The 5:45am classes at Midlo Hot Yoga & Wellness have become the best part of my day. There's something special about our early morning guru-crew – a dedicated bunch of regulars who've formed our little sunrise community. Starting my day on the mat keeps me grounded and centered, ready to handle whatever comes my way.

Consider this your official warning: if you try the morning classes, you might just find yourself setting an alarm you never thought you'd set, and actually being happy about it. Side effects may include improved mood, a sense of community, and possibly becoming one of those people who loves waking up early.

Worth every sunrise. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have been coming to this studio since 2018, and it remains my favorite way to exercise and stay grounded. The people and instructors have a calm energy, and the studio room is a quiet space, which was different from other studios I’ve been to. I really appreciate the quiet policy, since the silence and dim lighting help me to get grounded. This studio has a welcoming, family feeling and does lots of different activities and pop-up classes throughout the year. I have noticed an improvement to my physical and mental health with consistent practice at Midlo Hot Yoga. Thank you all for bringing this wonderful practice to our community!

This is still by far the best hot yoga studio in the Richmond area! It keeps me fit and sane! The instructors are excellent and knowledgeable, and everyone on staff makes you feel like family. Try it—you won’t be disappointed!!

The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, offering guidance that works for every level—from beginners to advanced yogis. Each class feels thoughtfully planned, with a wonderful balance of movement, breathwork, and mindfulness. I always leave feeling refreshed, stronger, and more centered. Hours for the Midlothian location aren't great for setting a routine and different from other Hot House Yogas. On some days, they don't open till 9 am and others 5:30 am, rather than a standard 5:30 across the board. I thought they would be like other HHYs with set hours and 6 am daily class, so I showed up twice to join, thinking they would be open, but they weren't. Admittedly, it was my blunder not looking at this location's hours, but after looking at the hours I was a little surprised at the 9 am open for Mondays, and the span/variation of hours.

My recommendation is that for anyone looking for Yoga before work on a regular daily schedule, I recommend the Short Pump HHY. Unless, Midlo changes to a set time.

Past that, Hot House Yoga is a great way to start or end a day. I like Yoga after a Burn Bootcamp class, but again this location has varied hours so beware on that front.

Hope this helps.

It has been a long time since I’ve done hot yoga so I called and spoke with Matthew. He informed me of the class choices and was so sweet and helpful. I took one of his classes (Flow) and it was good hard work. I enjoyed the challenge. I also came and took a Yin class with Sarah one day and Nancy (who convinced me to get my first unlimited month of yoga) on another day. I enjoyed Yin yoga a lot. I was so calm in Savasana I almost fell asleep. Lolol A good class for beginners. I don’t mind the heat and the candlelight classes are my favorite right now. I’m excited to see what more I can do there. I just really appreciate the staff being informative, kind, and welcoming. Thanks again 🙏🏾💐🧘🏾‍♀️

I went to my first hot yoga class here a little over a year and a half ago and I've been coming back ever since! I do drop in classes just because it is about a 25 minute drive from me and I work so often, it's definitely worth the trip no matter how close or far. Yogaloties is AMAZINGG, thank you Bruna! I also LOVE the candlelight classes. Definitely either of those are a must. I still consider myself veryyy much a beginner and a lot of the classes are beginner friendly like the ones I mentioned! My favorite part is definitely the end of class when the instructor comes around with the cold lavender towel, like it's just the cherry on top. I remember after my first class feeling like I just got baptized and that's what keeps me coming back. Great instructors and super friendly members!!

If you’re looking for a yoga studio that feels like a warm hug, look no further than Hot House Yoga! The moment you step inside, you're greeted by a spacious room that invites you to stretch out and breathe deeply. The soft, squishy floors are a dream for your joints—no more worrying about those hard surfaces!

The teaching style here is gentle and encouraging, making it perfect for anyone, especially if you’re a bit older or, let’s say, not the most flexible person in the room. The instructors do a fantastic job of guiding you through poses without any pressure, making it easy to follow along and enjoy the experience.

The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed, making you feel right at home from the first class. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or just dipping your toes into the practice, Hot House Yoga has something for everyone. So grab your mat and come join the fun—you will love it!

The massage therapists are outstanding. I started with Matt, who was instrumental identifying an underlying issue causing years of pain and degrading mobility. Debralee took over after awhile due to scheduling conflicts, and in concert with a great Physical Therapist has literally changed my life!

I love hot house yoga! I've been coming to the studio consistently for 6 months now. When I've taken exercise or yoga classes in the past I would start to lose interest after awhile, but I always enjoy classes here and really look forward to them during the week. I feel so good during the class and afterwards too.

Matt Hoffman gives the best deep tissue massage around. I drive from Downtown Richmond to Hot House Midlothian for my appointments. He is very knowledgeable in sports massage and can isolate muscles that need extra attention as well as give a whole body deep tissue massage.

I love going to hot house!! It has become my second home. The instructions are great and the students are fantastic. I took Bruna’s pelvic floor workshop yesterday and it was nothing short of magical. The perfect balance of challenging and yumminess. Connecting with my inner feminine power reminded me how I can be powerful while still being a soft feminine goddess. Thank you Bruna for always showing up for us and for guiding us in the most splendid ways.

I came to Hothouse three years ago with a chronic cough and a heavy reliance on inhalers. Slowly I was able to get off the inhalers and lessen my cough. Bonus was that I could tell my body was getting stronger and more flexible. It is incredible to see the difference from where I started to where I am now. Each instructor is kind and supportive and I cannot say enough good things about this studio.

I started here almost 2 years ago, new to yoda completely because I have always been nervous since most judge bigger people who tryout yoga. Hot House Yoga has not once judged me but welcomed me-they knew me and my sister's name after only a month of going once a week! The instructors I have had are nothing but helpful and sweet and do not make feel bad at all if there is something I can't do but instead give alternative ways to get into a pose. Cheryl and Bruna are definitely my favorite instructors. Since starting yoga, I have felt so much better mentally and physically; my balance is so much better as well as my posture. I've been able to notice when I'm slouching more during the day at work or even at home. And I feel so relaxed when I leave! It's the one thing I look forward to Tuesday evenings and most Saturday mornings when I can go! :-) Thank you Hot House Yoga!

I don’t know how to put into words how much finding Hot House Yoga has meant to me. It feels like the answer that years of acupuncture, chiropractors, physical therapists, massage therapists, and workouts have been leading me to. It’s all of the healing, strength training, stretching combined with the quiet and space to explore my own spirituality. It’s life changing! I especially love Yolates with Bruna and candlelight classes. I even brought my husband for our tenth anniversary date and he loved it too!

I am new to yoga and just walked in to see what it was about. Very welcoming and they lent me a mat and towel for the first session. I am in my first month and really enjoying it. The instructors are very clear and it has been easy for me to follow along. The best thing about the place is the people.

I taught yoga for years, but moved and have had a hard time finding a good yoga community. I finally did with Hot House Yoga!
As soon as I walked in, I felt welcomed. The employees are genuinely friendly, not just pretending to be. The bathrooms and changing room are built with privacy in mind. The studio has padded floors and the ceiling has soft shaded, dimmable light fixtures with a painting of a blue sky day with soft clouds.
The class offerings are varied, from advanced athletic to calm and relaxing. If you forget a towel or mat, it's only $2 to rent one and they offer complimentary blocks. The instructors are kind and offer different ways to do each posture, from beginner to advanced. They keep the lights lowered and play calming, relaxing music throughout. By the end, I feel like I got a great workout and have found a sense of peace. Its like a little church and I am SO thankful I found it.

Every time I am in Richmond I make it a point to come to this yoga studio. The instructors and staff are very kind and engaging and the classes aren't crowded (in a good way). The instruction is very good. A potential upgrade would be for the instructors to be more hands-on and give assists or help the yogis to get deeper into poses. The studios where I primarily practice give frequent assists and it is a wonderful benefit. Thanks!

I have been a self-taught yoga practitioner and acquired good and not too good habits. This studio focuses not on variety for each session but on consistency. Each session have the constant flow which I find very effective. In many other yoga studio each session is different and you end up looking at the teacher instead of concentrating on your poses. With the consistent flow you learn the right techniques and fine tune your poses and know what to expect next.

So why not practice on your own once you learn the flow?

Its the studio itself. The room is heated but extremely well ventilated. It is clean and the staff are top notch. You can probably find cheaper studios but why skimp on your health and well-being?
