Thankful programs like these still exist for those not interested in traditional sports/fitness.
Met Emily, Erin, and Harry on my first day. Lovely people helping kids learn alternative practices for muscle movement, energy focus, and the kids have so much fun! First parkour class was amazing and didnβt feel like a full body workout, I laughed the entire time. Doing Intro to Aerials next and canβt wait for the same experience. My daughter and I love it here. Looking forward to the new location too!

My daughter did not enjoy the parkour. She said it was boring and they did not do much. She said she only liked the two games at the end.

Nice enough place but they cancel class about half the time (especially silks) which makes the membership a rip off.

My kids have been taking parkour classes here for about 6 months and love it. Clean, spacious, and well maintained gym with a variety of equipment. Great selection of classes for both kids and adults. Instructors clearly know their stuff and make learning and practicing skills fun. Definitely recommend Urban Evolution!

Took an adult intro to parkour class with my sister for the first time and had so much fun. We have zero experience with parkour (I literally mean never tried it in our lives). We are also both plus size people and Iβm 29 and sheβs 39 so we arenβt super young either so I was a little nervous going in. We had the best coach. He was funny, helpful, knowledgeable, encouraging and patient. We ended up being the only two in the class which was so nice considering we are below beginner level. Overall it was a great experience and would go again! It made me feel more confident about trying new things as an adult

Been here for one intro class and enjoyed it. I called in to ask more information on specifics for a private lesson and was answered with rudeness and sarcasm. I was just trying to get specifics on how long private classes were if there was more than one person because I didn't understand the pricing. Pricing for 2 people it's $126 for only one hour but if you book 1 hour per person it's $70 per hour... So you pay $126 for a single shared hour or $14 more at $140 for 2 hours. I would get it if it was an extra $10 or $15 per added person but it's unreasonable to charge an extra $56 when all the same materials are being shared.
Updated: owner called me and explained more about the pricing and apologized for the poor customer service. Seems like a good person is running this place and the call is enough to make me reconsider coming.

Great gym, great instructors, always a fun time! Not just for kids either; they have classes for adults, including those of us over 35yo. Strongly suggest you try a class if you're even a little bit curious!

I am so disappointed. My daughter has been wanting to do the Intro to Aerial for a few weeks. We scheduled a class a few weeks ago. We drove 25-30 minutes to the Alexandria location and it was closed with no notification. I called the next day and was told someone would reach out and that the aerial teacher wasnβt feeling well. I called back and confirmed to just show up to another class. We attempted this Sunday (a few weeks later) and another day where the instructor was not feeling well. Still no notification by email or on website.
Either I have bad luck or the buisness isnβt running this section correctly with customer satisfaction in mind.
Itβs not so much about the time wasted as it is my daughter dosnt get to try something sheβs been looking forward to for a month now.
(Also I paid for the session, asked for refund will update if there is an issue with that as well.)
Update****
A manger reached out and has offered a free class and my money back.
Very kind gesture and appreciated. We have not utilized services but I am always understanding when the business attempts to rectify the issue. I will be adjusting my star rating for the gesture. If we attend a class we will certainly adjust the review then as well.

I took my daughters to Urban Evolution as something different to do while on spring break... well worth it. They were given semi-private instruction in parcour and aerial silks and thoroughly enjoyed both. The instructors were very knowledgeable in their sport and made learning new skills fun...I wish I had done it, too.

We hosted my 10 year old's birthday party here on a Sunday afternoon. The 12 girls had a wonderful time & the host was great with our kids. I would highly recommend Urban Evolution if you're looking to host a small gathering where the kids will both have fun and get some exercise!

My kids love coming here. We started parkour for my son because he was already doing parkour around the house, might as well learn how to do it safely. Then my daughter saw the aerial silks class and just had to do it. The staff are great with kids but they have classes for adults, too. Everything is indoors so it's perfect winter physical activity.

Unique Gym for everyone. Excellent kids experience and really welcoming to everyone. Has a real diverse mix of skills/classes so always a good idea to check the calendar. It also helps that its located at the exit right before traffic starts on the 395

Such a fun gym! I'm gonna sign up for a membership next month, I've been to a few aerial sills classes and I absolutely love it and want to try the adult gymnastics as well.
Great location off the hwy and parking as well. It's kinda expensive but it's also a completely different type of gym with instructors and classes that are smaller and more intimate.

Great focus on parkour moves in class, practicing several different techniques in a session to allow students to rest muscles and switch focus (from flow to balance to momentum, etc.). Excellent tailoring to each students level to keep the class challenging yet manageable for all attendees. Inviting and relaxed environment, including the other students, and inclusive age range. Teachers are welcoming and professional. Classes and results feel rewarding.

There was no notice to customers that they were closed....seemingly permanently closed. Summer camps, classes, and passes all paid for in advance are not being fulfilled, nor are they being reimbursed. They have stopped responding to customers. If you spent money, talk to your credit card company to dispute the charges.
I'm hope that the owner(s) and employees are doing OK in this tough time.

Fantastic gym with amazing staff and trainers. I have one enrolled in the pico class and it's a great way to get your kids some intense activity when it's cold outside. They learn how to land safely from some reasonable heights and get to play in a big foam pit at the end of their "class" for the day.

This place is awesome! My boyfriend and I, along with eight friends, did this for my birthday this past Saturday. We had been to another ninja gym prior and I liked this one a lot more. It's more parkour and a full body approach than the primarily upper-body focused approach of ninja warrior gyms. So I was able to do everything they showed, as could everyone else, even if some things took a few tries to get. It was also a great and fun workout. :)
Mike and Gloves were our 'guides' and they were funny, helpful, and made sure we all left intact. Can't recommend them enough!

As a professional aerialist, I was very disappointed in this studio. The space was great, with high ceilings and lots of open gym time available, but the instructors were not knowledgeable or concerned with safety. They are not certified, did not spot other students, and generally had a sour attitude. I came here for two classes before officially deciding to throw in the towel on this studio.

Kids have been going here a few years now. Good People. Classes depend on the instructors, but they seem to have really nice people who try hard to make the classes a good experience for the kids.
Layout and challenges are modified a bit from time to time, the limited gym section is growing (not a full gym, but more than enough for a good afternoon workout), and the instructors make it all work.
Mostly I *love* their payment set up - pay for ten classes and come to any ten classes that work for you, really can't get much fairer than that, especially when dealing with kids and family schedules.
Great place, we will keep coming back.

This review isn't on the actual gym, but about the kids birthday parties Urban Evolution hosts. The purpose is to have kids do a bunch of obstacle courses which are led by multiple instructors. One in particular was a total disaster and was basically yelling at the kids. He was expecting them to behave just like the typical adult patrons that come into that place - these are 4 & 5 year olds! Parents beware about having your kids bday parties at this location.

I definitely love this gym. They offer unique workouts and fun classes you don't find anywhere else. I have seriously enjoyed taking the aerial silks class but have also explored a variety of other classes. I do think some of their instructors are not that qualified. They might be great at their sport, but they need to be better coaches. However, since a lot of these classes are new, it's probably hard to find qualified teachers. But, I've noticed improvements in the past few months. The atmosphere is also great and it is just a fun place to work out and stay motivated.

I love this gym. I take the Urbanfit classes and they challenge me without completely overwhelming me. I am a total weakling and when I can't handle whatever I'm supposed to be doing in class the instructor will seamlessly modify the workout to fit my fitness level. I've seen them modify workouts to make them harder for more physically fit people too. The best thing about this gym though is how kind and accepting everyone is. I am pretty fat and out of shape and no one has ever made me feel uncomfortable or embarrassed about my lack of skills or my shape. All of the employees and other gymgoers are truly lovely people and I am extra motivated to go to my classes because I know the people there will miss me when I'm gone. Yes the gym is kind of expensive, but I really do believe that it is 100% worth the price. This is the only gym I've been to where I feel completely comfortable and appropriately challenged. Also, the classes are great and have been a huge help in getting me back into shape.

This is a great gym for anyone who's tired of "conventional" gyms. Tired of doing the same routine? At this place you can literally jump off the walls and learn to do flips and rolls and things you'd be kicked out of other gyms for doing. The owners/staff are awesome people and are really helpful. I use it for "competition training" for when I run things like Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder. GO TO THIS GYM!!

I've been training here for a while, taking parkour classes, and I think what I love most is how frequently I surprise myself with new abilities. Things that seemed impossible a few months ago are now part of my routine. It's like a self-contained adventure. Or live action video game. And my physical condition has never been so good. Playgrounds for grownups rock.
