tickets twice) to be frustrating, and they cancel classes for βweatherβ even when there really isnβt any weather to be spoken of. So mixed bag of great classes and frustrating extra expenses plus constant fundraising pitches.

My daughters have danced at MSA for the last decade. They have excellent teachers, and a wide variety of classes. Dancers are able to participate in number of performances, both as a part of the regular classes or audition opportunities to perform in the yearly Nutcracker and Spring Production.
Both daughters now participate in their pre-professional companies which provide additional instruction and performance opportunities.
I couldn't have chosen a better studio for them, and am very glad I did.

This non-competition, student-first, dance studio was life-changing for our now college-age daughter, instilling in her an expected lifelong love of dance. It was our experience over nearly a dozen years that the MSA faculty and staff encouraged and inspired with an obvious love and passion for their craft. We never second-guessed or had any reason to reconsider our studio choice.

Iβve been dancing at MSA for around five years now and have had the most amazing experience! I have most definitely seen improvement in my dance technique and performance and have learned valuable life skills as well. The studio offers a wide range of dance, theatre, and music classes to all students, even those who are homeschooled. There are plenty of opportunities to showcase what weβve learned in fun and creative ways. I plan to remain at the studio for years to come!

Love MSA! There are so many opportunities in one place for music, dance, voice, and acting. The classes and teachers are so professional and fantastic!
I was amazed by their approach to classes and performances during covid and the wonderful work on their video performances! What a treasure for those students!

My daughter quit because she had to take ballet to take jazz. She has a deep hatred for ballet and refuses to be in a school that MAKES her take it.

It's a wonderful school of dance, music, theater, and musical theatre. It's particularly strong in classical ballet but I haven't really seen any weak areas. Wonderful teachers and students.

I enjoyed the delightful performance of Coppelia yesterday. The skill level was wonderful. The publicity picture and invitation in the Gazette was excellent. The choreography was marvelous, the costumes were handmade to fit, colorful, and adorable. The welcoming of guests, the professionalism by staff, the lighting and sound were excellent. I understand MFAC has an accredited school for the arts. Thank you for a special day of encouraging next generation to continue the value of Ballet.

My daughter has danced here for 5 years and has been a student at the Academy for the past 2 years. She is receiving excellent dance training from superb teachers. She has had many opportunities to audition and perform in wonderful productions. We are extremely pleased with Metropolitan and highly recommend it to anyone interested in top-notch dance, music/voice, musical theater, or acting instruction.

My daughter attends a dance class every week at the studio as well as the after school program, MetroClub. She loves every second of it. MetroClub is not like any other after school program out there. It's engaging and full of new experiences centered around the fine arts. My daughter loves being engaged in yoga and song theater. She is able to focus on homework as well. Her imagination is encouraged and her creativity blossoms. Couldn't be happier with Metropolitan School of the Arts Studio.

My son was involved in METROCLUB after school during kindergarten. We were very happy with the program and the staff. I was excited for my son to be exposed to music, arts, and dancing, which weren't things he had prior experience with. He enjoyed being there every day and had fun working on different craft projects. Additionally, we participated in the spring break camp and my son had a blast! He loved the different field trips each day.

This review is for MetroClub! I'm a really picky mom, and finding the right place for my boy is super important to me. MetroClub really spends time communicating with me and my little one. They play outside when the weather is nice, do yoga, theater, dance, and have lots of fun. AND as an added bonus if your child is taking classes at the Metropolitan School of the Arts, they will walk your kids to their lessons and bring them back again. I love working with MetroClub; the staff is great, the facility is clean and neat, they love my child, and always helpful, friendly and courteous.

My child attends Metro Club and a dance class at Metropolitan School of the Arts. She LOVES it. The 1st week of school I had to pull her away. The teachers are very personable and the kids are well behaved. I wish they had a before care program. I would be the 1st in line to sign my child up.

Metro CLUB is a fabulous Afterschool Childcare option that provides a fun and creative environment with its connections/assets of the Studio at MSA. My kids love it! I love that they get picked up at their local bus stop and transported to Metro CLUB safely! The drop in days on school holidays or teacher workdays are a lifesaver too with exciting field trips! All the providers are top notch and my kids love them!

My son has gone to metro camp on teacher work days for the last three years and we both love it. He has a blast doing a wide variety of activities including drama, song, dance, yoga, games, crafts, and educational/ recreational field trips. I have found the camp staff to be great with my son. We are all looking forward to metro camp this school year!

I go to the Academy at Metropolitan, and it is truly amazing. The teachers pay very close attention to what they think is good for you, and let you personalize you experience. The school teachers allow you to work wherever, and help you in a more personalized way. In public schools if you have a problem things don't really get resolved with other students or the teachers, here they really pay attention to you, and how they can help you. I have been dancing at Metropolitan for the past 8 years, and will definitely be dancing many more years because of the great experience they have given me.

Metropolitain is a poor studio. You have to pay for classes and the prices are extremly high. And you have to pay for costumes and tickets for the show. And if your not in the ensmble your kid only on stage for like one minute. And people have to watch kids they could care less about. But I like the voice program. In the recital each student has about equal time to sing. And Millissa yelled at me (I'm only in 6th grade) But I was trying my best. I was scared every week to go to dance because Millissa yelling at me. I wanted to have fun. But to me the only classes fun is acting and voice and other instrument classes.
